World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

What's that rumble? Why is the ground on all maps trembling? Since when do two-story buildings drive around battlefields mowing down innocent tanks?

Stop panicking! This is not an assault of titans. It's the new German Premium VK 168.01 (P), which has joined the battle. A massive, heavily armored tank equipped with a 128 mm club of a gun, this tank gives "heavy" a whole new meaning.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhpN0zR1m2g
Hurry up to the in-game Store till August 2 and buy yourself a bundle: the VK 168.01 (P) with the Hardy Rare camouflage and full equipment or just the VK 168.01 with a Garage slot. Enjoy the might of this German behemoth at your disposal and swat away enemies like bugs!

A steel titan joins the battle!

The VK 168.01 (P) represents one of the projects preceding the emergence of the most monstrous creation of German tank building, the legendary Maus. That explains the similar characteristics these vehicles share, with adjustments for the differences in tiers:

The Titan's Armor

The VK 168.01 (P) amply justifies the title of a super heavy tank. Its front is protected with 180 mm of armor on the hull and 230 mm on the turret. No wonder many enemy shells fail to damage this steel giant. The enemy might as well be attacking it with a bow and arrow or throwing tennis balls!

Its sturdy sides with supplementary screens over the double tracks help the VK 168.01 (P) absorb damage even more effectively by sidescraping. The same is true for the turret. Take a hint from the experienced Maus-keepers and turn the turret a little to the side in between shots.

No self-respecting colossus will enter battle without giving the enemy a chance to win. That's why the armor of the VK 168.01 (P) has several weak spots. It's nothing new: the lower armor plate, the commander's cupola, and the machine gun nest will help a skilled opponent even the odds in this epic showdown.

The Giant's Club

The impressive gun of the VK 168.01 (P) indeed resembles a heavy club. Its 16-second-long backswing is followed by a somewhat inaccurate, but highly devastating 460 HP blow!

The penetration is high enough to pierce the frontal armor of most Tier VII–VIII vehicles. Even if the main armor doesn't cave, the shells are guaranteed to deliver damage to weak spots. Fighting Tier IX armored tanks will be harder, but that's when the APCR shells capable of 390 HP of damage will come in handy.

Thanks to its configuration characteristics, the VK 168.01 (P) has a good chance of succeeding in a toe-to-toe clash with other heavies. The lower armor plate or the commander's cupola will stay unreachable to most adversaries. Tanks with a more road-hugging hull simply won't see it, while the tall VK 168.01 (P) can leisurely hurl shells at the lightly protected roofs of enemy turrets.

Head-on clashes are still a risky tactic. If a low vehicle sneaks up on the giant's side, shaking off the enemy will be a real struggle. It's either the allies that will come to the rescue or the nearest rock that can help get the pesky enemy off.

A highly placed gun provides the VK 168.01 (P) with another advantage that is not so obvious in a close encounter. At a distance of 7 to 20 meters, the sloped armor of enemy vehicles doesn't seem so sloped anymore. Without the slope, even the strongest armor plate won't stand against this new tank's powerful blows!

The Terrestrial Dreadnought

When the VK 168.01 (P) rolls forward, it feels like a heavily armored battleship is leaving the pier. It travels across distances slowly, with the grandeur of a dreadnought conscious of its power, leaving the hustle and bustle to smaller tanks.

However, it would be unjust to complain about the VK 168.01 (P)'s low speed. This monster weighs 168 tons! It's a miracle this giant is able to move at all. A huge 1,600 horsepower engine takes care of that business. And this enormous power is not wasted. Whatever the road conditions, the speedometer will almost always display the maximum of 20 km/h!

It's difficult to say goodbye to your dreams, but for this tank, a future figure skating career isn’t exactly written in the stars. Still, the VK 168.01 (P)'s maneuverability turns out to be better in practice than one would expect at first. The traverse speed is enough to prevent the enemy from targeting vulnerable points. The ability to turn on the spot adds to the shooting comfort and ease of maneuvering around narrow streets and other covers.

But you better not drive this new tank into the open field. Enemy tanks will whirl around you and shoot. But with any cover nearby, any quick-footed fan of outmaneuvering will most likely stumble, and the total traverse and turret turning speed of the VK 168.01 will suffice to deliver a heavy retaliatory hit to the racer!

