While we wished to give Grenwog goodies + returning April Fools loot this week, our hands were overflowing with tantalizing tasks – and melting chocolate. Fear not my friends, for sweet surprises are simmering and shall soon be summoned during next week’s release!

At Wiggly Whompa’s Chocolate Experience, you will be taken on a ride of whimsy and wonder. Complete the quests given by Wiggly and his Whompadoodles and you will be rewarded with Whompa Jelly Beans! Trade in these beans at the “gift shop” (the Whompadoodle behind the desk at the front) and you can get your very own set of Whompadoodle attire! The mysterious chocolate maker The Unknown also has some drops for those daring enough to defeat him.

Did I mention the Wiggly Whompa Housing Collection! Get your hands on all sorts of props and a new map for building the house of your dreams! Speak to the green-haired Whompadoodle who will happily take your jelly beans in exchange for desirable Whompadoodle attire! And it’s a good thing there’s enough jellies going around, unlike the super sad jelly bean shortage of Glasgow, circa 2024.

Last week we released the brand-new and highly-anticipated feature, Player Housing! Players are LOVING it and are building absolutely amazing things that are legit blowing our minds. Unfortunately, the awesomeness of housing was legit crashing mobile devices, so Broomtool, Blaze, and the AQ3D team have been rolling out fixes in order to make housing bug-free on Android and Apple. We also just released a major update in this week’s release that should dramatically improve housing performance on mobile. We sincerely apologize for the crashes housing caused, but we are thankful for your patience, understanding, and support as we navigate this brand-new game-changing adventure together!



This is the last week to get Lucky Day loot! The time is nigh to tackle the test of the Clover Crusaders, for they'll soon vanish from our verdant vistas. Exciting news! Housing is making its grand entrance into Adventure Quest 3D this week! Make your way to the Battleon Trade District and have a chat with the B.U.I.L.D. Foreman, Brigitte. She’ll set you on an introductory quest that culminates in you acquiring your very own house! What does this mean for you? Well, as the valiant hero of Lore, you now have a cozy abode to call your own. But wait, there’s more! As a player, this feature grants you the power to customize a delightful slice of Lore. So go forth, decorate, and make your mark on the world!

Once you’ve unlocked your first house, accessing it is a breeze. Simply locate the new housing button in the menu. From there, click on the inviting door icon, and presto! You’ll step into your very own abode. Now that you’re inside your house, it’s time to personalize it with housing items you’ve collected. Don’t fret—you’ll start with a few essential items. Not only can you place these items, but you can also rotate them, adjust their size, and rearrange them to your heart’s content. Here’s the exciting part: objects within your house have collision, which means you can create mini parkour areas or arrange furniture strategically. But how do you acquire new items? I’m glad you asked! Head over to the B.U.I.L.D. Depot in the Battleon Trade District. There, you can purchase housing items using gold from the Basic House Items shop or trade in Wood Planks and Building Bricks at the B.U.I.L.D. House Items shop. And that’s not all! Niall has a Special Furniture Collections button, featuring Legion-themed house items. Some of these treasures require gold, while others demand Dragon Crystals. Now, let’s talk about collections. Instead of buying an entire collection as individual items, you can use the new “Purchase Now” button. Why is this beneficial? Imagine you want multiple copies of a chair from a collection. If you own the collection, you can snag as many chairs as you’d like without any extra cost. So unleash your creativity—build that tower of chairs and tables. That's just the beginning, however. As time goes on we will expand on features and ways to obtain new housing items via quests and drops... In fact, for those who have completed a wing in the Battleon Museum, you'll be able to talk to Danicka Rose to collect a banner for each wing you've filled up with moments!

We’ve taken note of the valuable feedback regarding the Battleon Museum. As a result, we’ve adjusted the number of moments needed to create displays across most zones in this initial wave. Additionally, thanks to bug reports from players, we’ve addressed issues where certain monsters were not dropping moments. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

The Clover Crusaders have returned to Lore and are seeking to test their mettle against only the strongest heroes Lore has to offer! You’ll find these emerald-clad knights wandering various zones throughout the game world. Just like last time they drop Clover Leaves which you can trade in at the Battleon Social District for Lucky Day rewards. While you’re there, why not do battle against returning Lucky Day bosses including King Sneed the Clover Conqueror who has a chance to drop a special green variant of the cardboard crown called the Crown of the Clover Conqueror.

