What's new:
  • Workers Experience

Workers Experience
Workers can now get more skilled with time! For each working day at your gold mine (counted on midnight), they gain +1% performance. When the worker reaches maximum performance for a particular Tier, the Upgrade option is unlocked, which allows upgrading the worker to the next Tier. The Upgrade itself doesn't increase the performance.

Store Sales
Once in every 1-3 days, a random part in each store will be on sale. The sales are independent for both stores (machines and equipment) and can happen on different days. Items are on sale only in physical stores (in other words: there will be no discounts on the laptop).
Discount range:
  • Machine Store - 10-25%
  • Equipment Store - 15-30%
Players will be informed about the sale via prompt (upper left) with information about items name and discount.

Changelog:
  • Added Store Sales (described above).
  • Added Worker's Experience (described above).
  • Retraining Workers is no longer random. When selecting the Retrain option, a specializations list will appear. Each specialization has a different price - the more complex the machine, the higher the price. If the worker was on a higher Tier than the 1st one, he/she will lose the percentage of performance equal to one Tier.
  • Updated DigTube videos.
  • Reworked particle effects of campfire and machines smoke.
  • If not used, Batteries now lose durability during winter.
  • Added possibility to order drill services on random spots via Laptop.
  • Icons of broken parts now also appear over broken parts, which lay on the ground.
  • Fixes of achievements, which rely on statistics.

We have just released a new patch. Check out the full changelog:
  • Fixed bug shaking fuel hose while refueling.
  • Fixed bug with the water network getting disabled when leaving the claim.
  • Fixed Big Generator's lights bug - they no longer turn off after loading the save game.
  • Fixed electric wires' material in the Town.
  • Reduced items' bounce and increased friction when in the Transport Crate.
  • Fixed incorrect button animation.
  • Fixed Dump Truck piston's outline.
  • Fixed Dump Truck piston's removal animation.
  • Fixed Dump Truck's double piston durability bug.

Hello Players!

We are aware that some of you might be experiencing crashes since the last Update. From your reports, we are able to suspect it has something to do with AMD Radeon GPUs and new Unity update. We're now in contact with AMD to resolve this issue.
To help us deal with the problem, we'd kindly ask those of you who have AMD Radeon GPUs to send us an e-mail at bugs@goldrush-thegame.com (Title: AMD Crash) with the following files:
- output_log,
- error.log,
- crash.dmp,
- video of the crash.

Here's how to find them:

Output_log
• Press the Windows key and R to bring up the 'Run' box.
• Enter the following without the quotes '%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\CodeHorizon\GoldRushTheGame'

Error.log, crash.dmp
Once the game crashes, it will provide a log file, which can be found by following the steps below:
• Press the Windows key and R to bring up the 'Run' box.
• Enter the following without the quotation marks: "%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\CodeHorizon\GoldRushTheGame\Crashes"
• The crash folder will have the name of a date for example - 2018-02-12_151020 
Important: restarting the game will delete the crash log files.

or alternatively:
• Press the Windows key and R to bring up the 'Run' box.
• Enter the following without the quotation marks: "%temp%\CodeHorizon\GoldRushTheGame\Crashes"

Leaderboards Season 2
Compete against other Players to become one of the greatest mine bosses! Now with the new Seasonal Gold parameter.


Overseer
The new worker is here to help you manage your gold mine more effectively. Get notifications when parts reach low durability or when Wash Plant elements (like mats) are full. Find out more about Tier 1-3 effects below.


Reinforced Parts
All breakable parts received their reinforced substitutes. They last longer, but come with greater costs.


Transport Crate
Meet the Transport Crate - the greatest convenience item since the invention of the microwave. With this new equipment, you will be able to hold and carry multiple items at once.


Parts Analyzer
Allows you to easily check the current durability of selected parts. Simply approach the working machine and select Parts Analyzer.

Internet Radio integration
Listen to your favorite streaming radios while digging!

