Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands - UBI-Zuzu
You will be able to visit Bolivia soon enough, Ghost, so you better be prepared for the challenge. While the game can be completed in single-player mode with the help of your AI teammates, you can also play with up to 4 players in co-op. In order to provide you with the smoothest experience possible, we are launching a new free service that will let you find task force members with similar playstyles and experience.

GHOST RECON NETWORK, THE PLACE TO EXPAND YOUR GAME EXPERIENCE

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands gives you total freedom of choice in the way you face missions. From stealthy incursions to a full-frontal assault, the game supports plenty of different playstyles and provides you with the tools to confront the Santa Blanca cartel the way you want. The best way to achieve a great team synergy is playing with friends, so today we would like to introduce the Ghost Recon Network, an online social space that will let you find players who share similar interests and playstyles, on top of being able to communicate and coordinate with your already existing friends.

Ghost Recon Network is a free service that will be launched alongside the Ghost Recon Wildlands Closed Beta preload on February 1st and will remain active from then on. It can be checked on your browser, your tablet, or your phone. Once you log in you will be able to check your game stats and achievements, access profiles of other Ghost Recon players, and build your own task force on the go. Looking for a silent sniper or an aggressive automatic rifleman to help you with a mission? Ghost Recon Network will give you the tools to build the perfect team you have in mind.

The only thing you need to do to start enjoying all the advantages of Ghost Recon Network is to use your Ubisoft Club account to log in (remember to link your PSN or Xbox Live account to your profile if you are playing on consoles). The site will automatically create your Ghost Profile including dozens of detailed stats assessing your in-game performance from long-range accuracy, to weapons of choice. However, if you want to access the service during the Closed Beta period, remember you will need to be among the selected players to play the test.#

The public side of your profile will show the world what kind of player you are. Are you born to be a task force leader? Are you aggressive or do you prefer to be more tactical? Depending on your favorite playstyle, other players will describe you using the available tags and you will be able to share them in your profile page. Complete your profile, introduce yourself to the community and earn some exclusive badges by doing it.

Your profile will also include useful information like your preferred language, your time zone, and even the days you usually connect to play. This information will let you find the right people to build an efficient Task Force adapted to your gaming habits. Just add your favorite players to your friend list and you will always be in good company when visiting the wildlands of Bolivia.

Once your personal profile is completed, the next step is creating a task force or joining an existing one. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands offers an immersive four-player co-op experience from the very beginning to the end, and task forces are born to take advantage of this feature. You can build yours from scratch, selecting a logo and a picture from a wide variety of options, a tag, a country, and even a message of the day. Recruit up to 100 more players and make them your brothers or sisters in arms, defeating the Santa Blanca cartel together and improving your stats in the process.

Of course, you can also join an existing task force that shares the same motivation as you. If you are a collector who likes gathering all resources and finishing all secondary missions, the powerful search function will let you find players with the same interests. Same goes for other interests like trophies and achievement hunting, tactical gameplay, or main mission completion. If you are looking for a great experience with players you can rely on, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Network is the place you need to go.

The Ghost Recon Network also offers a Calendar option so you can plan your next cooperative sessions easily. You will also be able to create events and save the ones you are interested in. The calendar function will additionally keep you updated about upcoming milestones related to the Ghost Recon universe, such as news and announcements.

GHOST RECON HQ, FIGHT FOR BOLIVIA EVERYWHERE YOU GO

The Ghost Recon Wildlands HQ is a free smartphone and tablet application for Android and iOS designed to enhance and complement your game experience. It will be available to download in your usual app store and you can use it as a second screen and social hub. You will also be able to play a mini-game called Guerrilla which will give you access to extra resources for your Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands characters. Download it for free and make a difference behind enemy lines!

Once installed, the News and Community section of the app will keep you updated on all the information you need to know, giving you direct access to events, news and user created content. You will also have a chat function to talk to your taskforce members and friends.

The Ghost Satellite View will provide you with real-time intelligence data on the battlefield while playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. After a quick synchronization with the main game, you will have access to a complete world map of Bolivia where you can check resources and intel locations, points of interest, a road map, and other key elements. Once you are about to enter the fray, use the tactical map to plan your assaults and ensure your Ghosts are placed in the best strategic spot.

