Steep is getting challenge event seasons with unique rewards, starting next month
Steep™

Ubisoft's enormously enjoyable open-world winter sports game Steep will be getting special challenge event seasons, with their own exclusive rewards, starting next month.

The new system, known as Live Activities Seasons, tasks players with besting a variety of temporary challenges in order to win an exclusive set of gear. Different challenges award different parts of the unique gear, with a new gear set and new challenges being introduced every three months.

Season 1 of Ubisoft's new initiative begins on April 1st and runs until June 29th, with a second and third season planned for July to September and October to December respectively.

Live Activities - Season 1 Overview

As you may know, from April 2018, we are implementing our brand-new LIVE ACTIVITIES SEASONS system to STEEP – in order to provide you with more things to do in our mountains and reward you with exclusive items!

Here is below an overview of “how” and “when” you will be able to win these items and collect your full FREERIDE WORLD TOUR EQUIPMENT SET.



APRIL
Tournament
  • Pass the Qualifiers phase to win the goggles + gloves.
  • Pass the Competition phase to win the scarf.
  • Win the Final to win the skis + the snowboard.
Step Challenges
  • Reach Challenge 1st step to win the backpack.
  • Reach Challenge 2nd step to win the backpack + helmet.
  • Reach Challenge 3rd step to win the backpack + helmet + pants.
Completion Challenge
  • Achieve the Completion challenge to win the jacket.

Winter Update - What is new in Steep?

Dear STEEP Riders,

Please find below the highlights of the new patch we will deploy on all platforms on March 27th.


Infinite progression and bonus XP
We have removed the level 30 cap restriction. From then, you will be able to progress infinitely and get rewarded with Steep Credits every time you will reach a new level.

To support you, we have planned a series of temporary Bonus XP events – we will communicate on due time - so stay tuned: more info coming soon :)


Ranked mode
To make sure our Freestyle challenges leaderboards only feature true champions – we have added a ranked mode to our game.

From March 27th, we will reset all Freestyle challenges leaderboards and only players with ranked mode “ON” will be able to access those.

By playing ranked, you will have to score with a restricted amount of tricks at your disposal (specific to each challenge) - but that is what it takes to become a true champion right? :)

Grand Final: The Winners!

Congratulations to Bonecrusher2D and SNiiKx who respectively scored 01:56:996 and 54.433 on Downhill and Slopestyle - and won the Competitors Tournament Grand Final!

They will have the privilege to attend the Winter Olympics opening ceremony on February 9th and play Steep ahead of Men’s Slopestyle qualifiers on February 10th.
