Last week we released ALT://Rundown 3.0 The Vessel, continuing our promise to the community bring back all the previous Rundowns to GTFO. We got some swift feedback on a couple of small things that didn't go exactly as plan and this patch corrects those. Among other things we had a problem that the immortal enemy on R7D1 was a bit too immortal and lore lovers would probably want to revisit ALTR3D1.
BUG FIXES
Added a missing terminal in ALT R3D1
Fixed bug where R7C1 had an incorrect audio log
Fixed bug where enemies in R7E1 weren't being removed when intended
In ALT://Rundown 3.0 The Vessel, you must deliver the neonate for neural imprinting, the final steps in a mystifying process to create whatever is inside that HSU. You will also discover messages and logs from another prisoner called John Schaeffer, who appears to have broken his programming and is determined to discover why he’s in Garganta, and answer the question: who is the Warden?

In just a couple of days the Warden will unlock a new alternative Rundown and although experienced prisoners will know what awaits them on the deeper expeditions, everything isn’t as you remember. Clear all of your weekend plans - ALT://Rundown 3.0 The Vessel releases on Thursday the 2nd of March, 12:00 UTC.
In this Rundown, you must deliver the neonate acquired in Rundown 2.0 for the final steps in a mystifying process to create whatever is inside that HSU. You will also discover messages and logs from another prisoner called John Schaeffer, who appears to have broken his programming and is determined to discover why he’s in Garganta, and answer the question:
The last year of GTFO was fantastic, releasing out of Early Access and delivering both new and previous rundowns. That meant that a lot of new prisoners were awoken but not everyone has a core gang of people to take on the challenge of GTFO with. This is why our official Discord server has been the home of a big part of the community since the game's early days.
This is just a small highlight of what you can find on the official Discord server
Region-based LFG channels
A plethora av voice channels with that extra good quality
Lore discussions for the curious and the terminal-scavenging log hunters alike
Deep talks about strategies for the harder challenges and what loadouts you should use
View and share clips and other media content from GTFO, from the funny gags to thorough guides
Technical support from people with hundreds of hours in the game
As many in this forum can attest to, it’s a beginner-friendly place where both veterans and freshly awoken prisoners can hang out and bonk some sleepers together.
The Outwear PM8 backpack will not lighten the immense mental burden that the prisoners carry with them. Neither does it give you or your teammates more capacity to carry medipacks or ammunition. It just looks good and sometimes that’s all you need. And the only thing stopping you from getting it is completing any expedition before the 31st of January, 23:59 UTC.
If you need support to fulfill this tremendous task you can invite your friends to GTFO as we offer 20 % off during the Lunar Year event on Steam. If your friends cannot be persuaded you can always find new teammates on our official Discord server..
Last December marked the first anniversary of GTFO out of Early Access and three years since the first release back in December 2019. And what accomplishments you, the prisoners, have made.
These are the statistics since the very beginning, and we are particularly proud of the revive numbers. GTFO is truly a game of working together.
Since the release of ALT://Rundown 1.0, no content is deleted from GTFO – it will just grow. There are currently three Rundowns available, with 26 nail-biting expeditions for your team to experience, and we will continue to release more content over the year to come.
First of all — thank you! GTFO has been nominated for "The Best Game You Suck At" for the second time and that is all because of you, the GTFO community. No one knows the game better than you and even though statistically only one in every seven expeditions succeeds, you keep plunging down into The Complex.
We now ask you to use that same determination to vote for us.
JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Billions of prisoners across the globe are putting in the work to get GTFO elected over that jewelry adventure or a basic soccer simulator.
STRONG POLICIES
GTFO promises to eventually look into the possibility of minor fog adjustments and a long-awaited nationwide spaghetti prohibition.
Don't miss to invite your friends to The Complex during our biggest sale yet as a part of the Steam Winter Sale, starting now and finishes on the 5th of January.
Prisoners, thank you all for the incredible response for ALT://Rundown 2.0 and for helping us get nominated for the Steam Awards (more on that later). Before we take a couple of weeks off for the holidays we have a small patch for you. It fixes the issues regarding the hacking tool's animation but also a bug that affected artifact pinging.
Patch notes
BUG FIXES
Fixed a bug where player couldn’t ping artifacts
Fixed a bug where after successfully performing a hack, the animation
wouldn’t play
Don't forget that you are rewarded with the HF Tardigrade C helmet if you clear all expeditions in ALT://Rundown 2.0.
Prisoners, it’s time to return to Rundown 2.0, released back in March 2020 following the success of the Early Access release a couple of months before. And if you thought that ALT://Rundown 1.0 was a breeze you just need to read the name “Infection” to understand that this will be more of a challenge.
In ALT://Rundown 2.0 Infection, you are tasked with retrieving a neonate Hydro Stasis Unit (HSU) and bringing it through a mysterious process involving various machines. While doing so, you and your team will catch a glimpse of the state of the world outside the nightmarish undergrounds of GTFO. But are your memories true?
Make it through all the expeditions and there's a new helmet waiting for you on the other side. The HF Tardigrade C helmet will prove that you've been to hell and back. Wear it with pride.
Your arsenal has been ungraded with two primary weapons from Rundown 2.0. The Malatack CH 4 Burst Rifle and Raptus Treffen Machine Pistol are now back at your disposal.
With this second phase of our plan for GTFO we are committed to continuing to add on the available expeditions at any given time. While at the same time shining new light on the dark parts of The Complex, giving you even more extreme challenges.

In The Complex, the darkness can be both your enemy and ally. It lets you slip away unnoticed after a successful expedition, leaving any horrors encountered still sleeping. But also makes you stumble right into the unforgiving embrace of a towering monstrosity.
To celebrate this darkness we are releasing a limited dark palette that lets you melt into the surroundings. But beware, teammates with happy trigger fingers might not see you until it’s too late and they wasted precious ammunition on you.