Are you feeling lucky? Try your chances at obtaining this drop off the Clover Crusaders! We don’t normally share drop rates but this is a special occasion. It’s… 7.77%. Happy hunting!

Earlier this week we sent mail out to players containing a promo item. However, there was an issue where some people didn't receive the mail... we think this might have to do with mail privacy issues. Now, we don't want anyone missing out on this promo item – so we placed the item in a promo shop in the Shops menu. This item is limited time and will be available from now until September 4th.

That’s right! The long-awaited Battleon Museum is opening up to everyone in this week's historic release of Adventure Quest 3D. Head on over to the Scholar District of Battleon and lend a hand to the chronomancer-turned-curator Danicka Rose by helping her fill out the museum’s displays with creatures big and small that you’ve encountered on your many adventures through Lore.

While Danicka has grand ambitions to fill the museum with anything and everything of notability that Lore has to offer, she currently has… nothing. That’s where you come in! Talk to Danicka in the museum lobby to begin an introduction quest line that will get you started and have you collecting “Moments” which will be required to create your very first display.

You might be asking, “What’s a Moment?” Well, I’m so glad you asked. Moments are a new type of item being added to Adventure Quest 3D this week. They drop off enemies that you’re able to make museum displays of. What’s unique about Moment in comparison to previous item types currently in the game is that Moments are automatically looted and added to the token section of your inventory and don’t take up any bag space. Once you’ve collected enough Moments, don’t forget to head back to the Museum to create a display! (And earn a nice chunk of XP… and maybe a title for completing an exhibit!)

A New Layer of Gameplay

The Museum is intended as our take on a bestiary or monster log and as such will be updated over time to cover monsters across the whole game world. With that in mind, it’s important to state you probably shouldn’t expect to knock this out in a weekend! The museum is meant to be played at your own pace and is more of a complementary layer over existing gameplay.

A horrifying new fight for those who have unlocked the Arena of Souls
Calling all heroes! A Legion Dragon has been resurrected by a vile necromancer. We need your help to defeat him and his minions. Be careful though, the necromancer has recruited himself a group of samurai warriors to aid him! Once the challenge is cleared, you will be rewarded with great loot, including new Legion items and a title! You can access the challenge by talking to the book next to the door to the Arena of Souls. You will need to be level 45 and have completed the Underworld story to access the fight.

Finally, it is back! Buy a Summoning Rune from the Underworld Summoner... and use it to summon a Legionary for you and all of your friends to battle. For those who want to host their own events in game, we also have Greater Legion Summoning Runes. The Greater Legion Summoning Rune will spawn a Greater Legionary which can summon up to 6 lesser legionaries. Sometimes the summoned lesser legionaries will be upgraded to a Rogue Legionnaire, which has double drop rates and a chance to get a live event coin!



These summoned monsters always drop a special currency known as Legion Soul Remnants. These can be used to get items from the shop on the bridge in town. Summoned monsters also have a chance to drop one of 15 items including weapons, armor, and exclusive travel forms.

The Savage Great Sword of the Legion and the Legion Star Katana can be found by talking to High Marshal Firebrand in the Special PvP Rewards shop. Only the most prestigious of PvP-ers will be able to get these, running a high price of 10,000 Marks of Glory, and requiring Glory Rank 50.

Greetings, Hero! A new mission has emerged from the shadows, beckoning you to a tale of mystery and sorrow. In every main saga zone, a new NPC awaits with a shop filled with gear tailored to your level.


Additionally, we've supercharged the XP from questing in the early zones of the main story, and a week long  gold boost to boot! Let’s dive into the details!




Embark on a poignant journey in "Shadow of One's Self." A woman’s lover has vanished into the night, leaving only silence and mystery in his wake. She needs your help to uncover the truth of his fate. Can you solve the mystery and bring her closure? During the Darkovia saga, seek out Altaria in Boog's Tavern to begin the quest.

