Commanders!

During the Spirithaven announcement, we announced that there would be a special event taking place during the season. Today, we’d like to tell you more about it – we call it Raid.

The Raid event will last one month. To join the event, you’ll have to complete the fourth Spirithaven Special Operation on the Extreme difficulty or, failing that, it will also be possible to buy your way into it with 499 Gold.

Once you have the access to the event, as raiders, you’ll have a certain territory to conquer, starting from the middle. The territory is of rectangular shape and, in each corner, one of four main prizes awaits – a Samurai skin for the following vehicles: SPHINX, T-15 Armata, Al Hussein and Challenger 2.

To get to them, you have to advance a path to each corner. To advance, you have to complete various randomized missions. You will have a choice between:
  • PvP missions
  • PvE missions
  • General missions (that require you to complete other Raid missions)
The requirements for each mission will be randomized as well – some may require you to play a certain vehicle class, specific Tiers or even vehicles from a specific dealer.

There are no timers in this event. You can complete as many missions as you like each day, although it’s worth noting that the missions do not change – to advance along the route you’ve chosen, you have to either complete the mission or choose a different path.

Alternatively, you have two other options that are available for Gold:
  • You can automatically complete a mission using one Raider Ticket
  • You can change the mission to a different one using one Reroll Ticket
These tickets also appear as rewards as you progress through the mission, so you might save one or two for a rainy day.

For each mission completed, the next step along the route will be a Reward Point, where you claim your reward for the mission. There will be many prizes available, including Boost tokens, Insignia, Premium Time, even Battle Coins for the Battle Path that is coming in the future.

These Reward Points are also a part of your path, so you need to choose their position carefully. Either way, you can unlock every single field on the map as long as you complete the missions.

Obtaining all four Samurai skins will unlock the ultimate reward – a Japanese-themed Torii camouflage for all vehicles (its appearance depends on your base paint).

We hope that you will enjoy this event along with the prizes and, as always:

We’ll see you on the battlefield!

Today, we’ve prepared another very special offer for you, consisting of an interesting combination of two things – Commander Ophelia Kitescu and the MT-LB S8 Tier 6 Premium AFV.

Ophelia Kitescu is, of course, a vehicle Commander that hails from Romania. She was previously available during the Age of Rage Battle Path. She is an anarchist at heart and loves a good fight against corporations. In Armored Warfare, she is one of the most useful commanders out there. She is famous in particular for her main skill that prevents your vehicle from being destroyed when its hitpoints reach zero (under certain circumstances). The vehicle simply stays alive with one hitpoint left and, additionally, a shield forms around it, protecting it for a couple of seconds from being destroyed again. You can read more about her in our dedicated article.

The MT-LB S8, on the other hand, is a Tier 6 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. This AFV does not have a lot of armor, nor is it incredibly fast, but it can fire its two full rocket pods (each has 20 rockets) within 30 seconds or less. The rockets have HEAT-MP projectiles and are absolutely deadly against practically any target, but especially against those without composite armor. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

What makes both these items a perfect match? It’s the ability to engage in very high-risk aggressive gameplay while having Ophelia’s life-saving skill to fall back on. Ophelia can offer the MT-LB those precious few extra seconds to devastate pretty much any enemy on the battlefield and with the burst damage capability of the MT-LB S8, few enemies will be able to stand in your way and survive the experience.

Both of them are available in our Domination Bundle only until April 1:

Don’t miss the opportunity to get your hands on one of the most desirable commanders in the game! e hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Much of the world is now on lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many people are spending their time doing many different things. How are you spending your time? Let us know and win some amazing prizes in our Quarantine Contest!

Participating is really simple – make a screenshot or take a photo of anything you are doing during the quarantine, as long as it’s related to Armored Warfare. Draw a tank. Bake a tank-shaped cake (providing you can get the yeast for it, that is). Excellent results in the game. Anything goes, really, the more creative the better.

Share them then on Instagram until April 5, 2020, with the following hashtags:
  • #ArmoredWarfareGame #QuarantineWithAW #StayAtHome #GamingAtHome #StaySafeMakeWar
You also need to tag the official profile (@armoredwarfare) in your post.

The best three submissions will be rewarded as such:
  • 14 days of Premium Time
  • WZ-1224 Trash Panda Tier 6 Premium MBT
  • 1.000 Gold
We’re looking forward to your submissions.

No doubt you are already aware of the Stay Home, Stay Safe initiative, as a part of which we are offering some cool vehicles that you can try out:
  • Leclerc T40 TD
  • K21 AFV
  • Leopard 2 Revolution MBT
But would you like a permanent version of these vehicles? If the answer is “yes”, we’ve prepared a special contest for the next few days.

The rules are very simple. From the launch of the contest, play the standard PvE mode on the Hardcore difficulty and try to obtain as much Experience as you can (net XP that is, boosters and other bonuses do not count) while driving one of the three abovementioned vehicles.

Submit your best result in the dedicated contest channel on our Discord. The winner of each category (one per vehicle) will then receive the permanent version of the respective vehicle. In other words, if you submit your Leclerc T40 result and win, you will receive the permanent version of the Leclerc T40 Tank Destroyer.

Make sure that your submission includes the following information along with the screenshot: Your in-game nickname, mode and your result.

Please note:
  • The contest ends on April 5, 23:59 CET
  • One player can only submit one result per category (so make sure you submit your best one)
  • One player can only win in one category
  • All submitted results must be from the battles that take place during this event (March 27, 13:00 CET to April 5, 23:59 CET)
  • Platoons are not allowed
  • If you own the permanent vehicle already, you will receive its price in Gold instead
Good luck and see you on the battlefield!

