World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

The upcoming update is smaller in scope than some of our other updates. But we are releasing it in the shortest time possible, which means that all subsequent updates will be released earlier too. Update 5.3 will be available on September 12.

Main Changes and Improvements
  • Bonus containers (the ones you got used to opening every day) were moved to the separate Containers tab in the Store. A gift icon will notify you of a new container that can be opened for free.
  • Now you can also open bonus containers from the window with the description of their content.
  • The Tasks button in the Garage was renamed Missions. Only combat missions will be displayed here.
  • With Update 5.3, after completing the battle tutorial, newcomers will play mixed-type battles for some time. In these battles, bots fight instead of some players. Gradually, the number of players in mixed-type battles will increase, bots will become stronger, and their number will reduce. Thus, mixed-type battles will smoothly change into regular battles.
  • The mechanism of adding maps in regular battles was changed:
    • Battles on only Tier I vehicles are fought on the Fort Despair map.
    • Battles on Tier I–II vehicles are fought on the Fort Despair and Mines maps.
    • When entering a battle on Tier II–III vehicles or Tier III–IV vehicles, you can play on the Fort Despair, Mines, or Mirage maps.
    • The Black Goldville, Dead Rail, Copperfield, Falls Creek, and Himmelsdorf maps were added to the battles on Tier IV–V vehicles.
    • Starting from Tier VI, all maps are available.
  • To make battles more diverse, the map selection mechanism was updated. Now, the server stores the last ten maps you fought on and tries to select something new. Since it is not easy to satisfy the demands of all players, you can still get a map from your last ten. But even in this case, the system checks all maps, starting from those you played on most rarely.
  • Repairs in training rooms became free.
  • Characteristics of M4A1 Revalorisé were improved:
    • Reload time was decreased from 10.54 to 9.58 s.
    • Cost of Armor-Piercing Composite Rigid shells was reduced from 1,200 to 760.
    • Turret armor (front/sides/rear) was reinforced from 63/63/63 to 90/65/65 mm.
    • Gun mantlet armor was enhanced from 89 to 100 mm.
  • The Mecha Phoenix legendary camouflage for the O-47 tank is now permanently available, not only as part of bundles in the Store. Cost to unlock: 1,590 gold.

Bug Fixes and Improvements
  • The voiceover, which played upon damaging the suspension or gun by a penetrating hit, was changed from "Enemy is hit!" to "Penetration".
  • On sensor devices, the work of Auto-aim was fixed in cases when you track one vehicle with your reticle, but the shell flies towards another.
  • Upon unlocking a camouflage or attachment, it is now installed automatically if the selected slot is empty. Camouflage is still installed manually in other slots.
  • Mouse sensitivity settings are no longer reset when switching to another tab of the settings.
  • The bug, where the exhaust smoke effect was not played 100 seconds after the battle started, was fixed.
  • Replays no longer freeze when you pause and fast-forward them.
  • The LIVE indicator is now displayed in the menu once the tournament is live-streamed.
  • The bug, where the notification of insufficient consumables was displayed when they were installed in all slots, was fixed.
  • Various screens, notifications, and descriptions were improved.
  • General bugs and client crashes were fixed.
World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

What is the T 55A? It’s when you break into a drawn-out shootout, take out a couple of enemies and proudly leave the chaos you caused with others fearful that you are coming for them. When you ricochet a shell from a devastating gun, just smile and don’t give them a chance to reload. When you’ve tracked your prey, circle and tear them apart, then enter the heat of battle with enemy mediums. And all of this can take place in just one battle!

Until September 14, the “Universal Fighter” bundle with the Enriched T 55A medium tank is available in the Store. All the equipment is unlocked in the tank—simply press “Battle!” and start unleashing carnage.

The T 55A is ready for anything

Stemming from the development of the iconic Soviet T-54 tank, the T 55A received its best traits: it’s dynamic with excellent maneuverability, a fast-turning turret and a quick-firing and accurate gun, even at full speed. Add to the mix great armor and you get a jack of all trades.