You will be rewarded with...


Shadowsunder, a blade that gleams with the promise of resolve and strength.




You can play this new story adventure once you have completed the vampire & werewolf fueled Darkovia Saga. If you have not played through the Darkovia Saga yet, then prepare to step into the war between the Vampires and the Werewolves as both sides attempt to fulfill the prophecy of the Blood Moon. To begin or continue this level 18+ saga (That is level, not age.... although Safiria's dress really is something... the new quest is level 21. Which makes sense. It does start in a tavern after all.)  Open your adventure menu and go to Main Story and then Darkovia.




Players with low level gear have been asking where to get better gear during the main story. Look no further than Justin Case. He is a NPC dedicated to making sure you’re well-equipped for the challenges ahead. Justin's shop offers level-appropriate gear to ease your journey through each of the main saga zones. He is located at the beginning of each of the main saga zones.




We increased the XP for main story quests from Doomwood all the way to Ashfall, including dungeon side quests from Greenguard through Shadowskull Tower. These changes are designed to streamline your adventure, making it easier to progress through the main story uninterrupted.


The Lunar New Year celebration is drawing to a close, and with it the Lunar New Year shop is now closed, but not to fret, hero!  The Dragon Guardian shop will transition to its new home in the Guardian Tower on Guardian Fortes. Make sure to secure your dragon-themed items before the Year of the Dragon festivities conclude!




Next week heralds the arrival of the Dage collection, complete with blue flames and skulls. The update will include gifting and a challenging level 45 boss fight. Prepare your gear and rally your allies; epic battles and legendary rewards await.

Join the Tailor Scouts on their mission to retrieve the coveted Mithril Shears. These shears are a magical item that will help Winnie make new, more powerful costumes, taking their style to the next level! However, an encounter with the Fashion Police pokes a hole in their plans and threatens an old friendship. Help the Tailor Scouts stop the Fashion Police and maybe even save an old friend in the process.

Note: You must complete the first quest, “Tailor Scouts” in order to begin this quest, “The Mithril Shears”.



When you talk to Winnie in Battleon about The Mithril Shears, she informs you that Tailor Scout Melanie is taking longer than expected to retrieve the coveted magical Mithril Shears from Arcangrove. The mission is simple, find Melanie and help her bring home the shears. However, the Fashion Police show up just in time to snag the Mithril Shears before you can. Help Melanie and the other Tailor Scouts track down the Fashion Police and get back those shears for Winnie! On the way, you just might save an old friend from becoming a fashion victim herself.



Earn these Tailor Academy Uniforms and Shoes as you play! Later, you can craft the Fashion Police outfit as well (and additional Tailor Academy Uniforms), from Winnie’s Tailor Academy Uniforms shop when you complete the Mithril Shears quest.

As of this release, all commercial music within AdventureQuest 3D (with the exception of some tracks provided by guest artists) has been removed from the game maps! Jongaar (with some help from Broomtool) has spent many months replacing the soundtracks in the main maps with his own custom music, and is continuing to work on replacing the music in the side story and event maps as well. This is a huge task and will take a long time to get every map filled with new soundtracks. However, this means that our content creators are now free to stream AQ3D with the sound on without fear of their stream being demonetised. So, if you happen to enter a map without a soundtrack playing in the background, that’s not a bug. New music is on the way!

Carnaval has left the Social District until next year.

We’re showing our love and appreciation for the Heroes of Lore as we celebrate Heroes Heart Day! Enjoy a new Heroes Heart Day Collection and a related heartbreaking quest from Romeo Valentale. We’ve also implemented the new Mail system so you can send messages to your friends even when they are offline! Plus, level 45 challenges have appeared in the Battleon Foothills, and Lunar New Year celebrations continue with a Dravir pet added to Saber’s shop!

