Spring is in the air and that means that around the world, theme parks are re-opening for the year ahead. We can't wait to get back to our favourites and we know many of you can't either.
We are delighted to announce we have partnered up with Carowinds in North Carolina to bring you the Copperhead Strike! This 50mph twisting and looping coaster train is beautifully themed like the original American hot-rods. It packs a real punch with its double launching track layout, which boasts an inverted top hat, two 360 loops, a corkscrew, and a unique jojo roll straight out the station. The track has been faithfully recreated from its real-life counterpart’s technical specifications, so it’s as close as you can get to riding the real thing!
You can soon experience it in Planet Coaster, but if you cannot wait, then watch the amazing new trailer here:
The Copperhead Strike coaster will be available to all of our friends for FREE and to celebrate, Community Managers Chanté and Bo will host a livestream with Carowinds Rep Lisa Stryker on 10 April 2019, at 7PM UTC on the Planet Coaster YouTube channel. Also keep an eye on our social channels this week for some exciting giveaways such as Carowinds Park Tickets!
We are also overjoyed to announce the Classic Rides Collection, which will be arriving alongside the free 1.11 Copperhead Strike update on 16 April, 2019! Similar to our last content collection, this one will have nine new rides for you, one of which with two variations. Make sure you keep an eye on our social channels over the next few days, as we have exciting ride reveals that we cannot wait to share with you all!
We're excited to announce that update 1.10.2 is now live! This update focuses on some QoL issues that we've been reviewing based on your feedback and reports over the past couple of months. We've run tests and are seeing an average 3.5x faster game loading and 2x faster game shut down, depending on the setup - players with high spec PCs should see even greater improvements. This update should also address the Toolkit problems and performance issues you've been flagging with us.
We appreciate your patience in letting us delve deep into these reports as well as your help in getting us images and hardware information that have been vital to solving them! As always, if you encounter any issues with the game, please let us know in the Bug Reports.
Thank you so much for your continued support.

Well, we've been monitoring all your progress in filling your parks with coaster track and we're excited to reveal that you succeeded in placing 25,000km of coaster track! As a reward the F25 will now be made available to everyone on Planet Coaster! Congratulations everyone, you did it!

With so many amazing things released for Planet Coaster this year we thought we'd add one last cherry on top for 2018! So without further ado, we are thrilled to reveal the Magnificent Rides Collection, coming to you on 18 December, 2018!
This pack will have nine new rides for you, one of which will have two variations! Over the next few days, you may be able to catch a glimpse of these rides... but you'll have to keep an eye out!
You will be able to purchase the Magnificent Rides Collection from Steam or the Frontier Store for £7.99 ($10.99, €10.99). Please note that you need to have the Planet Coaster base game in order to download and play this extra content.
On 12 December at 7PM UTC, you can join Community Manager Chanté and Lead Artist Sam Denney for a showcase of some of the new rides coming in this Collection.
Keep your eyes peeled on our official channels in December; we can't wait to show you more!
It's that time of the year again, where it's all about giving, sharing, and celebrating. And of course we wouldn't have it any other way then to celebrate this time with you...
Frontier's 24 Hour Charity Stream!
On 17 December, 2018 (midday UTC), Frontier will be starting our fourth annual Charity livestream to raise money for SpecialEffect, a wonderful charity which helps people with physical disabilities use technology and play videogames. It's a charity we are all incredibly passionate about, and last year we raised over £58,000 together with you all - we can't wait to reach more milestones this year and have 24 hours full of fun activities for you to enjoy. We will be hosting several activities in the weeks to come as well as during the 24 hour stream, which will end on 18 December, midday UTC.
Charity Auction
This year we've got another exciting Charity Auction lined up for you; this Auction features unique prizes that you can bid on, like two special Elite Dangerous paintjobs, signed props from our Jeff Goldblum interview earlier this year, or a unique Planet Coaster cushion set (and loads more, don't worry!). We will post separately about all the prizes you can bid on in the coming week. All of the money from the Charity Auction goes to our Just Giving page for SpecialEffect, and you will receive your amazing prize (if you are the highest bidder) after the Charity stream.
Charity Sweepstake
The Charity Sweepstake is the final hour of the livestream (so 11AM UTC on 18 December) and it's the hour during which we give out loads of amazing prizes to our wonderful community. For every £1 you donate to our Just Giving campaign between now and 18 December 11 AM UTC, you get 1 entry into the prize draw (so if you donate £10, you get 10 entries, and so forth). At the end of the stream we will pick winners together on screen, so make sure to donate and enter your email address (the optional field at donation, not as a comment) for a chance to win one of the following amazing prizes:
Noblechairs ICON in white
PlayStation 4 Pro
Xbox One X
Thrustmaster (for platform of your choice)
Elgato StreamDeck Mini
HyperX headsets
Corsair HS50, GLAIVE Mouse, MM800 pad
Frontier Goodiebag
Frontier Game Bundle on the platform of your choice x3 (contains Elite Dangerous + Horizons, Planet Coaster Deluxe, Jurassic World Evolution, and LostWinds 1 + 2)

... and much more!
Milestones!
You are changing lives by donating to SpecialEffect and for that we cannot thank you enough! During the 24 hour livestream, for every £1,000 we reach in donations, we have a milestone activation - this will unlock a special giveaway or some secret Frontier content for you! So do keep supporting the cause during the stream as much as you can, and help us reach our target goal of £30,000!
Streaming Schedule
We've also enlisted the help of some fabulous community content creators to help us raise as much money as possible. During the 24 hours, we have a separate streaming schedule where you can always find someone playing the game or doing charity challenges with their communities. We will post the full roster as soon as possible.
Thank you as always for the incredible and valuable support during the past year; from the launch of Jurassic World Evolution to the community meet-ups and the countless game updates, it means the world to us to have you by our side. We hope you're excited to join our cause and our celebration, and remember that it's all going towards SpecialEffect. Every little bit makes a huge difference in someone else's life.
Every full £1 (UK British pounds) donated to the Just Giving page is an entry into the prize draw.
If a donation is made in another currency, it will be converted to make sure you receive the correct number of entries into the prize draw.
The prize draw will be held on 18 December, 2018 at 11AM UTC as the final part of the livestream. Any donation made between the time this post goes live and 18 December, 2018 11AM UTC will count towards this prize draw.
For prize draw tickets to be valid, they must include suitable contact details. Please put your email address in the donation field (not as a publicly viewable comment).
Prizes in the Sweepstake may be substituted for one of equal value if, for any reason, they become unavailable, such as going out of stock.
Prizes are available worldwide.
Where a prize is not deliverable by a specific merchant, vouchers may be offered for a suitable retailer instead. Specifically for the Gaming PC, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro.
Prizes will be shipped in January 2019, after all the winners' addresses have been collected. Game codes will be sent as soon as possible after the stream concludes on 18 December.
