To access the beta right click on the game in the library and press properties, then navigate to the beta tab and select "public_beta" in the dropdown. You may have to restart steam if the game does not start downloading the beta.

Patch notes:
  • Fixed issues where downloaded content would not show up in the campaigns list
  • Added tabs for different type of content in the campaigns menu
  • Added icons for different type of content in the workshop browser
  • Loading downloaded battles in sandbox mode now displays the correct image

The Battle and Campaign creator beta just went live!


Please restart steam and then right click the game in your library and choose: Properties - Betas - Public_Beta (no code needed)

Create your own battles in the sandbox!


Save the battle, set a budget and upload it to the workshop!


You can also use your battles to create and share your own campaign.


Download other's campaigns and battles under the workshop tab in the main menu.


We accidentally added a test-unit for the cavalry, it's not meant to be a unit but we will make a similar one for anyone who uses it in their campaign/level that will be added in the full update. The real Cavalry unit will come in a future update but not the next one!

Hello everyone! We know you’re excited for the next update but unfortunately, we’ve been having some issues with our engine that have made it impossible for us to deliver the 0.4 update up to the same standards as we want to in June.

Therefore we’re not going live with the update this week BUT we are going to open up the Battle and Campaign creator on a beta branch for everyone early next week with the hope of doing the full update soon.

Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't use special abilities in campaign mode
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't target enemy units in the campaign
  • Cheerleader now targets units correctly
  • Possibly fixed a random crash bug
Changes:
  • Camera now rotates when you enter a unit.
Balance:
  • Slightly increased the damage of the brawler’s ax

  • Might have fixed the crash on exit bug
Changes:
  • Added some missing pieces to the armor of the knight
  • Added a projectile block to the Shogun
Balance:
  • Slightly increased the size of the hoplite shield
  • Slightly increased the cost of the King
  • Decreased the health of the Shogun
  • Increased the time between dodges for the Sensei
  • Decreased the health of the Sensei
Unit possession:
You can control units by looking at them and pressing F - holding F makes it easier to choose which unit, just let go when you've marked the one you want to possess.

Control the unit by walking/running/driving with the WASD keys, use attacks with LMB and RMB (mouse clicks) and do special moves with space. All units don't have attacks or special moves so it varies from unit to unit. Use C to switch between first and third person view.

Remember, you're possessing the unit - this means will be just as bad (and probably worse) as the unit usually is!

Make sure to restart steam and verify the integrity of the game files.

  • Increased the hp of the halfling
  • Decreased the cost of the halfling from 60 to 50

  • Increased archer reload time from 7 to 8 seconds
  • Increased Artemis price to 5500
  • Decreased the number of arrows per Artemis attack
  • Increased Artemis spread

Happy Easter! (to those of you who celebrate) we have a patch with fixes to kick off the weekend, there are also some secrets in there for you to find! :D

Features:
  • Added 3 secret units. Find their weapons to unlock them
  • Added an in game roadmap
  • Added option to mute sound when application is in background
  • Added option to control the amount of screen shake
  • Added option to hide clothes from units
  • Added option to hide eyes from units
  • Added tooltip to faction buttons in placement
  • The UI now displays the amount of units placed
Changes:
  • Added a trail to most fast moving projectiles to make them easier to see.
  • Trained the Sarissa in the arts of walking backwards
  • Minotaurs now always charge their target. Not only as a response to taking damage
  • Removed Defend the temple from the adventure campaign

Balance:
  • Increased the damage and health of Zeus
  • Increased the attack speed of Zeus
  • Reduced the radius of the catapult explosion
  • Increased the reload time of the catapult
  • Increased the damage of pitchforks
  • Increased the health of pitchforks
  • Slightly increased the health of the harvester
  • Increased the throw strength of stoner
  • Increased the damage of the stoner
  • Increased the rate of throw of the potion seller
  • Slightly increased archer fire rate
  • Slightly decreased the amount healed by the priest

  • Haybalers are now knocked back by projectiles. They still take no damage

Features:
  • Added options to switch sides of blue/red
Changes:
  • Slightly improved aiming of regular archers and spear throwers
  • Snakes and crows are no longer counted as being part of your team when checking the win condition.
Balance:
  • Slightly increased the damage of the harvester's scythe
  • Slightly increased the collider size of the hoplite's shield
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed issue where multiple priest would make the healed unit flicker yellow
