We recently pushed a small update to our Spooky update (Version: 0.93.1.d617e0). We fixed a bug with stereo audio in multiplayer rooms, so keep an ear out for that!

Today, we’re kicking off Halloween Week in Bigscreen and releasing “The Spooky Update” featuring new TV channels and a new Retro Cinema environment.



Earlier this summer, we released the huge Bigscreen TV update and the fan-favorite Modern Cinema. Today, we’re adding the Retro Cinema, designed as a throwback to the theaters of the 70s & 80s.



For the next week, we have added 10 spooky TV channels from Pluto to the featured list. Join the event in Bigscreen… if you dare!

New TV channels include Fear Factor, Disney Channel, The Addams Family, the Asylum, Criss Angel: Mind Freak, Thrillers, Terror, and more.



This update also has a few bug fixes and improvements:

• fixed the microphone echo issue affecting Oculus Quest users
  
• made “Push to Talk” an optional feature on Oculus Quest (this will be available to all users in the future)
  
• added the “high fives” feature to Distraction-Free Mode

In December, we will begin hosting premium 3D movie screenings in partnership with major movie studios, and more.

We’re also working on launching a Friends system and Sony Playstation VR support in 2020.

Halloween Week is starting next week on Thursday, October 24 in Bigscreen, and we're launching a killer list of new spooky channels and our brand new Retro Cinema environment.

We accidentally forgot to turn off the lights for our mobile VR headset users (Quest, Go, and Gear VR) in our Bigscreen TV rooms. The latest patch (Version: 0.92.2.e4e93f) should fix that!

NASA's ICON mission is scheduled to launch today, so be sure to hop into Bigscreen and watch it live with other enthusiasts!

An air-launched Northrop Grumman Pegasus XL rocket will deploy NASA’s Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) satellite into orbit. ICON will study the ionosphere, a region of Earth’s upper atmosphere where terrestrial weather meets space weather.

Launch update🚀: Thunderstorms are rolling in over Launch Complex 1, but forecasts show a brief reprieve late in the week. As such, we're currently targeting no earlier than Thursday 17 Oct UTC for the launch of our 9th Electron mission, 'As The Crow Flies'.

A Rocket Lab Electron rocket will launch on its ninth flight from a facility on the Mahia Peninsula on New Zealand’s North Island. The Electron rocket and its Curie upper stage will place the Palisade CubeSat into orbit for Astro Digital on a technology demonstration mission. Palisade is a 16U CubeSat with an on-board propulsion system and a next-generation communications system. The mission is nicknamed “As The Crow Flies.”

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is expected to launch the second batch of approximately 60 satellites for SpaceX’s Starlink broadband network, a mission designated Starlink 1. Watch this live in VR!

Hey everyone,

Patch #5 is now available! There were just some minor bug fixes that should not affect how you use Bigscreen today, but just make sure to update so that you'll be on the same version as everyone else!

• 007 - Films of the action, cars and shaken (not stirred) martinis of the world’s greatest spy, James Bond, available 24/7.
  
• Flicks of Fury - The fists and flips will be coming fast and furious on Pluto's exclusively martial arts movies channel.

A new update was just pushed! It contains several small fixes and an important one where some users were unable to launch Bigscreen properly:

• Fixed a few missing icons
  
• Fixed a black screen on launch
  
• Voice indicator improvements
  
• Blocked user's popcorn should not be visible anymore

We forgot to mention this in the previous update, but if you haven't figured it out yet, Distraction Free Mode will hide popcorn, paint, some user-movement sounds, and the newly implemented voice indicator icon. You can find this option under Settings > Multiplayer > Distraction Free Mode:
