Agony - TheHellMessenger

Dear Agony Fans,

After many consultations and hard work full of trials and errors, we have two pieces of news for you.

Firstly, we have managed to include a lot of things that we originally wanted to provide in the patch in the final game. It has been accepted by PEGI and other rating companies. The censorship now affects only several seconds from two endings (out of seven) and some scenes that may be unlocked only after the end of the game. We will be able to show them to you in a video that we are planning to release soon.

None of the scenes you have seen in the trailers and other promotional materials have been censored at all, and the game will feature those on all platforms:

Gore
Brutal Sex Scenes
Lesbian and Gay Sex Scenes
Genital Physics
Eye Gouging
Heart Plucking
Children Heads Exploding
Setting Fire to Martyrs and Demons
Intense Violence
Strong Language
Drugs

Secondly, due to legal issues, we are not going to be able to release the Adult Only patch. However, that content does not affect the game in any significant way because the deleted material that was supposed to be added in the latest version of the patch is from two endings (out of seven) and some scenes that may be unlocked only after the end of the game. We are going to publish a comparison video on May 30th, 2018 so you will not miss out anything.

Please bear in mind that leaving this content uncensored would result in the game being banned and us, Madmind Studio, being sued. That would simply lead to the studio being closed. Obviously, we don’t want this to happen and we hope that you understand it.

Agony is still the game we have planned all along and we are very proud of what we have achieved.

Agony is coming and we have prepared a contest for you to celebrate it – this is your chance to get some exclusive Agony gadgets!

You have 11 days to impress the Red Goddess, starting today!

Suprise her with your creativity!

You can get amazing awards: The trophy for the first place is a secret wooden chest, covered in blood. It's contents remain a secret. What's inside? Will you be the lucky one? Will you open the Chest of Agony? Use any technique to show us your favorite character from Agony! It's up to you to decide in what form you will submit your work. Will it be a sketch of Succubus on a piece of paper? Or perhaps a picture of a Chort? Cosplay of a Martyr with a bag on his head? Be creative! Impress the Red Godess and win a fight for her attention! Become the person chosen by the Red Goddess herself!

RULES:

Accept the regulations by writing a comment under the competition entry on Facebook. Each participant can send only one work, which may be presented on several photos. Permitted file formats: JPG, PNG, TGA, PSD.

Send your work to us: info@madmind-studio.com and remeber to write AGONY BOX in the subject of your message. The e-mail must include your name and surname. The competition ends May 22nd 2018, and the winners selected by Madmind Studio will be announced May 24th. Competition works that will be delivered to us later than May 22nd, will not be taken under consideration.

Agony has a new story trailer, and it's almost too much to bear

Agony

Agony looks like a charming video game. It's horror and it's not shy about it. Instead of gloomy dark hallways containing jump scare monstrosities, the actual hallways themselves are monstrosities (they pulsate and bleed and generally look unpleasant). And in keeping with Outlast 2's infamous charred baby pit, this new Agony story trailer (embedded below) shows a baby being fed to a big gaping mouth. Scary stuff.

The trailer purports to outline the game's story. Don't get me wrong, I will play this wretched video game and hopefully enjoy it, but the voiceover comes across a bit Black Metal Cats. From what I can gather, the player character has fallen into somewhere bad, presumably hell itself, and there's a goddess they must contend with in order to... survive? Get out? Not sure. It barely matters, because exploring this world is what appeals most to me.

Check out the trailer below. The game releases on May 29, and will feature a story mode as well as an "open challenge system" which generates levels at random. I'm very eager to play it but... am also kinda happy to wait, to be honest.

You’ve been tortured for countless days, not being able to get out of the Hell. But finally! The salvation day is coming soon, so save your strengths and be prepared for the slightest chance of escaping the horrors of the past and solve the riddle behind the mysterious Red Goddess!

I’m coming back to you straight from the Hellish Grounds to confirm that Agony will see a simultaneous release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 29th, 2018! Just don’t party too hard out there! Remember that Succubus will react to any sound you’ll make, so it would be foolish to give away your position just before the window of freedom opens…

I wouldn’t deserve my title if I couldn’t bring you a treat to ease your pain of waiting. Watch the teaser trailer of Agony and prepare yourself for the worse to come:
