Crush Crush - Sad Panda Studios
Hey everyone! This is our Black Friday update! We have a few new updates to the game, including typos, bug fixes and more. The store also has a sale on for the next 3 days ^_^

New Features
-Renamed some of the prestige and skip reset information and included new descriptions.
-Overhauled how the game gets information about store prices, etc. This allows us to run diamond sales and other events more easily.

Bug Fixes
-Lots of small typo fixes.
-Get the correct hobby names in the Stats section of each girl.
-Show 'Generica' instead of 'Ayano' notification when Ayano is first unlocked.
-Add commas in a few more places where we have space.
-Fix up some errors with shared WebGL code.
-Fix bug where 'New Time Unlocked' showed up after every Prestige, even when time did not unlock.
-Bump some of the UI around to help with adding commas.

Balance Tweaks
-Modified Ayano's prestige amounts.

Thanks again for being so awesome and supporting our game!! We hope you have a great weekend (eat lots of turkey, if that's your jam!). We'll be hard at work prepping the next two girls to launch sometime sooooon.

Happy Hallowe'en, Crush Crushers! We've got a very special update for you with a surprise we've been cooking up for a while. We skipped the Beta build and went straight to release with this one.

It is our pleasure (and horror) to introduce our first cameo character to Crush Crush:

Ayano "Yandere-Chan" Aishi - the lead character from the awesomely amazing game "Yandere Simulator"!!!

Holy smokes peeps, this is a serious treat and honour for us. We've been in touch with the creator of Yandere Simulator (the fabulous “Yandere-Dev”) for a few months, and he's been incredibly generous and supportive of us adding Ayano to Crush Crush. And now she’s here!

Story time! As many of you know, Crush Crush has a bunch of fun tropes and references throughout the game, and we knew for a long time that we wanted to add a “Yandere” character. All of us here at Sad Panda are absolutely in love with Yandere Simulator, so we put on our courage-pants and sent Yandere-Dev an email requesting permission to use her.

Well, he not only gave us permission, he’s been ridiculously helpful and trusting with us.

If you haven’t heard of Yandere Simulator - welcome to the Internet! Gosh, all this “online” stuff must be so strange and new. Anyway - please go check out Yandere Simulator. And check out Yandere-Dev’s YouTube channel, so you’ll get all of the inside jokes. (Seriously, his voice is so soothing, it gives us the vapors).

Ayano is a very different character from the other girls in Crush Crush. You might notice a few things… off about her. You might notice a few interesting Easter eggs too. Let us know what you think of her!

Be warned - Ayano has a very aggressive balance structure compared to the other girls, so don’t expect her to play by your rules, yo.

Also in this build are a few other changes and improvements:

New Features
  • Spookified date backgrounds added for this week! They'll be taken down after Hallowe'en :)
  • Added a new girl! We hope you like her.
  • Minor balance tweaks

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bunch of typos.
  • Changed 'atone' to say 'sorry' to be easier on non-English speaking players
  • Improved the autosave

So that’s the spooky-deets, my friends. Let us know how you’re doing, and have a Happy Hallowe'en!

    Love you hard,

Big Announcement!

Sad Panda is very proud to announce that Crush Crush is now out of early access! We’re fully launched on Steam! Hooray!

*clinking champagne glasses and flirty giggles*

“But wait!” (I hear you say) “What’s different? Why did you launch it? How does it impact… well anything?”

I’m glad you asked. The reason we launched it as an official release is because we’re pleased with its stability and its metrics, and we’re super happy about its fans. We’re basically at the point where we’re confident in our ability to update the game, and everything we’re working on next is the juicy fun stuff.

So if you’re wondering what’s different *this week*, please hold onto your stockings for just a short bit. We wanted to launch the game ahead of our next update, to ensure everything is peachy keen.

So a better question would be: what’s coming up next?

Well, here’s a short list of announcements.

  1. Next week (sometime, don’t ask which day), we’ll be adding a new girl character that we’ve kept secret from EVERYONE (including our Patreon Pandas). I don’t want to spoil the surprise here, but I have two small hints for you. This girl is being added now partially to celebrate Halloween, and is actually our first *cameo* character! This special girl is from a completely different game! WHA?!
  2. Next month - we’ve got a bunch of girls lined up that will continue to build on the “Dark Portal” idea! In fact, these girls will form the “End Game” for the game, and we’ve got a quirky storyline idea that we’re putting together. So from now to December, expect at least something cool every month.
  3. We’ve also got some non-video-game stuff in the works. You know, merch and stuff. We’re eager to get our hands on it though because we want to start doing giveaways and shtuff. Swag! Watch our @crushcrushDX twitter for contests happening soon.

Now - an important thing to note! Just because we’re in full release, doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear your ideas, concerns or troubles. Please keep giving us amazing feedback! Your suggestions are a huge part of how we figure out what we’re working on next, so don’t be shy.

