Eximius: Seize the Frontline - calvin.khan
Greetings officers,

Here's a quick announcement on the new Weapon Credits System that will be introduced into the game very soon.

Weapon Credits are a separate resource from the existing pool (Money, Energy and Ammo) and will be used by officers to purchase weapons and upgrades from the Armory/MULE. With the introduction of Weapon Credits, both FPS players and RTS players will have more freedom is choosing how to play in their own style without restricting each other.

The new Weapon Credits is represented with a gun icon and cash symbol.

Each officer will have their own pool of weapon credits, so feel free to go on a shopping spree. You won't be denying your friends from getting what they need.

Weapon Credits will generate over time, similar to the other resources. To generate credits faster, officers will need to capture and hold resource points. The more resource points you control, the more credits you'll get per second. This is ONLY with resource points, Victory Points do not count.

There is a limit however, each officer can only hold up to 2000 Weapon Credits. In keeping the game balanced, lower tier weapons and upgrades are priced appropriately for quick access, and higher tiered ones will be more expensive. So waiting to buy an expensive gun right away, may not be the best idea as the enemy can overwhelm you really quickly with cheaper guns.

Bear in mind that this feature is still in it's final testing phase, so expect some changes to happen as we get closer to it's public release and throughout it's use. We welcome both new players and veterans to give this a try and let us know what you think in our Discord channel:

A huge thank you to everyone who came to try out our game at Digital N8tion 2019 in Kuala Lumpur last weekend!

The amount of positive responses we got was really uplifting for the whole team and all the constructive feedback we gathered will prove to be invaluable in the future of our game's development. We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to meet us and to try out our game.

Zhafri (Lead Artist) guiding two new recruits to the GSF & Axeron factions

On top of that we also organized a friendly open tournament with a total cash prize pool of RM1000 (USD 250) up for grabs. We were approached by local eSports team, Team Rimau who play Rainbow 6 professionally for a spot, along with Team Infinite Carnage (local fighting game community) & the Taylor's University Varsity Team (Meme Council).

Team Rimau trying out Eximius: Seize the Frontline

A total of three matches were held to decide 1st and 2nd place winners, and each match up was an exciting and illuminating affair. Team Rimau proved their dominance with very strong FPS play taking down numerous units and enemy officers. Team Infinite Carnage took a bit of time to get a handle of the game, but came back fighting in high spirits earning themselves 2nd place. 1st place went to Meme Council with their very fast paced strategy of zone control using GSF's Point Defenses and well prepared officers.

Meme Council with their 1st place prize of RM750

Team Infinite Carnage with their 2nd place prize of RM250

The whole event was a resounding success. Response to our game was very well received and the amount of feedback from the professional teams and audience members showed very positive interest to see our game grow bigger. We aim to continue our development of Eximius: Seize the Frontline with the feedback in mind and also to participate in more events as we make our way to a full release.

To all our players, new and seasoned, we thank you for your support and hope you continue to have fun playing our game. :)

Patch 0.51.3 is now live.

0.51.2 is now live. Just in time for first PVP Fest in Feb 2019

As development for Q1 Roadmap 2019 is in progress. This will be the final patch before we migrate to Unreal Engine 4.21 to fix some performance issues a longstanding MarkWalkableTriangle bug that is happening on singleplayer skirmish.

As part of this patch's highlight:

  • We're glad to announce that we're moving to a more solid animation rig. The phase 1 animation development is complete, as a result characters now each have custom third person animation. Pistol no longer have floating arms. However, due to moving to this new rig , certain animation are now misaligned and will need some correction that will be pushed shortly. For now bear with us as some feet will float a little.
  • A big balance changes specifically targeting a very common turret-rush meta have been addressed. While it is still possible to play turret offensively , both faction now require Barracks / Fabricator to start building turret.
  • A longstanding bug that causes your squad to retreat when you enter into battlesuit equipping phase has also been addressed.

0.51.2 Official Changelog

- RTS buttons tooltip are now clearer.
- GSF / AXR command centre now locks newly trained AI selection for 3 seconds.
- Animation Revamp Phase 1 : Units now have individual weapon animations for third person
- GSF Field support will not continue to heal units even after being assigned.

BALANCE CHANGES :
- GSF Ecchelon Crew now requires Supply Centre to be built
- GSF Echelon Crew price down to 2200 / 300 from 2800 / 800
- GSF & AXR turret now requires barracks and fabricator respectively.
- GSF & AXR Turrets now consume 3 energy instead of 2
- GSF Powerplant enhancement now cost 600 instead of 300 and upgrade time is 8 seconds instead of 5.
- Rook autocannon damage reduced from 300 to 180
- Rook autocannon splash increase from 150 to 250
- Phalanx MG is now more accurate

Fixes :