Each of the T 55A’s strengths are proven by its stats. At first glance, these figures are obvious: this tank will rip and tear.

Although the frontal armor is lacking 20 mm compared to the T-54, the T 55A remains a sufficiently protected machine by medium tank standards. These lost millimeters in the body are almost unnoticeable: thanks to the slope, the effective thickness of the frontal armor reaches approximately 200 mm. The turret has thick armor and can ricochet—this will save a lot of your HP.

The decent armor doesn’t prevent the T 55A from being a very mobile machine with high power-to-weight ratio. You can quickly accelerate and overcome obstacles at an average speed of 45 km/h, reaching 50–52 km/h in a straight line or 58 km/h when going downhill.

The T 55A is armed with one of the fastest guns available to Tier IX medium tanks. Without any upgrades or equipment, you will fire every 7 seconds, dealing 310 damage per shot. The armor penetration of AP shells will suffice for any occasion, if we don’t include frontal crossfire with heavies. Such situations should be avoided, but if it’s already pressing on you, use HEAT to penetrate an average of 270 mm.

Effective gun + Enriched T 55A = increased credit income for every fight

In addition to the basic stats, the gun also has excellent stabilization. Movement, turning and firing minimally affect the scatter so you will be able to shoot effectively even at full speed.

Like his researchable “elder brother”, the T 55A suggests an aggressive style of play. Capture the high land, avoid the enemy from the flanks, break into the very heat of battle, distract and torment enemy tanks in a most brash manner. The T 55A is one of the vehicles that can take out anyone and win a fight that seemed lost. If two of them are in a platoon, someone’s in trouble.

The T 55A is not a Premium tank. Its earnings correspond to that of Tier IX vehicles with activated enrichment. If necessary, the characteristics of the T 55A may be adjusted to improve game balance.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Try out a new Premium tank destroyer and enjoy its unusual gameplay. The gun of the ISU-130 uses two types of armor-piercing shells: the first penetrates 230 mm of armor and deals 460 HP of damage, the second penetrates 195 mm of armor and deals 530 HP of damage. When combined with a high rate of fire and equipment, this new tank destroyer can inflict up to 3,600 HP of damage per minute. Devastate enemy ranks and fill your coffers with credits!

Bundles including the new ISU-130 with different sets of equipment are available in the in-game Store until September 14. Pick the bundle you like and roll out!

A 130 mm Caliber Argument

The ISU-130 is a gun first and foremost. The rest is just a means of transportation. A quick glance at this vehicle's characteristics is enough to see that the ISU-130 is the ultimate damage dealer. It will teach your enemies the true meaning of damage — imminent and devastating!

While dealing damage to the enemy, act wisely. Don't forget that you have almost no armor. If you're lucky enough, the large gun mantlet will protect you from enemy shells. But don't overestimate it and be careful. The dynamic characteristics of the ISU-130 are similar to those of its researchable "brother" the ISU-152. This means that the ISU-130 features an average speed of 30 km/h (without equipment) and turns around rather slowly.

But you will forget all about its drawbacks after taking your first shot. Perfect gun characteristics and enhanced shells make this new tank destroyer a dangerous opponent, which will quickly relieve the enemy team of excessive vehicles.

If you see a well-armored tank in your reticle, use your main shells: they penetrate 230 mm of armor and deal 460 HP of damage. That's enough to make enemies think twice before approaching you.

The real fun begins when you meet weaker armored tanks or when heavily armored monsters are reckless enough to expose their weak spots to your fire. The second AP shell penetrates 195 mm of armor, but its effectiveness considerably increases to 530 HP of damage. Do not hide your ammo panel in battle and switch to the second type of AP shells more often.

While playing on the ISU-130, stay away from close combat and follow the offensive of your allies, or take an advantageous position and defend the lane. Team up with your allies: your traverse speed is not good enough to confront a medium or light tank on your own.

If you keep these tips in mind and fire accurately, the ISU-130 will show perfect battle performance and bring you piles of credits!

