Nothing goes more hand in hand than love and blood in the Exiled Lands. Want to impress your crush in the hut next door? Gift them the fresh heart of beast. Date night? Start a brawl with the local Black Hand pirates. After all, a couple that slays together stays together.
In this contest, we want to see your confession of love whether it’s as fresh as new kindling or a smoldering pit of Yog. Create a card to whomever (or whatever) your heart desires and send it to us to review it. It’s okay, they don’t have to know. ;)
We want you to create a card confessing your love to someone in the Exiled Lands/Isle of Siptah. This someone can be anyone you want: an NPC, another Exile, a character from roleplaying, the God/Goddess you worship, whatever you'd like. As long as the character exists in the Conan Exiles world and not, like, the steamy muscular people in The Avengers or Star Wars or whatever. You get the idea.
The card you make can be digital or physical and will be judged on creativity of the card and text in it.
For a digital card, you can use whatever software you'd like (Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Paint, etc).
For a physical card, you can use whatever material you like and send us pictures or a video of the card.
All entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST on February 21st 2022. We will not accept any entries after this date. Winners will be announced on February 25th 2022 at 1pm EDT/8pm CEST. Entries must be submitted through this email address: contest@funcom.com
Cards will be judged separately based on digital or physical. You can only enter one card, so be sure to specify in your email which media (physical or digital) you are entering. You can select any DLCs as a prize currently available for purchase by Funcom (excluding bundles). The keys are given out in even numbers, so you can share the love if you win! Or keep them all to yourself, nothing wrong with some selflove <3

2021 has been an incredibly exciting and challenging year for us here on the Conan Exiles team. We started off the year preparing for the final release of our first expansion map, Isle of Siptah. The team was able to improve the Siptah map with your feedback during Early Access by adding NPC camps, Points of Interest, and activities. The team also added two amazing biomes in preparation for the final release on all platforms. We really enjoyed working on Siptah, despite the challenges that working from home during the pandemic presented.
Ultimately, we feel the final result is something we can be proud of, and your feedback and support made this journey feel all the more rewarding. The official launch on all platforms was met with an overwhelming amount of support from you all, as we achieved the highest concurrent player count since the game’s release. The launch campaigns we ran along with Siptah, such as the Twitch Drops and the Community Challenge, were also incredibly well received, paving the way for other possible future promotions.
In 2021 we also hit two important milestones as we released on two additional storefronts. First, on the Microsoft Store as part of the PC and Xbox Gamepass subscription. Getting to this point took a colossal amount of work from our teams, to who I want to wholeheartedly thank for their efforts, as well as to the Microsoft and Xbox teams who made this possible. We also drastically improved performance of the Xbox One client and received the Optimized for Series X|S badge resulting in Conan Exiles looking better than ever on consoles! Later in the year we released on the Epic Game Store and were able to bring Conan Exiles to another audience with full cross platform support for all PC stores. Once again, this was made possible thanks to the support of our friends at Epic Games.
With an eye on the future, we’ve also spent a good portion of the year planning and figuring out the best way to support our game for the long run. We are committed to Conan Exiles, it’s one of the greatest successes we have had at Funcom and we want it to become the best it can be. For that purpose, we have been growing our staff over the year and created a new Live team that is dedicated to the maintenance, support, and daily operations of the game. Thanks to this, we’ve been able to focus on addressing your feedback regarding critical bugs and Quality of Life additions that had been not possible in the past. We have also dedicated a team to provide support to our amazing modders, creating direct lines of communication with them so we can keep improving the devkit to better suit our community of creators. And this is just the beginning. We are committed to keep growing and adapting to support Conan Exiles on what will be one of its most exciting years.
I can’t wait to spill the beans on what is coming in the future, but for now let’s celebrate this past year with some facts and statistics about last year for Conan Exiles: We can confidently say that 2020 and 2021 were the most successful years for Exiles based on player counts and player activity. The development and launch of Isle of Siptah revitalized interest for veterans, and also gathered the attention of new players. And it didn’t stop there! The last quarter of 2021 also showed a surge in activity thanks in great part to the release of our in-game event “Grave Matters”. We’ve been keeping close attention to its reception and what you had to say about it. Thanks in great part to all your positive feedback, we’re planning for more events in the future so keep an eye out!
