Age of Sorcery — Chapter 2 has arrived, bringing new features, a new Battle Pass with new Bazaar items, Twitch Drops, and a story recap. There’s a lot to dig into, but first, take a look at the brand-new launch trailer!
Headhunting
The world of Conan Exiles gets ever more dangerous and filled with new adventures. With the rise of sorcery, new arrivals to the Exiled Lands have taken notice, and are searching for anyone mad enough to hunt these sorcerers. Find their camps strewn across the world and accept their bounties.
Hunt across the land for sorcerer NPCs and bring them back dead or alive. A skull is fine, but living flesh will grant a larger reward. Get valuable resources, armor pieces, and more.
Witch Hunt Encounter
As you explore the world, watch out for the new Witch Hunt Encounter, which comes in one of four flavors of evil sorcerer to defeat. Succeed in bringing one of these bosses down for a huge reward.
New Battle Pass and Bazaar Items
Explore a range of new cosmetics in the Battle Pass and Bazaar, including the new Stormglass building pieces, new armors, weapons, decorations, pets, and more! New challenges tied to Headhunting and the Witch Hunt encounter have also been added.
Twitch Drops
From today until January 3rd, 2pm UTC, you can watch Conan Exiles streams on Twitch to earn free and exclusive rewards. All you need to do is link your Twitch account to Conan Exiles, which you can do through a handy button in the in-game menu.
Twitch Drops include: a Snowflake Wall Paint, the Festive Hunt Trophy, and the Festive Crested Lapdog (he’s beautiful).
The Story So Far
Discover the context of some of the events through each page in the Battle Pass. Dive into the video and relive the Chapter 1 story before continuing Chapter 2.
We’ve summed up the biggest news here, but please jump over to the patch notes for a full rundown of the new additions, fixes, and improvements.
Thank you for all you do in Conan Exiles. We cheer with every bashed head, sacrificed thrall, and base constructed. The team is incredibly excited with today’s content and everything we have in store, so grab your weapon and go take some sorcerer skulls. And if you are a sorcerer yourself, well, less competition doesn’t hurt.
We hope you’ve had a great time with Age of Sorcery so far, sinking your teeth deep into all the new systems introduced Chapter 1 and finding out the powers within Sorcery. With today’s update, we’re starting Chapter 2, where we introduce a new Encounter type (psst, Events are now called Encounters!), Head Hunting!
You can now find head hunter contracts where you will have to hunt down nefarious Sorcerers hidden in the lands. It will be your choice to bring them back dead or alive! With this new Encounter we are also adding a new special encounter, Witch Hunter. Explore the lands to find more about it! This update will also introduce a new Battle Pass revolving this mechanic, with new challenges and rewards, as well as a new batch of items for the Bazaar.
Along with that, we are also starting our pet companion rebalance. This will be the first step in revising pets moving forward, with the intention of bringing them up to a level where they can be at a similar level to other followers. There will be more changes to come in future patches, so keep an eye out!
And of course, with this new update we are releasing a bevy of bug fixes to reported issues, including fixes to the most common crashes, fixes to texture and invisible issues reported with the release of Age of Sorcery and much more.
We hope you have a great time exploring all there is included in this new Chapter. Stay safe!
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING MODS Please remember that updates can mess with the functionality of your installed mods. We suggest taking a backup of your current database before updating to any new patch if you have mods installed.
Hunt down dangerous sorcerers and bring them back for rewards...dead or alive!
We're revising the stats of your animal companions to make them a more viable choice in your adventures!

As with every building contest to date, you all have absolutely hit it out of the park with this one! We wanted spooky houses, we got spooky houses. We wanted creepy towers, we got creepy towers. Our team had such a fun time going through each one of these and seeing the creativity was mindblowing. But also, INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT to choose.
We’ll be showing the winners for each category, along with some honorable mentions. If you don’t see your lovely creation here, please share it here and/or on social media and tag us! We know the hard work, time, and effort put into each one and want other Exiles to see them.
The winners will be contacted shortly to inquire about prizes, so if you are listed here please keep an eye on your email.