This week, we’ve prepared another set of attractive items for you:
  • Object 490 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank (via Loot Crates)
  • Scorpion Kastet Tier 6 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle (available directly)
  • BM Oplot Tier 9 Premium Main Battle Tank (available directly)
Between March 26 and April 2, 2020, the following items will be available:

Object 490

The Object 490 Main Battle Tank was an advanced concept from the waning days of the Soviet Union. Designed in the 1980s, it represented a radical departure from the MBT paradigm. Its distinct wedge-like shape, along with the fact that the crew was located in the back, offered unparalleled levels of protection. But the most interesting part of the design was its double suspension paired with two engines, allowing the vehicle to stay mobile even after suffering significant damage. However, the conclusion of the Cold War put an end to this design, along with many other advanced Soviet projects. You can learn more about this vehicle in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Object 490 Tier 10 Premium MBT is perhaps the best armored vehicle in the game. It’s a true behemoth that is almost impossible to slow down, let alone knock out, and concentrated effort is required to stop one of these things when encountering them on the battlefield. The combination of extremely thick armor and a powerful 152mm gun makes this tank incredibly deadly, even though these advantages are balanced by its mediocre agility and the fact that its gun is only forward facing. This MBT is ideal for you if you prefer slow, methodical advances while dealing massive amounts of damage with each shot. If you keep your flanks secure, you’ll be all but impossible to stop.

This vehicle is available via Loot Crates, which drop Object 490 parts. Collect 100 Object 490 parts from these Loot Crates to assemble the whole vehicle.

Scorpion Kastet

This vehicle is basically a commercial modernization of the old Scorpion Light Tank by replacing its original turret with a new one of Ukrainian origin called Kastet. It was designed specifically with the Kingdom of Jordan in mind and was shown to general public in 2016. Unfortunately, it failed to gain any traction and it’s unlikely this vehicle will ever be mass produced. You can learn more about this vehicle in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Scorpion Kastet is a Tier 6 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. It is one of the deadliest AFVs in the game thanks to the combination of blazing speed, amazing agility, powerful automatic cannon and advanced guided missiles. All these traits make this highly mobile, if somewhat fragile AFV the weapon of choice for many advanced players. who can use it to dance around their opponents, dealing one blow after another.

BM Oplot

The Oplot is a heavily upgraded T-84 Ukrainian Main Battle Tank, which is based on an older design called T-80UD. It is currently the best tank the Ukrainian military industry can offer. You can read more about its history in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the BM Oplot is a Tier 9 Premium Main Battle Tank with a playstyle similar to the T-80U. Power-wise, it’s roughly on par with the T-90MS of the same Tier, but it has a very unique ability. Its advanced Duplet armor consists of several ERA layers, making it able to negate more than one HEAT shell impact. It takes several precise hits aimed at the same location to break through it, making it a very resistant vehicle on the battlefield.

We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:

The new Battle UI, introduced during the Spirithaven season, offers you a wide variety of customization options. Following your feedback, we’ve introduced a number of toggles and settings that allow you to change its appearance. Today, we’re going to take a look at some of them.

Here’s how the Battle UI looks in its default configuration:

And here are the corresponding settings that can be found in the UI section:

Some elements of the UI can be switched off outright:
  • Auto-Aim Tooltip (telling you to press the Right Mouse Button to lock a target for autoaim)
  • Hit Indicator (appears around the reticle when hitting an enemy)
  • Smoke (the smoke icons on the right side of the battle UI)
  • APS (the APS icons on the right side of the battle UI)
Switching these elements off makes the Battle UI more rudimentary (smoke and APS status can still be checked on the status bar below the Reticle UI), but also reduces your situational awareness regarding these life-saving protective systems.

This is how the UI looks with all four features enabled:

This is how the UI looks with all four features disabled:

On the left side of the Battle UI, you can see Ammunition Indicator. In the UI settings window, this indicator can be switched to three different presets:
  • All Weapons (the indicator appears all the time and for all different weapons at the same time)
  • Active weapon only (the indicator appears only for the active weapon)
  • Disabled (this element is switched off )
Once again, switching this element off clears the UI a bit at the expense of situational awareness.

The Target Hitpoints element displays an additional small health bar for the target that you are aiming at right below your aiming reticle. It offers an additional, alternative way to track your target’s hitpoints and is, by default, enabled for the Sniper (First Person) mode only.

The Radial Reloading Indicator element displays a wheel around the reticle whenever your weapon is reloading. It’s an additional way of tracking the status of your shells, one that is enabled by default. The game offers three basic ways of tracking your shell status – the Ammunition Indicator (described above), this Radial Reloading Indicator and the Shell Status Bar below. You can enable or disable the first two depending on your preferences.

The Speed Indicator element shows you, as its name suggests, your speed. You can find it on the left side of your reticle. You can disable it as well, but please note that, unlike your ammunition count and status, your speed is not displayed anywhere else.

The rest of the Reticle settings allow you to customize the appearance of your Reticle by changing its shapes and colors.

The Accuracy Indicator element is also known as the “Aiming Circle” amongst players. It represents the area of impact of the shell you fire at that point (in other words, your fired shell can impact anywhere within that circle due to a certain randomization factor). You can now make its outline appear as:
  • Ring
  • Rays
  • Dashed Ring

The Cannon, Autocannon, ATGM and SPG settings represent the appearance of your crosshairs in the game for each of these respective weapons separately. You can make your crosshairs look like:
  • Several styles of dots
  • Several styles of crosses
  • Several styles of right angle wedges (Right Angle 3 is the default option)
  • Several styles of acute angle wedges

And, last but not least, Color settings allow you to choose the color of your combat UI. There are a number of color settings available to choose from.

Give the customization a look to see which settings fit you the best and let us know on Discord which additional settings you would like to see added.

See you on the battlefield!
