Hello everyone long time no see with one of these!
We are constantly getting questions from you guys about the development status and how it's going so we have decided to bring the Development updates back! These will release every week giving you fresh updates on what the team is working on! So without any further lollygagging check out what we have been up to this past week as I ran around the office trying to sneak out some photos for you fellas!

Also important announcement! As you will, and already have, see we have been working hard on optimizations and removing the issues in the game. This not only showed more time consuming than expected but also still requires work on the issues. Considering that we had a team meeting and decided to push the 0.7 update to Q1 2022. We did not take this decision lightly as we know you were hoping to get 0.7 as an early Holiday surprise. But the decision has been made to rather take more time to polish it and work on it further so we can provide you the best survival experience out there in the best state possible. Thank you all for understanding and do not worry, we still plan to release you a little something for the holidays.





Programmers have been hard at work this week, here is what they have:

  • Further work on the master/game server communication, reducing the lag and disconnection issues of players.
  • Resolving RPC issues, resulting in decreased lag between the player and the server.
  • Further work on the inventory rework, crucial for the 0.7 update and decreasing the strain on the servers.
  • Further work on the crafting system rework, resulting in a better experience and less crashes in the game.
  • Further work on streaming optimizations, resulting in less lag while traveling in the game.
  • There has been further work on the planes. We've created the fueling/draining system for planes and the ability to take off/land. Bailing out with a parachute is now also possible and actual collision detection and health system has been implemented.
  • Trader UI is in high production
  • Prototype for the Metahumans implementation has been finished.
  • The parachuting system and is waiting for testing feedback.



  • Resolving the issues with the vehicle inventory.
  • Temperature system rework has been finished and is awaiting testing.
  • Tweaking the traders and working together with the level design team about implementing them on the island.
  • Working on the Russian roulette feature. (yep you read that right)



  • Working on DLSS 2.0 implementation.
  • Bug fixing.


  • BB elements optimization, decreasing streaming strain when approaching bases.
  • Optimizations for items and textures, decreasing streaming strain and stutters when approaching POIs.
  • Optimized the textures, resulting in less lag and occurrences where textures are not rendering or popping up.
  • Creating the HLODs for the new outposts and landscape blending for the airplanes.

Another hotfix, so many hotfixes that you can't really complain you are cold this winter. Check it out!




  • Fixed the issue where the render resolution would be set at 10 for some users.
  • Fixed the bug where lights on vehicles would turn off after you exit the vehicle.
  • Fixed the bug where suicide puppet would continue laughing and beeping after he was killed and detonated.
  • Fixed the issue where the motion sensor detonator and laser detonator wasn't possible to be placed on mines.
  • Fixed the issue with lockpicking where on initiating the lockpicking it would cause the screen to go dark and cause lock to be invisible when inside the lockpicking minigame.
  • Fixed the bug where initiating eat or eat all options would make the item disappear completely. - If you're still having issues with this, please try deleting your local SaveFiles folder.

Hey everyone we are back with the hotfix, we are continuing the optimizations streak. Here is what we got and we will have more news for you soon! Check it out - >





  • Fixed the bug where it was able to place multiple cabin doors on one location.
  • Fixed wrong caption on desert ghillies.
  • Fixed the bug where quick access was not saved after relog.
  • Fixed the bug where sound wouldn't stop playing after exiting to the main menu.
  • Minor fixes and improvements for settings menu.
  • Fixed the bug that could cause player to get stuck when opening/closing vehicle door.
  • Fix the bug where resolution was being displayed incorrectly in the settings menu.
  • Fixed the bug where voice chat volume slider would not show up.
  • Fixed the bug that prevented prisoner from dropping an item in hands while drinking from some water containers.
  • Wells can now be damaged with all damage sources.
  • Further server optimizations.

Known issues:
  • If you try to equip a backpack whilst sitting inside the vehicle and having a backpack equipped, your backpack will disappear.
  • If you try to drop a chest out of the vehicle by using the "Drop" interaction or dragging it out of the vehicle while sitting in the vehicle, the chest will be inside of the car. To temporary fix this issue move the vehicle a bit, and drag the chest around while near the vehicle you removed it from.
  • Some players might experience lower render resolution on startup and will need to increase it again in settings.


