World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

In Update 5.1, we are continuing with our goal to make players` lives easier. We have made some big changes: we have improved the matchmaker and made mastery badges accumulative. Continuing our work from 5.0, Spare Parts have now been fully removed from the game, and all remaining Spare Parts in players` inventories have been converted to credits.

We have also focused on improving the lives of new tankers with the goal of making them enjoy the game more and become better players—we have introduced phased access to new game features to make it easier for new players to learn and understand them.

Learn more about all the changes taking effect from July 31.

New Attachments
  • The Corporal rare attachment was introduced for Tier X French vehicles: the AMX 50 B, AMX 50 Foch (155), Bat.-Châtillon 25 t. Cost to unlock: 4,000 gold.

  • The Commander rare attachment was introduced for Tier X American vehicles: the M48A1 Patton, T110E3, T110E4, T110E5, T57 Heavy. Cost to unlock: 4,000 gold.

Accumulative Mastery Badges
Previously, players were awarded one mastery badge (Ace Tanker, Class I, Class II, Class III) per vehicle. Starting from Update 5.1, mastery badges will become accumulative, similar to medals. Statistics screens in the RECORD were changed accordingly:
  • In the Summary tab, the "Mastery badge: Ace Tanker" section was renamed "Vehicles with Ace Tanker badges". As before, this tab will show the number of vehicles with the Ace Tanker mastery badge and the total number of vehicles that participated in battles.
  • In the "Summary"> "Valuable Awards" tab, the number of Ace Tanker mastery badges will be displayed.
  • In the "Vehicles">"Awards" tab, the number of mastery badges for each vehicle will be displayed.
  • The total number of mastery badges will be displayed in the "Awards"> "All" > "Battle Hero" tab.

Easier Life for Rookies
We have set up a global change to the initial game experience aimed at familiarizing new players with the variety of features in World of Tanks Blitz. Starting from this update, new players will explore game mechanics gradually as the tier of their vehicles increases.
  • Missions and bonus containers will be available starting from Tier III.
  • The Storage will become available when the player gets a vehicle of at least Tier IV or any item, which is kept in the Storage.
  • Players will get access to the game chat when they get a vehicle of at least Tier IV or a friend request/platoon invite. The battle chat is available all the time.
  • Access to camouflages and attachments will open after the player gets a vehicle of Tier V or above. After that, the player will be able to apply camouflages and attachments to vehicles of any tier.
  • Provisions can be used for vehicles of Tier IV and above. For vehicles of Tier IV, one provision slot is unlocked, for Tier V—two slots, for Tier VI and above—three slots. Players who have previously installed provisions, which will become unavailable after the update, will get full compensation in credits.
  • For vehicles of Tier I–II, one consumable slot is unlocked, for Tier III—two slots, for Tier IV and above—three slots. Players who have previously installed consumables, which will become unavailable after the update, will get full compensation in credits.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

The new Premium AMX M4 mle. 49 breaks stereotypes! This Tier VIII heavy tank doesn`t have a drum autoloader, but it boasts very solid armor—quite uncommon for French vehicles. Check out this new tank and be the first to command it!

Bundles with the AMX M4 mle. 49 are available in the Offers tab of the Store until July 20.

Armed and Well-Armored!

The AMX M4 49 is a true heavy tank in every way. No drum autoloader, no paper-thin armor, and no high speed. The AMX M4 49 is all about thick sloped frontal armor, a solid turret, and good armament. Here are the detailed characteristics!

Looks good, right? And woe to those who confuse the AMX M4 49 with its researchable younger brother the AMX M4 45 in the heat of battle! Instead of the delicate French armor, the enemy shell will meet the rock-solid 175 mm protection.

To confidently penetrate the upper armor plate of the AMX M4 49, the enemy will need at least 230 mm of penetration capability. Less effective guns will not dent this armor or will only penetrate it once in a while if they are very lucky. The most vulnerable spot of this tank`s front armor is the lower plate. It is only 80 mm thick, so most damage will come from hits to this area.

The AMX M4 49`s frontal armor also has 150 mm "cheeks". Under ideal conditions, it is almost impossible to penetrate them, but this construction complicates angling. So if you expose your side to the enemy, you may catch a penetrating hit.