Changes:
  • Added the reinforced set of breakable parts, which have greater durability, but also a greater price. They can be distinguished by a different color. Players can now choose to use more expensive parts, which will last longer. Reinforced parts are available in the Store.
  • Added Wooden Crates. Players can use them to carry multiple items at the same time.
  • Added new Tool: Parts Analyzer, which can be used to check the durability of the part it points at.
  • Added new Worker: Overseer (see Tier 1-3 effects below).
  • Added new random events (see the full list below).
  • Added internet radio integration. Check out the guide above to learn how to activate it.
  • Pickup Truck is now moved next to the player after being teleported to the Hotel when Permafrost hits.
  • Pickup Truck no longer breaks when the Permafrost hits.
  • The Headlight lightning now works as Flashlight, but with greater brightness. You can carry the equipment with the Headlight on.
  • Removed Flashlight from the toolbar.
  • Changed default Tools' changing to mouse's scroll wheel.
  • Magnetite Separator stops processing dirt when the bucket is full (just like the Gold Nuggetator).
  • Added 12-hour game time display option in the Settings -> Game -> Clock Time.
  • Added information about the fuel consumption to the Store.
  • Added a new button to the Generator: Start All.
  • Workers are paid at midnight.
  • Loan daily payments are collected at midnight.
  • Statistics are checked at midnight, no matter at what time they are displayed to the Player.
  • The randomization of workers in Retrain Workers option now works as drawing a new one (from the pool of available machines).
  • Added the possibility of the Fuel Station running out of fuel.
  • Added prompt informing about the engine being turned off when trying to use Excavator's arm.
  • Made it possible to enter the Power Generator without jumping.
  • Changed Map's moving icons.
  • Added new valves to Water Towers.
  • Adjusted pan's collider to fit the bowl more accurately.
  • Added Fuel Tank's opening sound.
  • Added the possibility to open Fuel Tank's cap.
  • Small Electric Water Pump's cap is now automatically opened before refueling.
  • Added closing animations to lids and caps.
  • Added new notification when the engine has been turned off but the lights are still on.
  • Changed Magnetite's selling prompt text.
  • Reduced the required amount of cables being attached in one of the Tutorial tasks from 4 to 3.
  • Changed Wash Plant's elements snapping during setup on the Easy Mode. The correct rotation of the element is no longer necessary.
  • Added more markers in the Tutorial to the Trommel, the Bank during the
  • Claim upgrade task, the Front-End Loader, Duplex Jig buckets, and ST Sluicebox buckets.
  • Added new Tutorial task, which requires Players to sell the Gold Bar in the Tutorial.
  • Changed wording in keybindings for the Excavator: one part of the Bucket has been renamed to Thumb, Big Arm to Boom, and Small Arm to Stick.
  • Adjusted tree branch on Old Arnold's small digging site.
  • Added Tool icons and associated keybindings to the in-game Show Controls menu.
  • Limited fuel stations nozzle's hose length.
  • Disabled random events in the tutorial.
  • ST Sluicebox is now the first equipment to be set up in the tutorial.
  • Pickup Truck no longer uses fuel in the tutorial until the first refueling.
  • Added Romanian Pickup Truck skin.
  • Added Leaderboards Pickup Truck skin to Top10 Players accounts.

Leaderboards Season 2
For the second season of gold mining competition, we are adding a new parameter: best Gold per Season ratio (Seasonal Gold). The game will count the highest amount of gold dug during any of the in-game seasons (full year). The score will be updated whenever Player gets a better score, so it will be continuously updated during the first in-game season, and then it will start updating again when Player reaches better score than during the first in-game season.
In other words, Players will now be competing in two leaderboards (Max Gold and Seasonal Gold), and the TOP10 lists may differ depending on the parameter. Winners will again be rewarded with a new special vehicle skin.
  • In Leaderboards Mode, the gold gathered in buckets will be counted towards the current season's Seasonal Gold value. This will prevent gold from being stored in buckets for the subsequent seasons in order to get better results.
  • Added option to switch the display between to parameters: Overall Amount of Gold Dug and Gold/Season Ratio.
  • Leaderboards are now scrollable.

Overseer:
  • Tier 1: Shows notification when the part reaches 0.3 durability. Adds a Yellow version of the outline when below 0.3 and not yet destroyed (if Overseer's performance equals 100%). Prevents equipment theft random event from happening.
  • Tier 2: Adds Red ray over the destroyed machine to be more noticeable from far away. Increases the Outline visibility range of destroyed/almost destroyed parts by x2,5 (if Overseer's performance equals 100%). Decreases the chance of bear attacking the cables and workers by 50% (if Overseer's performance equals 100%).
  • Tier 3: Adds notification when any element of the Wash Plant system is full. Makes parts outline gradually change their color depending on their current durability. Decreases the chance of bear attacking the cables and workers by 100% (if Overseer's performance equals 100%).

