World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Don't let the melodic name "Lorraine" lead you astray: a vehicle of devastating power and breakneck speed is hidden behind it. The Lorraine 40 t is a Premium French medium tank featuring a four-shell magazine loading system, a powerful engine, and thin armor. Take command of this rare vehicle!

The "Autoloader's Primed and Ready" bundle with the Lorraine 40 t will be available in the Store until October 26. The vehicle is fully equipped—click the Battle! button and enjoy victories with increased profitability!

Adrenaline, Speed, and a Four-Shell Magazine

The playstyle and appearance of the Lorraine 40 t resemble the AMX 50 100, a well-known researchable French heavy tank with a 90 mm gun. Both vehicles are poorly armored, move quickly, and use similar tactics.

The 90 mm gun of the Lorraine 40 t can penetrate 212 mm with a standard shell and 259 mm with an APCR shell. Its base penetration is not enough for face-to-face combat, but nobody expects that from this vehicle. However, its APCR shells can easily cause damage to almost any enemy vehicle!

Using AP shells, the gun causes 225 HP of damage per single shot and 900 HP of damage per one magazine. Shells in the magazine are reloaded in 2.5 seconds. Which means that the Lorraine 40 t can cause an impressive 900 HP of damage in just 7.5 seconds. The vehicle pays for this with 21.54 seconds of magazine reloading.

The new tank’s armor is thin. At Tier VIII, 40 mm of frontal hull armor and 55 mm of frontal turret armor can protect against nothing more than a breath of wind. Beware of HE shells and don't even try to ram enemy vehicles! That's all you need to know about this vehicle's armor.

At the same time, while reloading the magazine, the Lorraine 40 t has a reliable means of surviving a period of helplessness: a powerful engine and 60 km/h speed. After firing all four shells, this tank can quickly leave its position and vanish in an unknown direction.

The Lorraine 40 t features high specific power and quickly accelerates, but slowly traverses. As a result, it's difficult to circle around enemy vehicles or negotiate a sharp turn at full speed.

Hit-and-run tactics are best suited for the Lorraine 40 t. Your objective in battle is to approach the enemy at an opportune moment and fire the entire magazine as efficiently as possible. An opportune moment is when your enemy reloads, turns its sides or rear towards you, or exchanges fire with other players. Or all of the above. And if your opponent has fewer than 900 hit points, this is your finest hour: the Lorraine 40 t will destroy it with ease, bringing your team one step closer to victory.

The new French tank is an adrenaline vehicle that should stay constantly on the move. Its thin armor allows no mistakes, but its overwhelming firepower and high speed make the Lorraine 40 t a decisive force on the battlefield. Look for the weakest spots in the enemy's defense: the Lorraine 40 t can destroy it with a deliberate strike. Fight in the Lorraine 40 t and show your mastery! This vehicle will reward you with spectacular battles and increased credit earnings!

Update 5.4 will bring interface and balance improvements, new attachments and camouflages, as well as fixes and changes you asked for! New vehicles, map, battle type with mod... oops, wrong news. You didn't see anything, okay?

Update 5.4 will be available on October 10.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd663xwDYUM
Main Changes and New Features
  • The characteristics of the 121B, SU-122-54, T95E2, 59-Patton, Nameless, and Dicker Max were improved. The models of the M60, Waffenträger auf Pz. IV, IS-2 Sh, and Hafen were fixed. Read this article to find out more.
  • We continue to simplify the interface. Removing currency names in the Garage (did anyone even notice this?) and relocating bonus containers were the first steps. In Update 5.4, we rearranged the buttons in the Garage to group all vehicle configuration options in one place. Of course, it will feel unusual at first, but you will forget about the old interface after only a couple of days. Here's what changed:
    • The Crew and Upgrades buttons were moved down and are now located above the vehicle panel next to the Appearance button.
    • The boosters button took the place of the Crew button next to the main orange button. Now you will always remember to install them before battle!
    • The Record button is now located to the left of the player's nickname. It makes sense when the owner's name is displayed next to their medals.
    • The ping indicator and XP multiplier timer are now located to the right of the "Battle!" button.
    • There are more changes to come! Regular game updates allow us to further improve the interface and make necessary changes.

