Dedicated Servers
We've had some partnership issues that forced us to postpone the release of this crucial feature to January. We absolutely understand your frustration regarding the problems that poor internet connection and leaving hosts can generate.
Please be sure that our decision on this matter is only motivated by the urge to give you the best multiplayer experience. We'll spend this time to set up an infrastructure that will allow us to have a very large number of Northgard instances running at the same time.

Changes on Tech Trees:
For all clans:
We’ve merge Militia & Defense, giving Defense Strategy: +20% Attack for Villagers & +20% defense for Watch Towers
Feeling Safe has been moved and is now replaced by MonsterSlayer: +30% attack power against Mystical Creatures - Draugar, Valkyries, Giants, Giant Hero (Blainn), Wyvern.
Sharp Weapons has been replaced by Military Strategy: Military units gains +5% attack for each type of friendly military units in the area.
Trading (or Bartering) is now necessary to build a Lighthouse
Erudition buff for Loremaster is now by 20% (previously 10%)
Clan of the Goat:
Barricade’s bonus now goes from 30% to 20%
Food Trade: Trading food increases your trading routes' income by 50% (previously 100%)
Clan of the Bear: Shield Master’s bonus goes from 20% resistance to 15% and the tech changes place
Clan of the Raven: Fame 200 now grants +3 Villagers and +3 Max Population
Clan of the Boar:
The menders now grant +1 Lore instead of +2
Bartering now grants:
+1 Krowns per 8 population (rounded down)
The ability to trade with Neutrals
Unlocks the Lighthouse (see the Trade Victory Section)
Handiwork takes the place of Nature Gift (which has disappeared)
Handiwork has been replaced by Lay of the Land: -30% chance of being attacked by Wolves, Draugar or Valkyries
Clan of the Wolf:
Cartography has been removed (very low pick rate) and replaced by Plunder: When decolonizing a tile, the units in this tile are healed by +50% of their max health
Pillage is now called Spoils of War
New Features
The Clans of the Boar, Raven, Goat and Stag now have different skins for their Warchiefs!
When creating a multiplayer game, you can now choose the difficulty of each AI and the hostility of Northgard separately
When creating a FFA game with AI players, the AI will now be placed on Northgard randomly (in previous versions, the AIs were always grouped)
We changed the way victory is displayed when winning in team (the game now congratulates every member of the winning team)!
We changed the way the ESC button works. ESC will close each active window and only then open the menu.
When someone is kicked from a lobby, they won’t have the possibility to re-enter the lobby
When someone leaves a game, they will be replaced by an AI after 5 minutes. If the player reconnects, he will take back control of his clan. The AI difficulty is scaled on the hostility of Northgard.
We changed a few more things in the way disease works:
When a unit gets sick, it will lose 90% of its max health (if a unit has 100hp, it will lose 90hp).
The player can heal a unit during the disease. We added the fact that the unit will remain sick if the food or wood production remains < 0.
It is no longer possible for a healer/mender’s hut to heal a unit already healed by another healer/mender’s hut.
We upped the damages of the AxeThrowers by 20%
Upgrading military buildings will now only grant a +5% attack power bonus (10% previously)
Trade Victory
We completely changed the way the trade victory worked:
To win a Trade victory, you now need to build a Lighthouse
The Lighthouse can be built as an extension to a Longship Dock or a Harbor
This new building extension will allow you to gain access to “Great Trade Routes”
These will allow you to send Kröwns to various locations and gain Commercial Influence:
Sending Kröwns to your homeland on the continent will grant you +5 in Commercial Influence for -5 Kröwns
Sending Kröwns to Miklagard will grant you +10 in Commercial Influence in exchange for -20 Krowns
Sending Kröwns to Vinland will grant you +15 in Commercial Influence in exchange for -40 Krowns
You cannot build more than 1 Lighthouse, and therefore, you cannot have more than 1 Great Trade Route!
To win a Trade victory, you will need to reach 2000 in Commercial Influence
Bug Fixes
When healing Vedrfolnir with x different huts, the achievement was unlocked x times. This has been fixed!
When repairing a military building, players were losing a few Kröwns, this has been fixed
The UI will now allow much more compatibility with various screen resolutions!
Deers now respawn normally
The message “you’re under attack” will now always disappear once this attack is over
When a player loses a game in multiplayer, he is no longer allowed to pause it anymore. This also generated a bug where the “resume the game” button didn’t work.
There was an issue in the way ressources incomes were displayed (the addition of various resources didn’t correspond to the flow). It is now fixed
We fixed most “Zone is null” errors
The map size didn’t worked as intended. You will now be able to play on very large map with any number of players
The achievement "Iron Miner" now requires to mine 60 iron (previously 150)

We've identified a few problems and bugs with the current version of the game, and we're working on solving these :)
Multiplayer Patch - December
This update will introduce something that many of you asked: Dedicated servers. Those servers will hopefully grant you more stable and less laggy games, solving the issues of hosts disconnecting!
We'll add many more things to make the experience more fun and intuitive: - The possibility to choose a different difficulty for Northgard (as the environment) and for each AI individually - The possibility to kick someone from the lobby (he won't be able to join again) - The players leaving a game will be replaced by an AI - The AI will have a more human behavior
In this patch we plan to entirely revisit the Trade Victory, more information about it will soon come. We'll also add some other smaller things that were missing in the game.
First Campaign update - January 2018
We'll unveal the first 4 chapters of the campaign in the beginning of 2018. This campaign will tell a story about a young Viking Warchief and his quest for colonizing Northgard! The player will meet each clan one after the other, interact with them (not all of them have good intentions ;) )
Some changes to the UI and Key Binding will also be implemented at this time.
The end of Early Access Period
We intend to fully release Northgard in Februray-March 2018 (this is an objective, not a certainty ^^). The period of time between the January update and the official release will be dedicated on solving every little problem that we identify!

The official launch of the game will not mean the end of new features addition, and we're looking into adding new clans, gameplay mechanics, etc...
