The feature announced a few weeks ago has finally made its grand entrance into AdventureQuest 3D. What started off as a way to equip two Cross Skills has evolved into something a lot bigger… Let’s get into it! (This release was on Thursday, November 14, 2024, just fyi)

First off, Skills have been revamped to fit into different categories. We’ll start with the most basic skill type and most likely the first kind of skill you’ll use in the whole game, Class Skills. Class Skills are skills the skills that are built into your class. These cannot be changed and are the basic blueprint of how your character plays. Second, we have Cross Skills. Cross Skills are those neat abilities you unlock when you reach rank 10 with a class and can’t slot into any other class you like letting you customize the way you play ever so slightly. Now, here is where we start talking about NEW things. The first big change is we’ve added a brand new type of skill, these are known as Base Skills. Base Skills are a baseline set of abilities that every character will start with, You might recognize them as these were originally all PVP except for Quickstep. Base Skills are mostly focused on utility and will allow us to design encounters with the knowledge players have these options available to them to overcome specific challenges. The penultimate type of skill in the game is PVP Skills. PVP Skills can only be equipped while in the Battle Hall (/join PVPLobby). These skills as the name suggests only work in PVP and are oriented around that. Finally, the last skill category we’ve made is Heroic Skills… Currently, there is no way to access Heroic Skills, however, once we release them I think they have the chance to be one of the most exciting new features in AdventureQuest 3D. Heroic Skills will be obtainable through all different means. From questing to buying from shop vendors with gold, or even from powerful bosses! These skills will allow you to open up what your character can do providing you the ability to heal yourself or party members. Shoot out shadow magic to cause a debuff or even call down lightning on your enemies. Essentially, Heroic Skill can be anything! With this new skill type, you will be able to really make your Hero YOUR hero.

None of this would really matter if we only had one slot to work with like we did with Cross Skills. But, we’ve changed this. The hotbar has been completely revamped to allow skills of all types to be slotted into them. While this week we are launching with 2 available hotbar slots as we receive feedback we can open it up and tweak things to have all additional hotbar slots open to customize with what ever Item or Skill you like.

Class Skills: The Skills baked into your class.
Cross Skills: The Rank 10 Skill you unlock that works across all classes.
Base Skills: Skills based around basic utility.
PVP Skills: Skills usable in PVP. Must be in the Battle Hall to equip them.
Heroic Skills: Skills you can buy, get as a drop or quest reward. Used to customize your playstyle further.
Essentially, you are building a house! (No, not player housing, we already have that!) The Class is your foundation but the walls and furniture, everything around it that makes it YOUR house are the Cross Skills, Base Skills, and Heroic Skills you choose to make your house… well, YOUR house. Except it’s not a house it’s the Hero who will save all of Lore!

A new questline has been added to the Isle of the Dead for heroes close to the start of their journey through lore. Head on over and talk to Sir Ossian and help this strange knight search for the ideal bones for his collection and earn the Embossed Knight set. The Goal of this questline is the smooth over some gearing pains in the early game.


We 'herd' your feedback on wanting a daily quest for the Gorses and Goonicorn content! So gallop over to Luigi, who’s now saddled up with a new daily quest to help you trot away with some Vials of Goo. Gorse and Goonicorn statues await! Goo luck!!


The Wandering Light gear has also received a daily. Lady Phimion will have a quest for you to clear the dungeon to earn Motes of Wandering Light.


Two new items dove into the Treasure Chest loot pool in the previous week's release! Variants on the Dragon Ultra Greatswords, which are this month's primo promo items. The Legion Dragon Ultra Greatsword and the Knight's Dragon Ultra Greatsword can be acquired from an Emperor's Chest, Warlord's Chest, or Soldier's Chest. Good luck!

A new job is available for you to take at the Battleon Quest Board! Head on ever and accept this new quest for levels 35+. This questline will reward heroes with a new armor set and a Spellforged weapon ranging from levels 35 to 39 and should give lower-level players some fun gear to play with on their path to our current level cap.


Gorses and Goonicorns come in all different shapes and sizes! These ones are perfectly small and pet-sized! They’ve been added to the Goo Exterminator shop starting at 2000 Vials of Goo for the Gorses and 2500 for the Goonicorns.

This week marks the arrival of the 2024 Mogloween collection features three distinct styles of Mogloween goodness! First up, The All Moglo’s Witch/Warlock outfit is based on a traditional Halloween witch with an Artix Entertainment twist. Second, we have the Goo Exterminator, which was inspired by some sort of… buster of ghosts? Then, finally comes the Spooky Stripe set which wears it… Well if I say his name too many times he might appear, so I best keep quiet about that!



These items along with some matching weapons, a lovable goo ghost pet called Gooper, and the Tomb Rider Travel form will be available for purchase as part of the Mogloween 2024 collection for 5300 Dragon Crystals or individually.

The denizens from Mystcroft have recently relocated to a charming new district known as Treat Street. This area offers a new trick-or-treat experience away from the hustle and bustle of Mystcroft. In this neighborhood, the residents have left out some treats that heroes can exchange with the objects near Andy Corn for rewards. Among these rewards are the “Drink Me” potion and the Candy Cauldron, both of which provide temporary buffs. Keep an eye out for the occasional appearance of Candybones, adding an extra layer of excitement to your visit.


This week we are adding additional drops to the bosses from the Pirate Vs Ninja war. Each boss will drop a statue of themselves and one of their weapon which like the Lumenion statues come in two variants. Each boss now has a new Travel Form added to their drop tables, and to make farming for medals a bit easier we’ve doubled the amount each boss drops and have added a new daily quest to make earning war medals a lot easier.


The tapestry from the Ruined Temple has been added to the decoration shops for both factions if you have completed all the current quests. This house item is free of charge and is a thank you for participating in the war.


Many have asked for a version of the pauldrons that match what Kurohane looks like in game. We’ve made a new version to meet those requests, thanks for your feedback.


We’ve made a small change as part of our ongoing goal to try and make the classes in AdventureQuest 3D more powerful and fun. Warrior’s Earth Breaker is now an AoE that expands even further when at 100% fury.

This week the final bosses of the Pirate vs Ninja war have arrived, both Mordred and Kurohane have resurfaced on the Isle of the Titans but something isn’t quite right… Speak to Iron Marty or Kaito to gain access to this challenging level 50 boss fight for a chance to obtain a unique Doom Weapon. With DOOM finally being conquered by the brave heroes of Lore, the dark influence on the island has lifted and with that PVP has left the Isle of the Titans.


]For those who took a stand with Captain Mordred Blackthorn in his quest for vegeance will have the chance to earn the Doom Cannons of Wrathful Vengeance. A unique Spellforged Doom guns that have two effects on them.

Spellforged - Doompiercer: 10% Chance to deal 60% Damage on hit.

Spellforged Passive - Mordred's Vengeance: +5% Crit -20% Max Health


And those who stayed loyal to Master Kurohane in his mission to safeguard his clan will be given the chance to earn Doomfury Cursed Blade of the Fallen. A unique Spellforged Doom katana with two effects on them.

Sticking with the split storyline we introduced at the start of the war both factions will have a unique boss to face to try and earn their respective weapon. We will open the bosses up at a later date to allow you to earn the opposing side’s weapon and even the war loot so don’t worry!

The battle rages on between the Blackthorn Fleet and the Midori Kage… this week brings the penultimate chapter of the Pirate vs Ninja War storyline. Join your faction leader and explore an ancient abandoned temple in search of the mysterious voice that called them to this island…


We released the Doom Ninja class skin last week and received feedback on the colors being a bit too bright so we are releasing a new version of it free of charge to go along with the original. Thanks for your continued support and feedback.