  • 9mm ammo can now be stacked up to 30 bullets per stack
  • Reduced damage to footwear.
  • Reduced energy and water consumption rates.
  • Removed unusable items from the spawn pool.
  • Disabled interaction while aiming down the sights and scoping, preventing player to get stuck in some cases.

  • 10:00/10am

Hello everyone, guess what? Yep time for another update. We have some new content for you and another round of optimizations. Check it out!




So we are doing another round! We heard your feedback and did another round of optimizations. Won't bore you with the technical details and boring nerd stuff, but you should be seeing a much better performance after this update. As always we are constantly monitoring your feedback and adapting it to development. Oh and it might've been crucial for something in the future but who knows.



Let's start with the new POI. What is a civilized area without all the junk. And that junk needs to go somewhere.







This new POi situated in the B0 sector is a perfect place for scrap junkies, hoarders or just people that love that ominous feeling during the night.







Right you all always have new things to request don't you? Fine we are here to please. You've got your gun racks to store your weapons but it still didn't satisfy that gun nut aesthetic itch. Well here are some wall mounts to hang your items on. Feel free to hang that shotgun right at the front door just so no visitors don't get any funny ideas.



Smooth , slick and cool it is time to put your own deadly flair on your walls.



Here is the big one. We have completely revamped the settings system. The first thing you will notice is the new UI.



It is much more streamlined and better looking right now and makes the access to your settings easier.
As for the settings themselves we have added a bunch of new options, streamlined the others and had a little tinkering in the back end of things. The result is not only better performance on the client side, but gives us more control over the graphics to optimize the setting variability depending on the quality you want to set on your PC.

  • Baseball bat with spikes can now be made with the Blazebat.
  • Tweaked the materials needed for several BB elements.
  • Tactical gun holsters will now drop rags instead of animal skins when cut.
  • Tweaked the firearms damage.
  • Construction gloves have been swapped with Insulating gloves in cargo drops.
  • Inventory can now be accessed in vehicles by pressing TAB.
  • Oysters are now edible.
  • Improved the vehicle camera performance on low fps.

  • Fixed the bug where the physics of vehicle collisions would mess up.
  • Fixed the bug where weapon rack could not be repaired.
  • Fixed the wrong skewer meat metabolism caption.
  • Fixed the bug where weapons would sometimes glow after you take them from the weapon rack.
  • Fixed the bug where animal corpses would have a huge collision box around them.
  • Fixed the bug where player could not strain the bow when strafing in First person.
  • Fixed the bug where the toolbox would not despawn even though it has 0 usages left.
  • Fixed the bug where if you would grab an item in hands while in vehicle it would despawn the item.
  • Fixed the issues with 2 wheel vehicles.
  • Possible fix for the lag spikes.


  • Upgrading to brick and concrete walls now require advanced engineering skill level.
  • Cooked vegetables can now only be cooked in cooking pot.
  • Rain collector items can now be maintained like chests and will not disappear until the expiration time reaches zero.
  • Adjusting bomb defusal sensitivity in the options menu now also affects the killbox locks minigame.
  • Gun powder now despawns when it reaches 0 usages.

Hello everyone, happy Spooktober! We have a special spooky update for you so let's get to it!



So we have some new seasonal features for you all and some of the more permanent ones. So let's start with the spooky ones. There are some I will mention here and some I will leave as a... surprise. So let's get to it!

You might want to check out that cabin location again. You know the one.



Popular from last year the spooky fog is back! Giving you all that ominous feeling on the island and excellent excuse to drive on roads like jackasses.



But we he heard the concerns from the last time fog appeared on the island, that it got really annoying after a while being always on. So we now introduced a proper fog system. The fog will now have a chance to appear depending on the time of day and weather change. But when it hits it hits hard, so make sure you keep that situational awareness because you never know what dangers the fog brings.



Have you ever wondered "hey I am using this sword to kill so many puppets but my weapon is never bloody?" Of course you did our little psychopaths, and we are here to oblige you. Besides what better way to seethe horror into your opponent hearts than charging at them with a bloodied weapon right before you get shot.