A harrowing wind starts blowing as Yog grows restless in his sleep, waking up to suffocate the world in his cloud of nightmares.
Yog demands one thing. A beautifully horrible place to spend the Yogtober together with his favorite worshippers.
Exiles, welcome to Yogtober. Our new building contest brought to you by us and your favorite deity, Yog. Your task is simple: create a building that best fits the category of your choosing. You can choose to participate in any one of the categories and create your own personal nightmare.
Judging will be based on creativity, originality, and how well they fit with the chosen category. Judges will be from the community managers, community support, and a select few Exiles volunteers.
The buildings do NOT have to be Yog themed, we just think he’s pretty neat.
So what are these categories?
Gothic: The romance in horror. Maybe a fascination with the dark, a sudden interest in the macabre. Pastel tones, black dye, the everbright grace of subtle white touches. Turn your home into your very own gothic canvas.
Haunted House: Creaking floorboards, something’s ticking on the window… Did you hear something? Huh, must be the wind. Watch out for the chain clanks you might hear in the night and never, I mean NEVER go into the room with the red door.
Necromancer’s Tower: The dark magics of the afterlife are calling to you. Answer them, but do it in a stylish way. Build a Necromancer’s Tower fitting for a dark sorcerer and imprison the earthly light inside so it is unreachable for the ones that need it.
Sacrificial Temple: Sorcery is here. And you know there is no sorcery without some blood magic. What do you need for blood? That’s right, a sacrifice! Make your very own sacrificial temple to lure curious cats and do your bloody deeds.
Cabin in the Woods: Never fails to scare off even the bravest exiles of them all. Isolated, in the middle of the woods, away from all living life… or is it? Only way to find out. Build a cabin in the woods and attract all kinds of cryptids so you can have a crazy party when Yog arrives.
Take your pick and start working on your cozy horror house!
There will be two winners for each category, one for unmodded and one for modded.
Feel free to share your creations on social media!
All entries must be submitted by October 31, 2022 11:59 PM EDT. We will not accept any entries after this date. Winners will be announced on November 14, 2022 2:00 PM EDT. Entries must be submitted through SurveyMonkey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Yogtober
You will be rewarded a plenty with:
The 10 winners receive: The Age of Sorcery chapter 1 Battlepass OR choice of 1 DLC pack
The Battle Pass prize unlocks the full pass as if you bought it, but keep in mind you must still level up your pass to earn rewards!
Isle of Siptah is not eligible as a DLC pack prize. All other DLC packs, as seen in the DLC tab of the Bazaar, are fair game.
Plus choice of one of the following items:
Black Magic Starter Set
Gurnakhi Gear
Echoes of Acheron
Rotting Rhino
We will pick 2 winners for each category, totaling 10 winners. This means 5 for modded and 5 for unmodded.
You can join from any platform you want. Modded and unmodded entries will be judged separately in their own categories.
Your entry must include an image and/or video of your building.
If you include a video, please keep it under 5 minutes.
If you include pictures, please keep it under 15 images.
When you submit your building entry, you affirm that it is your own work. You may have help making it, but it can only be submitted once. Please do not submit an entry that you did not make.

Only submit for one category.

Various crash fixes that should result in improved game stability.
Addressed a number of exploits in regards to the crafting system.
The recipe “Rough Timber Doorframe” is now in the “Rough Timber Interior Walls” feat as intended.
Building items spawned from the Admin Panel should no longer be turned into salvaged materials after restarting.
The “Pick Piece” option from the building menu has been renamed to “Copy Building Piece” to better represent its use.
Fixed an issue where the Delving Bench would return random items instead of recipes.
Explosive jars should now deal more consistent damage when placed on uneven surfaces.
Shaggai Creatures ranged attacks are now functional on Dedicated Servers.
Minimum Stamina consumed or minimum Damage taken value is now 1 to prevent some unintended situations with certain character builds.
Casting Darkness would cause players and NPCs to fall through buildings when in high altitudes. We fixed that as that is not the kind of dark result we were aiming for.
Resurrected Corpses should no longer turn invisible, delaying the inevitable uprising of Casper’s army.
Lighting Storm was unintendedly causing high amounts of damage to Building Structures. This has been addressed.
Lightning Storm will no longer damage the caster or the caster’s clan mates.
Lightning Storm will now strike up to 4 targets each striking cycle with a small delay between each target.
Due to the increased frequency of strikes, the base damage dealt by Lightning Storm has been reduced.
Addressed an issue where some items could not be spawned in via the Admin Panel.
Fixed an issue where some items were misplaced in the Admin Panel.
Removing the bracelet no longer kills your followers too.
If creativity overflows you, removing the bracelet while in Creative Mode will now kill you. Carpe Diem.
Fixed an issue that allowed for Extended Leap to be reset while climbing.
Fixed an issue that could prevent Challenge states to be updated correctly.
Addressed an issue that could cause problems with item rotations in the Bazaar.

The Claim All Rewards button now works with one single press instead of twice.
Addressed an issue where the unspent points pip would show up after dying.
Consolidated how Illusions show in situations where you don’t own the base item or the item used for the Illusion.
If you don’t own the item used to apply the Illusion, you will still be able to equip it, but you will only see the base version. If you equip the item later after owning the Illusion item, it will show with the Illusion applied.
UI icons will also be greyed out to give better visual feedback.
The last Foundation removed now makes a sound when picked up, as intended.
Due to some platform-specific requirements, the Crom coins packs (new virtual currency) won’t be available immediately after release for the Microsoft Store version. You can read more about this in this separate announcement.
The MStore version of the game will receive this patch on Sept. 15. This should not affect compatibility when playing.
