Hello everyone, long time no see! We have another update for you and a special announcement! We also focused on a lot of long awaited issues and server optimizations so make sure you check out the bug fixes column as well! So kick back, relax and enjoy!



To start off we have a new weapon making an appearance on the island! The Vintóvka Snáyperskaya Spetsiálnaya or VSS "Vintorez" is the big older brother of the AS Val. Chambered in the same 9x39 caliber round the VSS is a more stable and accurate sibling of the two. But it also takes up more of your inventory space since the stock is not foldable. So if you are taking accurate shots, which you cannot pinpoint where from, you know that the VSS is smiling at you.





Introducing new smoke grenades, now in more colors! Use them for concealment, use them for signals, use them as distraction or use them however else you like. These are a great tool for squads, alliances or RP servers. Enjoy!





We also included an item that a lot of you have desired and asked for a very long time! New millitary holsters are in! For all you super cool tactical operator operators out there, you can now die in style!







We added a new POI to the D0 sector. New millitary barracks have been set up with tons of high end loot, yet still fitting into that wild abandoned theme.
















Now let's announce what you already read in the title: you all requested it and we are here to deliver. If you want to spend a couple of extra bucks to support the development of the game, we are now offering Supporter pack#2!

  • Let's start with the headliner, dance emotes.

    Whether you want to show off your moves in one of our VIP night clubs or add insult to injury on that satisfying kill? The new dance emotes are here to make that dream happen. Show of your moves with brand new dance emotes!





  • Ever wanted to have some music playing while you get to that next POI and decided to walk? Maybe you have some wood to gather to upgrade your base walls and want to fill that empty space with our amazing radio stations? Personal Music player is now available as software update for your personal BCU.
    Whether you enjoy the radio or, and yes it is possible, want to add your own: you are now able to have soundtrack wherever you go.

The controls for the music player are as follows:
  • J - (Play / Pause)
  • CTRL + J - (Turn on / Turn off)
  • ALT + J - (Switch bettwen radio / music player)
  • U (Shuffle) - (It can be enabled on the radio also but doesn't have any effect on it)
  • O - (Loop) (It can be enabled on the radio also but doesn't have any effect on it)
  • K - (Music player Previous song / Radio previous radio station)
  • L - (Music player Next song / Radio next radio station)
  • PAGE UP - (Turn up the volume)
  • PAGE DOWN - (Turn down the volume)

You can also control it through the TAB circular menu:



And if you want you can enable the UI for the music player in the menu so it shows you which song is playing and, in the case of the radio, which station:





To add your own music to the music player, you can do so by adding files to the C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\common\\SCUM\\SCUM\\Music folder. Only .wav and .flac typo of files are supported.



  • A popular feature that will allow all of you creative people to utilize our beautiful island for creative screenshots. Complemented with free look camera, different settings and poses. It even works in the multiplayer with your squadmates!

We know there are a lot of art freaks within our community and we cannot wait to see what you will do with this tool. Here are some of the examples what can be done:

  • Ever wanted more of the SCUM lore and background story? We are happy to provide! Presenting an idea that was bubbling and we are now comfortable to present to the world. Meet the key characters, the world, and events that lead to the current situation on the TEC01 island. Who knows maybe even meet a future NPC or two!

    The pack includes a movie script, full comic in pdf format, concept art of the outside world and wallpapers for multiple resolutions!

Hello again everyone, we got another update for you.



A small content update with a couple of bugfixes are ready so here you go:



First off lets get medieval on that ass. Introducing a couple of new items for that castle hermit roleplay.

First off we have a new helmet, inspired by that one guy. Forgot his name tho. Anyway here it is!



Use it well to either help dames in distress or burn someone's village. Find you a man who can do both.

Next up we have a new sword:



Also hiding in random castles around the island you can find this old relic, once a pinnacle of infantry combat weapons. Whoever said pen is mightier than a sword obviously never got stabbed by it.

  • You can now use improvised ropes to craft improvised fishing rod.

  • Sentries will now focus on prisoners (as long as they're visible) that they have seen leaving the guarded area instead of focusing on their last known location.
  • Fixing melee weapon on the drill press/workbench now should not take sewing kit or car repair kit as additional required items, it will only consider toolboxes.
  • Disabled gaining experience when hitting objects with melee weapons in events.
  • Drones should no longer visit players in events.
  • Drones should no longer follow player when the player is affected by teleport.
  • Added metal and carbon explosive arrows.
  • Assigned new icons for explosive arrows.
  • Renamed the RPK-74 to RPK due to it actually being RPK not RPK-74.

Hello hello, we have another small fix for you. 2 changes incoming.


  • Potential fix for the connection lost issue.


  • Added and fixed a new video setting Texture memory.