It's only in fairy tales that giants are easily defeated by sagacity and deftness. There's only one piece of advice that can help if you meet the VK 168.01 (P) in battle: run for your life tracks!

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Among the greatest accomplishments of the Defender series of tanks was that they did their job: there isn’t anyone out there who doesn’t know of the IS-3 Defender or T28 Defender. Even though they were classified, the technology used in them as well as their combat capabilities have inspired and caught the attention of many. And it’s not just idle curiosity…

Recently, Elona Muskonskaya, head of the largest technology corporation Hybrid Nation, announced that in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the start of global tank competitions, three Premium vehicles will be available, along with attachments for each. Moreover, these new vehicles will be among the prizes for drawings, so any of the celebration’s guests will be able to acquire them!

The Lineup

Elona took a sly peek into the folder that contained all the plans for the next day’s presentation. She will utter the words, “Everyone needs a Defender!”, and the lights will go out on stage. When the lights are turned back on, people will see three magnificent tanks, all with the latest tech, a formidable look, and almost silent electric drives. Welcome the Hybrid Nation’s Y5 Series tanks!

These three vehicles are united by the light hull taken from the speedy Cromwell, a powerful electric engine, a high power-to-weight ratio, and a “nuclear reactor” kit in an expanded configuration.

Y5 T-34—the entry-level model, which is equipped with a T-34 turret. It features a powerful cannon with a mix of quick aiming time and high damage per shot, but a low rate of fire. The penetration is good enough to hit targets in any high-maneuver battle. Plus, the gun offers 10 degrees of gun depression, so you can take advantage of the terrain. The cherry on top is its small turret, making it hard for enemies to hit it!

Y5 Firefly—the mid-range model of the Y5 Series. You’ll find a modified Sherman Firefly turret mounted. This vehicle can reach speeds of up to 55 km/h, is highly maneuverable, and wields a fast-firing weapon capable of dealing significant damage per minute. The gun also has a great angle of depression, which comes in handy when trying to preserve your precious hit points!

Y5 ELC bis—the top model with a reinforced turret taken right from the AMX ELC bis. The most dynamic and speedy vehicle in the series. According to the stats, it’s (almost) a light tank. Its near-instant acceleration, easy handling, and a quick-turning turret allow commanders to always keep enemy vehicles in their sights. Its cannon fires every 4 seconds and boasts one of the best DPMs. Combine everything above with decent accuracy and you’re guaranteed hurricane-like battles, flanking maneuvers, stealthy captures of key points, and whirling around slow opponents with deadly consequences (for them).

The “Nuclear Reactor” attachment is one of the corporation’s unique developments. A compact device that is added to the engine and increases the operational range of tanks to no end.

A variety of tiers, high mobility, good maneuverability, and impressive firepower make the Y5 Series tanks the perfectly flexible and precise set of tools to help you achieve your goals. The first Y5 vehicles you can get for free by just completing the tasks during the upcoming celebration!

The announcement caused a stir, especially behind the doors of the secret labs and special services in charge of the production and combat usage of the “Defenders”. It’s safe to say questioning went on and on. It seemed to be never-ending. How did the Hybrid Nation make such a technological breakthrough? Why are these vehicles so similar to the “Defenders”? How did they manage to build a tank with both an electric drive and a nuclear reactor? Most importantly, who leaked the information? There’s no information as of yet. Someone covered their tracks very well…

The Stolen Secrets of the “Defenders”

Underneath the skyscraper that serves as the headquarters of Hybrid Nation lies a huge bunker. A deafening roar emanates from within, and the air is bluish with powder gases. If it weren’t for the high ceiling and electric lighting, this huge indoor military polygon would have looked like a real battlefield.

Elona watched in satisfaction as the final tests were conducted on the Y5 tanks. They say that nothing ever goes according to plan. Well, this might be the exception that proves the rule. Behind armored glass, the witnesses of the final tests could see these tanks effortlessly destroying real tank targets! But it’s not to say that it’s been easy. After all, she invested much into getting hold of the “Defenders” secrets.

One Chassis, Various Turrets

It was unexpectedly easy to get the basic parts: a batch of Cromwell chassis and the various turrets from different tanks were allegedly acquired to be smelted.

The armor of the chassis isn’t the strongest. It’s possible for almost any enemy to penetrate the 65 mm of frontal armor. But thanks to it being lightweight, the engine can reach high speeds and the chassis allows for decent maneuverability. For both the customers and Hybrid Nation itself, mobility often means much more than armor. After all, who said “Defenders” were only meant to defend?

The acquired turrets were divided into tiers depending on their mass and the weapon mounting options. The tank of the lowest tier got a small T-34 turret with a slow, but powerful weapon. The Tier VI tank housed the Sherman Firefly turret, known for its balanced defense and weaponry. And finally, the top-tier vehicle got the reinforced AMX ELC bis turret—light, low-silhouetted, and boasting a gun with a supersonic rate of fire!

“Defender” Technology

Collecting all the parts, photos, and blueprints of the “Defenders” was no small feat, causing a real headache. Many methods were tried and tested: bribery, espionage, eavesdropping, and even borrowing without permission.

If you knew something about the “Defenders”, no matter how big or small, you could earn a decent living because, in the end, all the screws, fragments of armor, hatch valves, and more had to be known. The most important and valuable parts were fetched by the rusty Scavengers. Taking advantage of the turmoil of battle, these vehicles crewed by madmen dismantled wrecked tanks during the fight and went about unnoticed.

The Electric Motor

The Scavengers managed to dig up enough parts to help out, and even an engine made it to Hybrid Nation’s labs in one piece. However, just because the corporation’s employees had the holy grail of engineering in their hands didn’t mean they could replicate it. Their production line wasn’t able to work with such complex tech. But they persevered and thanks to an insider, they could finally go full steam ahead! No wonder so much effort was made to pull that engineer right out the special services’ grasp.

Soon after, the first batch of smaller electric engines left the assembly line. The technical documentation indicated an output of 520 horsepower, enough for the Y5 tanks to be swift and agile. The maneuverability also seemed to peak. The advanced motor allowed these vehicles to turn very quickly and sharply, a trait especially useful in urban environments. Of course, the age-old issue of losing speed when rounding corners still exists, but now the electric power allows for near-instantaneous acceleration.

The Nuclear Reactor

Copying your rivals completely isn’t the way of business for most corporations, and the same is true for Hybrid Nation. Developing and refining the best ideas is the backbone of this company, and simply replicating the “Defender” electric motor wasn’t enough. They added their own spin: a mini-reactor that greatly enlarged the operational range of any vehicle it was installed in.

The first lucky owners drove their vehicles into theirs garages right after the announcement, but soon the Y5 series will be available to everyone! Meanwhile, there’s talk of even more going on underneath Hybrid Nation HQ. We’ve heard rumors of sounds reminiscent of shots and coil whine, but that’s a report for another day…

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Welcome back, friends!

Today, we are tracking an amazing animal tank, right in its natural habitat. A native of the British Isles, you might know the Badger by its Latin name: FV217 Badger. This beast has a thick skin, sharp teeth, powerful claws and is very hot-tempered. Should it find its prey, the usually calm and docile creature turns into a ferocious and destructive predator!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIUHfmlQ9Is

Good news: you can tame this predator and it will gladly follow your commands! New containers have just arrived, and you might just find the FV217 Badger lurking in one of them. Open them up and get this Collector Tier X TD with the “Royal Reception” attachment. The “Esquire” legendary camouflage will give it the natural look it bears in the wild!

The Badger’s Lifestyle and Habits

Place of Origin: British Isles

The vehicle was based on a British heavy tank, the Conqueror. And although, according to official reports, the project was curtailed at an early stage, the Badger actually got loose and can be found in several locations: the burning desert sands, the arctic and it even found its way into concrete bunkers. According to the observations of leading tankologists, the Badger has impressive characteristics:

Bone Structure and Appearance

The Badger’s hull is stocky, squat and features sloping armor in the front. Like most TDs, the FV217 has no turret and relies on a decent supply of hit points and its thick exterior in combat. Even heavy tanks will wish they could handle enemy attacks like the Badger!

The especially strong armor is located in the front of the hull: here enemy shells will have to deal with up to 280 mm of steel! The main protected sectors are 215 mm thick, but taking the steep slope into account, it’s more like 350 mm! To deal any damage to this Badger head on, enemies will need to hit the lower plate. But this doesn’t necessarily guarantee penetration: thanks to the sloping, its effective thickness reaches 250 mm.

Under normal conditions, the Badger wears the standard British colors, but prefers to fight in the legendary Esquire camouflage, bearing the “Royal Reception” attachment. The camo gives the vehicle a gray-white color that badgers are known for and its title will change to “Badger, Esq.” in battle. The attachment adds a menacing mine trawl and machine gun shield that lets you know it’s “teatime”!

You’ll have better luck trying to break through the Badger’s sides, but don’t celebrate too early! The thinnest spots are covered with screens, and the conning tower’s sides have a reliable thickness of 152 mm: just enough to allow for side-scraping. Obviously, its back end is a weak point. But just like any smart animal, the Badger will make sure no threats can see it!

Mobility and Habitat

Usually the FV217 Badger is in no hurry. Its average speed is only about 24 km/h, which is not surprising given its level of protection. Getting up to 20 km/h takes only three seconds, and about 10 to hit the top speed of 30 km/h. Therefore, at the start of battle, the Badger normally sticks around the starting positions and gradually moves inland or waits for the enemy to approach.

Despite the impressive armor, the Badger tries to keep the enemy at a distance. More importantly, this animal must find positions where enemies cannot ring circles around it. Due to the large mass and structural features of the engine, this mammal turns in place very slowly, so maneuverable tanks pose a real danger.

Hunting and Nutrition

The Badger is a true omnivore. If something moves, it will eat it – or at least try. In this respect, this Badger’s more like a fox: it will hunt and kill any prey, even if it’s full. Such manners haven’t just appeared out of the blue, it’s in its nature: its weapon is perfect for the methodical destruction of anything that falls in its sight.

Among Tier X TDs, the Badger has one of the fastest-firing guns. It’s capable of inflicting 3,000 damage in a minute and piercing 280 mm of armor with its standard shell and 370 mm with its APCR. Though its alpha strike isn’t as large as that of other Tier X TDs, the Badger’s strong frontal armor allows it to use its rate of fire at 100% and not spend time sticking its head out from a shelter to attack, in turn reducing the aiming accuracy. Don’t think of this animal as a simple badger, it’s more like the honey badger: vicious and a danger to anyone and everyone!

Climbing up hills is not this badger’s forte; it takes a long time. But its weapon has a gun depression of 10 degrees, and the FV217 can comfortably shoot enemies, hide its lower armor plate AND further increase the slope of the frontal armor. Therefore, mountain walks definitely will be good for this creature’s health… and bad for the health of its enemies!

The Badger is a heavily armored TD with a large HP pool, a powerful weapon and a striking appearance. Become one of the first owners of this new Collector Tier X and tear enemy tanks to pieces with a primal, bestial rage!

Fight in realistic battles from June 10 to June 16 and earn rewards for the first 10, 20, and 30 victories:

Pre-Battle Briefing

Realistic battle presents a true challenge for your skill. All the usual tips and comforts have remained in regular and rating battles.

Key features of the realistic battle:
  • No armor highlighting is available in Sniper Mode.
  • Armor penetration and damage do not vary: if a vehicle's characteristics mention 148 mm as a shell's average penetration and 340 mm as average damage, then the gun will always penetrate 148 mm of armor and deal 340 HP of damage. An HE shell can cause lower splash damage if it hits more protected parts of armor.
  • Enemy vehicles are not displayed on the minimap.
  • The opponents' vehicles are visible at any distance unless they are hiding behind obstacles.
  • The light bulb doesn't flick on if you've been spotted by an enemy.
  • Markers above the enemy vehicles are displayed only when the enemy falls into the aiming circle.
  • Allies can also see the markers above an enemy vehicle when it's been hit or rammed, or when the “Destroy objective” command has been given.
  • Icons of consumables and damaged modules are not displayed above the opponents' vehicles.
  • The Enemy Spotted ribbon does not show.
  • Battles are held only in Supremacy mode on the Desert Sands, Oasis Palms, Rockfield, Normandy, Dead Rail, and Winter Malinovka maps.
Realistic battles can only be accessed using Tier V-X vehicles. Vehicles that are not allowed in realistic battles: IS-3 Defender; O-47; T28 Defender; Tankenstein; Nameless; Lupus; Predator UM; Gravedigger; Smasher; Edelweiss; Hafen; T6 Dracula; Helsing; WZ Blaze; Vindicator UM; Kuro Mori Mine; Pz. Sneak Up on Them Unnoticed in Realistic Battles
We have gone down the road of unchecked fun provided to us by Mad Games more than once. The time has come to try something radically different. The Realistic Battle type will be available in the game from June 10 to June 16. What's special about it:
  • Armor penetration zones are not highlighted.
  • Penetration and damage do not vary and are always equal to their average values.
  • Enemy vehicles are not displayed on the minimap.
  • The opponents' vehicles are visible at any distance unless they are hiding behind obstacles.
  • The light bulb never flicks on.
  • Markers above the vehicle are displayed while the enemy stays in the aiming circle and three seconds after that. The marker above the enemy vehicle will also be visible for three seconds to all allies if this vehicle has been hit or a quick command to attack was given.
  • Icons of consumables and damaged modules are not displayed above enemy tanks.
  • In realistic battles, the Enemy Spotted ribbon can't be acquired.

Blow Off Enemy Turrets Without Remorse
If you set off the ammunition or destroy a tank with a 3% HP or lower, the turret will be epically blown off for almost any Tier I–IV and Tier X vehicle.

The turret will remain attached:
  • On all tank destroyers and vehicles with an open cabin
  • On other vehicles where it's illogical due to design features (for example, the M3 Lee)
The blown-off turret can deal damage both to enemy and allied vehicles. The damage will be attributed to neither side. If a blown-off turret finishes off a tank, the battle results will display the Crashed destruction status.

But even if you don't manage to knock off a tank's turret, the destruction of the vehicle won't go unnoticed: we have reworked the animation of a vehicle's explosion. It is now truly legendary! The new animation is available only at the maximum graphics quality settings.

Try on New Camouflage and Attachments
Hot specialties:
  • The Hornet Legendary camouflage for the T49, available at 1,450 gold. Changes the tank name in battle to T49 Hornet.
  • The Blitz Rare camouflage, available for 65–750 gold depending on the vehicle tier.
  • The Thunder and Lightning Rare camouflage, available for 65–750 gold depending on the vehicle tier.
  • The Royal Treatment Rare attachment for the FV4005, available at 4,000 gold.
The following attachments will be permanently available:
  • Forward — for the AMX Chasseur de chars. Cost: 435 gold.
  • Pioneer — for the IS-6. Cost: 2,500 gold.
  • Ladder, Lucky Dice, Field Kitchen, Music Lover, and 24 Frames. Cost: 1,950 gold for Tier VII vehicles and 2,500 gold for Tier VIII. They can be installed on the IS, IS-3, SU-152, ISU-152, LTTB, Tiger I, Tiger II, Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger, T49, and AMX 13 75.

Stock Up on Some Warm Clothing
The entire Garage is leaving the cozy forest for the cloudy French coast of 1944. In Normandy, combat doesn't stop and the foul wind bites to the bone.

Install Cool Avatars
The Victorious avatar is awarded for victories in regular and rating battles, while the Ultimate Destroyer avatar is for Raseiniai Heroes' Medals. Check out the avatars and conditions for receiving them.

In the Avatars screen, you can follow your victories and medals collecting progress. They are counted from the moment you created your account.

Capitalize on Watching Video Ads
Only for iOS and Android devices.

Experience and credits earned in battle can now be increased by 20% for just watching an ad. And it doesn't matter whether you won the battle or not. The profitability of every battle can be increased only once.

Anyone playing the game on a mobile device can obtain gold for watching an ad. However, ads that earn gold and ads that increase battle rewards share the same counter. You can increase your income using this trick up to five times a day. The counter is reset at 00:00 (UTC+0).

