It might have a naff name, but four-player squad nightmare GTFO also has some scary monsters. This is that foggy, cavern-diving co-op shooter from some former Payday developers at 10 Chambers, remember? It was also one of the better bullet-dispensers I saw at E3 last month. However, I didn t see this absolute night terror made manifest. It s a new enemy which looks like a shadow, and only appears when you pass your flashlight over it. See it in the video below. It s also got a screech like a good fork scraping across a bad plate. I hate it. Get it away from me. (more…)

E3 was a blast! GTFO was playable for the first time with many journalists attending our booth to try out some challenging co-operative FPS gaming. Also, shoutout to all our followers and fans that came by to say hello and play with us. Even though our booth was reserved for journalists this time, we got some chances to squeeze in our other friends. Always a pleasure to meet you IRL, thanks for your support.

We've received very positive coverage from the playtests - don't miss out the very informative articles at VG24/7, Trusted Reviews, PC Gamer, Variety and Gamespot.

GTFO nominated "Best of E3"
We're also very proud to announce our awards and nominations after E3 2018: being awarded "Best Cooperative Game" by Dualshockers and "Editors' Choice Award" by Rock Paper Shotgun, as well as being nominated "Best of E3" by PC Gamer and "Best in Show" by Gameinformer.

Journalist David Jagneaux visited the GTFO booth at E3 - and it seems the game really challenged him.

"Sometimes a game is just wildly different than I expected or ends up being more difficult or nuanced than I thought. But in the case of GTFO I had a game that I already knew about and was fully aware of what the team was going for. I’d seen the trailers, I’d done my research, and I thought I was ready. And still, I wasn’t ready.", he writes.

David details the gameplay he experienced in his article, which we really recommend you to read. In the end, he concludes: "The easiest comparison to make is Left 4 Dead, but GTFO also owes debt to Killing Floor, with a little scavenging and puzzles thrown in for good measure. But when the lights are down, the meds are thin and the tension is ramped up, GTFO is certainly shaping up to be one of the most tense and explosive co-op shooters around."

Christopher Livingston of PC Gamer stopped by our booth at E3 to play GTFO - for the first time playable at E3. Here's some of the stuff he had to say about the game, and 7 minutes (!) of previously unseen gameplay of GTFO. Find the article in full here.

"The depths of GTFO are to be approached slowly and cautiously, with careful coordination between your team members. It's not a game for bursting boldly into unexplored chambers spraying bullets wildly: there simply aren't enough bullets for that. Ammo is scarce even from the start, and each area should be carefully combed for every last ammo pack and medkit, and then shared among the team depending on who needs it most."

"I had a great time with the level of GTFO I played: it's a tense and creepy horror shooter that blends long periods of tense exploration and stealth with sudden freak-out bursts of chaotic gunplay when that stealth doesn't go quite right."

Interview with Ulf Andersson
Right after landing in Los Angeles, Ulf Andersson, founder of 10 Chambers Collective and Creative Director of GTFO, visited Geoff Keighley at YouTube Live @ E3 to talk about GTFO and show some new gameplay. You can find the interview and gameplay footage here:

Even though the work with GTFO is taking a lot of the team members' time (we're making huge progress and can't wait to show you soon - be sure of that), our composer and game designer Simon Viklund has taken the time to do some interviews lately. As some exciting information about GTFO is revealed during these interviews, we wanted to make sure all of you in our Steam Community don't miss out on them. There's no less than three of them for you to enjoy!

Terrible, terrible name aside, 10 Chambers 4-player horror FPS GTFO looks like a good time for fans of running terrified down a claustrophobic sci-fi corridor. You can see its flashlights and monsters in the trailer below.