New random events
Every day there's a 5% chance that one of the new random events will occur at 4 am (or when the Player gets up). Each of the events has its own chance factor of happening, meaning that if a random event is triggered, some events will be more likely to occur than others:
  • Theft of a single random part from a machine - 10%.
  • Destruction of a single part from a machine - 10%.
  • Theft of the fuel (emptying the fuel tank) - 15%.
  • A single random employee quits - 25%.
  • Theft of 5% of gathered Gold (gathered during a single day) - 10%.
  • Theft of 10% of earned Money - 0% (the event can no longer happen).
  • Laptop's malfunction - it does not work for a single day - 25%.
  • No fuel on the Fuel Station - not possible to use it for a single day - 5%.
In other words: there is a 5% chance every day that a random event will occur. If it does, there is a 25% chance that it will be a laptop's malfunction, 10% chance that it will be a Part's Theft, etc.

Balance:
  • Decreased Bank loan interest rate.
  • Decreased Excavator's fuel usage.
  • Adjusted Excavators' and Front-End Loader's buckets. Big Excavator's bucket has a capacity of 2 Small Excavators' buckets. Front-End Loader's bucket has a capacity of 4 Small Excavators' buckets.
  • Increased Front-End Loader's fuel usage.
  • Increased Big Excavator's movement by 15%.
  • Increased Big Excavator's hydraulic speed by 10%.
  • Decreased Big Excavator's price.
  • Decreased Front-End Loader's reverse movement speed by 20%.
  • Increased Front-End Loader's price.
  • Decreased Bulldozer's fuel consumption.
  • Decreased Bulldozer's price.
  • Increased T3/T4/T5 machine prices.
  • Increased Frankenstein's price.
  • Decreased Dump Truck's price.
  • Increased Excavator Teeth's durability.
  • Increased Wheels' durability.
  • Increased Hydraulic Hoses' durability (for the Bulldozer, Small Excavator, and Big Excavator).
  • Increased Battery's durability.
  • Increased Magnetite Separator's Hose durability.
  • Increased Wave Table's Jets durability.
  • Increased River's water pressure distance.
  • Increased Blacksmith upgrades' price.
  • Increased Water's price.
  • Increased Gold Nugettator's price.
  • Increased the amount of gold at Rich Spots on claims.
  • Decreased the amount of gold at regular spots on claims.
  • Increased claims' rent prices (except Old Arnold's).
  • Increased claims' prices.
  • Decreased claims' rent provision rate (except Old Arnold's).
  • Decreased the frequency of breakdowns on Normal difficulty.
  • Decreased Mobile Wash Plant Worker's cost multiplier.
  • Increased ST Sluicebox Worker's cost multiplier.
  • Increased T-DJ Sluicebox Worker's cost multiplier.
  • Decreased Bulldozer Worker's cost multiplier.
  • Increased Drill Worker's cost multiplier.
  • Increased Mechanic's cost multiplier.
  • Mechanic now charges X percent of particular part's cost for X percent of the part fixed. There is no longer a flat rate per the percentage of the part fixed.
  • Decreased Worker's retraining cost.
  • Decreased the chance of bear attacking the cable.
  • Minor Tutorial balance changes.

Fixes & Optimization:
  • Added culling to machines, which are out of sight (optimization).
  • Disabled Trommel, Shaker, and Duplex Jig animations when out of sight (optimization).
  • Reduced machine computations for the machines, which are currently not being used (optimization).
  • Hoses and cables optimization.
  • Fixed blinking tree shadows.
  • The hoses are now reset if they fell below the ground level. They are transferred to the shelves near the storage area.
  • Adjusted the initial position of the bowl to make it possible to lower the pan from the beginning without moving it (on the gamepad).
  • Fixed dirt's texture in buckets.
  • Corrected specifications in the laptop.
  • Trees' shadows are now dependent on graphics settings.
  • Fixed gold bar purchase double-press bug on a gamepad.
  • Fixed option to close Laptop by pressing on a gamepad.
  • Fixed Laptop's purchase prompt on a gamepad.
  • Fixed bug with inability to leave DigTube after loading the game on a gamepad.
  • Fixed Map's square selection bug on a gamepad.
  • Fixed Tutorial bug, which prevented the Transport Vehicle task from being completed on the gamepad.
  • Enabled Water Tower in the tutorial.
  • Fixed trees shadow issues when rotating the camera.
  • Changed one of tutorial quest task's requirements: it is now necessary to connect 4 cables to the generator.
  • Changed one of tutorial quest task's requirements: Magnetite Separator's task is now completed when the bucket is full.