With the war drawing to its conclusion, a horrible force has influenced the Island of the Titans. Doom energy has spread from the temple and contaminated the world around it… Heroic pirates and ninjas across the battlefield have fallen to a bloodlust-filled rage and are now turning on each other… There’s only one way to set things right… continue the battle next week and purify the land of Doom’s influence.


This week will also feature our monthly 150% XP and CXP! So if you need to catch up in levels or are just working on ranking up a class now is the time.

The drums of war continue in this week’s AdventureQuest 3D release. Both the Blackthorn Fleet and the Midori Kage Clan are locked into a conflict that threatens to wipe out both factions. Head over to Lolosia and speak to Yara Hara to start the questline which will result in you picking a side to fight for. For those of you returning from last week, you’ll find a new chapter of the storyline has opened up with unique story moments for both sides. Additionally, new housing shops have opened up at each faction’s provisioner. Salty Sally for the Blackthorn Fleet and Kikishi for the Midori Kage.


This year’s Talk Like a Pirate Day Collection is mixing things up a little bit! We are doing two class skins with a pet and travel form that have two different variants each. One is pirate-themed, while the other is ninja-themed. A little benefit to buying the collection is you won't have to spend class tokens on the armor for the skin. Speak to Gunpowder Marry in Battleon and purchase your collection for 6000 Dragon Crystals. Or, if housing is more your thing check out the new Talk Like a Pirate housing kit.


The ultimate crossover of Talk Like a Pirate Day and Friday the 13th has just happened! The two new class skins being added to AdventureQuest 3D are the Doom Pirate and the Doom Ninja. Embrace your inner darkness and use unique DOOOOOOM-themed attacks for fan-favorite classes.


The storyline of this evolving conflict will continue as the war goes on but don’t forget… So do the rewards! The more of the meter your faction fills the more rewards that will be available to you!

The winds of war blow once again across Lore. A tale of revenge and duty is about to unfold. The Blackthorn Fleet, a group of fierce pirates led by Captain Mordred Blackthorn, demands the head of Master Kurohane, the leader of the Midori Kage ninja clan, to avenge the death of Mordred’s only son, Arthur Blackthorn. With tensions higher than ever, a mysterious voice calls to Mordred, offering a chance to avenge his son by summoning him to the Island of Titans with promises of power. Unbeknownst to him, Ninja Master Kurohane is also heeding a similar call, one that warns of a calamity threatening his clan but offers a way to prevent it. It’s time to pick a side, brave hero of Lore. Travel to the Island of Titans and fight for the cause you believe in!


The Blackthorn Fleet is a formidable group of pirates feared by the people of Lolosia. They believe in a life of freedom, unshackled by society’s rules, as free as the wind that blows across the ocean. Unfortunately for those around them, this means they steal and do as they please.


A secretive ninja clan with a long history, the Midori Kage have outposts across the Mysterious Islands. Over the years, they have accumulated many valuable treasures and relics. The Midori Kage value tradition and honor and do not take kindly to outsiders trespassing in their territory.


The AdventureQuest 3D war system has been completely revamped. Previously, you had to turn in quests to gain progress for the war meter, with all quests counting for the same amount of progress. Now, you can gain progress for your faction’s war meter through various means. Killing monsters, summoning additional troops, and even repairing structures can all contribute to filling up the meter and can be worth different amounts. Additionally, for this war, we are experimenting with a dual storyline, updating the story of the ongoing conflict weekly, so don’t forget to check back!


By completing quests, defeating enemy units, and fishing, you can gather materials to turn in with your faction’s NPCs in exchange for items to spawn the reinforcements of your choice.


As the war meter fills up for your faction, you will be able to earn more rewards, including pets, travel forms, armors, and weapons. This time, the items you can unlock are themed around the specific faction you are fighting for.


With it being Friday the 13th Camp Gonnagetcha has opened up once more! Head on over to Yulgar’s Inn and speak to Dottie, the High Archcounseler to book your trip to Campe Gonnagetcha while it’s still open.