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

A new French Premium tank with roots in America enters the fight! Lead the M4A1 Revalorisé into battle and rip apart enemy vehicles with its precise, hard-hitting gun to earn impressive amounts of credits in every fight!

Until August 31, the “French Legionnaire” bundle with the Premium M4A1 Revalorisé is available in the game store. All nine of the equipment slots are open, so you can fight with maximum efficiency!

Upgraded Sherman

Why’s this “Sherman” at Tier VIII, when all his American counterparts are Tiers V-VI? Well, the colossal firepower that the French engineers gave the M4A1 when upgrading it is why.

The armor of the French medium is nothing more than a formality, but this isn’t something new to French enthusiasts. The armor won’t stop many shots and you can only counter this by keeping alert and on the move. Luckily, you have a powerful engine to help you with this—the tank can quickly accelerate and maneuver to dodge shells.

The main feature of the M4A1 Revalorisé is its magnificent firepower. Its gun rarely fires, but is effective and damaging when it does: 310 damage per shot with 200 mm of armor penetration. For thicker armored opponents, the arsenal of M4A1 holds shells that are able to break through 250 mm with an average damage of 260.

Experienced commanders will appreciate the additional advantage of the gun—a 10-degree angle of depression. For this medium, it’s very useful when hiding behind terrain as it gives an extra level of protection from enemy shells.

The role of the M4A1 Revalorisé in battle is fire support for more solid medium tanks or “heavies”, drawing damage from the flanks. Avoid close combat at all times and deal damage from afar. Choose your route so there’re always allies or cover nearby for when you need to reload.

With great power comes great responsibility: leave the brawling to the others, you need to utilize your alpha effectively. Taking this tank into battle isn’t an easy ride, but when mastered, it will reward you with great amounts of credits and excellent battle results.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

In Update 5.1, we are continuing with our goal to make players` lives easier. We have made some big changes: we have improved the matchmaker and made mastery badges accumulative. Continuing our work from 5.0, Spare Parts have now been fully removed from the game, and all remaining Spare Parts in players` inventories have been converted to credits.

We have also focused on improving the lives of new tankers with the goal of making them enjoy the game more and become better players—we have introduced phased access to new game features to make it easier for new players to learn and understand them.

Learn more about all the changes taking effect from July 31.

New Attachments
  • The Corporal rare attachment was introduced for Tier X French vehicles: the AMX 50 B, AMX 50 Foch (155), Bat.-Châtillon 25 t. Cost to unlock: 4,000 gold.

  • The Commander rare attachment was introduced for Tier X American vehicles: the M48A1 Patton, T110E3, T110E4, T110E5, T57 Heavy. Cost to unlock: 4,000 gold.

Accumulative Mastery Badges
Previously, players were awarded one mastery badge (Ace Tanker, Class I, Class II, Class III) per vehicle. Starting from Update 5.1, mastery badges will become accumulative, similar to medals. Statistics screens in the RECORD were changed accordingly:
  • In the Summary tab, the "Mastery badge: Ace Tanker" section was renamed "Vehicles with Ace Tanker badges". As before, this tab will show the number of vehicles with the Ace Tanker mastery badge and the total number of vehicles that participated in battles.
  • In the "Summary"> "Valuable Awards" tab, the number of Ace Tanker mastery badges will be displayed.
  • In the "Vehicles">"Awards" tab, the number of mastery badges for each vehicle will be displayed.
  • The total number of mastery badges will be displayed in the "Awards"> "All" > "Battle Hero" tab.