  • Matchmaker rules applied in rating battles were changed:
    • Now each team can have up to seven heavy or medium tanks, and up to three light tanks or tank destroyers. As before, teams have an equal number of vehicles of the same class.
    • Platoons are no longer available in rating battles. This change will allow for faster matchmaking. Rating battles without platoons will become more fair: teams are matched according to their total rating, while platoons with different ratings often resulted in unbalanced teams. Besides this, cunning fellows will no longer be able to enter easier battles by taking advantage of a huge difference in rating when creating platoons.
  • A new vehicle type called collector vehicles was introduced to the game.
    • These vehicles can neither be found in the Tech Tree nor freely accessed. Collector vehicles can be obtained in in-game events, purchased during special offers in the Store, and received as a gift.
    • Similar to the parameters of researchable vehicles, those of collector vehicles may be changed in exceptional cases.
    • Vehicles that are currently available in the game can become collector vehicles in the future. For example, when a researchable tank is removed from the Tech Tree.
    • Collector vehicles have a blue background in the game.
    • Players will be able to sell some of them for gold.
    • In Update 5.4, there are two collector vehicles: the Gravedigger and Scavenger. Stay tuned to learn more about them.
  • Two Halloween-themed attachments and camouflages were introduced.

  • The cost of refreshing a completed mission was reduced from 300 to 100 gold.
  • As part of the global change to the initial game experience, newcomers will fight mostly against each other rather than against experienced players.
  • The game no longer supports Windows Mobile and iOS 7. The PC version of the game will still be released on Windows, and iOS 7 users will be able to continue playing after updating iOS to version 8 or later.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
  • Ribbons are no longer displayed on the Battle Results screen if they are disabled in the settings.
  • The bug, where a ribbon was displayed upon causing damage to or hitting an enemy vehicle that had disappeared from spotting range, was fixed.
  • Clan tags are now displayed in the list of tournament team members.
  • Orders, stripes, and medals of the Twister season became accumulative.
  • The bug, where the number of Ace Tanker mastery badges was displayed incorrectly, was fixed.
  • Settings in the Other tab (e.g., the Record Replays option) are no longer reset after a re-login.
  • The reload indicator is no longer displayed above a destroyed ally.
  • On touch devices, the bug, where using the new Auto-aim resulted in the player tracking one vehicle with their reticle while the shell hit another, was fixed.
  • The bug, where the room creator could not remove players from the training room because the respective button was not displayed, was fixed.
  • The bug, where an enemy spotted at the map border was still displayed on the minimap after disappearing from spotting range, was fixed.
  • The bug, where the time left until the battle end was displayed incorrectly after minimizing and maximizing the game client window, was fixed.
  • The bug, where the chat and fire buttons, as well as speed were displayed over the panel with damaged modules in battle, was fixed.
  • The bug, where an outline was not displayed around the vehicle that destroyed another player, was fixed.
  • The bug, where repaired modules of the enemy vehicle were displayed incorrectly upon spotting it for the second time, was fixed.
  • The bug, where the number of items to be combined was displayed incorrectly in the Storage, was fixed.
  • On Android devices, the bug, where attachments were no longer displayed in battle upon restarting the game, was fixed.
  • Players can now select a battle type after receiving vehicles of Tier V or above.
  • The bug, where switching between regular and rating battles worked incorrectly when playing in a platoon, was fixed.

One of the best tactics is to sow fear and panic among your enemies from the very beginning. A high caliber, thick armor, a nickname with a huge number of exclamation marks and, of course, "dreadful" camouflage are well suited for this! Update 5.4 will also bring the brand-new "Halloween" attachments and warpaints.

Spooky Web
If on a dark night you find yourself exploring a far abandoned corner, you are sure to find a spider there. Or there may be more than one, who knows? They are weaving their webs there, distracting careless victims, and then immediately launching a shocking attack!

Camouflage price: from 35 gold to 500 gold depending on the vehicle's tier.

Pumpkin Mayhem
While the hostesses bake pumpkin pies and prepare sweets for the children, you are free to roam and frighten them back to their parents, making your presence known in bright orange.