Another front we have seen positive growth with the game has been with streaming. Thanks to the new content added to the game and our campaigns, especially the Twitch Drops campaign, we’ve seen the viewership numbers hit an all-time high, even surpassing early access and the official launch period! We’re happy to say that we’ve improved our active player base and presence on streaming platforms and 2021 has been our strongest year to date. It’s been a year of experimentation on our end and we’re incredibly thankful to all of you for rewarding us back with your support which we are using to shape our plans to make 2022 even better!
We’re kicking off 2022 with our new update! 2.8 is bringing two oft-requested features: server queues and emotes for followers!
Coming with 2.8 is the ability to assign emotes to your followers! Whether you want them to look more alive, or stage the new and hottest choreography this side of the Exiled Lands, this feature will bring new life to your army! Along with it, we have worked on a bevy of new emotes you can learn by interacting with new locations on both game maps, both for human followers and for pets. Groovy!
On the other hand, server queues will let you join a server that’s full without the need to smash that join button for minutes! Instead, you will now be automatically sent to a queue with other fellow Exiles trying to access the same server and you’ll join once a spot is available! This is also customizable via server settings in case you want this feature disabled or tweaked in your private server.
And bundled with these additions come a myriad of new fixes and Quality of Life changes that we hope will make your adventures in the Exiled Lands (and Isle of Siptah) more enjoyable.
Thanks once again for your continued feedback and support and stay safe. After all, 2022 will be a very exciting year for Conan Exiles! IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING MODS
Please remember that updates can mess with the functionality of your installed mods. We suggest taking a backup of your current database before updating to any new patch if you have mods installed.
Server Queues!
Join your favorite server in style. While you can still frantically smash that join button, we offer a less barbaric solution by just letting you wait politely in a queue. Keep that frantic energy to see your enemies driven before you and hear the lamentation of the other Exiles in the queue.
Follower Emotes!
Tired of your followers staring into the void while at your base? Give them some workout to do with our new feature! Assign emotes to them, both previous and new, and inject new life into your fief!
Server queues!
Follower emotes!
… new emotes!
Tons of QoL and bugfixes!
Currently known issues
We are aware Microsoft Store users may not see patches downloading and installing automatically. The only known workaround is to uninstall and reinstall the game. Unfortunately this process is out of our hands, but we are pushing for a fix to it.
Fixed a number of crashing issues. This should result in better game stability.
Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash after starting a coop game.
Fixed an issue that would cause rain to affect performance significantly.
Fixed a number of crashes in the EGS and Microsoft Store versions of the game when downloading mods.
Fixed a number of exploits regarding stamina consumption and undermeshing.
It should no longer be possible to place fence foundations too close to each other by exploiting building mechanics. Read more about this fix in this separate post.
Added new queuing system when joining a server. When attempting to join a server that is currently full, you will automatically be queued. - New UI elements now show your queued status, as well as your position in the queue. - Two new server settings have been added to control this new feature: EnableLoginQueue (default True), and DisconnectionGraceTime (default 180, in seconds).
It is now possible to assign emotes to followers! - Humanoid NPCs can now generally play any of the existing player-learned emotes. - Scattered across the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah, you can now find new interactables that will unlock new emotes you can assign to your followers and pets!

Fixed a rare issue where thralls would remain in a state where they could not attack nor get attacked under specific circumstances.
You asked, we delivered: The ranged attack of Spitting Spiders has now been fixed and your nightmares can finally be fueled from a distance. Other ranged creatures have also been fixed, but they are not as terrifying as Spitting Spiders are they. (Edit 2022/01/26: Added mention to other creatures as well. Reason: Missing from patchnotes)
Mammoths now rotate in a less janky way.