Easier Life for Rookies
We have set up a global change to the initial game experience aimed at familiarizing new players with the variety of features in World of Tanks Blitz. Starting from this update, new players will explore game mechanics gradually as the tier of their vehicles increases.
  • Missions and bonus containers will be available starting from Tier III.
  • The Storage will become available when the player gets a vehicle of at least Tier IV or any item, which is kept in the Storage.
  • Players will get access to the game chat when they get a vehicle of at least Tier IV or a friend request/platoon invite. The battle chat is available all the time.
  • Access to camouflages and attachments will open after the player gets a vehicle of Tier V or above. After that, the player will be able to apply camouflages and attachments to vehicles of any tier.
  • Provisions can be used for vehicles of Tier IV and above. For vehicles of Tier IV, one provision slot is unlocked, for Tier V—two slots, for Tier VI and above—three slots. Players who have previously installed provisions, which will become unavailable after the update, will get full compensation in credits.
  • For vehicles of Tier I–II, one consumable slot is unlocked, for Tier III—two slots, for Tier IV and above—three slots. Players who have previously installed consumables, which will become unavailable after the update, will get full compensation in credits.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

The new Premium AMX M4 mle. 49 breaks stereotypes! This Tier VIII heavy tank doesn`t have a drum autoloader, but it boasts very solid armor—quite uncommon for French vehicles. Check out this new tank and be the first to command it!

Bundles with the AMX M4 mle. 49 are available in the Offers tab of the Store until July 20.

Armed and Well-Armored!

The AMX M4 49 is a true heavy tank in every way. No drum autoloader, no paper-thin armor, and no high speed. The AMX M4 49 is all about thick sloped frontal armor, a solid turret, and good armament. Here are the detailed characteristics!

Looks good, right? And woe to those who confuse the AMX M4 49 with its researchable younger brother the AMX M4 45 in the heat of battle! Instead of the delicate French armor, the enemy shell will meet the rock-solid 175 mm protection.

To confidently penetrate the upper armor plate of the AMX M4 49, the enemy will need at least 230 mm of penetration capability. Less effective guns will not dent this armor or will only penetrate it once in a while if they are very lucky. The most vulnerable spot of this tank`s front armor is the lower plate. It is only 80 mm thick, so most damage will come from hits to this area.

The AMX M4 49`s frontal armor also has 150 mm "cheeks". Under ideal conditions, it is almost impossible to penetrate them, but this construction complicates angling. So if you expose your side to the enemy, you may catch a penetrating hit.

The AMX M4 mle. 49 has a solid turret with 250 mm of frontal armor—that`s enough to confront the most powerful guns. But the turret also has a weak spot: a small part of the commander`s cupola stands out above the main armor and easily takes damage. However, it`s not as easy to hit the commander`s cupola when the tank is on the move.

A solid turret is good on its own. And when accompanied by a gun with a 10-degree depression angle—it`s a dream come true! This characteristic allows the AMX M4 49 to hide not only the lower armor plate, but the entire hull. Block damage with the turret and take advantage of terrain irregularities.

The new tank is armed with the 100 mm SA47 gun familiar to many players from the AMX 50 100 "drummer". This time, the gun comes without the drum autoloader. The AMX M4 49 has a higher rate of fire than most vehicles of the same tier or type, but it deals rather moderate single-shot damage of 310 HP. However, it is compensated by a high penetration capability, which guarantees damage upon hit and a low percentage of non-penetrating hits.

The AMX M4 49 features just a little bit of the famous French maneuverability. But that`s enough for a comfortable game as this tank is heavy indeed. This 70-ton vehicle is powered by a 1,000 hp engine. It allows the AMX M4 49 to accelerate to 20 km/h in just a few seconds and reach 30 km/h in 8–10 seconds. This tank will seldom accelerate to 40 km/h, but it doesn`t actually need to to outperform its competitors by dynamics.

The AMX M4 mle. 49 is an exemplary heavy tank. Reliable protection, a balanced gun, and good maneuverability for a 70-ton vehicle make this new "Frenchman" a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. And its increased profitability will help you substantially replenish your credit supplies after every battle.

Take command of the AMX M4 49 and try out the true French armor!

Commanders, we suggest that you dedicate this July to the things you are great at: winning battles and researching new vehicles! This month we have a lot in store for you! Discounts on all researchable vehicles, five times as much XP for winning battles, and an event offering additional rewards for earning your daily XP bonus on each of your tanks! All this is waiting for you!