Congratulate the Spring Season Winners
The Update release wraps up the Spring Season. Note: Season Containers will be available in the Store till June 12.

In the Garage, the flags with the logos of winning clans have been revealed and the Spring Season logos have been removed.

The Spring Season 2019 button in the side menu has been replaced by the link to the Hall of Fame.

Enter Bonus Codes in a New Tab
In the Settings, the General tab has been added, which now contains the Account and Legal Information screens information. Here, you can also find information about the server, learn more about the game, or enter a bonus code.

Stay Abreast of Important Improvements
The highlighting of penetration zones has been reworked and now gives more accurate prompts to the player on the possibility of penetrating a specific zone. The vehicle armor itself hasn't changed.

Dispersion of armor penetration has been decreased from 15 to 5%. Armor penetration ranges from 100 to 105% upon activation of the Master Gunner skill and 95 to 105% upon the regular shot. The damage spread has remained the same ± 25%.

Certificates for camouflage or an attachment can be exchanged for credits, and avatars can be exchanged for Splinters that can be used to purchase containers with avatars in the Store. Temporary and especially memorable avatars (earned for tournaments, certain game events etc.) cannot be exchanged. Only those certificates that have the Use button next to them in Storage can be exchanged.

We've implemented synchronization of favorite vehicles between different devices. To add a vehicle to your favorites, double tap it in the carousel. On Windows-based devices, the same can be done using a double left-click or a single right-click.

The red indicator on the Missions button will now also appear when containers are available for opening (earlier, it only indicated that there were Keys that could be collected).

To the vehicle purchase screen, a timer for temporary certificates for researching has been added.

And on the very top shelf in the Storage, we've hidden some Sweet boosters. Let's come to an agreement: you can't touch them yet. They are meant for the Birthday!

Learn the Details of Balance Improvements
The shape of commander's cupolas and frontal armor of the IS-6 and IS-6 Fearless has been corrected.

Speed. Turret. Gun.

Starting at Tier VII, the new TD branch consists of four vehicles. They are quite large and lightly armored, however, they do boast powerful guns with excellent depression and elevation, and fully-rotating turrets. You will be dispatching your foes into the Garage with ease in every battle, sailing through effortlessly to Tier X FV4005, which has an autoloader.

Tier VII: The Challenger

Researched from the Sherman Firefly for 65,680 XP, costs 1,400,000 credits.

In appearance, the Challenger resembles a heavy tank, but that first impression is deceptive: it’s actually based on the chassis of the Cromwell medium tank. When transformed into a TD, the vehicle inherited excellent mobility and a penchant for high speeds. It only takes about 5 seconds to reach its cruising speed of 35 km/h and will reach between 48 and 50 km/h in 10 seconds.

Add Improved Engine Power Boost to its maneuverability and every medium tank will be eating your dust!

In terms of armor, it’s best to assume that there’s nothing protecting this tank destroyer: most shells will penetrate and cause damage. Powerful HE shells are the most dangerous, so take the new Spall Liner provision into battle. A gun depression of 10 degrees and a high reversing speed will help save your precious hit points. To get the most out of your Challenger: hide your vehicle behind a terrain fold, roll out, shoot, quickly roll back and repeat. Be careful: your turret isn’t “bouncy” and if you expose too much of your vehicle, it could be disastrous.

The Challenger’s top gun can penetrate 220 mm of armor—this is more than enough to damage most opponents head-on. If it’s not enough, loading APCR with 252 mm of penetration will come to the rescue. And with the rotating turret, good damage per shot, fast reload speed and high accuracy, the enemy won’t stand a chance!

Tier VIII: The Charioteer

Researched from the Challenger for 106,250 XP, costs 2,650,000 credits.

Just like its predecessor in the tech tree, the Charioteer is built on the Cromwell chassis. Hence the excellent mobility: the vehicle became even lighter, and the power-to-weight ratio reached 21.5 hp/t. To some extent, the Charioteer is a wolf in sheep’s clothing; it’s not so much a TD, but almost a light tank. And when you add the Improved Engine Power Boost, well it’s more like a rocket!