There’s an emergency in Seleden! Romeo Valentale needs you to meet his friend, Enitenlav, there in the forest who needs your help. Enitenlav created a matchmaking mishap between some of the creatures of Seleden Forest and needs your help sorting it out. If you do well, Romeo will reward you with a heartful reward: the Crystal Heart Sword!

Note: The Heroes Heart Day shops and quests are seasonal (temporary) but come back every year.



This Blackened Heart Dravir pet is ready to leave its nest and explore the wold with you! Just in time for the Year of the Dragon celebration. Visit Saber’s Lunar New Year Shop to pick up your own dravir companion for a handful of Dragon Crystals; or, if you’re a Dragon Guardian, get one for Free from the Guardian Tormir.

Also, fear not! If you aren’t able to become a Dragon Guardian before the Lunar New Year shops close, the Dragonscale Guardian Equipment and Blackened Heart Dravir pet will remain available in the Guardian Tower until the next Lunar New Year.



You can now send and receive mail in AdventureQuest 3D! Click the Mail button in the Menu to open your inbox and see the messages awaiting you. At the top of the Mail tab, you can also Compose (write) messages to send to your friends and Guild members by clicking the button that looks like a letter. Here you can type in the name of the Player you want to send a message to, even if they are offline, and type out your message just like an email.

That’s not all! The Dev Team can also use this Mail feature to send occasional rewards directly to your inbox!

However, If you don’t want to receive messages from other players, you can check the Mail Blocked setting in the Mail tab. In the future, we would like to update the Mail Settings to allow you to choose the types of people who can send you mail (only Friends, Guild Members, your Party, or All Players). For now, write your heart out!
 


Return to the Battleon Foothills (the new intro area) when you reach level 45 to discover the appearance of three new Challenge Books. The challenges have special rewards, like pets, travel forms, and titles but require great skill and strategy to win! These Challenge Books only appear once you have reached level 45, so get going and level up!

The Lunar New Year is a time where citizens all around Lore celebrate their good fortune and prosperity! Meet Saber in the Social District to get started on your Lunar New Year festivities! She has exciting quests and shops with delightful rewards based on the year’s (and past) animal representative, and 2024 is the year of the dragon!

Note: The Lunar New Year shops and quests are seasonal (temporary) but come back every year.



Check out the new Dragon Scaled Guardian shop where a brilliant new golden dragon armor is exclusive to Dragon Guardians only! If you purchased the Dragon Guardian upgrade from Upgrade Shop, you can get the whole set from this shop for FREE! Just talk to Guardian Tormir in Battleon or Saber in the Social District.



Moonlight Shop
Saber will trade you special items for delicious Moonlight Biscuits from Darkovia. Moonlight Biscuits drop from monsters all around Darkovia this February, including the dungeons.

Lucky Envelope Daily
Turn in 5 Moonlight Biscuits for a Lucky Envelope and some Firecrackers! This is based on the real life tradition of giving red envelopes during the Lunar New Year celebrations which symbolize good wishes and luck for the future. Red envelopes usually contain money, so these Lucky Envelopes can be sold for 5000 gold.



Carnaval starts in Rio on February 9th, so we’re taking the party to the Social District with the Carnaval Sneevils! These guys are barrels of fun and drop Carnaval Feathers to trade with the Adventuretainer for colorful gear! The party lasts for two weeks, so grab your friends and get ready to get down with the Adventuretainer.



Thank you so much for joining our live playtest of the new intro zone, Battleon Foothills. We have used your wonderful feedback to polish and smooth out the rough edges.

New players will enter the Foothills after leaving Death’s Lair. That’s right. Vane no longer tosses you across the lands of Lore. Instead, they will encounter the various NPCs who can continue to teach them the gameplay basics of AdventureQuest 3D before moving on to the city of Battleon. Hopefully this will result in less confused players once they begin the core story and begin to explore the game on their own.

You can still return to the Battleon Foothills through Heroes Bend (to the right of the Crossroads) after passing the Blue Flying Eyes, but just know that everyone’s quest progress for this area has been reset. Also, by popular demand, Dragonwatch Keep will remain accessible, just detached from the tutorial and main storyline. You can find it easily in the Adventure Menu under Side Stories.