We added bikes recently and in that post we promised more variety of them and we are here to deliver. For those extreme sports enthusiasts and energy drink connoisseurs, mountain bikes are now in!





So get your tightest pants for maximum speed and go break a leg, yours or someone else makes no difference to us.



We have a new POI on the island right now the Salt ponds! That is right, we decided there is not enough salt on the island because killed players do not count. Jokes aside these things are all over the Croatian coastline so it felt weird not adding them in. Located in Z2 sector, you can find the souls of players from your favorite MOBA franchise.









But the location was not just added willy nilly it actually represents a new feature. You know that huge meat storage you got in your base after committing geno.... animal depopulation across the island? Yeah it turns out fresh meat turns bad real fast if not prepared properly, who knew?

So we added a new feature where you can salt meat to help it preserve longer! All you need is to find a little bit of salt, grab a slab of meat and just slap it. A little love tap. In reality you just need to select salt and the meat you want then a simple right click and bum salted meat!





Alright my fellow gun nuts. We heard your requests of wanting to show of your arsenal or have thee option to quickly load out when you RP being under attack. So we added the gun racks.





Just build one of these, or multiple if you want, and you can showcase your favorite weapons and keep them close by your side. You can even lock them and it will visually show a chain appear keeping your little friends safe.



  • Fixed the bug where on some locations you can hear water running even though there isn't any.
  • Fixed the bug where barbed wire traps would deal damage to players in vehicles.
  • Fixed the bug where the UI would flicker when dragging items over other items.
  • Fixed the bug where sometimes the vehicle camera would autorotate.
  • Fixed the bug where sometimes player could not sometimes rest on beds.
  • Fixed the bug where you could not force open locks with high STR stat.
  • Fixed the bug where respawn screen would not correctly show FP cost when modifier is changed.
  • Fixed the bug where it was possible to glitch the ammo count to constantly show.
  • Fixed the bug where chopping one fish would give other fish meat.
  • Fixed the bug where the 1911 fire sound would not be heard in close proximity.


  • Chopping female deer will now properly spawn doe corpse, and chopping male deer will now properly spawn buck corpse.
  • Driving a wheelbarrow no longer gives driving skill experience.
  • Puppet and prisoner arms now do melee and throwing damage.
  • Wardrobe, large log shed, small log shed and storage shelf are now repairable with toolbox.
  • Water bucket will now be crafted empty of resources.
  • Small impact projectiles no longer do damage to BB elements.
  • Updated translations for French, German, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese Simplified and Polish translations.
  • Tweaked health value on small shed, large shed, improvised wardrobe and storage shelf.


  • You can now also spawn in vehicles, puppets and animals on the location or the player that you want to.

    Arguments for those commands are next:

    • #spawnitem <name> <count> Location "<location>"
    • #spawnvehicle <name> <count> Location "<location>"
    • #spawnzombie <name> <count> Location "<location>"
    • #spawnanimal <name> <count> Location "<location>"

    Please remember if you want location spawn to work you need to put the location in quotation marks.

Big news on the International front. Not only have the people in the translators section working hard nad already delivered on in game translations, we are now launching the Community ambassadors section. You already know on our steam forums we have multi lingual section where you can write in your own native language now we have people capable to rely that information to us. They will have the mod tags so you know they are legit. but it will not only be available on Steam forums but on our official discord.

Hello everyone, we meet again! Time for another update! Something new and fixes of the old



Yep, yall kept asking "Bicycles when?", well bicycles now! Get your tracksuits and shorts ready, helmet or not and prepare to ride down the road not caring about any traffic laws and then wonder why everyone hates you!



Currently only one bicycle is available, the old classico. Very common in Croatian used ad sites, this bicycle may not be fast, or attractive, or sturdy but it will get you there!



So whether you are doing Tour de SCUM or running away from puppets, just hop on and pedal away.





You have already seen some screens about it, and now it is here. Attention all you tourists that are looking into a perfect and cheap location spot! The camping site is now set up. You are now free to set up your trailer or tent, relax, put on your socks and sandals and head to the first mountain so you can get lost and need to be rescued. By rescued we mean killed by surrounding puppets who were probably people that had the same idea at one point.
