VRChat - Tupper
We've got a new VRChat patch out for you. This is VRChat 2021.1.5p1, build number 1068.

This is a "network-compatible" patch, meaning that you do not need to update to see other people that have already updated! If you're currently in VRChat, you can delay updating this with no issues. However, you should probably update as soon as you can to resolve the issues the patch addresses.

Check out the full patch notes in our docs.

Client Changes, Fixes, and Additions
  • Fixed an issue where AV3 avatars with an empty animation in the default state wouldn't preview correctly in menus
  • Fixed an issue where the "Unfavorite" button wasn't working on avatars that are no longer available
  • Fixed an issue where your social menu status would show as "offline" locally
  • Fixed some cases where offline friends would still show in the social menu
  • Fixed issue where selecting the user capsule with low FPS wouldn't work reliably
  • Various fixes to the social menu to improve reliability. There's still more to do!

This release includes the new Invite Messages feature for everyone, as well as Photo Messages for VRChat Plus supporters!

Sending an invitation to the party? Send along a "let's get this started!" message to get them moving! Asking to be let in? Scribble a little "may i come in please and thank you" on the back of your request.

If you've got VRChat Plus, you can send a photo with your message!

Friends need a bit of a motivator to come to the dance floor? Send them a selfie with the DJ! Found an amazing new place to chill? Ship off an aesthetic preview. Busy making an avatar, and your friend's inviting you to hang? Let them know you've still got meshes to merge. Get creative!

If you don't have VRChat Plus, you can pick it up while using the Steam version of VRChat - just click on the "VRC+" button in the top-left of your main menu, or the banner on the top of your quick menu.

Read more about the feature in our latest blog post.

If you're more of the "i only have 45 seconds free please compress it into a video and shove it into my eyeballs" type, here's the feature video!

Finally, here's the full release notes, which you should definitely read if you want some more details on all the things that changed in this update!

Stickers and Sharing are now here - along with Chatbox 2.0, camera updates, and many other assorted fixes!

Stickers are an exclusive VRChat+ feature! Users with VRChat+ can now place stickers in any world. You can upload stickers using the VRChat website, or by taking a picture and selecting it as a sticker in the VRChat client.

    - Place stickers by using the option in your Action Menu!
    - You can have 9 stickers active at any given time (as in, stickers usable in your Action Menu).
    - You can place one sticker in the world at a time.
    - Stickers are only available in worlds that have them enabled -- although the feature is enabled by default.
    - You can click on a sticker to disable it (using the Quick Menu), if you see one you don't like.
    - You can also choose to report a sticker if they're offensive or otherwise break our ToS.

In addition to Stickers, Sharing has also been added for VRChat+! With sharing, you can easily share (surprise!) stickers, emoji, photos, and UI color palettes to other users. You can do this either by directly sharing them via the Main Menu, or you can choose to drop a pedestal that will enable you to easily share stuff with folks in your world!

To learn more, check out the patch notes here.

  • … and more on the way! — We’re actively developing many new features for VRChat Plus subscribers like enhanced invite messaging with photos, menu skinning, and more.

As always, the core experience of playing VRChat remains free. The VRChat+ subscription is a way for you to show your support to VRChat, and get some cool bonuses as our way of saying thanks.

VRChat Plus is our first step towards our long-term goals for monetization. We want to allow people who create content — be it worlds, avatars, performances, games, hangouts, experiences, whatever — to be able to support themselves. VRChat is a place where creativity is unbounded. If people who like your work want to support you, we want to help them help you. We’re still working on all this, but we’ll keep you in the know as we move forward.

---

VRChat Plus is coming soon. It isn’t released yet, but you can hop on our Open Beta to try out the new features for free for a limited time! You don’t need to sign up or pay for anything when using the Open Beta. It’s automagic! To learn how to use our Open Beta, join our Discord and check out the #open-beta-info channel.

When VRChat Plus is launched, you’ll be able to sign up for VRChat+ by clicking the “VRC+” button in the main menu while in VRChat. At launch, VRChat Plus will be available via Steam.

Without all of you in our community supporting us, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you in VRChat!