In the Guerrilla mode, you will lead the rebels in their struggle against the Santa Blanca cartel. Recruit members for the resistance and send them in dangerous missions all around Bolivia so they can level up and face greater challenges, discovering their personal stories in the meantime. You will also have to check their stats to know about their strengths and weaknesses, and you will be able to equip them with useful items found scattered all around the map. Be careful when you make a decision though, because the rebels can end up wounded if they fail their mission. Play this prequel to the main game and discover how Karen Bowman prepared the arrival of the Ghosts.

Lastly, the CIA files will provide you with background information about the main characters and the situation in Bolivia before the arrival of the Ghosts. You will be able to know more about the country, the Santa Blanca cartel organization, the corrupt government forces, and the Ghosts themselves.

Also remember: you can still download and enjoy the Ghost Recon HQ app even if you don’t have access to the main game during the Closed Beta. You will be able to read the news and intel, play the Guerrilla missions, and gather resources for the future. Prepare yourself, Ghost, and once the moment arrives, the Santa Blanca cartel won’t stand a chance against your team.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands - UBI-Zuzu
During the events of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, the Ghosts arrive in Bolivia undercover, without official support from the US government. In the eyes of the world, they do not exist. However, the Ghosts are highly trained in covert ops, capable of operating in extremely hostile environments. They analyze their surroundings and act in concert looting weapons, mods, resources, and intel to become a lethal army of four.

According to Dominic Butler, our lead game designer, “The Ghosts are masters of their environments, and the skill system present in the game reflects that. You make your own Ghost from scratch and you have all the gameplay options available.”

As highly trained professionals, the Ghosts are capable of facing the most dangerous threats with efficiency, but some of the most protected enemy camps and fortresses will be a great challenge without some serious firepower and tech to back them up. The Santa Blanca Cartel and the Unidad forces protect their most vital points with impressive warfare tools such as anti-aircraft missiles, drone jammers, heavily armored guards, mini-gun outposts, and concrete walls, so facing them with no preparation wouldn’t be wise. To achieve the means needed to level the field, the skill system in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is oriented to give players additional tools and abilities to make your Ghost even more lethal in combat.

Of course, as in real life, finding valuable goods won’t be as easy as stepping over them. Additional weapon attachments are often located inside enemy camps under heavy surveillance, and the only way to find their exact location is interrogating cartel members or infiltrating the area to investigate. Also, picking up weapons from fallen enemies will be useful in a desperate moment, but if you really want to build and customize an impressive arsenal, you will have to raid some of the most dangerous places of Bolivia, such as the region of Espiritu Santo. That’s where you will find the best weapons and attachments.

In addition to the weapon upgrades, the Ghosts will have more than 40 skills available for unlocking, so choose the ones you enjoy the most. Every enemy marking, every kill and every mission completed will reward you with valuable experience for your Ghost, unlocking advanced options in the upgrade menu. But rewards don’t come out from thin air – you will need to acquire four kinds of resources such as food, gasoline, medication, and communication tools to build the tech. Players will have to find them around the map and invest in advanced upgrades. Resources are normally available around areas of interest, enemy camps, and towns, so exploring the map of Bolivia always has a reward. However, if you want a huge payday, you can also set up an ambush for one of Santa Blanca’s convoys, but be prepared for a tough fight against the guards protecting the vehicles.

There are plenty of skills that can adapt to your playstyle. For example, if you want some serious firepower to blow up an enemy outpost, the grenade launcher attachment for assault rifles would be the upgrade you need. If you prefer using the helicopter to jump from high altitude and silently drop behind enemy lines, investing in the parachute would be the perfect move. If you also enjoy creating mayhem from afar to distract the enemies, add the explosive upgrade to your drone.

The character evolution also affects the relationship of the Ghosts with the Kataris 26 rebels. Complete particular activities for them and you will gain their trust, increasing their support options and the frequency you can call on them for backup. The rebels will greatly expand your tactical options in combat. Among other things, they can act as guns for hire for the toughest firefights, can create distractions, drop vehicles, and even call for mortar strikes. It would be wise to create allies of them from time to time.

