we wanted to give you a bit more insight into how the Hunt Club Beta is performing, what changes have been made and how the payout of rewards will work regarding these changes.
First of all, we are very happy and thankful that many of you jumped directly into the Hunt Club Beta! This is only the beginning, but it is vastly more helpful to develop the feature alongside all of you, than in an isolated development environment.
We had a couple of hiccups during launch, but thanks to the weekend dedication of Calle, our Back End programmer, the system seems to be holding its ground so far. Initial feedback has been excellent, based on early findings we’ll put more work into making the feature easier to understand, easier to read and will look into what other rewards are possible among other things. Thanks a lot for all the suggestions and discussions and please do keep them coming!
We are currently seeing an issue for our Chinese hunters who can’t participate in the Hunt Club Beta. Your participation is not registered by the system, which also does not let you claim rewards. We don’t have a solution yet, but we’ve located the cause of the issue and will continue to investigate a potential solution.
Rest assured that you will receive the .270 Stradivarius if the community succeeds in reaching the goal. You might receive it a bit later than the rest, but you will get it.
In regard that so many hunters can’t participate in the Holiday Event, we decided to reduce the needed harvests from 300.000 to 200.000. This change should already be visible in your Hunt Club if you look at the number of needed harvests. Please note that the progress bar might not update this change correctly.
As a final update, the leaderboard segment of the Hunt Club Beta has been taken down for the time being. We’ve received plenty of data and feedback to work with and appreciate all of your contributions. Watch this space for the next version in 2018
More events will go live throughout December, so please do check out the Hunt Club on a daily basis.

We’re extremely excited to give all of our PC players access to the Hunt Club Beta this holiday season! Once the feature is live, players will be able to participate in new time-limited events every day and unlock great rewards. Earn bonus XP, money, and even a brand new weapons by participating in events!
To cap everything off, we are running a community-wide event with an amazing prize for everyone who contributes: the .270 STRADIVARIUS, a premium engraved variation of the .270 HUNTSMAN.
To participate in the community holiday event, simply launch or join a multiplayer game and harvest an animal that was downed by a single shot. Once the community has contributed 200,000 harvests, every player will receive this brand new rifle.
Do your part and help the Call of the Wild community unlock this gorgeous weapon by joining the event!
In addition to the main event, there will be new daily events beginning every day at 9:00am CET and concluding at 9:00am CET the next day. Every daily event has 3 reward tiers. You can claim your rewards from the Completed Events Section of the Hunt Club menu after reaching that tier.
To claim rewards from the Hunt Club, go to the Hunt Club sidebar in the in-game options, and claim it from the COMPLETED EVENTS section. You can claim rewards from the Hunt Club as soon as you complete events. Be sure to remember that many events have multiple tiers with greater rewards for each tier.
As always, let us know what you think and happy hunting!

Some of you who joined us for our stream on Tuesday may have been lucky enough to see us showing off a sneak peek of today’s big news, the addition of our new Hunt Club (beta)!
This first iteration of Hunt Club should give you plenty to do over the holiday period, and even gives a way for you to get your hands on an exclusive weapon skin! We really hope you enjoy the fun challenges we have lined up for you.
Just to reiterate, this is a beta feature, and as such will be tweaked and changed over the coming weeks and months. Have a look at the rest of the improvements in this patch and please do let us know your feedback via the Steam Community Hub.
Happy Hunting theHunter: Call of the Wild Team
Features
Hunt Club (Beta) The Hunt Club features daily, weekly and other hunting events in the game that you can complete for rewards. Shine as sole hunter to get a place on the global Top 10 ranks or come together as community to reap special rewards - the Hunt Club will offer variety and a reason to hunt at any time. Please note that this feature is being released as a beta. Not everything will work flawlessly.
.270 STRADIVARIUS, a premium engraved variation of the .270 HUNTSMAN obtainable via the Hunt Club
Gameplay
Fixed bug where using multiple weapons using the same ammunition could result in a negative total ammunition count.
Fixed bug where using non-weapon items aimed at other players in multiplayer would result in an “invalid target” prompt being displayed.
Fixed bug where the pellet spread for the Caversham 12-gauge shotgun was very wide with all ammo types

First, we want to welcome all new hunters that picked up the game during the autumn sale. Thank you very much for giving the game a go, and welcome!
Today’s patch is mostly about maintenance and small game improvements. Here’s some highlights:
* Spotting animals in Multiplayer will now highlight the spotted animals for all players around the spotter. We hope this will make spotting more useful when playing with other hunters and are looking forward to your feedback.
* The checks for animals getting stuck, especially at cliffs like the crater in the Medved-Taiga, have been improved. They should not simply disappear any longer.
* We had some feedback from the community that the 12-gauge shotgun could give a little bit more “bang for your buck” (pun intended!), as such the 12-Gauge Buckshot’s damage has been increased per pellet and should pack a bigger punch now.
Additionally thanks to community reports the patch also features another round of fixes and improvements for missions - thank you very much for your consistent feedback and reporting!
As always, thank you very much for your feedback and let us know what you think about the latest changes. Scroll down for the full release notes.
Happy Hunting
