So this update might not be the most interesting but is very important. Many of the bugs present before this update are now gone and the game has also been rebalanced to reflect the difficulty on each level. This update is in preparation for the new multiplayer system...

Yes another new level! This time however, it's Insane difficulty... Sneak Thief is also now in version 0.98 (including major performance improvements and bug fixes). This new version also features the new weapons specifically the MP5K and the M4A1 so if you wanted an easy way to try them, here you are! :D
Please also remember to report any bugs you run into so I can fix them as soon as possible! There has also been a slight adjustment to the main menu (to fit all of the levels lol) please let me know what you guys think of it!

Sneak Thief - Rippo
This update addresses the long standing issue of performance in the game. The main reason for this and why it's so CPU intensive is because of the AI player detection algorithim which uses way too many resources then it should. I have since updated this algorithim and performance has drastically increased in some levels. Levels with unique AI (such as the neigborhood) will recive this performance increase in the next update (Version 0.98) as for those the algorthim still needs to be tailored for those situtations as well as other parts to the game that use the algorithim.

The AI is very new, I've done quite a bit of debugging however please report bugs as soons as you see them so I can address them asap.

Sneak Thief - Rippo
Sneak thief has now entered version 0.97, meaning we are just that much closer to exiting early access for single player. This update includes brand new weapons and brand new weapon mechanics. One of the major changes to the firing system is that when you shoot the weapon kick will now effect accuracy, essentially meaning once you shoot and your weapon moves up so will your shots. So if accuracy is important you no longer will be able to rapidly fire your AK47 and not have to account for kick. So as you shoot, your bullets will travel higher, so instead of shooting rapidly if you have to be accurate you should now shoot slower or single shots.
ADS is still a WIP, as this new system is a universal solution to make it easier to add new weapons this portion is difficult and will come in a later update. You can still zoom in however and increase accuracy.

Sneak Thief - Rippo
Requests for a new smaller, easier level have been plentiful so I spent this week and developed a new one called; The Farm. Procceding the data center. This update isn't that big because it has not been very long since the last update however there have been new fixes for the data center level, general bug fixes across all maps, and a freezing issue has been addressed.

There have been some issue with the launch of the new level, the data center, most of the reason for this is the entire level which had been made in one of the early iterations of sneak thief had to be completly converted over to the new version so bugs arised very easily. Fortunately because of you guys I was able to find these bugs and fix the very fast! The level should now be completely playable, some issues still persist but all puzzles are now able to be completed. Have fun and please continue to report bugs!

Thats right a brand new level has been added to sneak thief! This is coming out before the next improvement to the level editor because I found one of my favorite levels in this game while getting ready to update the project and unity. It was originally scraped due to performance issues however I'm a much better developer then I was a year ago lmao so I removed the old AI system it was using and replaced it with an updated version, added the updated player, got rid of scripts using alot of power, optimized the physics and 3D rendering, and updated the general content of the Level. (This all took a lot more time then it sounds like, the level is big and I made alot of mistakes when originally making this level) It's one of my favorites its a big level with lots of puzzles and tons of ways to beat it and it can be a real challenge so have fun everyone!

- Small bug fixes within the LVL Editor
- Optimization on most levels
- New puzzle systems being tested in "The Data Center"
- General Bug Fixes

Hey everybody! It's finally here! The new level editor! Level publishing has also been added, meaning you can now publish and download user created levels! Keep in mind this revamp was done to make the level editor more clean and easier to use, however not all features are in, some bugs are present, and not all items or level editor tools have been added. A new update will be out later this week to address some of the major issues and lacking features, but the base is out now for those who want to take part in designing or playing levels. AI navigation is also not fully functional at this time, in user created levels, as the unity version of this game needs to be updated to add runtime navmesh baking. This will come out with the update later this week. This wasn't done before the update because a 50gb project has to be backed up then updated from unity 5.4 to unity 2017 (this takes a while to do thats why we usually don't update unity versions and why we are still on unity 5).

Not many levels will be avalible in the community levels section until levels are submitted, all levels submitted today and tomorrow should be published within a few hours and will also have their errors fixed so if you don't know how to properly use the level editor your errors will be fixed for you! (since the video tutorial is not out yet and neither are the ease of use features)

A video tutorial will be out to show how to use the level editor properly by this weekend!

The base goal is to have sneak thief out of early access by late July.
This week the new level editor will get its nescceary features added to be 100% functional and usable. Afterwards the primary goal will be to finish all currently published levels in sneak thief, including finishing all optimization, fixing all bugs and AI. After that 2 new levels will be added, multiplayer will then recive 2 maps from single player and will get an overhaul. Sneak Thief will then leave early access *Note this does not mean sneak thief will loose support, it means its at the stage where I can comfortably claim it's fully released. Free singleplayer and multiplayer levels will be added periodically, bugs that arise will also be fixed.

Sneak Thief VR will also be tested soon on the house level, if recived well, 5 levels will recive their own VR support otherwise sneak thief VR will not be implemented into the game as it is only something just now being experimented with.

Next week a new level editor will be released this particular level editor will be easier to use then the previous and will allow for easy level sharing. The goal is to make it robust for advanced users while still easy so any one can make a level. The UI will also get much needed improvement. The game will also contain a publish feature which will automatically publish your level to the games data base and will allow you to download other user made levels in game.