We’re really excited right now! There’s a ton of cool stuff to look forward to, and we’re super anxious and honestly some of us have a tummy ache because we’re so excited. We hope you’ll continue to enjoy Crush Crush, and stick with us as we forge ahead.

Love you all so hard.

Hey everyone :)

If you've been following the forums you know we've been super busy with launches on new platforms. We're very excited to keep the Steam version up to date, and today is the day we bring the latest features to the PC, Mac and Linux platforms.

We have some awesome new content in the works, and clearing this backlog of bugs has been instrumental to getting that new content ready to be deployed. We have more than 4 ladies currently under development, and we're excited to get them in the game shortly!

One of the largest changes is to how we load certain assets on demand. This allows us to use a bit less memory, and to swap assets easier using external files/remotely stored assets on the web/etc. This will enable us to patch the game with different artwork if necessary. You can read the full list of changes below :)

New Features
  • You can now resize the window when in windowed mode. Some people have computers/monitors that don't support our 16:10 or 16:9 aspect ratio, which causes visual distortion. Now you can resize to a resolution that makes sense to you when in windowed mode!
  • Lots of new dialogue once you reach lover level with the girls, including new gift, greet, talk and poke chit chat.
  • Do a better job at showing when outfits will become available (they'll become available at lover level).
  • You can now buy a diamond ring, which unlocks the wedding dress outfit.

Bug Fixes
  • Add in some dialogue for Nina that was missing.
  • Fixed a bunch of typos (achievement names, duplicate achievement names, Luna, Bonnibel and others).
  • Fixed a LONG standing bug where offline progress for jobs was calculated incorrectly.
  • Fix a glitch that was causing some introductions to not load correctly (only sometimes ... and I'm looking at you, Elle).
  • Fixed a bug that didn't allow the x64 multiplier to be purchased.
  • Fix a bug that can cause the 'likes you lot' pose to flash very quickly and then disappear when changing outfits.
  • Minor changes to Eva's dialogue.
  • Fix typos in the introduction text (non-ASCII single-quote was used).
  • Make sure to check if a session has timed out. If it has, then log back in with a new session. This will fix games not saving after the client has been open 24 hours or more on web. Steam appears to be unaffected, but better safe than sorry.
  • Fixed a LONG standing issue where some girls would be cleared when loading from a cloud save. Hopefully this fixes all of our save/load issues via cloud.
  • Fixed a bug that wouldn't enforce some of Eva's requirements.
  • Wizard job payouts would overflow the UI, so they've been scaled appropriately.
  • Fix number of iterations to level up the Restaurant job from Server to Barista.

Balance Tweaks
  • Modified Luna's requirements a bit, since the new cost of gifts is very high.
  • Reduce the requirements on the hobby achievement, since it isn't possible to get lvl 80 hobbies yet.
  • Final items for Alpha and Bearverly will fill half of their heart affection.
  • Softened Cassie's early requirements, and made Iro a tiny bit more difficult.

Thanks for playing Crush Crush!

Hi everyone!

We're proud to move our latest 0.48 release out of beta and into full release. Hopefully you have as much fun playing as we have had developing! There's a ton of new stuff in this release, alongside a new balance system for many of the girls, hobbies, jobs and prestige!

New Features
  • A new girl is unlocked!
  • Rehauled the achievements page, reducing the amount of clutter and grouping things together.
  • Updated to the latest version of Unity
  • Started using asset bundling, which helps with file size and loading speed. This is about 20% complete, there's still a long ways to go!

Bug Fixes
  • Fix Eva requirements to not require diamonds.
  • Fix low res image on Eva in the Steam branch.
  • Do not show progress bars on achievements that have already been earned.
  • Fix cost of plushy toy and tea set.
  • Fix a bug that causes hobbies that max out to cancel progress on an adjacent hobby.
  • Update to Unity 5.4.1 to fix particle effects not having a random seed.
  • Fix a (hilarious) bug that would cause the girl to wander of the screen if you poked her quickly.
  • Fix a bug that caused Linux to not load asset bundles properly (let me know if this works).
  • Fix a typo in Fumi's heart requirements.
  • Fix a typo in Pamu's dialog.
  • Hide outfits that are not yet available.

Balance Tweaks
  • OjiPanda basically changed everything, and there's a post about it here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/459820/discussions/1/343785574518510700/
  • Slowed down the auto-heart generation by 3x.
  • Slightly reduced the chat heart strength.
  • Adjusted some of the jobs so that they take a bit longer to level up.
  • Changed the hobby times to be slightly longer (using an exponent of 1.425 instead of 1.4).
  • Skip reset no longer clears your pending prestige - so you could hit it as many times as you like, accumulating that prestige (assuming you have the diamonds to spend). This should make skip reset a lot more powerful.

Happy gaming! Send us a message via Steam or to support@sadpandastudios.com if you run into any issues with the new build.