The AMX M4 mle. 49 has a solid turret with 250 mm of frontal armor—that`s enough to confront the most powerful guns. But the turret also has a weak spot: a small part of the commander`s cupola stands out above the main armor and easily takes damage. However, it`s not as easy to hit the commander`s cupola when the tank is on the move.

A solid turret is good on its own. And when accompanied by a gun with a 10-degree depression angle—it`s a dream come true! This characteristic allows the AMX M4 49 to hide not only the lower armor plate, but the entire hull. Block damage with the turret and take advantage of terrain irregularities.

The new tank is armed with the 100 mm SA47 gun familiar to many players from the AMX 50 100 "drummer". This time, the gun comes without the drum autoloader. The AMX M4 49 has a higher rate of fire than most vehicles of the same tier or type, but it deals rather moderate single-shot damage of 310 HP. However, it is compensated by a high penetration capability, which guarantees damage upon hit and a low percentage of non-penetrating hits.

The AMX M4 49 features just a little bit of the famous French maneuverability. But that`s enough for a comfortable game as this tank is heavy indeed. This 70-ton vehicle is powered by a 1,000 hp engine. It allows the AMX M4 49 to accelerate to 20 km/h in just a few seconds and reach 30 km/h in 8–10 seconds. This tank will seldom accelerate to 40 km/h, but it doesn`t actually need to to outperform its competitors by dynamics.

The AMX M4 mle. 49 is an exemplary heavy tank. Reliable protection, a balanced gun, and good maneuverability for a 70-ton vehicle make this new "Frenchman" a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. And its increased profitability will help you substantially replenish your credit supplies after every battle.

Take command of the AMX M4 49 and try out the true French armor!

The next game update will be released tomorrow—on June 20! The update number, round like the turret of the AMX 40, implies some major changes. You will enjoy easier equipment unlocking and a bright morning on Vineyards, and you will never again forget to resupply your ammo before battle. But that's not all. Read on for the details.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJYu1RqLgC4
Equipment

The equipment unlocking process became simpler, and Spare Parts will be gradually removed from the game.

    • Level III slots—from 2,500 to 400,000 credits depending on the vehicle tier.

General Changes
  • On May 25, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force. It is aimed at ensuring compliance with data collection standards and keeping players informed of what kind of personal data the company collects, how long it is stored, and for what purposes it is used. In this regard:
    • Upon first launching the application, the player is asked to confirm that they accept the terms and conditions of the License Agreement and Privacy Policy.
    • The Legal Information item was added to the Garage sidebar menu, where the player can read the License Agreement and find information about holders of rights to the software and technologies used in the game.
  • The Vineyards map was reworked: evening twilight was changed to morning lighting, the layout of capture points was adjusted in Supremacy mode. Cover and shoot-through positions were re-arranged.
  • Players will no longer enter battles without shells. From now on, if less than 25% of the ammunition remains on the selected vehicle, the "Battle!" button will become inactive and the player will be asked to resupply ammunition.
  • Cooldown boosters can now be combined into more powerful ones as follows:
    • 3 Standard boosters = 1 Rare booster
    • 2 Rare boosters = 1 Special booster
  • The average damage column for each vehicle was added to the Vehicles tab of the player profile. And upon tapping the icon of any column (sorting change), the vehicle list is automatically scrolled upwards.
  • Target tracking accuracy in Auto-aim mode was improved on mobile devices. Now, the server is engaged in the tracking process. This allows for minimizing reticle jumps in the case of high ping or small, but sudden movements of a vehicle. As a result, aiming at short and medium ranges was improved.
  • A pre-battle timer was added for tournaments.
  • Replays can now be watched in Editor mode.
  • The menu button was removed from the display screen for replays. Instead, the Back button was added to the upper left corner that allows players to exit from the replay.
  • When the game client window is inactive, the game icon for the Steam version will blink on the Windows taskbar when a battle starts or if an opponent for a quick tournament has been found.
Bug Fixes
  • The issue, where the game client froze upon first spotting a vehicle with camouflage, was fixed. Previously, the game collected data required for camouflage rendering immediately upon first spotting of the vehicle. Now, this data is collected when the battle is loading.
  • The character limitation for training room descriptions was extended to 400.
  • The issue with the Stridsvagn 74A2, where the camera was positioned too high in Sniper mode, was fixed.
  • The Elite Experience earned on Premium vehicles is now converted to Free Experience before the Experience earned on researchable vehicles.
  • Error 505, which occurred during the update of the Android version of the game in the Play Market, was fixed.

