With the current Alpha 3 build you’ll be able to play the iconic modular building system and the extremely powerful terrain editor as well as utilizing the steam workshop features to share your creations during the party! Remember that a lot of the additional items like the simulation and management aren’t currently in this version but will be available for our beta in early November which Thrillseeker owners get access to also!

To celebrate our amazing community, the hard work of the Planet Coaster development team, and our upcoming Beta and subsequent game release on November 17, we are organising an extra special event for you:


From Thursday, October 6 at 6PM BST, until Monday, October 10 at 5PM BST, anyone who has pre-ordered the Thrillseeker Edition of Planet Coaster will be able to join the Early Bird owners playing the Planet Coaster Alpha! What’s more, we’ll be coming together for an epic, imaginative, and fun weekend of community livestreams and activity!


Before we get started...

Make sure you’re ready by pre-ordering the Thrillseeker Edition of Planet Coaster so you can get access and join us during the Alpha weekend. The Thrillseeker Edition also includes Beta Access in early November, a Gold Mascot, Digital Sketchbook, Official Soundtrack, and in-game Golden Baseball Cap for your avatar which will be available at the game's release on November 17, 2016.

In preparation for this wonderful and creativity-filled weekend, and to get our new Thrillseeker players quickly up to speed, we are asking current Alpha players to create our foundations; all we need is the base of our epic park, meaning that all paths are there and some of the terrain editing has been done. Be as intricate or straightforward as you want with it; just remember to have clear areas in your park where we can build shops, coasters, rides, and community blueprints.

Save your park as PartyInThePark_YOURNAME and upload the park blueprint to the Steam Workshop (or alternatively submit its Steam URL to community@frontier.co.uk – be sure to title the email “Party in the Park Foundations”). We will pick one of your submitted parks to be the starting point of our giant community creation, and use it to build upon during the weekend livestreams.


Piece by Post

Another thing we want our current Alpha players to create together is the centrepiece of our park. We won’t know what it will be; it can turn into a superb statue, a funky figure, or a brilliant building. What’s important is that we make it together. Each of you who signs up gets to create a part of the centrepiece, save it, and send it on the next person. A Planet Coaster game of Chinese whispers, so to say! The final centrepiece will be revealed during the weekend livestreams and placed prominently inside our community park.

To take part in our Piece by Post experiment, please fill in and submit this Google Form. The community team will then contact all participants with the relevant instructions via the forum and email to get the process started and we will try and get through as many people as possible.

As previously mentioned, all pre-orders of the Thrillseeker Edition of Planet coaster will be able to join the Early Birds owners in the Planet Coaster Alpha during this weekend. Your Community Managers will be streaming on Saturday and Sunday at 18:00 - 21:00 BST – during these streams we will build our community park together, so be sure to tune in and continuously give us suggestions about what it will look like. You can also submit any of your Workshop items, and we will review them live as our park expands and grows.

The final park will be available on Steam to be played.

It’s amazing to see the entire community be so involved with the content that’s out there at the moment, and we want to put you in the spotlight!

Introducing... Workshop Wonderland! As part of our Community livestreams, we want to highlight what you’ve been creating in Planet Coaster, whether it’s loopy rollercoasters, fun-filled shopping streets, or detailed buildings. This Wednesday, September 7 at 7PM BST, we will host part one of Workshop Wonderland, one of many community livestreams in which we zoom in on the amazing work uploaded to the Steam Workshop by YOU, our great and creative community.

We're really excited to start doing more community streams in the coming weeks, which will be interactive and let you all enjoy and discover the many different aspects of Planet Coaster's Alpha 3. Bear in mind that these will be community-focused streams, meaning we want to involve you in the creativity and passion that drives Planet Coaster forward, but there won't be specific content reveals. It's all about having fun together!