Texture memory is a bit important so listen up:

This determines how much memory your graphics card has to load in textures in higher quality so set it up accordingly.

  • Low 1 GB
  • Medium 2 GB
  • High 3 GB
  • Epic 4 GB

So if you have a lower end graphics card with let's say 2-3 GB of memory available pick the Low setting, as for mid range and higher end ones see which one works best for you accordingly.

We noticed a recent boom in our player count from all corners of planet earth and that some of our translations are outdated for these parts, or even some languages completely missing. We also had a lot of you guys messaging us, offering help with translations. Well we are now launching a new program: SCUM international.




Launching this program with goal of bringing SCUM and it's community globally we are looking for volunteers to help us with translations and community feedback.

Whether you think you have what it takes to translate text in game, patch notes or you want to help us link up with people that do not speak or write English, we are looking for your help.

Hopefully this will help us all to connect with our scummunity worldwide and open up more channels of communication.

Hello everyone! The wait is over! Stretch out your sea legs because 0.5 has finally arrived!



It has been a wild ride but we are finally here with the update, but you waited long enough so let's just get into the good stuff.

Major update regarding the island, in more ways than one. Here is what awaits you:



As you have seen before we have expanded the map with a new row and column of sectors!



To the east you will find new wild lands, filled with cold tundra and dangerous mountain terrain, starting with a river that is moving south through lush forest area with a few buildings here and there giving that authentic rural feeling. Some bunkers remain here to there from former TEC01 operations , giving you access to that sweet high tear loot.















These new sectors are named A0, B0, C0, D0 respectfully because where do you go from 1?

And then we have South. You already saw it but we have a complete new island fleshed out and ready for players to entertain the SCUM audience worldwide on. New POIs docks and much more. As for the docks, more on that later but enjoy some screenshots for now.

Brick factory

First up of the new POI you will find, we have the brick factory. A common sight across Croatia as we are used to selling bricks to each other. If you are looking for them building materials, this will be a must visit location. Or just need bricks to throw at others, that works too.







Weapons factory

Next one up is the weapons factory. Highly dangerous new military area, filled with that sweet loot. Approachable by sea or land, just be careful about the still active mechs roaming around and other snipers waiting for you to exit with "their" loot.










Small shipyard

Here is something the RP community and fishermen will appreciate. A small shipyard in the middle of nowhere.



Windmills

It would not be true Croatian coastline without them windmills. One of the tallest landmarks on the island will make sure you will be able to meet your friends or foes with little issue on the island.





And many more secrets wait for you on the island, but why spoil the surprise.

Now new terrain is not the only change we have on the island. Let me introduce the next big change.



We have completely revamped the weather system in the game. From day and night cycles, clouds and chance of rain to the night time and moon phases. It is a major overhaul, and it looks amazing if I may say so myself. Now I know what you are thinking, "Hey Dev team are you really gonna make it so just NASA computers can run this". Well worry not friends. Remember last patch how we mentioned 4.26 and how it was crucial for this one? There were a lot of optimizations for this, so the game will run smoother than it did. But without boring you with all the technical stuff let's just show you what we mean.







The weather now also influences the waves as well, more wind and worse the weather is, the bigger the waves are.






Now there were a lot of complaints about nights being too dark or too light depending on which version we are talking about. We promised we will look into it and do it properly and are now delivering on that promise. We now have simulated moon cycles. Depending on the weather and which moon cycle it is, you will now be able to see/not see more clearly at night.





We have a new island, we have a new river, so it is time for some naval means of transportation. Boats
are now available. There are different kinds of boats and we will divide them into 3 categories:

  • Motor boats.



  • Sail boats.



  • Paddle boards


By those categories it is pretty self explanatory, there are 3 different propulsion systems: Motors, sails and paddles. Let's start with the simplest one:

Motor boats

Well it's boat with a big ass motor attached to it, what more do you want? What more do you need? How they work is pretty simple. First off you will need some gas in the tank, then you need to enter the driver seat and start the engine. After that your boat goes brrrm and on your merry way you go.



And if you happen to run out of fuel in the middle of nowhere, don't worry. The boats come with side paddles. Going to take a little longer and you will be prime target for snipers, but hey you are still moving.




Paddle boards

There are 2 in the game, the found on level PDU boards and craftable small rafts. The smallest and slowest in the game, but also the stealthiest. To operate it, you will not only need to craft or find the board you will also need to find or craft a paddle. Once you have both, you just climb on and paddle away.



Sail boats

Currently we only have one, but the support is there for possibly more. The improvised big raft is one of the new boats you can craft. it is a big one that can carry more people and inventory so it will require quite a bit of materials. On first hand sailing these boats might seem simple enough but it has nuances. Wind actually does matter. That is right, don't expect you will be able to just drop the sail and go whatever direction you wish. Direct the raft against the wind and it will slow you down, or even push you backwards. You will need to actually watch the wind and sail with it to get where you need to go.