And now—the details

The Star-Spangled July event will be held from July 2 through July 20. Different activities will take place on different dates, so check the schedule below to make sure you don’t miss anything.
  • The series of stages with rewards for daily x2 XP modifiers will be available from July 4 through July 14. Players can complete the remaining stages using gold before the end of the event.
  • The x5 XP bonus for victories will be available for 24 hours from July 4 to July 5, and for 24 hours from July 13 to July 14.
  • Discounts on vehicles, boosters, and Free XP will be available from July 4 through July 14.
  • "U.S.A. 15 in 1" containers will be available in the Store from July 2 through July 14.
The event is directly related to XP modifiers for daily first victories, so it starts at a different time on different servers—the time that XP modifiers are refreshed.
  • CIS: 8:00 (MSK)
  • Europe: 14:00 (CEST)
  • North America: 6:00 (PT) / 9:00 (ET)
  • Asia: 14:00 (UTC+8)

Series of Stages

From July 4 through July 20, the "Star-Spangled July" series of stages with rewards will be available in the Garage.

Upon completing all stages, you will get:
  • 1 day of Premium Account
  • 1 Special KpfPz 70 container
  • 2 Huge containers
  • 200 Special Сooldown boosters
  • 20 Rare Combat XP boosters
  • 20 Rare Free XP boosters
  • 20 Rare Crew XP boosters
  • 15,000 Free XP
  • 150,000 credits
To complete stages, you will need Stars, which you will literally have to shoot down. From July 4 through July 14, you will get them for your daily first victories on Tier V–X vehicles.
  • Each earned daily x2 XP modifier will bring you 2 Stars, x5—5 Stars.
  • Premium Account and platoon membership will add 1 Star, each.
  • And no multipliers!
To complete the entire series with all branches, you will need 1,150 Stars.

X5 XP Bonus

The x5 XP modifier will be effective for 2 days: for 24 hours from July 4 to July 5, and for 24 hours from July 13 to July 14. During these 2 days, you will get 5 Stars for your first victories on Tier V–X vehicles, and as many as 7 Stars if you have Premium Account and play in a platoon!

Don't forget that daily XP modifiers are refreshed twice a day. Check the refresh timer in the upper right corner of the Garage, fight more battles, and collect Stars twice as fast.

Victories in vehicles celebrating their Birthday will give you 5 Stars.

Discounts and Bonuses

The more vehicles you have in your Garage, the easier it is to collect Stars! Activate boosters, convert Elite XP into Free XP at a favorable rate, and expand your tank fleet. From July 4 through July 14, enjoy:

Discounts on researchable vehicles:
  • Tiers II–V: 50%
  • Tiers VI–VII: 25%
  • Tier VIII: 15%

Containers with a Guaranteed Tank

From July 2 through July 14, offers with "U.S.A. 15 in 1" containers will be available in the Store. They include only American Premium vehicles and nothing more. Each time you open a container, you get 1 guaranteed U.S. Premium tank out of the 15:
  • T95E2, M6A2E1 EXP, T26E4 SuperPershing, T34, or T34 Independence with a 5% drop chance
  • T28 Concept, M6A2E1, or T23E3 with a 9% drop chance
  • M4A2E4 Sherman, T14, or Ram II with a 12% drop chance
  • M22 Locust or T1E6 with a 36% drop chance
  • T2 Light Tank or T7 Combat Car with a 38% drop chance
The drop chance is the same for each vehicle within a group. If you get a vehicle that is already available in your Garage twice, you will be able to open another container for free.

A Rookie in Our Ranks—the T95E2

There's a new recruit among the American vehicles: the T95E2 is expecting its first fight. Its drop chance is 1% for the "U.S.A. 15 in 1" containers, the same as any other Tier VIII vehicle. Lucky tankers will take command of a Premium medium tank with small dispersion when firing on the move and comfortable gun traverse limits. Check out the full characteristics to see all of its advantages:

Is it a bird... Is it a plane... Nope, definitely a bird! An American eagle, to be precise. It's a new metallic bird-shaped attachment available for the T95E2 for 3,000 Gold.

Enjoy the game, collect Stars, and get your rewards!