There’s even less armor, and the only protection it offers is from the wind, the sun and the rain. It’s best not to find yourself being rained on by shells, and always packing a Spall Liner is a must. Otherwise, the first shells that hit will deal irreparable damage for that battle. Fortunately, the Charioteer also knows how to depress and elevate its gun on hilly terrain. Combine this with a reverse top speed of 20 km/h and you’ve got all you need to save your vehicle!

With the top configuration, the Charioteer is armed with a cannon from the FV4202, the variant with the HESH shells. If the enemy’s vulnerabilities are in sight, these shells would penetrate 210 mm of armor and inflict 440 damage per shot!

With the base AP shells, the gun serves up almost 3,000 damage per minute — dealing 350 damage per shot — and can penetrate 245 mm of armor. The high accuracy of the Charioteer can be further enhanced with the Reticle Calibration — with this onboard, locate the most fragile areas in your enemy’s armor and fire!

Tier IX: The Conway

Researched from the Charioteer for 160,000 XP, costs 3,500,000 credits.

This huge colossus got the chassis from a different British medium tank, the Centurion. The Conway isn’t as fast as its Cromwell-based predecessors, but it’s still one of the most mobile TDs for its tier. It’ll take just 5 seconds to hit 30 km/h and can reach 39–40 km/h in 10.

There’s no armor, so let’s say it again: use the terrain, the gun depression, Spall Liner, and caution. The task of the Conway is not to take damage, but inflict it; for that, this TD has everything you need.

The Conway has two good Tier X guns and it’ll be your decision which to mount. The first gun offers impressive damage per minute, and the second — great damage per shot.

The base 120 mm gun is stock. You might be familiar with it already as it’s available with the Tortoise — the Tier IX from the other British TD branch. It boasts a great rate of fire, short aiming time, high accuracy and armor penetration, good damage per shot and a DPM of 3,200!

However, for the Conway, the gun’s advantages are slightly flawed. To use the gun to its full potential, you must pay a price: getting under fire. However, if you decide to play with this stock gun all the time, we’re sure no-one will judge you… At least, we won’t!

The second option is a large caliber with HESH shells, high damage per shot, but a low rate of fire. In general, this weapon has its flaws, but its characteristics are more suited to the playstyle of the Conway. You’ll have to leave cover to take a shot every 13–14 seconds with each shot dealing 600 damage. The HESH shell, which has an armor penetration of 200 mm and deals 670 damage, will gladly set course for enemy weak spots. With this gun fitted, the Conway will survive longer and fight more efficiently, and with a high damage per shot, you’ll send the enemy into hiding!

Tier X: The FV4005

Researchable from the Conway for 280,000 XP, costs 6,100,000 credits.

The jewel in the crown of the new branch is also huge and built on the chassis of another medium: this time, the “donor” was the Centurion Mk.3. This chassis gave the FV4005 an enviable level of mobility for a vehicle of such size: it will hit 30 km/h in about 4 seconds, and its top speed of 40 km/h in 6–7 when on solid ground. Turn on Improved Engine Power Boost and in 15 seconds, you’ll have cleared half the map and be ready and waiting for the enemies to appear, sitting in a cozy position.

The chassis’ high maneuverability has been kept too, but it is still possible to run circles around the new TD. The slow turret, which only turns 180 degrees, is to blame. However, it’s a sin to complain about such a thing; don’t forget some turretless TDs’ guns only turn 14 degrees.

As for its armor, yes, you guessed it: you might as well pretend it’s not even there. There’s especially little armor on the turret — only 14 mm around. All the tips we gave you before are even more important at Tier X. Install a Spall Liner, use the terrain and the 10 degrees of gun depression to your advantage.

The FV4005 is designed to dish out damage. To do this, it has a powerful autoloader that holds 3 shells, each of which deals 460 damage. Reloading within the magazine takes only 3 seconds, and by equipping the Shell Reload Boost, it can be cut down to 2.1 s. In just 4 seconds, you can unleash 3 destructive projectiles with a combined damage of 1,380!