In the end, the decisions are up to you. Keep completing missions and exploring the map as you evolve and make your team unstoppable. The Santa Blanca Cartel will soon learn to fear the Ghosts.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands gives you total freedom of choice to determine how you want to face missions, objectives, and world exploration. To best show this flexible approach, this walkthrough demonstrates a campaign mission played from beginning to end. From the initial intelligence gathering to completing the final objective, this single player walkthrough, narrated by our lead game designer, Dominic Butler, will show you the many approaches and tools you can use to locate and extract a high-value target.

The mission is to extract La Santera, an influential spiritual leader of the Santa Blanca cartel, and get one step closer to ending the cartel’s terror over Bolivia. La Santera is a self-proclaimed priestess of the Santa Muerte, the sinister deity of death, and is one of the cartel’s most infamous and feared members. Rumors claim that she performed human sacrifices to appease the wrath of her goddess. She has become a primary target due to her position under the command of El Cardenal, the cartel’s head of Influence and personal spiritual advisor to the cartel’s leader, El Sueño. It seems like the latest intel gathered by the Ghosts gave them the exact location of La Santera, but extracting her won’t be an easy job.

Watch the video and discover all the tools and resources you will have at your disposal during missions: AI teammate commands, gunsmith modifications, sync shots, gadget upgrades, noise distractions, vehicle extractions. You also have total freedom to play the playstyle of choice whether it’s stealth attacks, carefully strategized tactics or guns blazing. Maria del Rocio Mendez, better known as La Santera, is a key piece of the Santa Blanca Cartel’s influence operation.

Growing up Catholic in Mexico, she was obsessed with the martyrs of Roman times. She convinced herself that it was the Church’s responsibility to cleanse the world of heretics.

When she was in her teens, she learned about Santa Muerte and became immediately fascinated by the belief that followers must repay Santa Muerte for their good luck or face punishments. Maria found herself drawn to the fact that many of Santa Muerte’s worshippers follow her in fear.

El Cardenal, head of religion and leader of Santa Blanca’s influence arm, found Maria leading her own Santa Muerte sanctuary. Maria had grown a sizable following. El Cardenal admired the way she used fear to manipulate her followers, and introduced her to cartel head, El Sueño. El Sueño enlisted her to share the message of Santa Muerte throughout Bolivia, and to use the fear she instills in order to keep the civilians in line with Santa Blanca Cartel’s interests.

Sam Strachman, our narrative director, had this to say about La Santera:

"If El Cardenal is the light, generous side of Santa Muerte, then La Santera is the dark, hedonism. She’s taken this Saint and twisted her into something sinister for Santa Blanca. She’s managed to convince her followers that if they want a spot in the afterlife, they must kill the cartel’s rivals. Through La Santera, the Santa Blanca Cartel manipulates Bolivian citizens’ fear and religion to strengthen their influence. She is an important, yet dark, source of power for the cartel’s operations."

Not much is known about Karen Bowman from her life before her operations in Bolivia. The name “Karen Bowman” itself is an unofficial cover name. The Ghosts themselves don’t know anything about her previous life, or her real name.

Bowman has been undercover as an employee of a fake non-profit organization in Bolivia for the past seven years. Her real job is managing an operation to destabilize the Santa Blanca Cartel. Her duties include meeting with informants and assets, along with intelligence work related to covert US military efforts in the provinces.

Karen Bowman is highly intelligent, and is dedicated to learning as much about drug trafficking organizations as possible. She sometimes takes her obsession with learning everything she can about her enemies to an extreme.

Sam Strachman, our narrative director, had this to say about Bowman:

What I love about Bowman is that she genuinely loves Bolivia. She loves the culture, the people, the history, the food, even the music. But she is also a true patriot. So over and over again, she finds herself torn in these two directions, between these two countries.”

Even though Bowman conducts herself in a very professional manner, she is tough and not above swearing like a sailor if she thinks it will help get her point across. Her drives are her work and getting missions accomplished. Karen Bowman is not one to discuss her personal life, and her non-work relationships tend to be intense, but few.
