We've rolled out a hotfix today to address some of the bugs in the Yuletide patch, as well as adjust some numbers for our newest Champion, Shen Rao.

• Fixed a bug that allowed for Interrupt on Move to be unchecked in options

  • Initial movement speed duration increased from 0.2 to 0.3
    
  • Max range reduced rfom 5.5 to 5

  • Boomerangs now reflect in the correct direction with less jerkiness
• Dragon Storm (F)
  
  • Orbital radius increased from 3.2 to 3.6
    
  • Orbital damage reduced from 24 to 20
    
  • Projectile damage reduced from 16 to 15
• Storm Struck (Debuff)
  
  • Enemies moved by Storm Struck now move at the same speed regardless of character movement speed. Works on immobilized targets.
    
  • Fixed a bug where player input could affect the direction of movement during Storm Struck

  • Now properly classified as a Space Battlerite

It’s time for the Community Weekly!



It’s been one year since Battlerite became Free-to-Play, and we’re celebrating - don’t miss out on the fun! We’ve released the Anniversary Chest, which contains all items from previous events! Take part in the fun now before the event ends on the 14th!



Patch 1.9.1 is out, putting an end to the Halloween shenanigans but bringing with it a whole host of updates and balance changes - as well as a large overhaul to the Odeum (now Replays)!

Battlerite Patch 1.9.1 is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, November 7th, at 08:00 UTC. There will be minimal downtime.


It'll be a year since Battlerite was released as Free-to-Play on November 8th!

Between November 7th to November 14th we're celebrating with the Anniversary Chest - a chest that contains all droppable Creepy, Frozen, Lunar, and Prehistoric items. It guarantees a non-duplicate Epic or Legendary drop from any of these events. All event items that can be dropped can be viewed in your collection, but cannot be purchased for Tokens or Gems.

In Battlerite you can obtain these chests by:

• Purchasing them for 200 Gems per Chest
  
  • Purchase 5 Chests for 1,000 Gems and receive 1 bonus Chest for free
    
  • Purchase 20 Chest for 4,000 Gems and receive 7 bonus Chests for free
• Completing Event Quests:
  
  • Win 20 Casual, League or Duel Rounds
    
  • Win a Casual or League Match as a Champion of each Champion type (Melee, Ranged, Support)
• Logging in between November 8th 8:00 AM UTC to November 9th 8:00 UTC to get a free Anniversary Chest and an avatar

If you're looking for the chance to get another Anniversary Chest, there's also an Event Quest in Battlerite Royale that will reward one too!

• Free Champion Rotation has been updated, all Champions are now included in at least one rotation
  
• Improved the look of the line of sight effect
  
• Fixed a performance issue that was caused by having a lot of friends in the friendslist. Players affected would get random fps drops while in-game.
  
• Target Dummies added to starting area in Misty Woods Day and Night

End of Curse of the Night

• Account level rewards switched back to regular Silver Chests
  
• Silver Chests once again purchasable
  
• Spooky and Creepy Chests no longer purchasable
  
• Halloween cosmetics no longer purchasable

UI

• Fixed an issue where some players were unable to purchase some items correctly
  
• Fixed an issue where Event Chests would not display how many items were owned in that specific Chest

Replays (Formerly Odeum)

The Odeum has been renamed to Replays and a button for it has been added to the quick access menu on the home screen. Along with this change come a number of new features and bugfixes:

• Events for kills and deaths are now shown on the replay editor playback bar
  
• The replay settings window has received a visual update to better represent how the settings interact
  
• Increased the hit boxes of various parts of the replay editor playback bar to make them easier to click and grab
  
• Players now automatically follow their friends in the replay system again
  
• The replay editor playback bar no longer displays a disabled portion of timeline at the start of the replay
  
• The "Copy Profile Link" button now works as intended
  
• Fixed an issue where aim previews would still be rendered despite having disabled HUD
  
• Fixed an issue where champions would lag a lot in replays recorded with a low frame rate
  
• Fixed an issue where the embedded replay viewer would render replays in a lower quality in it's minimized mode

New Replay Feature - Export Replays Beta

Players can now opt in to use the new export replay feature under Options / Misc. This feature allows players to export their replay clips in video format to their hard drive and/or upload directly to YouTube. There may be bugs with this feature and it may not work correctly for everyone, please report bugs on the support website.

In this patch, we revisit some champions that have not seen any changes for a while and strengthen a few rites with low to middling pick rates in order to offer additional viable choices for their loadouts. Beyond that some of the remaining outliers see further adjustment.

Jumong

We continue our act of fine-tuning Jumong's capabilities by reducing Rain of Arrow's overall DPS and EPS while shifting some of that power onto the ability's zoning capabilities. Conversely, we are trying to keep Jumong's overall zoning payoff similar by lowering the reward of Bear Trap.

  • Duration increased from 1.5s to 1.8s
• Bear Trap (E)
  
  • Root duration reduce from 2s to 1.8s

Oldur

Oldur sees his playstyle switch slightly more as he gets an additional way to consume Time Bomb, but loses the standard damage output on Shifting Sands to further solidify his identity as more of a backloaded damage-dealing support.

• Shifting Sands (Space)
  
  • No longer deals damage when passing through enemies
    
  • Now consumes Time Bomb when passing through enemies to instantly trigger its effect (like it consumes Rejuvenate on allies)

Pearl

• Riptide (Space)
  
  • Root duration increased from 1s to 1.2s
• Tsunami (Q)
  
  • Damage increased from 10 to 12
• Tasty Fish (E)
  
  • Healing increased from 8 to 10

Sirius

Varesh

Devastation allows Varesh to exert a palpable amount of pressure. This change tempers it but still allows for fairly high-speed Hand of Judgement usage. Unlimited Power, renamed Perpetuity to reduce confusion with the Absolute Power rite, now also triggers when Wuju consumes Corruption. To balance out this new compatibility it sees a reduction to its bonus effect.
