A harrowing wind starts blowing as Yog grows restless in his sleep, waking up to suffocate the world in his cloud of nightmares.
Yog demands one thing. A beautifully horrible place to spend the Yogtober together with his favorite worshippers.
Exiles, welcome to Yogtober. Our new building contest brought to you by us and your favorite deity, Yog. Your task is simple: create a building that best fits the category of your choosing. You can choose to participate in any one of the categories and create your own personal nightmare.
Judging will be based on creativity, originality, and how well they fit with the chosen category. Judges will be from the community managers, community support, and a select few Exiles volunteers.
The buildings do NOT have to be Yog themed, we just think he’s pretty neat.
So what are these categories?
Gothic: The romance in horror. Maybe a fascination with the dark, a sudden interest in the macabre. Pastel tones, black dye, the everbright grace of subtle white touches. Turn your home into your very own gothic canvas.
Haunted House: Creaking floorboards, something’s ticking on the window… Did you hear something? Huh, must be the wind. Watch out for the chain clanks you might hear in the night and never, I mean NEVER go into the room with the red door.
Necromancer’s Tower: The dark magics of the afterlife are calling to you. Answer them, but do it in a stylish way. Build a Necromancer’s Tower fitting for a dark sorcerer and imprison the earthly light inside so it is unreachable for the ones that need it.
Sacrificial Temple: Sorcery is here. And you know there is no sorcery without some blood magic. What do you need for blood? That’s right, a sacrifice! Make your very own sacrificial temple to lure curious cats and do your bloody deeds.
Cabin in the Woods: Never fails to scare off even the bravest exiles of them all. Isolated, in the middle of the woods, away from all living life… or is it? Only way to find out. Build a cabin in the woods and attract all kinds of cryptids so you can have a crazy party when Yog arrives.
Take your pick and start working on your cozy horror house!
There will be two winners for each category, one for unmodded and one for modded.
Feel free to share your creations on social media!
All entries must be submitted by October 31, 2022 11:59 PM EDT. We will not accept any entries after this date. Winners will be announced on November 14, 2022 2:00 PM EDT. Entries must be submitted through SurveyMonkey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Yogtober
You will be rewarded a plenty with:

The Battle Pass prize unlocks the full pass as if you bought it, but keep in mind you must still level up your pass to earn rewards!

Various crash fixes that should result in improved game stability.
Addressed a number of exploits in regards to the crafting system.
The recipe “Rough Timber Doorframe” is now in the “Rough Timber Interior Walls” feat as intended.
Building items spawned from the Admin Panel should no longer be turned into salvaged materials after restarting.
The “Pick Piece” option from the building menu has been renamed to “Copy Building Piece” to better represent its use.

Explosive jars should now deal more consistent damage when placed on uneven surfaces.
Shaggai Creatures ranged attacks are now functional on Dedicated Servers.
Minimum Stamina consumed or minimum Damage taken value is now 1 to prevent some unintended situations with certain character builds.
Casting Darkness would cause players and NPCs to fall through buildings when in high altitudes. We fixed that as that is not the kind of dark result we were aiming for.
Resurrected Corpses should no longer turn invisible, delaying the inevitable uprising of Casper’s army.
Lighting Storm was unintendedly causing high amounts of damage to Building Structures. This has been addressed.
Lightning Storm will no longer damage the caster or the caster’s clan mates.
Lightning Storm will now strike up to 4 targets each striking cycle with a small delay between each target.
Due to the increased frequency of strikes, the base damage dealt by Lightning Storm has been reduced.

Fixed an issue where some items were misplaced in the Admin Panel.
Removing the bracelet no longer kills your followers too.

Addressed an issue where the unspent points pip would show up after dying.
Consolidated how Illusions show in situations where you don’t own the base item or the item used for the Illusion.
If you don’t own the item used to apply the Illusion, you will still be able to equip it, but you will only see the base version. If you equip the item later after owning the Illusion item, it will show with the Illusion applied.
UI icons will also be greyed out to give better visual feedback.
The last Foundation removed now makes a sound when picked up, as intended.
Due to some platform-specific requirements, the Crom coins packs (new virtual currency) won’t be available immediately after release for the Microsoft Store version. You can read more about this in this separate announcement.
The MStore version of the game will receive this patch on Sept. 15. This should not affect compatibility when playing.

