Hello Officers,

Here's the first update for the 1.0 version of the game! You can find multiple balance changes, UI/UX improvements and bugs and crash fixes. Thanks for sending us the suggestions and the crash reports as they help us to take the necessary steps to improve the overall 'Eximius' experience. Some suggestions might take more time to implement due to the complexity or priority.

Next, we'll be working on adding more content and improvement to the games. We'll in the final stages of preparing the localisation. For the 1st round, we'll be supporting Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and German. We're looking into supporting other languages if we see that there's a demand for it.

Many credits to the community who reported, assisted and discussed the issues with us.

Gameplay Changes
- Support Crawler will now resupply weapons
- Templar can now be blinded by Flashbangs
- Phantom/Recon Drones are now limited to 3 at a single time. Deployment now cost 1,200 Credits and 600 Supplies
- Priority Attack will no longer interrupt Latent Commands
- Sigma Tank will no longer lose charged shot after being issued a Priority Attack Command
- Vehicles will now try to avoid Weapon Crew but may still run them down when there's no other available path
- Adjusted hitboxes for Assault Vanguard, Siege Vanguard, Ace Vanguard and Berserker
- Removed Reserve Munition Upgrade from Infantry Division due to no applicable units
- Removed Crawler Cargo Improvement from Robotics Division due to no applicable units

Assault Vanguard Changes
- Smite (Passive Ability) no longer gives speed bonus
- Smite now flinch self for 1.3 seconds when hitting a player, up from 0.5 seconds. This gives players only 0.2 seconds bonus time to shoot after knocking down another player.

Exploit Vanguard Changes
- Passive Ability radius recuded to 20M from 50M

Ace Vanguard Changes
- Ace Vanguard Eagle Strike Knockdown time on enemy Officers is reduced to 1.5 seconds from 2.3 seconds

Balance Changes
- Templar pop usage increased to 9 from 6
- Ironguard Core pop usage is dropped to 7 from 8
- Service Ironguard pop usage reduced to 7 from 12
- Omicron Sonic damage reduced to 150 from 600
- Omicron Sonic splash radius reduced to 550 from 750
- Bio Injector effects will no longer stack, instead it will refresh the duration
- GSF Shotgun spread is slightly tighter
- GSF Shotgun damage reduced to 45 from 55 per pellet
- GSF Shotgun range cap increased to 50M from 40M
- GSF Shotgun Incendiary range increased to 30M from 28M
- AXR XM13 Spec-Ops cooldown between burst dropped to 0.3 from 0.4

Level Changes
- Fixed players not being able to complete "EMP the Tank" Achievement when using Gauntlet CPC on Enemy Tank
- Fixed Enemy Tank sometimes not being able to reach destination
- Patched a hole in Crossing
- Starting Weapon Credits are increased to 2,500 from 2,000 in Tank Challenge
- Improved Grunt AI accessibiility at Strip Mall area in Crossing

Keybinding
- Improved Keybinding and Handling of Duplicated Key
- Removed duplicated binded keys
- Fixed Assigning Axis-based keys such as Movement (E.g Move Forward) causing one of the Axis Scale to not Function
- Fixed Right Mouse Button and Ctrl keys not being abled to be binded successfully due to keys being used for debugging functions

UI/UX
- "Our Forefathers..." no longer plays at startup, instead will only play one time after loading the Main Menu.
- Added option to skip the Cinematic Intro as well. Players can rewatch by clicking on Play Intro at the Main Menu Side Option.
- Added Waiting Screen for Spectators while waiting for teams to start the game
- Added Difficulty Indicator in Spectator Scoreboard for Team Skirmish and PVE
- Added Spectator Waiting in Lobby Screen
- Style update for Main Menu and Server Selection Pop Up
- Updated in-game Quick Guide. Can be accessed in-game by pressing Esc key and clicking on Help-Tips
- Updated Elite Marine RTS Icon
- Players can now choose Officer and immediately move to the next stage of the Setup Lobby in Offline Team Skirmish. Previously, players will need to either choose Commander or wait for the timer to tick down.
- Players can now use the 'ESC' key to close the Battlesuit Selection Screen, Scoreboard and Armory/MULE Menu

Custom Lobby
- Upon entering the Custom Lobby, Players are automatically moved and Auto Balanced into teams slots
- Made available empty slots more visible to players

- Players can now kick other players in PVP Custom Game (please don't abuse, thanks)

Cosmetics
- Added 5 new Cosmetic Pack for AXR and GSF
- Added actual Callsign Name to Tooltip when players hover over the Callsign when previewing the Cosmetic Pack
- Fixed minor Colour Error on GSF Swamp King Tier 3 Skin

Fixes
- Players are now less likely to get stuck after they transform into Battlesuit. This is caused by players failing to spawn due to an obstruction. We do not have a 100% fix for this yet. There are still some fringe cases where players can get stuck still. We will continue to work on this.
- Vehicles are now less likely to 'fly' in the air.
- Fixed multiple crashes on the Server Side
- Fixed crash related to AI checking for Stealth
- Fixed Startup Crash related to opening Cinematic. Previously player will crash when the game cannot detect the MP4 video files. We added a .webm version as a fallback. If crash persists, player can remove the movie folders in
_Steam_steamapps_common_Eximius_ProjectCombine_Content_Movies as a possible temporary solution and send us the crash logs.
- Fixed G12 and Sigma Projectiles having bullet drop

- Improved lighting in Main Menu. Character and Skin colours should appear more accurately now
- Reduced squash box size of GSF Vehicle Carrier Box to lower chances of units underneath it getting squashed when calling in Reinforcement
- Players should are now able to run the game when Steam Offline Mode is activated
- Disabled OculusVR Plugin. Players who are playing through Oculus HMD should not be forced into VR Mode now.