  • The issues with sounds playing during pauses and after rewinding were fixed for replays.
  • Various screens, notifications, and descriptions were improved.
  • General bugs and client crashes were fixed.
World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Meet the 59-Patton—a new Premium tank assembled from the parts of two powerful vehicles: the Type 59 and M48 Patton. This experimental prototype designed by Chinese engineers has arrived in the in-game Store! Find out more about this unique beast!

Until June 20, containers with a chance to get the Premium 59-Patton tank and other rewards will be available in the in-game Store. Each container also includes 59-Patton Charms. After you have collected 100 59-Patton Charms, you will receive a GUARANTEED tank.

More about the 59-Patton

This tank features the hull of the Soviet-Chinese vehicle and the turret of the American vehicle. This unexpected combination creates interesting results. Besides the exotic appearance, the 59-Patton received excellent characteristics:

The tank retained all the features of the Type 59’s hull and suspension: 100 mm sloped armor, a low silhouette, and moderate dynamics. The turret inherited from the M48 Patton comes with a previous version of the commander’s cupola with weak armor. However, this drawback is fully compensated for with a fast-firing gun with good stabilization and excellent depression and elevation angles. Among the Chinese high-tier tanks, only the 59-Patton can easily adapt to irregular terrain thanks to 10 degrees of gun depression.

Armor-Piercing shells fired from the American gun can penetrate armor with an average thickness of 180 mm. High-Explosive Anti-Tank shells with a penetration capacity of 268 mm can easily penetrate almost any enemy. As you are well aware, the more damage you cause, the more credits you get, especially on a Premium vehicle. Go for it on the 59-Patton!

Accrual of Football Fan's Pins in rating battles

In rating battles, Football Fan's Pins are calculated using the multiplier depending on your league and rating:
  • 0.5—multiplier for the Bronze League, when the player has a rating of 0–999 points
  • 0.6—multiplier for the Bronze League, when the player has a rating of 1,000–1,999 points
  • 0.8—multiplier for the Silver League
  • 1—multiplier for the Gold League
  • 1.15—multiplier for the Platinum League
  • 1.3—multiplier for the Diamond League
EXAMPLE: You fought a battle in the Platinum League and earned 1,000 base Combat XP, which is equivalent to 100 Football Fan's Pins. 100 Football Fan's Pins are multiplied by the 1.15 Platinum League multiplier. You get 115 Football Fan's Pins.

No multipliers are applied to the Football Fan's Pins earned in calibration battles: 100 Combat XP will earn you 10 Football Fan's Pins. The number of Pins earned in calibration battles is influenced by Premium Account and national football camouflage only.
Members of the Platinum and Diamond Leagues will earn more Football Fan's Pins in rating battles. We reduced the multiplier for Silver and Bronze Leagues to avoid cases where players artificially reduce their ratings in order to earn additional Pins in battles against weak opponents.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

On the outside, it bears a low silhouette with a predatory shark nose and a solid turret equipped with devices for all combat situations. There’s a long-barrel gun with an ejector and a thermo-insulating cover that can't wait to riddle the enemy with shells. Inside, the tank features technical gizmos that are way ahead of its time.

Change your tanker uniform into a secret agent's tuxedo and take command of the Chieftain Mk.6!

Until 8 June, containers with a chance to get the enriched Chieftain Mk.6 and other rewards will be available in the in-game Store. Get the Chieftain Mk.6 and adorn it with the Royal legendary camouflage!

The Royal legendary camouflage

The Royal camouflage combines an urban warpaint on the sides and the British flag pattern on the top of the tank. Fight like a king in the colors of the legendary Union Jack!

