We’ve finally come to a state to pin a date for the release of update V1.5!
31st of January

To compliment the release, a planned trailer will be released beforehand to show you of what the battlefield will look like in v1.5.



Take a look at the main changes of v1.5:

- New core gamemode - Uplink Assault
- New rotating social playlist - first mode is Gun Game
- New weapons - RPG-7, M203, Flaregun
- New main menu
- New weapon models - Makarov, AKS74-u, SKS
- New hands - new model, better weapon grips, gestures
- New map
- Server Browser shows games with Steam and Oculus friends in them
- New loading screen
- Rescaled the weapons to their real life values
- Rezeroed all the sights on the weapons
- Fixed the charging handle rotation animation to G36 and G3
- Made bolt action rifles more reliable. Bolt closes automatically if near to being closed
- Improved the Night Vision
- Added option to toggle left/right eye that renders to the monitor
- Added Refresh Loadout button to Tablet in freeroam lobbies to respawn all items selected in tent.
- Water: Be safe, you can now drown
- Shooting Range: Expanded west boundary of map to allow for longer range sniper practice
- Shooting Range: added moving targets
- Fixed VIP unique icon on the Tablet
- Fixed a lot of Performance issues
- Remade the smoke grenade for better performance

These changes are some of the many changes we’ve worked on. We’ll post a more detailed changelog on update release.

Hey guys,

Firstly we want to apologize, because we know you’ve been patiently waiting for our v1.5 update. We want you to experience the update in it's best form, and for that to happen, we need a few more weeks to make sure the new gamemodes, new maps, performance improvements, and other content are polished and balanced. We will be moving our V1.5 release to January.

Downpour Interactive has grown a ton in the past few months, and we really think you'll like what we've been working on. We believe this update will have a little something for everyone.

Small update today with a couple quality of life improvements, bugfixes, and a remodel.



General
  • New G17 pistol model
  • Tent: Re-added option to edit loadout while round is in progress
  • Tent: Attachments are now sorted by cost
  • Tablet: UI buttons now swap left/right side based on what hand is holding the Tablet
  • Server Filter: Added Spec Ops
  • New icon!

Balance
  • PvP loadout points increased from 8 to 9
  • 4x Scope cost for Rifleman and Support class reduced from 4 to 3
  • 4x Scope cost for Designated Marksman class reduced from 3 to 2
  • 12x Scope cost reduced from 4 to 3

Fixes
  • Performance: Fixed multiple error spams causing poor performance
  • Fire: Fixed burning to death on map fire causing bad respawn
  • Smoke Grenade: Fixed smoke not being synced between players
  • Abandoned: Fixed VR goggles spawning you in sideways
  • Tanker: Fixed start of round grenade blocker incorrectly blocking bullets
  • Tent: Fix unable to press Vote Kick buttons
  • Tent: Fix Loadout #1 incorrectly showing Foregrip equipped when it is not
  • Tent: Fix private lobby map vote incorrectly having countdown timer
  • Tent: Fix private lobby map vote not populating map buttons correctly on first load

  • Several fixes to spawning without gear due to de-sync with master client
  • Player: Fixed breath particles still emitting after player death
  • C4: Fixed explosion causing players to die multiple times

Pardon our dust

We’ve been working hard to fix the biggest issues so we can bring back the update just in time for Halloween! Along with a few balance changes to make Spec Ops more enjoyable.

Balance
  • Spec Ops: Reduced mag count for Marsoc in ammo boxes (now 50% chance to spawn a pistol mag)
  • Spec Ops: Added rare chance for Volk to get molotovs in the ammo boxes
  • Removed 2 point loss for Marsoc timeout
  • Reverted back to 6 minute timers for all maps but Abandoned
    We’ll be gathering intel from the community regarding new round lengths to be set in a future update

Fixes
  • Molotov: Fixed issue causing spawned fire not causing intended damage
    Expect exploded molotovs to cause a lot more damage now
  • C4 Clacker: Fixed the clacker not being hold to grip as initially intended
  • Uplink: Fixed issue causing code to show as 0000000
  • Subway:
    • Operations: Hunt - AI now spawn in the service tunnels
    • Fixed issue causing players to fall through staircases
    • Fixed issue that caused players to be unable to cross the 3rd rail on train tracks
    • Fixed issue that allowed players to walk through water tank pipes in service tunnels
    • Fixed issue that allowed players to climb pallets and potentially go through the roof of service tunnels
    • Fixed issue that allowed players to climb the forklift in the service tunnels
    • Fixed issue that allowed players to see through the platform in the lowest train tracks
    • Made staircase hallways slightly more lit
  • Syringe: Fixed a rare bug causing players to be able to resurrect themselves
  • Main Menu: Improved performance with night time lighting
  • UI: Improved performance with the new UI in the tent
  • UI: Fixed intro UI showing the wrong faction occasionally
  • UI: Fixed intro UI not disappearing in Operations lobbies
  • UI: Fixed being able to trigger a vote kick for players on the opposite team
  • UI: Fixed vote kick box being in the wrong location after a player has swapped team
  • UI: Fixed issue causing auto-start checkbox
  • Tent: Fixed issue causing map vote to not work after playing two games in a row
  • Tent: Fixed issue causing the map vote timer to not reduce to 5 seconds after majority of players have voted
  • Player: Fixed issue causing players to spawn in with black screens
  • Removed ability to create competitive spec ops lobbies
  • SA80: Fixed mag not sitting correctly in the weapon
  • SA80: Fixed mag not having standard collision
  • SA80: Fixed holosight attachment alignment to weapon
  • SA80: Fixed magazine not having collision when dropped