But the deep blue is not without it's dangers. Striking from the deep and just waiting for their prey, sharks now roam these waters. Sharp teeth, big fins, and swimming around humming dum dum dum dum dum, at least that's what moves showed me. So careful on the boats and don't fall off.



If you do fall off and you see one of these magnificent creatures, swim hard and swim fast. Unfortunately for you, sharks are faster. So what happens when one snatches you? Well you still have a chance. A new minigame is set up: mash that F button, but not to pay respects, but to escape free. You have a little circle that you need to keep on green for the big circle to fill. Once full you have successfully escaped the jaws, for now.






Alright survival fanatics, here is the one you've been wanting and asked for a long time. Fishy fish fishing. Lot of information here so pay close attention!

Now let's get to fishing itself.

First thing you need the necessary tools: A rod, reel, line, bait, hook and floater.

Here are all the available:













You got it? Good, now read carefully.

Once you have all of those equipped and the rod in your hands , if you enter combat mode or press left click, you will enter the first phase of fishing: casting the line. Depending how long you hold the left click, that's how far you will throw the line.



After the line has hit the waters , you will have to keep an eye out for your floater. When it goes under water, press left click to yank the line and see if anything has been hooked. If a fish has bitten then you enter the second phase of fishing : the reeling.



You will see a bar on your right side that will rise and fall as you reel and let go of your hooked fish. The fish will pull back and try to snap your line. Various fishing lines will have different strengths and you will be able to catch bigger fish. You can reel by using the scroll wheel (scroll down to reel the line closer, scroll up to release the line). You can also use the shift key to reel in faster. If you stay in the red zone for too long while trying to reel in your fish, your fishing line will snap and you will lose your line, floater, hook and bait so you will need to balance your reeling while fishing.



If you manage to reel the fish in, you will see your catch in front of you, with a little window showcasing its length, weight, and if you want to keep the fish or release it back into the water.



Keep in mind that you need different bait to capture different fish. We will let you experiment with that. A little hint, try converting the little fish into baits to catch bigger fish.





Presenting the Automatic slingshot crossbow created by the one and only Jörg Sprave. Completely craftable this thing will make you one of the most feared people on the island. Especially once you load it with one of these:



For all of you that wanted to RP Rambo we added explosive arrows and explosive bolts. Load it in, fire, wait for the beeping to stop, KABOOOM. We also added another new type of arrow and bolt to spread love on the island, but I'm not adding that here.



As for audio changes, along all of the new sounds for the features implemented, we have another nifty little feature.

You can now hear the direction the wind blows.

New Jack City

Two Servers dedicated to the players. Looking for a real adventure.
Whether it’s on an official like server or maximum action PVP setting.

NEW JACK CITY - VANILLA -US EAST provides an Official Like experience with active and experienced admins. All are encouraged to come play and get their New Jack Hustle on. All the settings are the same as an official server. Play the game it was meant to be played with an admin staff watching out for true scum (cheats and hacks).

NEW JACK CITY MAX provides an action packed and loot filled experience without the distractions of MECHS, MINES, and PLAYER MADE BASES (all those are turned off). What is turned on is loot and loot drops and the puppet hordes....We took the base game to the MAX on NEW JACK CITY MAX.





PK condemned island



PK initially brought Pathfinder back to SCUM , then Pathfinder reached out and invited PK to create a server within his community. Path-House-Condemned started 7 months ago, during this time we have been finding ways to build a unique server to offer our community some "purpose" during the development of the game, integrating QOL features within Discord and the server. We have Automated systems married with the organic interaction between players on the server, allowing players to complete Missions & Quests, hand in their hard earned bucks -efficiently, which are wipe protected and they are stored in our Trade Network in Discord, for you to complete player to player trade with. The Core of the server promotes survival and it offers many challenges for New and Veteran Prisoners a like, with a Boot camp with tutorials courtesy of Alistarz. Players here choose how they play, We just set the stage and all server features are Strictly optional. The servers actual debut will be at 0.5. The servers Season 2: Insurgence -'New Dawn' and will be under a NEW name: PK's -Condemned due to the sad departure of Pathfinder plays. Hey everyone, welcome back to another hotfix, we heard some of you are experiencing crashes so we got you covered.


  • Fixed the crash related to character creation.
  • Fixed the crash related to placing down blueprints.

We would also like to inform you that this will be the last update before 0.5. We are going all hands on deck from now on until we have it in release state, so we can bring it to you in best state possible. When this will be we cannot say for certain yet, but you have been informed.