Camouflage price: from 45 gold to 680 gold depending on the vehicle's tier.

Wasted Shot
Some say that this missile stuck in the hull is a mark from another world. Legend has it that its owner gets +10 to fearlessness when rushing the mid. The only thing we know for sure is its price — 410 gold for Tier VII vehicles, 530 gold for Tier VIII vehicles, and 240 gold for the M4A2E4 Sherman.

Tank-o'-lantern
The old legend says that the Jack's candle helps souls find their way home. This one, however, will definitely help defeated enemies find their way back to the Garage. Available for only 315 gold for Tier VII vehicles, 410 gold for Tier VIII vehicles, and 185 gold for the M4A2E4 Sherman.

Let’s get to know the newbie, the FV201 (A45). First off, the French “autoloaders” will be envious of his outstanding rate of fire. The Brit has a strong, robust and fast-turning turret and superb gun depression angles, so he can use the hilly terrain to his advantage throughout the battle.

This gentleman isn’t so great when turning so he’s not set to become a rally driver, but certainly picks up speed when going in a straight line; simply press the accelerator and you’re hitting “max speed”. To top it all off, the FV201 (A45) earns even more credits per battle! Take command and to the victor go the spoils!

Until October 19, bundles featuring the FV201 (A45), with and without Equipment, are available in the Premium Store. Pick up the package to suit your personal taste.

FV201 — A barrage of shots

Just like other British heavies, the FV201 is a combination of measured slowness and a crazy rate of fire. But now onto the most pressing information, the stats:

The armored body of the FV201 (A45) is not as impressive as that of all its peers, but this disadvantage is levelled out by a decent margin of hit points. Except for the “tin roof”, the tower is pretty well protected: 152mm frontal combined with a thick gun mask. Add to this, the great depression of the gun and we have a recipe that’s simple for any tanker in the FV201 (A45): hide your hull behind obstacles or hilly terrain and return those shells to sender with your durable tower.

The maximum speed of the FV201 (A45) is 31km/h, and the tank speeds up in seconds. This helps the machine to arrive on time at the best firing positions and contribute to the enemy team’s destruction. On the other hand, the Brit doesn’t handle turns very well and certainly slows down when taking corners. But the lights and mediums preying on this slow-turning target are out of luck: the tower turns quicker than Benedict Arnold and will be ready to blow off your tracks.

Now let’s draw our attention to the main feature—the gun! If an unsuspecting enemy runs into the sight of the FV201 (A45), they will remember their mistake as their tank might now look like Swiss cheese, getting struck once every 3.6 seconds. Thanking this gentleman for the newly received extra vent holes with reciprocal fire won’t work. The Brit’s DPM for the exceeds over 2600! If you bring Equipment and Consumables, the reload time will decrease to 3.2 seconds with a DPM of 3000!

A standard AP round offers 171mm of penetration; that’s enough to take on more tanks of Tier VI and VII. When dealing with Tier VIII steel beasts, you will have to look back to your book on weak spots. At least the gun allows you to be fairly accurate. Use your pinpoint accuracy to deal damage, and if in a tight situation, sacrifice the damage by loading APCR rounds: they can penetrate 239mm of armor!

The FV201 (A45) is a born and bred second line fighter, able to continuously fire at enemy targets. He can not only cope with damage, but also sacrifice a couple of shots to track an enemy. Stopped dead in his tracks, this tank will unleash one shot at the Brit, but no bother, he will return three.

Low one-time damage and a high rate of fire means that the FV201 doesn’t perform well when playing peek-a-boom and exchanging shots with enemies. To effectively use the gun, keep the enemy in your sights for as long as possible. Use all your advantages: large stock of shells, good accuracy and stabilization. You know what that means—shooting on the move. Don’t wait for the enemy around the corner to reload. Burst in and deal damage!

For such maneuvers, you will need a strong ally with good armor. If there isn’t anyone helping you out, choose routes with uneven terrain and objects to hide the hull.

Now that you know this gentleman better, you will be able to achieve outstanding victories and earn a decent amount of credits for each trip to the battlefield. The rapid-firing Brit is waiting!

