Huge update this week! TTotF is still very early in development, so keep the feedback rolling in, and I'll keep tweaking.
New Opponent! Meet Luis "The Lightning" Felix. Luis will keep getting tweaks, just like Joe has, especially as more changes are made to the fighting mechanics.
More room to roam! Opponents will now move away from you if you get too close. Your play area is now designated by the colored patch on the mat.
No more glass hands! The stamina mechanic (both for blocking and for hitting the opponent's block) has been removed. Fist hitboxes have been adjusted a bit as well.
Opponent blocking is now less frequent, faster, and less of a force field. I plan on tweaking this further based on feedback, but those who were finding blocks annoying previously should find them less so now.
The ring in the arena has been resized to meet regulations.
Various hitbox and animation tweaks.
Joe has been reworked a bit to better fit the above changes.
The tutorial is now more of a simple fight than a hand-holding tutorial. Most of the hidden mechanics that needed explaining have been removed, and I felt it was starting to get a bit silly to have to completely revamp the tutorial each week when I dropped a new patch.

Today's update tightens up the fighting mechanics and changes the blocking system. The base mechanics will still be tweaked based on user feedback, but are now far enough along for focus to shift to adding new opponents.
The blocking system has been revamped and now works simply by stopping the opponent's punches with your gloves. You can not only cover up, but also deflect and parry. Due to the increased skill required to block, the fatigue drain for blocking has been lessened slightly. Tweaks will be made to blocking hitboxes and fatigue drain based on user feedback.
Tightened up punching physics and hitboxes, and made opponent's reactions more responsive to the punches you throw.
Added new turning speed and walking mechanics for opponents
Brought big punch damage and little punch damage closer together, and removed the unique big punch noise.
Addressed easily winning fights by repeatedly throwing big punches right as the enemy begins their punch, constantly interrupting them.
Ugly Joe is now 25% uglier.
Ugly Joe's battle damage now looks more like he's hurt, and less like he wants to eat your family.
The tutorial has been revisited based on user feedback.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback and support! We're now live!
The game is still in an extremely early state, so expect lots of changes in the short term, and hold off on purchasing if you're looking for a fuller experience or a more stable feature set.
Short term focus will be on getting the boxing mechanics just right, and then more opponents will follow after that. Visual polish will be worked in along the way.
To those who played or watched the tech demo footage, here are changes you can expect in the current Steam version:
You can now block! Use it judiciously, though!
You can now hit the enemy outside of "sweet spot" windows. Those openings will be coming back in the form of bonus damage and stun states, but only for certain enemies and certain moves.
There is now a fatigue system for blocking and punching into your opponent's block.
New weigh-in screen for height calibration
Players head hitbox has been tweaked to allow for easier dodging
Opponents now track your head a bit as they swing, so leaning back a bit doesn't beat everything anymore.