Shaggai Horror pets now have a projectile for their ranged attack.
Rhinos should no longer moonwalk out of combat, probably making this the most sad and disappointing patchnote line since the potion of endowment nerf.
NPCs should no longer move when performing ranged attacks.
The Undead nations of the Sanctuary of the Serpent signed a treaty and thus, Undead Archers and Undead Hyenas should no longer attack each other. For now.
Fixed additional issues where thralls and NPCs would spawn with XX_Unarmed in their inventory.
Kraxus will now spawn where he’s supposed to at the rate he’s supposed to, the Bastard.
Thralls should no longer randomly fall through Nemedian Hatch Doors.
Thralls that have been knocked down should no longer forget their guarding location.
Thralls should now be able to engage with giant enemies correctly, instead of getting confused at the complex concept of a straight line.
Fixed an issue where the Purge would spawn inside Treehouse bases.
Gold nodes should now require a minimum of 2 chops instead of 1, to avoid Exiled Cryptobros making this the new gold-seeking fad.
Replacing a building piece will now give you back the piece if it is at full health, or the equivalent dismantle materials if the piece is damaged.
Swapped the input mapping when using bows with a controller to be more intuitive. You now aim with the left trigger, and shoot with the right trigger. A new setting lets you use the old system (“Invert Bow Controls”).
Khitai Scout Saddle should now show the correct colors.
Fixed an issue that would prevent an NPC to show up if a mod saved data onto it and such mod was removed from the game by the player.

Some hair colors showed incorrectly. This has now been fixed. #abouttime

Fixed a number of visual imperfections across Siptah locations.
The Scorpion Den will now evict players that log out to the start of the dungeon, and will respawn dead players there as well.
We let it go and it should no longer snow inside the Temple of Frost.
NPCs should now play certain threaten emotes when engaging or about to engage a target.
Pieces that are picked up and returned to the inventory at full health should no longer show dismantling animations/debris.
Did we mention that we added new emotes for followers and pets?
Bravely pausing their hourly wheel of pain sessions, our #spellchekker team fixed another round of typos and grammar errors. Since there will probably be more typos out there that they missed, they’ve gone back to their mandatory exercises until further notice. #stillhiring
Stamina should no longer show less than 0 on the GUI.
Stormglass gate frame can no longer be climbed and mantled.
Health of a building that is being repaired should now update immediately.
New icons have been added for the new follower emotes.
Added new UI icon for thrall inventories.
Full servers now show their queue size on the server browser.
Added new filter on the server browser to filter results based on queue size.
Something stirs in the air and a coldness grips your bones.
You sense a nefarious darkness growing within both the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah.
The veil between our world and the outer dark is starting to tear, and droves of undead stalk the land. Mystical pillars rise in dark rituals and the ominous chanting of sorcerers can be heard as whispers on the wind.
You can take on this new threat and fight the sorcerers and the unnatural undead they summon. Be on the lookout for rituals of dark sorcery as you explore either the Exiled Lands or the Isle of Siptah.
By stopping the rituals you may earn unique rewards, such as some brand new placeables or even the Skelos Cultist Master armor set of the sorcerers.
The event lasts from today, December 7th, and until the 10th of January.
This event introduces the all-new event system to Conan Exiles and more events will follow in the future.
Perhaps this is just the beginning? But the beginning of what?
The new Update 2.7 is also live today. It adds a lot of fixes and improvements, including a new Point of interest protection system, where the obelisks of the Exiled Lands will receive extra protection from building pieces placed too close.
We’re unearthing Update 2.7, just in time to rattle and chill your holiday break!

With Update 2.7, we’re adding a new Point of Interest protection system. This first iteration will prevent obelisks in the Exiled Lands from being blocked, and will destroy any interfering constructions until access is guaranteed. We’re also focusing on polishing the new Nemedian building pieces and cosmetic sets, with fixes to collision boxes and visual polish to minor issues with armors and placeables. Along with that comes the hinted at upgrade to the building pickup system, where any pieces that would’ve otherwise collapsed when picking one up will now be sent to the inventory!