The Age of Sorcery begins, heralding a new era of Conan Exiles!
Today, we expand Conan Exiles with the biggest free update since launch, adding sorcery and rituals, an attribute and perk revamp, a new building interface, improvements to a long list of other features.
With this monumental update, we fulfill the Sword & Sorcery promise that lies at the heart of Conan the Barbarian, and give each of you a choice: What manner of power do you choose, and how far will you go to secure it?
To celebrate the release of Age of Sorcery, Conan Exiles is free to try from 19:00 CEST today until September 8, so now’s the time to invite your friends to embark on new adventures, and maybe sacrifice them for fresh blood after.
For Conan Exiles, this is a major shift in how we release both free and paid content, with what we call Ages. Each Age has its own theme, free content, and Battle Passes. This is a complete rethinking of how Conan Exiles will continue to expand – with more evenly paced content drops and an easy way for any of you to support the game’s growth and receive exclusive themed cosmetics.
Below, you’ll find a quick recap on the major new features that you can enjoy right now.
Sorcery
Delve into dark secrets and reap the rewards! Sacrifice your life force in return for a long range of corrupted sorceries. Take to the sky with your own personal bat monstrosity, make blood sacrifices to summon demons and raise the dead, conjure storms, and much more!
Battle Pass & Bazaar
The paid Battle Pass and in-game Bazaar item shop are brimming with cosmetics such as sorcery themed building pieces, armors, weapons, and more! Complete challenges to advance your Battle Pass and earn the rewards, many of which are free.
Attributes and Perks Revamp
With today’s update, you can specialize your character further than ever before by choosing between two powerful perks at every other attribute milestone. Those who choose the dark path of sorcery can also infuse their strength, vitality, and authority with corruption. If you put in enough corruption points to reach a perk milestone, that perk will be replaced by a special sorcery perk.
Explore a whole bunch of different builds, whether you are a barbarian, sorcerer, or something in between.
Building Interface and Overhaul
Building has received its very own dedicated interface, making it quicker and easier than ever to build, on keyboard and especially on controllers. There’s no need to craft building items either, since it’s crafted directly from the interface.
Creative Mode
We want all of you to build the way you want. Accessible directly from the main menu, the new Creative Mode grants you unprecedented freedom to build without costs or restrictions. Soar through the world and raise cities like a god.
Follower Updates
With the arrival of sorcery, we’ve added a whole bunch of new followers. We’ve also tweaked balancing, reducing follower health overall and tied follower damage to the Authority attribute.

They will not be shown in the in-game map, but you may encounter them organically while you play!
New and old events will be added over time, rotating the active list with future patches and updates!
Optional feature, can be disabled or enabled via Server Settings.
We are changing the way Attributes and player Perks work in Conan Exiles, with completely new Attribute skill trees and reworked perks that will provide meaningful choices and powerful builds for your characters!
The previous Attributes have been reworked and substituted by a new set:
Strength, letting you hit stuff harder.
Agility, making you more nimble and deadlier with ranged weapons and certain melee weapons.
Vitality, letting you survive for longer.
Authority will let you command stronger, better, bigger armies.
Grit, letting you shrug off damage more easily.
Expertise, for those of you focused on survival and building.
You now gain an Attribute Point per level.
You can now invest up to 20 points per Attribute skill tree. Every 10 and 20 points you will be able to choose between 2 different perks to customize your character even further.
You can now also choose to Corrupt your Attributes and Perks. By inflicting permanent Corruption to your character, you’ll be able to gain new wretched but augmented versions of the normal perks that will let you play with the nefarious Sorcerous powers of this world at a cost to your humanity.
Attribute bonuses from Weapons and other Gear have been removed.
Weapon damage now scales based on base damage and points invested in Strength or Agility.
Armor, Potions, Food, Warpaints no longer provide Attribute bonuses. They now provide buffs to stats instead.
You can now only have one Potion/Elixir buff and one Food buff at a time.
Buffs to the same stat can be stacked, though.
Followers (Pets and Thralls) have also received a balancing pass:
They will now only have 4 stats: Strength, Agility, Grit and Vitality.
Their Perks have also changed due to the general revamp.
Their HP has been reduced based on their Tier.
Their damage output has been reduced by roughly 50%.
We are changing the building system to be more player-friendly, intuitive, less time consuming and easier to access all your pieces from a new Building UI! And we’re adding a new Creative Mode that will let you focus on bringing your creations to life!
New Construction Hammer item added to the game. Equip it to access the new Building UI!
The Construction Hammer will let you access the new Building UI from where you can see all your building sets and pieces! (pressing F by default)
If you have enough resources in your inventory, you will now see in the UI how many of each piece you can craft with your current inventory.
Placing down pieces from the Building UI will now automatically craft the building pieces for you cutting down on the clutter and inventory micromanagement!
You can now rapidly change your building brush by looking at an object that has been placed and pressing Middle Mouse Button / R3.
You can also use the Construction Hammer and the Building UI to remove pieces you no longer want.
If you log into the game with building pieces that are covered by this new system in your inventory, they will be converted to its raw materials and placed in a box within your inventory so you can use those materials in your new session.
New Creative Mode added to the game.
Accessed from the Admin panel or Esc Menu, it will activate cheats on your character, unlock all recipes and remove unnecessary UI elements temporarily so you can focus on building.
Once you disable Creative Mode, your character will return to normal and the normal gameplay UI will be restored!
New server settings added to further customize your building experience!
Building Stability slider.
“Build Everywhere” mode (bypasses building block restrictions).
You can now apply different looks to your Weapons and Armor (as long as both items are from the same category), in what you normally have requested as “a transmog system”!
New workbench added where you can apply Illusions to your gear.
You will need two items: the one you want as an illusion, and the one you imbue the illusion onto.
The Illusion item will be lost during the process.
Both items need to be of the same type and category for the Illusion to happen (i.e. you cannot apply a sword Illusion onto a hammer).
You need to have the Knowledge to create both items in order to apply the Illusion
In case of DLC items, Bazaar or Battle Pass items you need to own that content in your account in order to use it in the Illusion system.
Soon, Sorcery will darken the Exiled Lands. We’re thrilled to announce that the Age of Sorcery Update will arrive on September 1!
To celebrate this huge milestone for the game, Conan Exiles will be free to try from September 1-8.
With the arrival of this monumental update, we’ve also updated the game’s key art to reflect the addition of sorcery and the new dynamic it adds to the world. Let us know if you like it!
Delve into dark sorcery and everything that comes with it: ritual sacrifice, summoning demons and undead, the ability to take to the sky in the clutches of a bat demon, conjure storms, turn invisible, and much more.

