Battlerite - sls_Liz


Battlerite Arena Patch 2.0.3 will contain the traditional Spring event, the return of the Egg Brawl, and new cosmetics. This patch is scheduled it go live on Wednesday, April 17th at 8:00 AM UTC. Downtime is scheduled to last one hour.

The seasons are turning and the snow is melting - it's Spring in Battlerite!



The Egg Brawl Returns!

Magical Eggs have been hidden within the Arena, find them with your teammates and throw them at your enemies - the infamous Egg Brawl is back! This year Bakko has a challenger in Raigon - try out both and jump into the egg-slinging fun, discovering what all of the colored eggs do. The old Battlerite system (choosing one per round) has returned for this mode. For those who were here last year, a couple of changes have been made to update the brawl:
  • All maps and their Day/Night variants are included in the map pool
  • Armory and Overload are both disabled for Egg Brawl
  • Purple Egg always panics enemies directly away from you, rather than picking a random direction
  • Egg behavior when bouncing off walls has been made more consistent

Spring Outfits Return

Chicken Suit Bakko and the Roosters from last year are back, and this time can be purchased individually with Tokens or Gems. The Chicken Suit Outfit and it's color variations can be purchased for 500 Gems or 12,000 Tokens each, and the Golden Rooster and it's color variations can be purchased for 650 Gems or 20,000 Tokens.

Chicken Emote

If you're eggcited to get clucking during Spring, the Chicken Emote is here for you! For a limited time the Chicken Emote is purchasable for 1400 Gems, unlocked on all Champions and complete with sound effects and music, so that you can out-dance and out-swag all your opponents. This bundle is available only until May 1st.

Spring Quests

Quest for new Egg Mounts in both Battlerite Arena and Battlerite Royale! Collect all of the limited-time mounts by completing Event Quests in both Battlerite and Battlerite Royale. Check out the Battlerite Royale Patch Notes to see what eggs you can unlock there!

    • Reward: Free-Range Egg Epic Mount

Bringer of Spring Bundle

Who makes the flowers bloom after winter? It's the Bringer of Spring, of course! For a limited time, the Bringer of Spring Bundle is available to purchase for 400 Gems in game. This bundle contains the Bringer of Spring Legendary Outfit and Staff of Spring Epic Weapon for Blossom, and is purchasable until May 1st.

And More on the Horizon...

A mysterious new bunny appears, available for a limited time at the low price of 750 Gems. This bundle will be revealed (and available) April 24th, and be purchasable until May 1st - but you might have a clue at who's hopping in next!

  • Fixed an alignment error where the name of an item dropped in a chest was overflowing the background.
  • Fixed a bug where the "You have unsigned sponsors" prompt would be triggered when no sponsor were available.
  • Fixed a bug where some cosmetic items that are currently unavailable was included in the Owned Items / Total Items count in various areas in the UI.

  • Holy Flame no longer dispels buffs on self
  • Alysia's Ice Lance (M2) now correctly applies bonus damage when Chilled if both Cryogenic Lance and Piercing Cold rites are taken

Report Feedback Notification

A notification will now be displayed on login when action has been taken against a player that you have recently reported for misconduct! This notification will appear once when you log in if applicable, so y'all good fellas reporting naughty gremlins will not be spammed with notifications.

UI
  • Daily quest notifications should now properly trigger upon login.
  • Fixed an issue where achievements related to Champion Levels did not progress correctly.
  • Season quests tab will now jump directly to current week when entered
Audio
  • Black Steed mount has received the proper sprint sound
  • "Yo" phrase removed from Jamila's wave emote
  • Fixed a bug that played the voice-over off-screen in MVP screen on certain maps
  • Fixed a bug the stopped music playing during match
Gameplay Updates

Bugfixes
  • Cooldowns now all reset correctly at the start of the round.
Dynamic Map Objects

So many Explosive Barrels were detonated in the Arena that we ran out of barrels for the foreseeable future. If new dynamic map objects return, we intend to release them on maps they are designed for.
  • Explosive Barrels removed from Blackstone Arena (Day & Night) and Meriko Summit (Day & Night).
Armory

We've continued to refine the Armory and shape it in the direction that fits Arena best. Elements that contributed to a chaotic feel have been removed, and many items have been changed. Explosive Barrels have run out for Armory as well.

Equipment
  • Timestone Pendant removed from Armory
  • Champion's Blade removed from Armory
  • Teldo's Quickblade
    • No longer grants bonus damage or Fading Snare
    • Now inflicts a 20% Snare on the target that lasts 2s
    • Now grants a 20% haste to self that lasts 2s
    • A new VFX has been added to indicate how much time is remaining until the effect may be triggered
  • Crown of Power
    • No longer increases damage to self for Champions who deal self-damage
    • Additional damage and healing from shield increased from 12% to 15%
    • Damage and healing is no longer increased by 3%
  • Void Reaper
    • Healing reduction debuff duration increased from 2s to 3s
  • Ahmrilas Ward (Reworked)
    • No longer increases health and energy received from Health and Energy shards.
    • No longer increases healing received by 10%.
    • Allies receive 50% of the benefit you do when you pick up Health or Energy shards.
    • Any excess healing you receive is transferred to your nearest ally.
  • New Equipment - Aegis of Symphony
    • Your allies with 50% or less of your current health take 20% reduced damage
Consumables
  • Explosive Barrel removed from Armory
  • Runic Shield
    • Rarity increased from Common to Rare
    • Number of uses reduced from 3 to 2
  • Chronometer
    • Haste increased from 40% to 60%
    • Can now be cast without dismounting
Overload
Overload was released in a big, splashy experimental state to ensure that it made an impact on Arena rounds. Overload was designed to increase skillful play on both sides in situations where one team is down a player, rather than allowing the game to get into a stale state. In certain situations, Overload is perfect for remedying this problem. In other situations, Overload is overly effective and puts too much emphasis on the game state after a player has died. We want to scale this back to make sure that the portion of the game before a player dies is always vital in all matches.

While we're adjusting Overload now, we're simultaneously looking into other combinations of methods to address those stale game situations. If Overload can't be adjusted to a less polarizing state, then it's on the table to disable Overload in Arena until we can re-evaluate this kind of mechanic. We'll also be adding the option to toggle Overload in Private Lobbies in the near future.

Yesterday we rolled out an additional hotfix to Battlerite Arena Patch 2.0.1 addressing some small bugs that came with the patch.

Gameplay Updates

  • Holy Flame
    • Now displayed correctly in the score menu
    • Fixed an issue that made Holy Flame's air time the same regardless of range. Air time at max range is now increased from 0.5s to 0.7s

  • Fixed a bug where Jumong's EX M2 could instantly hit the same target three times

  • Fixed a bug where the Haste from Taya's Space now properly fades at the end
  • Fixed a bug where Taya's Windfury didn't refresh the duration of haste correctly