Hey hey, people. Time for another regular update! Not 0.5 yet but an important step towards it. Find out more below!




With this update we have transitioned from 4.25 to 4.26.

Now what does this mean? Well a lot of things in the future and a major step towards 0.5. One might say the biggest step. It allows us much needed support for the features planned for 0.5. The transition tho might not be as easy as we see it or is expected. Or better yet some issues and problems are expected right now but better to get them away now rather than have them in 0.5.

So please any and all issues you may encounter in this patch, no matter how small or big please report them to us so we can improve the experience for everyone!

Even though we know yall managed to make your own "improvised metal/mine detectors", here are some actual legit ones.
Heading to a well known POI and don't want to die from mines? Pop out the metal detector.
You have a suspicion that some sneaky nemesis buried his loot in the area? Pop out the metal detector.
You want to roleplay that weird old guy at the beach looking for treasure? Pop out the metal detector.
Want to find remnants of aliens so you can bother everyone on social media? Pop out the metal detector.

So how does it work ingame?

First off we have 2 of them as the picture shows, military and improvised. So here is the difference between them.

  • Improvised cannot be repaired while Military can be with Electrician toolkit.
  • Military has bigger range than improvised.
  • Military holds bigger battery than improvised.

To craft an improvised metal detector, in addition to items required you will also need at least medium engineering skill.

Now, as for the mechanic itself it's pretty simple. You will need to have the detector in your hands and some battery charge. Then simply press TAB and right click it for the Turn on option.



Your character will start sweeping the ground looking for any metal. Proper metal not that pozer stuff the mainstream listens to, but that hardcore band you found one night drunk at 3am on youtube.



You will hear beeping sound and closer you are to a find the more frequent will beeping be. It is that simple.





Alright hoarders your time to shine now. Presenting further lock protection!

Got tired of the same old zappers and want some spice in that zap? We got you.

There are now 3 different zappers:
  • Level 1- Basic
  • Level 2 - Medium
  • Level 3 - Advanced

For each zapper you need the appropriate engineering skill. So basic for basic, medium for medium and advanced for advanced.
Appropriately they each do different damage:
  • Level 1- 0.5 per fail.
  • Level 2 - 1 per fail.
  • Level 3 - 1.5 per fail.
Now you see the previous change of separating slots was actually planned, shocking I know!



Or better to say one sign. Yo want to tell people you mean business about protecting your base? Or you could just place it on empty field to troll others. A new sign got you covered:




  • Fixed the bug where it was possible to build some floating elements.
  • Fixed a possible ammo duplication bug.
  • Fixed the bug where the game would reset your settings on restart.
  • Fixed the bug where some parts of scope reticles could become invisible.
  • Fixed the bug where flare sound would hang after player would get shot by it.
  • Fixed the bug where it was possible to melee autolock on players behind cover (walls etc.).
  • Fixed the bug where lock breaking would not give Thievery XP.
  • Fixed the bug where Sentry audio would hang.
  • Fixed the bug where some placed items could not be destroyed.
  • Fixed the bug where killbox drops would give incorrect loot.
  • Fixed the bug where puppet growl sounds would sometimes hang.
  • Fixed the bug where admin drone would become a fidget spinner when slowing down.
  • Fixed the bug where you could get stuck when opening the map and searching the container.
  • Fixed the bug where arrows and bolts shot in events could be used after the event.
  • Multiple level fixes.
  • Fixed the bug where C4 was still visible after detonation.
  • Fixed the bug where you could build window fortifications outside of windows.


  • Squad rank lock accessibility now available for doors as well.
  • You can now adjust light level on lanterns.
  • You can now drink soy sauce if you want.
  • You can no longer bury items in H barriers.
  • Item attachments will now take damage if the item takes damage.
  • Added an option to map ADS hold/toggle.
  • Remapped scope zoom to mousewheel due to feature above.
  • Chests are no longer damaged by melee or explosives.
  • Mines now decay after 10 days when inside friendly flag area.
  • Mines now decay faster when outside friendly flag area.
  • Mines now activate on anyone when outside friendly flag area.


  • Player names are now hidden when drone HUD is disabled.
  • Admins can now spawn small animals.
  • Server owners can now choose to disable lethal traps/mines on the server.

A new command is added:
#renameVehicle <idOrAlias> <Alias>

First argument is the ID (or alias if it has one) of the vehicle. The other argument is the new alias of the vehicle. Alias is case insensitive and it cannot be a number.

Command #destroyVehicle <idOrAlias> can be used with ID or alias.

Command #listSpawnedVehicles will now also display the alias of the vehicle if it has one as the last column.

Command #teleportToVehicle <idOrAlias> <player> can be used with ID or alias.
