Co-op Kitchen Calamity In Overcooked This August

Team 17 have upped their publishing game in recent years, grabbing as many indie cubs from the wild as possible and nursing them to adulthood. Overcooked [official site] by Ghost Town Games is one of those little nibblers. It’s a co-op cooking game for up to 4 players. You have to work together to prepare food for hungry customers before they get miffed and leave your restaurant unsatisfied. It’s coming out on August 3, the creators have announced. Come check out the release trailer and see what happens when too many cooks (too many cooks>) spoil the broth.

In the campaign you’ll have to travel across space and thyme, quite literally, on your quest to become the ultimate top chef capable of saving the endangered Onion Kingdom! Take on a wide range of unusual kitchens including street festivals, pirate ships, food trucks, haunted houses, frozen realms, fiery volcanoes and outer space! You’ll have to cook a range of different dishes and work together in order to become the most effective and ultimate team. Gouda luck!



Overcooked features:

• 28 standard campaign levels plus an additional introductory level and final boss to conquer!
• Local co-op play for 1 to 4 players across all campaign levels!
• 9 versus levels to go head to head locally with either 2 or 4 players
• A range of different and unusual kitchens to play across with different recipes to master, cook soup, burritos, burgers and fish and chips
• 14 different chefs to play as!
• 11 achievements to cook up

Overcooked Joins Team17’s Games Label!

Things are hotting up in the Team17 kitchen as today we are excited to announce our partnership with Cambridge based independent developer Ghost Town Games to publish the chaotic, couch co-op cooking game, Overcooked, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

“We’re really excited to be working with Team17 to help us release Overcooked. We’ve been working on the game for over a year now and it’s just great to have the help and support of a team with 25 years’ experience that has as much love for local multiplayer gaming as we do!” added Phil Duncan, Designer and Co-Founder at Ghost Town Games.

The Onion Kingdom is in danger and only the finest cooking can save it! In Overcooked players must journey through a variety of cruel and unusual kitchens on their quest to become master chefs capable of conquering an ancient edible evil which plagues the land. Play solo or engage in classic, chaotic couch co-op for up to four players in both co-operative and competitive challenge modes. You’ll have to cook a range of different dishes and work together in order to become the most effective and ultimate team!

EGX Rezzed Top 20

Really pleased to announce Overcooked was voted the 4th best game at EGX Rezzed 2016 (#1 Indie game overall !!) by attendees of the show.

We're absolutely stunned to be up in the top 5 with the likes of Sony, Microsoft, Bandai Namco and Sega. Not bad for a two-person indie studio : )

Too Many Cooks: The Chaotic Kitchens Of Overcooked

Lurking in the RPS Tunnel Of Awesome (did we officially call it that?) at Rezzed was Overcooked [official site] a co-op cooking game which has you work with other player-chefs to create delicious dishes in a chaotic kitchen.

I sort of wanted to get all of the RPS team in attendance Adam, Jim, John and me to play a round but given how competitive I get in Cook, Serve Delicious which I play ALONE maybe my employment would have been at risk.

Instead, I played with three strangers and then lurked like a cookery creeper to watch others.