Greetings officer,

As part of our first update, we will dropping 10 more Skin packs; 5 per faction.
Similar with the rest of the existing pack. each pack will contain a range of cosmetic items such as 3 skin tiers, callsigns, player frame and banners.


This update will come together with fixes on the current reported issues.
Many of these were reported by community and the fixes were the result of our collaboration with you great people.




The update will come sometime this week or next once QA is satisfied.

We have identified a serious issue in regards to being unable to start the game due to lobby owner clicking start match multiple times at a certain timing. This caused the game to be unable to start.

A hotfix on the backend has been applied to deal with this. We apologize for inconvenience of this happening. We will continue to keep our ears on the ground for issues like this.

A larger update will be coming sometime next week to deal with the other issue.

Hello Officers,

We hope that you had a great time with Eximius so far. We been monitoring the game over the last few hours and we identified a few issues that we plan to fix as soon as possible.

Day 1 Known Issues
  1. Crashes related to Tutorial and Challenges
  2. Matchmaking
  3. Unfinalised Localisation
Crashes related to Tutorial and Challenges
This issue is top on our to-fix priority. We received multiple reports from players saying that they are encountering crashes when they enter the Challenge Dome or when they complete a challenge. This issue is more complicated than what we expected and we'll be contacting Epic Games (we are using Unreal Engine) directly to figure out a fix.

Matchmaking
Currently, the match up between players is less than ideal. While many games were created, most of them were from Custom Games. We decided to take down matchmaking to adjust the matchmaking algorithm. For now, please create games through Custom Games or join ongoing matches with the Server Browser.

Unfinalised Localisation
Players with RU, CN, and DE locale may notice that their game is partially translated to their language. This is an unintentional localisation addition. The translations are still being finalised and pending review so they do not reflect the final quality that we intended. For players who would like to switch back to English, please follow the guide below. At the Culture setting simply change from ru to en.



Once we have a solid fix for the crashes, we intend to roll it out as soon as possible.
You will soon receive a hotfix that addresses the unfinished localisation, matchmaking changes and a possible fix to stop the game from running in VR Mode for players using VR Kits.

The time has come, the battle is here, we are proud to announce the Eximius: Seize the Frontline 1.0 is now officially released.

So grab your equipment and put on your battlesuits, cause its time to Seize the Frontline.

Our first planned update will drop in a few days time. We'll be adding localisation support for Russian, Chinese (Simplified) and German and the usual bug fixes.

We're few hours away from 1.0 Launch.

In this round of showcase, we will be presenting the customization and cosmetic system that is newly implemented. This will serve as part of player progressions. Unlock skin packs with in-game currency and level them up when playing and completing online matches. As you level up the pack tiers, more cosmetic items will be available such as callsigns, banner, and frames. The skin itself will also increase in complexity. You can also buy your way through these tiers with in-game currency.



These are some notes on how the cosmetic items work :
  • Skin packs :
[/b] Individual cosmetic pack , unique to each faction. Can only be unlocked with in-game currency. After unlocking, it can be upgraded up to 8 times. Each upgrade will provide an additional item. Skin packs can be upgraded as you win matches with the equipped skin or by fast-leveling them with in-game currency known as 'Credits'
  • Credits :
  • [/b] Credits can be earned when you level your rank. It is used to purchase new skin packs and to fast-level them.
  • Player Skins:
  • [/b] These replaces the texture material on the character, each pack contain up to 3 tier. At the highest tier, your assigned squad members will also receive the skins, allowing you to have a full squad with the skin.
  • Player Frames :
  • [/b] These are the frames that display your callsign in-game. Like the skins, they also have tiers that can be unlocked.
  • Team Banners :
  • [/b] These are commander selected only cosmetic. By choosing a banner, your base and surrounding areas will be decorated with these banner. Show the enemy who is in town.
  • Callsigns :
  • [/b] Your player character will be identified as these callsigns in-game. They are unique to per-faction and is one of the item unlocked in the skin packs. These callsign will also have an individual representation on the minimap. Unlike the Early Access version, callsigns can now have customized frames , hence you can mix and match them.
  • Rank :
  • [/b] Represent your rank this season. As you play more matches, you will rank up. Each game earns you experience(XP). Victory gives you higher XP than loses. As you rank up, you gain Credit. Rank will be reset each season but not your stats.

    For today's countdown we'll be looking at the next content update. On top of having new maps. All the current PVP / PVE map has gone through remastering. Lighting, shading , foliage and assets has been remastered and optimized. Many of the Early Access art model has been replaced. This includes gameplay assets.

    The entire GSF faction has also received completely redesigned and remodeled infantry characters. Some of the older characters has been remodeled for better details. This also include weapons as well. Take a look at some of it.

    We've showed GSF Faction Division yesterday, so today of course is AXR's turn!. Utilize on either the Robotic Division, Energy Division, and even Stealth Division to turn the battle to your favor!



    ROBOTICS
    Axeron's Robotic Division places emphasis on the utilization of robotic infantries. This division has the best of available Iron Guards and it's supporting technologies. Improvements to its industrial capability also increases it's production capacity to allow highly efficient deployment of Iron Guards.



    ENERGY
    Energy Division of Axeron Industries brings together efficient power manipulation capability and superior ingenuity. Their technology allows them to focus their firepower in a highly precise manner. Commanders of this division usually favor energy-based weapon rather than explosive ordnance.



    STEALTH
    Stealth Division's main strength lies in the disruption and deception of enemy forces and commander. Capable of dropping Phantom Drone which cloaks units in target area, and even firing hologram army to divert attention. The Stealth Division forces the enemy to doubt their own eye and judgement.