  • Changes the tank name in battle to Chieftain Mk.6 Royal.
  • +2% to vehicle concealment on maps corresponding to the selected slot.
  • Cost to unlock: 2,840 Gold.

More about the Chieftain Mk.6

In the game, the main battle tank of the United Kingdom—the Chieftain Mk.6—is a versatile heavy tank with huge damage per minute, the best penetration capacity for its type, and perfect maneuverability. Check out its characteristics and see for yourself:

But figures do not always provide a comprehensive picture. The Chieftain Mk.6 has only 127 mm of frontal armor. At first sight, that's not enough at all for a Tier X heavy tank. But just look at the slope angle of this armor: in some areas its effective thickness reaches almost 400 mm!

As per the design, the driver operates the tank in the supine position, while the other crew members are in the turret. Such a construction allows for a heavily sloped front that perfectly bounces enemy shells.

"No way! The enemy will fire at the lower plate!" the experienced tanker would say. And they’d be right. The lower part of the front armor plate is a weak spot for the new British tank. The thin sides will not allow for angling, despite additional screens. But give this warrior a chance! Just let the Chieftain Mk.6 take a firing position, and you will forget all about its weaknesses.

The Chieftain Mk.6 doesn't actually need a lot of armor as it is perfectly suited to sniping from cover. The gun depression angle of 10 degrees allows it to only expose its well-armored parts to the enemy. The enemy becomes an easy target, while making ineffectual attempts to outflank the Chieftain Mk.6 or penetrate its turret. Quite a different story, isn't it?

The gun penetrates an average of 260 mm of armor and deals 400 HP of damage per shot. Damage per minute is 2,780 HP, and over 3,000 HP with equipment and provisions applied. No one wants to mess with this kind of firepower!

The Chieftain Mk.6 isn’t just good at positional combat—an accurate gun with perfect stabilization and fast aiming allows the tank to fire accurately while driving at full speed. This is especially helpful when you attack vehicles with weak armor, which means you don't need to look for their vulnerable spots.

The gun of the Chieftain Mk.6 was one of the first to be put in a thermo-insulating cover. It serves as protection against thermal distortions that reduce firing accuracy.

The Chieftain is a rather speedy tank for its type. Its high specific power and crossing capacity guarantee fast acceleration and that it’ll reach top speed on hard terrain. The good maneuverability of its chassis and a very fast turret make the Chieftain Mk.6 a formidable opponent for medium tanks. They may try to circle around your tank, but they’ll soon regret it.

The Chieftain Mk.6 is not a Premium tank. Its profitability corresponds to the profitability of a researchable Tier X vehicle with activated enrichment. The characteristics of the Chieftain Mk.6 may be adjusted in future if it is necessary for improving the game balance.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Main Changes and New Features
  • The Alpenstadt map was added. It will be available for vehicles of Tier VI and above. This location is available both in Encounter battles and Supremacy mode.
  • Replays were introduced—an opportunity to record and re-watch battles:
    • The replays menu was added to the side-bar menu.
    • You can enable or disable replay recording in the Other tab of the settings. Here you can also limit the number of saved replays.
    • To store one replay, up to 3 MB of space is required.
    • For successfully replaying a battle, the current version of the game needs to be the same as the version in which the replay was recorded.
    • You can watch replays from the file system of your device without connecting to the Internet.
    • Replays not saved in the file system of the device will be deleted after the game client updates.
  • You will now need gold to unlock the Unexpectable camouflage: from 65 to 1,200 of gold depending on the vehicle tier.
  • For the IS-3, a rare attachment was added—Steel Pike. Cost to unlock: 3,000 of gold.

