Today we have a very special treat for all fans of theHunter: Call of the Wild. We’re excited to announce the reveal of our second major hunting reserve, Layton Lake District, as part of the release version of theHunter: Call of the Wild. Set in the Pacific Northwest, ‘Layton Lake District’ offers a dramatic departure from the mellow autumn hues of the previously announced Hirschfelden hunting reserve. Featuring dense pine forests surrounded by snow-covered peaks; the vast landscape is inhabited by majestic game like the Moose, the Whitetail Deer, the Roosevelt Elk, the Black Bear, and more.
A total of 14 unique base weapons are available across the two massive reserves, ranging from long-range rifles to stealthy precision bows and agile handguns. Some can be customized with scopes and outfitted with different types of ammunition. A set of skills can also alter the way you handle weapons, like decreasing recoil or reloading faster in a tight spot.
We will be releasing more detailed information on the weapons and animals featured in theHunter: Call of the Wild over the next days, leading up to launch on the 16th of February, so stay tuned.
And now the moment we’ve all been waiting for - We’re proud to present to you the official release trailer of our beautiful reserve ‘Layton Lake District’.

We're very excited to announce the creation of 'theHunter Heroes', a small volunteer team of game testers for theHunter: Call of the Wild, and now we are looking for participants like YOU!
So, what does it mean to take part in ‘theHunter Heroes’ team for theHunter: Call of the Wild? Well, it means you get access to a pre-release version of the game so you can play, hunt and roam the vast forests and fields of Hirschfelden. In return you will provide us with feedback on your game play experience, report potential bugs and test all aspects of the game. All the participants of the group will have a direct line to the dev team and you will be able to give your input on a regular basis and have a chance at affecting how the game grows and develops over time.
If this sounds interesting and you would like a chance at joining our volunteer game tester team then please fill out our application survey: [Applications closed]
We really hope to hear from you!
- Your theHunter: Call of the Wild Team
EDIT: Thank you all very much for the overwhelming support and response. We have received over 700 applications and will be filtering them over the next days and get in contact with the selected volunteers as soon as possible. The application form has now been closed.
