The Monster of Mount Scrunch
Hale is certain the reports of the beast sightings point to werewolves, but Mayor Kayne is not convinced. Follow the beast up Mount Scrunch and learn what this beast is once and for all.

Your hard work isn’t for nothing. The various beasts on Mount Scrunch have loot hidden up there. As you battle your way to the mountaintop, you may get some of these awesome rewards.
Hale’s Winter’s Grasp Rewards
Return to Hale to get similar monster hunting armor pieces made with the green fur of the monster and a couple new weapons.
The Frozen Artifact
Hale would like you to retrace your steps to be sure we know the truth about the monster of Mount Scrunch. Help her out and you’ll obtain an elusive frozen artifact, the Holly Jolly Head Splitter. This item will become Legacy (unobtainable) after Frostval leaves around January 25, 2023. Get it while you can!

-fixed a connection issue which could sometimes prevent NPC interactions from loading -adjusted some values to do with scaling; players should have a smoother power curve when levelling -fixed an issue with the Reconnect feature which could desync you with the server time -fixed an issue where Quests sometimes did not display the proper XP and gold rewards vs what is actually received

Free Gift and Gift’thulus!
Talk to Artix in Yulgar’s Inn to receive your Holiday Present. Choose one or more of the free gifts in the Holiday Presents shop. Also, check your inventory because Frostval came early. You will find a handful of free Gifting Runes in your Tokens so you can spawn Gift’thulus with your friends and fellow players.
Where is the Atlantis Finale?
The team has been working hard on the new maps, dungeons, and overall gameplay experience; however, we do not currently feel that it is ready for release. After discussing it with our team, we decided that delaying the release is what was best for the wellbeing of the team and the player experience. Since players frequently request that we take the extra time to give the best quality experience that we can, we feel confident that you will support our decision. So, we are giving ourselves a couple extra weeks to release a finale worth waiting for.
One of the setbacks faced was with the Unity upgrade. Our system has been long out of date because it takes a lot of dev time to make our game compatible with the new features in an upgrade. However, we have seen the issues that persist from being out of date becoming more frequent. During the upgrade process we ran into some kinks that require our devs to go in manually to fix. We ended up reverting the upgrade for now until we can set aside the dedicated time required to successfully resolve these issues. As of now, we have no concrete estimate of when the upgrade will happen; though it will be the start to solving long-standing bugs and providing a better experience for everyone.

This is one tough Water Elf. Aquella doesn’t like that you and your friends are in Atlantis. If you can prove that you’re there for noble matters, then she may be inclined to help you get what you’re after.
An Audience with the King
A daunting task lies ahead of you. Completing the trident helps the Pirates and the Ninjas, but why should Atlanteans care about what happens to “topsiders”? You must convince the King of Atlantis to let you take the third piece of the trident.

Gather materials to make a ninja disguise for Capt. Rhubarb so he can meet Yuki Jin at the docks and set sail to the lost city of Atlantis!

Happy Fisk is excited about you going to Atlantis and what that could mean for business. He hopes to create a drink that Atlanteans would enjoy and that Blue Bart can add to his menu. Talk to the adorable sub-zero frost moglin in town to travel to Frostvale, the challenges, and access returning gear. When you are in Frostvale, try sticking your tongue to one of the frost swords.... I double dog dare you.
Frostfang!
Visit the social district to get some icy cold vengeance on Frostfang. Defeat him to craft the Glacial Piercer bow.
All dressed up and nowhere to snow...
Yulgar and Serenity put up decorations around the Inn. You should stop by and warm up. The Giving Shrub is back too! Which means....
Giftthulu is back!
Buy a Gifting Rune from the shub at the Inn. They allow you to spawn a Gift'thulu! It is a giant boss monster present that players can battle. It drops prizes.
This year will have a fresh leaderboard. Last year's top gifters will be permanently memorialized on a special web page which will list names and their amount. Also, the top 10 gifters from last year will be receiving a special badge & title (releasing next week after the art is done).
The new leaderboard will run until March.

Defend town from the invaders. Prepare your spells and arms, then talk to Roland in the social district.
PvP - Battle Falls gets a frosty update
Bring a coat (of arms?). On the player vs player battleground map of Battle Falls, vengeance is a dish best served cold.

AFK Leaderboard is Gone
The goal of this map was supposed to be fun. We added a leaderboard because... why not? And, like all leaderboards, players found a way to exploit it. Some people just couldn't commit to truly being AFK. What do we do now? Well, you can still turn in AFK Minutes to the shop and Trove of Use Things, however, we turned off the leaderboard quests and removed the leaderboard. Instead we will be putting the top few hundred names on a webpage to immortalize your achievements in doing nothing very very well.
It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Frostval
The pumpkins and ghosts have returned to Mystcroft as the portal to the Mogloween world closes. The citizens of Battleon quickly redecorate to usher in the winter season and welcome the return of Blizzy the Frostval Moglin as snow flurries cover the land. However… There is one spooky citizen who remains and is not ready for Frostval.
Veteran’s Day Shields

AFK Leaderboard Update
Well folks, there is good news and bad news. The bad news is that the AFK leaderboard is going away due to an exploit that we can't fix in a reasonable amount of time. We liked the idea of competitive "doing nothing" but people started to do things and it was better than "doing nothing" in terms of points and that ruins the fun. The good news is that we’re keeping the Leaderboard Quests up for one more week. AND when we remove the quests, the Leaderboard will still be visible. However, only the top 100 AFKers will be immortalized on the AFK Leaderboard. Do nothing like you’ve never done anything before!

20th Anniversary Troves!
Click on any Portal Fragment/Travel Crystal in the B-Horror Game maps from our 20th anniversary event to start building your troves! Starting with Game #1: Zom-bae, accept the quest to complete troves for each map. These troves will allow you to keep all of your (non-DC or Guardian) items forever! Completing each trove also unlocks a special title and badge. But you have a limited time to accept this quest…
The 20th Anniversary Lobby will leave our game around January 1st. This includes the items with “20th Anniversary” in their name and the ability to start this 20th Anniversary Trove quest. So make sure you store your 20th Anniversary items in the bank until it’s time to lock them into their respective trove. The individual B-Horror games will become permanent maps in the Adventure Menu after the Lobby is gone. As long as you have started this trove quest before then, you will be able to continue to add items to it even after the lobby is gone.
Death of Games: Arcade Challenge and Rewards
Unlock a new challenge mode when you complete the Death of Games story quests: Arcade Challenge (level 37+). Access this challenge fight by talking to Death of Games waaaaay in the back of the Lair… or click on the handy Travel Crystal in the map. Also, Bean Twilly unlocked the Arcade Gear shop which uses Arcade Coins from the challenge to purchase new level 39 rewards.

A long time ago… we left a note to players in the Founder’s Sanctuary that promised a special reward upon leaving Open Beta on Steam and going Live. Guess what? Last week, AdventureQuest 3D went Live on Steam. Head to the Sanctuary (it’s in the Special Locations tab), click on the giant sword, and open the Open Beta shop to get your free Live Celebration Sword. After next week’s release, no new accounts will be considered as Beta.
NOTE: A Dark version of this reward is coming to the Open Beta shop next week for Guardians only.