  • Music for the battle loading screen was updated (9 new themes for different maps were added). Also, 3 new themes for the battle results screen (victory, draw, or defeat) were introduced.
  • The following settings were added:
    • "National crew voice" to the Other tab. Changes the language of voice notifications depending on the vehicle's nation. For vehicles of the Hybrid nation, the language selected in the game client will be used irrespective of the crew voice setting. This option is disabled by default.
    • "Spotted Allies" to the Markers tab. Displays the light bulb above spotted allies in battle. This option is disabled by default.
    • "Reload icon above vehicles" in the Markers tab. Displays the reload icon above allied vehicles in battle. This option is enabled by default.
    • "Reload icon in the team list" in the HUD tab. Displays the reload icon next to allies in the team list. This option is disabled by default.
  • Due to the introduction of the new settings, reload shortcuts (F8) were replaced with the "Hold position!" shortcut.
  • In the player's profile, information about the total number of battles by type (regular, rating, and tournament) was added under the total number of battles fought.
  • A new screen with information about leagues was added to the player's profile next to the rating. To get to this screen, the player needs to tap the “i” icon.
  • The names of the teams currently enrolling players for tournaments will now be displayed on the corresponding panel.
Improvements and Fixed Issues
  • The Menu and Chat buttons are now placed further apart in battle.
  • The alignment of the shell tracer and the gun barrel, which resulted in the incorrect display of shells fired on the move, was removed. On the server, the shot was fired from a certain point, while the game client rendered the tracer later and from another point.  As a result, shells fired on the move seemed to fly through vehicles. Now such situations will become less frequent.

  • A bug, where the game client and the server went out of sync when the turret rotated 180° (or close values), was fixed.
  • The voiceover, which played at the moment when a shell directly hit the module of the enemy vehicle and penetrated it without causing damage, was changed from "We didn't penetrate their armor!" to "Enemy is hit!".
  • The full name of the leKpz M 41 90 mm in the Cruel Twist camouflage is now displayed in battles.
  • The matchmaker rule was changed for platoons including two rare vehicles. Now exotic platoons will not have to wait too long in the pre-battle queue.
  • Various screens, notifications, and descriptions were improved.
  • General bugs and client crashes were fixed.
World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

The K-91 is doubly rare: it is new and it features a drum magazine, which is as rare for Soviet vehicles as a platoon of two TOG IIs* in regular battles. However, the K-91 "drummer" is not one of those tanks that simply stand in a prominent place serving as decoration for your Garage. It is a natural-born fighter that will move mountains under your skillful command!

Until 23 May, containers with a chance to get the enriched K-91 and other rewards will be available in the in-game Store. Each K-91 container also includes K-91 Charms. After you have collected 100 K-91 Charms, you will receive a GUARANTEED tank.

More about the K-91

The new "drummer" is similar to the T57 Heavy: both tanks feature the typical mobility of heavies, vulnerable hulls, but solid turrets and perfect firepower. Here are the detailed characteristics!

When you drive the K-91, you should forget about the hull armor. The front armor plate of 100 mm is well-sloped and ensures rather good protection. But this tank has a huge, almost vertical, lower armor plate, even its thickness of 120 mm doesn't save the situation. Angling may prove to be helpful, but it is better to hide the hull whenever possible.

When the hull is safe, you can block enemy damage with more confidence. The turret also has some weak spots, but the enemy will have a hard time hitting them. Assuming the K-91 isn’t simply standing still, the turret can survive many hits.

The K-91 boasts good penetration—it won't waste your shells. The three-shell drum magazine offers 930 HP of total damage with AP shells. The K-91 can deal such damage in just 7 seconds. The potential total damage caused by its French rival, the AMX 50 120, is 400 HP higher, and it needs just 6 seconds to fire the entire drum magazine. But the K-91 reloads its entire magazine 9 seconds faster. Thus, the K-91 spends less time being totally helpless.

The gun of the new "drummer" has one secret advantage: very high velocity AP shells. You won't need to anticipate the positions of moving targets or make huge adjustments for lead anymore.

The K-91 is a sociable tank, well-suited for fire support. It likes platoons or simply reliable allies. You may find it difficult to play alone on this tank. When your drum magazine reloads, you will need to either escape or ask your ally to cover you. Since the K-91 can't escape, you only have the second option.

Combine vehicles in a platoon so that you are able to destroy an enemy with one magazine plus 1-2 shots from your platoon mate. Under these conditions, the K-91 will reach its full potential, making your game enjoyable and bringing you increased credit earnings!

Roll out, commander!

The K-91 is not a Premium tank. Its profitability corresponds to the profitability of a researchable Tier IX vehicle with activated enrichment. The characteristics of the K-91 may be adjusted in the future if it is necessary for improving the game balance.