Today, we look at followers, which is going through a major rebalancing and update in Age of Sorcery. These changes come through various new features and improvements, such as the new attributes and perks, new followers gained through sorcery, and changes made directly to all followers.
After the 3.0 update, you will have more diverse choices to shape your character, and one of the major aspects of this is the changes to followers. Whether you tread the dark path of sorcery or not, you can specialize as a leader who sends his loyal warriors into battle. It is up to you whether those warriors are human, demon, or undead.
Balancing
When we looked at the changes we wanted to make to followers, we knew we needed to rebalance them towards choice rather than a necessity. The result is that in Age of Sorcery, followers will have lower health and damage as their baseline, but if you want to, you can invest in making them more powerful through the Authority attribute and perks.
With these changes, you will not feel as disadvantaged without a follower, but if you do choose to use followers, it can also be far more rewarding.
We have an additional feature in the works related to survivability of followers, but we will detail this at a later date, since it will arrive after Age of Sorcery.
New Attribute – Authority
One of the new attributes in Age of Sorcery is Authority. With each point put into Authority, you will increase the damage dealt by your followers and improve your ability to knock humans out to be taken as thralls or... let us say fuel... for rituals.
Authority’s perks also improve your followers in various ways such as making enemies focus on them more over you and increasing their survivability through health regeneration and healing received. The final perk choice is between choosing to have one additional follower or giving your active followers significantly increased attributes. For the first time, you will be able to have two thralls follow you as your personal guard.
With sorcery, additional options are open to you as you increasingly corrupt your Authority attribute, replacing your uncorrupted perks. The first perk you get causes your attacks to have a chance to make your followers enter a frenzied state, making them temporarily deal increased damage. Each corruption invested past the first perk will increase the potency of it.
The final perk is Demon Lord. With each hit, there is a chance for a demonic follower to appear through a tear in reality and help you destroy your enemies. Although they only remain for a short time, you can summon several demons this way, if you are lucky.
Demonic and Undead Followers
A Sorcerer often imposes his will through servants, be they willing or otherwise. In Age of Sorcery, you can summon demons and raise the dead to do your bidding, provided you give yourself to corruption and make the necessary human sacrifices.
You can now create a Circle of Power in your base to serve as your window into an abyssal realm. With the correct ingredients, you can lure its denizens out of their plane and into yours.
Only by blood – demonic and human – can they be summoned. Bring through a powerful demon to vanquish your foes, and call an abyssal horse or rhino to carry you into battle beside it. These are no ordinary mounts. The Abyssal Rhino is a force to behold and has a devastating charge.
With the Battle Pass, you will also see several new skins, such as the undead horse and the wight horse.
Meddling with the dead is also one of the Sorcerer’s ways. Bring an unconscious thrall to a Shallow Grave to perform a ritual to reanimate its lifeless corpse. The attributes of the living thrall will reflect its stats in death. These are powerful followers that start at level 20 (max follower level) and have three perks.
But with time, even the dead may die. A corpse follower will gradually and visibly wither until they fall and a new body must be procured to replace it.
Summoning followers, demon and undead, mount and fighter, requires preparation and corruption, but the power they afford you is ample. For the experienced summoner, the sacrificial stone will see a steady flow of visitors, but never the same one twice.
The Age of Sorcery is Almost Upon Us
We are getting nearer to the release of this giant update and fundamental change in the development of Conan Exiles, and we could not be more excited to see what all of you will do with it.
Sorcerers, Barbarians, and all of you in between, we urge you to find your favorite way to play as you build, survive, slay, explore, and conquer in the Exiled Lands.