Today we’re sharing the recipe for the ideal tank destroyer.

Take a Type 59, carefully cut around the turret and remove it. Add a crafty one instead, sloped as much as possible. Weld together until a hard seal forms. Insert a powerful long-barreled gun and fill with Premium income.

Congratulations! If you followed the formula to the letter, the first Chinese tank destroyer in the game is ready. Assume direct control of the WZ-120-1G FT and speed into battle!

Until September 30, “The First Hunter” bundle featuring the WZ-120-1G FT is available in the Store. All the equipment is unlocked in the tank—simply press “Battle!” and start dealing damage.

Daring, Bold, and Deadly

The game already has tank destroyers based on medium tanks: the SU-122-44 and the SU-122-54 combine decent protection with agility and firepower. Our newcomer, the WZ-120-1G FT, has these qualities too: just check its stats!

The WZ-120-1G FT is equipped with a 122mm Tier X cannon able to penetrate 248 mm of armor with a single AP shell and 310 mm with HEAT. Tricks like shielding your weak spots and angling just won’t work against the WZ-120-1G FT: For this hunter, there are enough vulnerabilities on most of its opponents to target!

The damage that the new tank destroyer can dish out is also quite impressive. 400 points with a single shot (just with an AP round) combines perfectly with its short reloading time, meaning you can deal a damage per minute of more than 2500—even without Provisions and Equipment taken into count!

While the WZ-120-1G FT punches hard, it’s also well protected. The 120mm thick glacis plate is sloped at a low angle and will shrug off lots of enemy rounds or make them ricochet. To guarantee a damaging hit, an opponent should have around 220 mm of armor penetration!

The lower front plate of the new Chinese offers less protection, being 80 mm thick. But it’s very compact and sloped: To break through, an enemy tank needs roughly 150 mm of armor penetration.

However, the sides and the rear of the WZ-120-1G FT have so little armor that any flanking adversary can score a hit. But a sneaky foe’s glee will be brief: the Chinese TD is a ‘descendant’ of the Type 59 and as such can turn pretty fast, so an enemy is unlikely to run circles around you.

The Type 59 ancestry shows in our hunter’s mobility too. The WZ-120-1G FT is quick to accelerate to 40 km/h, and that opens a whole lot of tactical opportunities. Taking a great firing position in a short time? Simple! Rushing the enemy with a bunch of medium tanks? Easy! Covering an ally retreat and then repelling an enemy assault on the other flank? No probs!

The WZ-120-1G FT shows itself to be a very flexible vehicle with the ability to achieve so much just in a single battle. The new TD is an asset both for your teammates and for yourself. Your side gets a valuable ally, and you get to enjoy the feeling of being victorious, while earning lots of Credits in every fight.

Meet the new hero of Valkyria Chronicles! Straight from the heat of European War II, the Edinburgh army tank Hafen has arrived in World of Tanks Blitz. It's a very dynamic and maneuverable combat vehicle.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFVXagZMaH8
From September 19 to September 30, bundles with the iconic Valkyria Chronicles Premium vehicles Hafen, Edelweiss, Lupus, and Nameless are available in the in-game Store. Go to the Offers tab for more details!

The Hafen is perfectly suited for an aggressive playstyle. It’s firepower is almost equal to the popular Edelweiss: the 82 mm gun might deal a little less damage, but it is capable of a higher rate of fire—11 shots per minute.

Despite being quite well-armored for a medium tank, the Hafen requires wise combat tactics: avoid open areas and move quickly from cover to cover.

The main advantage of this new tank is its dynamics. The Hafen accelerates quickly and can maintain its speed well, it easily overcomes all kinds of obstacles and takes strategically important positions. It's perfect for quick maneuvers, allowing for decisive and merciless attacks.

In Valkyria Chronicles, the Hafen is in service of the "E" detachment of the 32nd rangers' tank battalion. By its exterior, the vehicle resembles the American M4 Sherman. The tank was named after its commander Claude Wallace's hometown. It has the "E" detachment's coat of arms and motto drawn on its sides: "It will be done!"

