'Festival' DLC brings the party to Tropico 6

Together with Realmforge Studios we have today announced that Tropico 6 will launch its brand-new ‘Festival’ DLC on August 26th. Busting onto Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Tropico 6 – Festival allows you to become the hottest party planner on the archipelago, assisting Tropican leader El Presidente in hosting an array of spectacular shindigs while staving off an ancient entity.

In Tropico 6 – Festival, you will plan, build and make use of a stunning sense of cunning to manage a series of magnificent island soirees whilst taking on ‘The Boredom’ – an evil entity threatening to remove all things fun from the sun-soaked isles of Tropico.

Festival adds unique party planning gameplay to Tropico 6, including four distinctly themed areas for you to throw their events, new buildings such as the Dance School, Balloon and Fireworks factory, a bevy of fresh tunes, and a snazzy party outfit (and paint job) for El Prez and the presidential palace.

Tropico 6 Update 14 – El gran resumen!

Tropico 6 has just received Update v.14: ‘El gran resumen’ on PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One und PS4. This update adds three new multiplayer maps and the brand-new ‘Resource Overview’ tab. It also fixes several bugs, including the player receiving an overly high tourist rating after visiting a Gourmet Restaurant with Sushi Mastery work mode.

Update (v.13) 'Esparcidor de Estiércol'

Tropico 6 has just received Update 13 – Esparcidor de Estiércol. This update introduces the new ‘Flophouse’ building - providing, well... a roof (at least) for the poor - and the ‘Manure Spreader’, which should help put all that llama poo to good use.

By popular request, we’ve also added 3 new multiplayer maps, along with a handful of improvements and bug fixes.

  • Fixed an issue that led to corrupted save games if the player destroyed a pharmaceutical company in the work mode “powerful placebos”.

  • Fixed an issue where banks would not generate the calculated income in the work mode "private banking".

  • Fixed an issue where the market manipulation raid in the cyber operations center was not working correctly if the player had built a pirate cove as well.

  • Fixed an issue where fish farms would display "fish" as their produced good after loading a save game, even though they were producing "shellfish".

  • Fixed an issue where destroyed tunnels could not be rebuilt – tunnels can no longer be damaged, but they can still be destroyed.

  • Fixed a misleading rescindable date in the almanac after winning an election.

  • After issuing the Martial Law edict, an incorrect election date was shown in the almanac. The election date has been fixed.

  • Fixed effects of last election speech being applied for subsequent elections when explicitly choosing to hold early elections.

  • Fixed a palace configuration that prevented roads to be built near the palace

  • Fixed roads that could not be demolished in pause mode if built on top of previously demolished buildings.

  • [Multiplayer] Fixed an issue in which players were unable to delete tunnels.

  • [Multiplayer] After relocating buildings within multiplayer sessions, the in-game UI will now stay in its correct position.

  • [Multiplayer] [Caribbean Skies] Fixed an issue where Cargo Airports could be used to steal goods from other players.

Tropico 6 - Hotfix 1 (v.12.1)

A hotfix for Tropico 6 has just been released.

This includes several bug fixes and solves outstanding issues, such as the Caribbean Skies add-on content not functioning properly for some players.

  • Fixed an issue where teamsters would occasionally stop to support buildings
  • [Caribbean Skies] [Multiplayer] Fixed an issue where the add-on content wasn’t functioning properly for all players if it wasn’t owned by all players
  • [Caribbean Skies] Fixed an issue where teamsters would transport goods in an infinite loop between the Dock and Cargo Airport
  • [Caribbean Skies] Fixed an issue wherein the Cargo Airport catching fire then being extinguished would render the building inoperable
  • [Caribbean Skies] [Mission 3] Scientists’ houses now indicate the need for a road connection
  • Fixed an issue where the X button could no longer be used to construct multiple buildings after any changes were applied in the Options menu
  • Increased the range of Middle East demands to match the respective area of influence

Tropico 6 Update (v.12) 'Órdenes de emergencia'


Tropicans,
A new update for Tropico 6 is now available for PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One and PS4.
In this update, players will receive TWO new island paradises to govern and monitor. The game has also received various improvements and new additions, including a new edict and the ability for the player to prioritise the construction of routes with the new Emergency Jobs system.

  • New edict: Tropico Papers
    Tropican citizens at the ‘Filthy Rich’ wealth level no longer need to pay rent. Instead, every month, 15% of what they would have paid is rerouted to the player’s personal Swiss bank account. The personal experience of Tropicans living within range of any media buildings operating on the ‘Open mind’ or ‘Telenovela’ work mode will decrease by 10%.


  • Teamster emergency jobs
    Would you like a job done immediately?
    The new Emergency Job ability allows players to set a teamster a priority route with which to complete a job - handy for heist setbacks, delivery quests, and factory support.


  • If changes are made in the Options menu and the player tries to exit before saving, a warning will now be displayed


    Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where content unlocked by Achievements would no longer be available if the respective profile had been deleted
  • Fixed a bug where Ancient Ruins displayed the Road Connection requirement – something only applicable to the mission ‘Tropicoland’
  • Fixed an issue where tourists and Tropicans would float around Transport Ships
  • Fixed the source of several crashes
  • Fixed a couple of localisation issues