In addition to the unique consumables, the FV4005’s gun is distinguished by its advantages not normally seen with autoloaders: it manages to aim fully between shots, it has decent armor penetration and powerful APCR shells.

This weapon will grant you crazy firepower, but you need to use it properly. It will take you almost 20 seconds to reload the magazine, so you need to always think about escape routes and cover for this time. Keep the enemy at a distance, use your good mobility and take up spots that allow you to deliver decent damage. Fight in a platoon with a more protected tank, which can take the enemy’s blows. And then, each enemy in your sight can receive 1,380 damage!

Get the “Royal Treatment” for the FV4005

When the FV4005 graces your presence, open the “Appearance” menu. A royal dress will be waiting for you: the “Royal Treatment” attachment. A spiked mine trawl adorns the front of the royal car, a machine gun and shield which states the kettle is boiling, just make sure you don’t forget the teabags. To unlock the “Royal Treatment”, you will need 4,000 gold.

Give your enemies a “Royal reception”!
World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Discover all the advantages of its dependable gun, assault the flanks in time, teach "spotters" their place, and leave battles triumphantly with piles of credits using the new Tier V German tank Krupp-38(D).

Through May 31, you'll find two bundles in the Store: one with the new tank and the other its fully equipped version. Take this chance and test the Krupp-38(D) for yourself in battle!

What About Shooting and Riding?
The Krupp-38(D) is based on blueprint ideas of German engineers. It once seemed impossible to build this vehicle with the Hetzer's hull and a more powerful medium tank gun in steel, but now you can appreciate the realization of this idea in World of Tanks Blitz.

The gun of the Krupp-38(D) is already known to many of you thanks to the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G or the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV. This gun is one of the most accurate for Tier V. It aims really quickly, deals 160 HP of damage with an AP shell, and penetrates up to 110 mm of armor. Good gun stabilization and a quick turret make this tank a great tool for destroying the ELC AMXs and the Leopards. Coping with their armor for this gun is like multiplying two by two for a pupil. Your shells will also bring welcome damage to medium tanks. Heavy tanks will be more difficult to destroy, but flanking maneuvers and shooting at vulnerable sides and rear will help you resolve this issue.

The imposing single-shot damage delivers major blows to enemy tanks' hit points. But don't forget to take cover when necessary: the average rate of fire makes machine gunning impossible. If you have no way out, just go ahead disabling enemies and destroying them then and there. Good accuracy and stabilization will help you.

The quick turret will allow you to change your target easily and save you in a high maneuver battle since the chassis of this machine is relatively slow. If any agile tank invites you to "a spin dance", you'll hardly have time to point your protective front armor. However, the high turret traverse speed will let you take aim at the enemy and battle on equal terms, perhaps even sending the "dancer" to the Garage prematurely.

Although this tank is not brilliant at turning, it has absolutely no problems with dynamics. Having chosen your tactics at the beginning of battle, hurry up to take the most advantageous position on the map. It will take the Krupp-38(D) 5-6 seconds to increase its speed to 30 km/h, and if the road is straight and flat, it will do an even 40 km/h. You'll have enough time both to take a good position and to ride away in case of danger.

And What About Armor?
The front hull of the Krupp-38(D) has 80 mm of armor, which doesn't impress at first sight. But prudent engineers made the Hetzer’s hull armor sloped. That means an enemy shell has to pierce one and a half or even two times more than 80 mm. This is how the proprietary hull of a famous German tank destroyer can gift you a bunch of Damage Blocked ribbons.

Unfortunately, the Krupp-38(D) wasn't as lucky with turret armor. It's also 80 mm thick but without angles. The gun mantlet is unlikely to be of any interest for an enemy, which means the "cheeks" will take most damage. So don't forget to shift the turret slightly when reloading.

The small size will help save hit points. The Krupp-38(D) is one of the most compact medium tanks of this Tier: you'll be able to hide even in small shelters and it will be more difficult for the enemy to aim at you.

The Krupp-38(D) gives you everything one would expect from a German medium tank: decent damage dealt by a dependable gun, good dynamics, and strong frontal hull armor. Destroy enemy vehicles even from minimal cover or support allies' attacks by striking opponents on the move. And, of course, earn more credits and experience for every battle!