The upcoming update is smaller in scope than some of our other updates. But we are releasing it in the shortest time possible, which means that all subsequent updates will be released earlier too. Update 5.3 will be available on September 12.

Main Changes and Improvements
  • Bonus containers (the ones you got used to opening every day) were moved to the separate Containers tab in the Store. A gift icon will notify you of a new container that can be opened for free.
  • Now you can also open bonus containers from the window with the description of their content.
  • The Tasks button in the Garage was renamed Missions. Only combat missions will be displayed here.
  • With Update 5.3, after completing the battle tutorial, newcomers will play mixed-type battles for some time. In these battles, bots fight instead of some players. Gradually, the number of players in mixed-type battles will increase, bots will become stronger, and their number will reduce. Thus, mixed-type battles will smoothly change into regular battles.
  • The mechanism of adding maps in regular battles was changed:
    • Battles on only Tier I vehicles are fought on the Fort Despair map.
    • Battles on Tier I–II vehicles are fought on the Fort Despair and Mines maps.
    • When entering a battle on Tier II–III vehicles or Tier III–IV vehicles, you can play on the Fort Despair, Mines, or Mirage maps.
    • The Black Goldville, Dead Rail, Copperfield, Falls Creek, and Himmelsdorf maps were added to the battles on Tier IV–V vehicles.
    • Starting from Tier VI, all maps are available.
  • To make battles more diverse, the map selection mechanism was updated. Now, the server stores the last ten maps you fought on and tries to select something new. Since it is not easy to satisfy the demands of all players, you can still get a map from your last ten. But even in this case, the system checks all maps, starting from those you played on most rarely.
  • Repairs in training rooms became free.
  • Characteristics of M4A1 Revalorisé were improved:
    • Reload time was decreased from 10.54 to 9.58 s.
    • Cost of Armor-Piercing Composite Rigid shells was reduced from 1,200 to 760.
    • Turret armor (front/sides/rear) was reinforced from 63/63/63 to 90/65/65 mm.
    • Gun mantlet armor was enhanced from 89 to 100 mm.
  • The Mecha Phoenix legendary camouflage for the O-47 tank is now permanently available, not only as part of bundles in the Store. Cost to unlock: 1,590 gold.

Bug Fixes and Improvements
  • The voiceover, which played upon damaging the suspension or gun by a penetrating hit, was changed from "Enemy is hit!" to "Penetration".
  • On sensor devices, the work of Auto-aim was fixed in cases when you track one vehicle with your reticle, but the shell flies towards another.
  • Upon unlocking a camouflage or attachment, it is now installed automatically if the selected slot is empty. Camouflage is still installed manually in other slots.
  • Mouse sensitivity settings are no longer reset when switching to another tab of the settings.
  • The bug, where the exhaust smoke effect was not played 100 seconds after the battle started, was fixed.
  • Replays no longer freeze when you pause and fast-forward them.
  • The LIVE indicator is now displayed in the menu once the tournament is live-streamed.
  • The bug, where the notification of insufficient consumables was displayed when they were installed in all slots, was fixed.
  • Various screens, notifications, and descriptions were improved.
  • General bugs and client crashes were fixed.
World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

What is the T 55A? It’s when you break into a drawn-out shootout, take out a couple of enemies and proudly leave the chaos you caused with others fearful that you are coming for them. When you ricochet a shell from a devastating gun, just smile and don’t give them a chance to reload. When you’ve tracked your prey, circle and tear them apart, then enter the heat of battle with enemy mediums. And all of this can take place in just one battle!

Until September 14, the “Universal Fighter” bundle with the Enriched T 55A medium tank is available in the Store. All the equipment is unlocked in the tank—simply press “Battle!” and start unleashing carnage.

The T 55A is ready for anything

Stemming from the development of the iconic Soviet T-54 tank, the T 55A received its best traits: it’s dynamic with excellent maneuverability, a fast-turning turret and a quick-firing and accurate gun, even at full speed. Add to the mix great armor and you get a jack of all trades.

Each of the T 55A’s strengths are proven by its stats. At first glance, these figures are obvious: this tank will rip and tear.