And, what could be the highlight for many of you, we’ve finally delivered one of your most requested changes since the game’s release: it should no longer rain indoors! Any sheltered areas will now protect from the rain and you should no longer see your fancy rugs and furniture soaked in rain. Making those roofs work for it, you know?
Along with these changes we’ve been working on other fixes and general layers of polish to the game. We hope these improvements make your adventures in the Exiled Lands and Siptah more enjoyable, so you can focus on grabbing all that new loot!
Thanks once again for your continued feedback and support, and stay safe!

Greetings Exiles! We have just released the all-new People of the Dragon Pack.
This DLC offers content from the kingdom of Nemedia and it lets you build stunning castles, decorate them with beautiful placeables and use new armors, saddles and weapons.
Want to add some new towers to your camp, or perhaps build something completely new in the Nemedian style, then this is the DLC for you!
People of the Dragon Pack is also available as part of the Conan Exiles – Complete Edition on Steam.
Conan Exiles – People of the Dragon Pack
Build mighty castles and towering fortresses with the People of the Dragon Pack. Enjoy its exclusive medieval style with several brand-new building pieces, such as tall spires, a new type of window and roof.
The building pieces, armors, weapons, placeables and horse saddles of this pack are from the powerful kingdom of Nemedia. In the deep forests and tall mountains just to the east of Aquilonia, unyielding Nemedian castles dominate the landscape, and now you can build your very own in the Exiled Lands!
Decorate your castle with striking vaulted ceilings, a wide selection of carpets, beautiful reliefs, a cozy fireplace, beautiful books, figurines, a stunning boar statue or the mighty banner of the dragon.
People of the Dragon Pack contains:
• 48 new Nemedian building pieces, including new options. - An expanded full set of building pieces with the same stats as existing tier three. • 15 new armor pieces in three sets, such as the Nemedian infantry armor. - Light, medium and heavy sets with an epic end-game version of each. • 12 new Nemedian weapons including a shield. - Same power as iron weapons with an epic end-game version of each weapon. • 32 new placeables, such as books, a flag, bed and fireplace. - Craft them at the new Nemedian artisan bench. • 3 new Nemedian horse saddles. - Equip your horse with a light, medium or heavy saddle.
All the new content in People of the Dragon Pack is exclusive to this DLC and adds a host of new visual options but does not give any in-game advantage in power. All the new items have comparable stats to existing items.
Alongside the launch of the new DLC, update 2.6 is also live:
Update 2.6 contains many bug fixes, AI improvements and allows you to pick up your own building pieces! Just placed a piece in the wrong spot? Now you can pick it back up and place it again.
Here’s what we’ve been working after the release of our gigantic 2.5 update. In 2.6 we’ve focused on polishing rough edges and systems that have been reported by you, as well as laying the bases for what’s to come.
For this update, we’ve put special attention on thralls and NPC AI, trying to curb on their general lack of environmental awareness and other quirky behavior reported recently. Along with those fixes, there’s a long-requested (and modded) new QoL feature: You can now pick up building pieces you’ve placed as long as they’re at full health. A builder’s dream come true! And of course, there’s tons of other general fixes, stability and performance optimizations, #spellchekker quality passes and console-specific improvements.
With this Update we are also releasing our newest cosmetic DLC: People of the Dragon Pack! Build towering fortresses with new building pieces; decorate them with dozens of new placeables; and dress in the style of the proud and powerful Nemedian civilization in new armor and saddles. This new cosmetic DLC pack can be acquired individually, or as part of the Complete Edition (October 2021)! You can read more about this pack in our blog.
Thanks once again for your feedback and support, and stay safe!
Pick up building pieces!
Misclicked when building? Wrong piece? No worries! You can now pick up your building pieces as long as they are at 100% health. Build better, build smarter. If not possible, try again!
New Cosmetic DLC now available: People of the Dragon Pack!