Although the frontal armor is lacking 20 mm compared to the T-54, the T 55A remains a sufficiently protected machine by medium tank standards. These lost millimeters in the body are almost unnoticeable: thanks to the slope, the effective thickness of the frontal armor reaches approximately 200 mm. The turret has thick armor and can ricochet—this will save a lot of your HP.

The decent armor doesn’t prevent the T 55A from being a very mobile machine with high power-to-weight ratio. You can quickly accelerate and overcome obstacles at an average speed of 45 km/h, reaching 50–52 km/h in a straight line or 58 km/h when going downhill.

The T 55A is armed with one of the fastest guns available to Tier IX medium tanks. Without any upgrades or equipment, you will fire every 7 seconds, dealing 310 damage per shot. The armor penetration of AP shells will suffice for any occasion, if we don’t include frontal crossfire with heavies. Such situations should be avoided, but if it’s already pressing on you, use HEAT to penetrate an average of 270 mm.

Effective gun + Enriched T 55A = increased credit income for every fight

In addition to the basic stats, the gun also has excellent stabilization. Movement, turning and firing minimally affect the scatter so you will be able to shoot effectively even at full speed.

Like his researchable “elder brother”, the T 55A suggests an aggressive style of play. Capture the high land, avoid the enemy from the flanks, break into the very heat of battle, distract and torment enemy tanks in a most brash manner. The T 55A is one of the vehicles that can take out anyone and win a fight that seemed lost. If two of them are in a platoon, someone’s in trouble.

The T 55A is not a Premium tank. Its earnings correspond to that of Tier IX vehicles with activated enrichment. If necessary, the characteristics of the T 55A may be adjusted to improve game balance.

Try out a new Premium tank destroyer and enjoy its unusual gameplay. The gun of the ISU-130 uses two types of armor-piercing shells: the first penetrates 230 mm of armor and deals 460 HP of damage, the second penetrates 195 mm of armor and deals 530 HP of damage. When combined with a high rate of fire and equipment, this new tank destroyer can inflict up to 3,600 HP of damage per minute. Devastate enemy ranks and fill your coffers with credits!

Bundles including the new ISU-130 with different sets of equipment are available in the in-game Store until September 14. Pick the bundle you like and roll out!

A 130 mm Caliber Argument

The ISU-130 is a gun first and foremost. The rest is just a means of transportation. A quick glance at this vehicle's characteristics is enough to see that the ISU-130 is the ultimate damage dealer. It will teach your enemies the true meaning of damage — imminent and devastating!

While dealing damage to the enemy, act wisely. Don't forget that you have almost no armor. If you're lucky enough, the large gun mantlet will protect you from enemy shells. But don't overestimate it and be careful. The dynamic characteristics of the ISU-130 are similar to those of its researchable "brother" the ISU-152. This means that the ISU-130 features an average speed of 30 km/h (without equipment) and turns around rather slowly.

But you will forget all about its drawbacks after taking your first shot. Perfect gun characteristics and enhanced shells make this new tank destroyer a dangerous opponent, which will quickly relieve the enemy team of excessive vehicles.

If you see a well-armored tank in your reticle, use your main shells: they penetrate 230 mm of armor and deal 460 HP of damage. That's enough to make enemies think twice before approaching you.

The real fun begins when you meet weaker armored tanks or when heavily armored monsters are reckless enough to expose their weak spots to your fire. The second AP shell penetrates 195 mm of armor, but its effectiveness considerably increases to 530 HP of damage. Do not hide your ammo panel in battle and switch to the second type of AP shells more often.

While playing on the ISU-130, stay away from close combat and follow the offensive of your allies, or take an advantageous position and defend the lane. Team up with your allies: your traverse speed is not good enough to confront a medium or light tank on your own.

If you keep these tips in mind and fire accurately, the ISU-130 will show perfect battle performance and bring you piles of credits!

  • When researching a vehicle, you may choose to apply or save the discount. This is convenient if you want to spend it on another vehicle.
  • The discount can be applied only to experience required for researching the vehicle. It doesn't apply to intermediary modules.

Score at least one victory per day, use certificates, and unlock the vehicles you've always wanted—just take it easy!
