Samurai Class is Live!
AdventureQuest 3D - Trinhtrin
Become a Samurai
Unlock Samurai Class by visiting Hensou (currently in Battleon) and completing daily quests for Samurai Tokens, or use DragonCrystals to buy the class. Once you unlock the class, return to Hensou to learn the history and master the art of Samurai.

What is Samurai Class?
Samurai are warriors of Yokai who harness the power of the wind, as bestowed by the dragon spirit Ryukami. Using swords of enchanted steel, they slash like the breeze before unleashing the power of a hurricane.

Use your extra Samurai Tokens to buy the Samurai Class Gear from Hensou!
 


Samurai Skills
  • Breath of the Wind (Passive): Attacks and abilities add a stacking buff to the player’s attack and attack speed to a maximum 50 stacks. Cross skills do not generate stacks.
  • Auto Attack: Repeatedly attack an enemy in range. Can be cast from range if in Ranged Stance.
  • Zephyr Strike: Quickly slash your opponent. Finish the 3 hit combo to deal massive damage.
  • Wind Cutter: Dash to an enemy and enter melee stance. If you kill an enemy, you may dash to the next one.
  • Nothing Personal: Launch a windslash breaking the armor of your oppenent, then dash to them.
  • Death by A Thousand Cuts (Ultimate): Call upon the spirit of the Wind Dragon to increase your Haste. Attacks while this is active will apply One of a Thousand Cuts. Nothing Personal deals increased per stack of One of a Thousand Cuts.
  • Menacing Stance (Cross Skill): Channel the power within letting all your attacks automatically crit for a short time after. "Oh, You're approaching me?"


Master the Ways of the Samurai
A newcomer named Hensou has arrived in Battleon. He is willing to teach you the ways of the Samurai. To truly master the class, you must earn the favor of Ryukami, the dragon spirit of wind who once gave a piece of himself to empower these warriors of Yokai. Seek the guidance of Hensou and become… a Samurai.
*Note: Samurai Class must be unlocked to begin this questline.

Rank up your Samurai Class to 100 and unlock items in the Legendary Samurai armor set along the way.

Dragon Samurai


Unlock the Dragon Samurai class skin. Play with the usual class skills but whole new visual effects and a brand new armor set befitting the Dragon Samurai.

With the latest news on the storms path, our team here in the Tampa Bay area is now 100% focused on storm safety. Meanwhile in-game we just started an XP Boost for all players.

Greetings friend!

Hope you are well. Especially everyone up in the North East who just dealt with Hurricane Fiona this past weekend. One of our AdventureQuest 3D devs is still without power up there. While we normally try to keep the real world out of the games, another hurricane is forming south of us in the Gulf Atlantic and may impact this week's release. Wanted to give you advanced warning.

Needless to say, we prioritize the teams safety. So everyone was instructed to take care of emergency preparation before continuing their game responsibilities. Schools here in the Tampa Bay area have shut down for the week and are being converted to emergency shelters.

Hurricanes are wildly unpredictable. There is really no way to know if the hurricane will turn into a Category 4 monster or hit some resistance and spin down to just a tropical storm. We have been through a few of these now. Power outages & downed trees are very common with hurricanes. Even if we are not directly hit by the storm, sometime the power is cut as a precautionary measure for other regions. Regardless, the best plan is to always prepare for the worst. We secured the lab earlier today and removed / unplugged everything.

Nulgath Saga: Part 2 - Bonus Content

The Saga Continues with Part 2
Victor Lionfang and his Paladins of the Golden Onslaught are in the Red Monastery. Continue your adventure and begin the search for the pieces of the Shattered Sword. If you’ve already done that, head to the Wastelands to enjoy the bonus content from this release!



Crag and Bamboozle Updates
Obtain the Pronged Ruin (stat weapon) from the dreaded Bull Fiend in the Wasteland. Bamboozle (the NPC) now offers a quest to upgrade the weapon to its stronger form: the Desolate Pronged Ruin. He also will give you a Corpse Eater pet in exchange for Decaying Morsels dropped in the Catacombs. He certainly drives a hard bargain.

Due to all of the issues, confusion, and some technical issues with the a la carte version of the "Crag in a Cart" pet (which does not contain any quests), it has been removed from the game. Any player who purchased the stand-alone version of this pet has automatically had the full price of 550 DragonCrystals refunded as of September 21st, 2022. We apologize for the confusion and back-and-forth over this unusual situation. If anyone wants the version of the pet with no quests returned to the game--please let us know as we are considering re-adding it to the a la carte shop with a clearer name and explanation that it does not contain quests.

The Crag in a Cart pet (bought with Collector’s Chest) opens the Nulgath Part 2 Collection Shop as well as giving access to additional Nulgath Part 2 quests. Just click on the pet when equipped to see these features. However, you must complete Part 2 of the saga to see the new quests.



Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes…
We received a lot of player feedback that the balancing in Nulgath Part 2 was an issue and that certain areas were too difficult. We made general balance changes and adjusted some boss fights to be easier on you. Drop rates also received some changes, as well as…

Phoenix Blade of Nulgath. We had devs monitoring this new type of quest following the release to see how it performed Live. The Phoenix Blade of Nulgath quests allowed players to complete it with minimal interaction with most of the Nulgath content, which ultimately felt wrong. Climbing Mount Everest feels a lot less rewarding when there is an elevator to the top. We needed the acquisition of the blade to feel like a worthy achievement. So… we made a hot-fix to change it.

We try not to do hot-fixes unless something is game-breaking. Our aim is always to communicate, at the very least through social media, when something is being changed. A lot of players were upset by this change due to lack of communication prior to the change and the feeling of effort wasted on now obsolete crafting materials. We will do better to communicate changes in the future, especially with content this important to the release.

For those who are concerned about their DragonCrystal earnings from ads… We have temporarily disabled ad watching as Unity investigates the issue on their end.

We made several other small changes to the saga and overall game.

Nulgath Saga Part II

Level cap raised to 38 along with new story and 100+ quests
Hop in AdventureQuest 3D and join in our darkest new adventure. Victor Lionfang and his Paladins are ready to raid the Red Monastery. Will you the retrieve the pieces and pieces and assemble the Legendary Shattered Sword?



... and is it true that this legendary sword is powerful enough to slay Dage and his Undead Legion!? Only one way to find out.



Raid the Catacombs
The pieces of the Shattered Sword are hidden somewhere in the catacombs. It’s best to split up! (...right?)
Join each Paladin of the Golden Onslaught through one of the catacombs to find the pieces and bring them back to Victor Lionfang. While Paladins aren’t afraid of the undead, with names like the Catacombs of Suffering and Path of Anguish, the catacombs will make them face the one thing they cannot escape... their own deepest fears.



Beware the Wasteland
Once all the pieces of the Shattered Sword are collected, they are still just pieces of a sword. Victor needs to find someone who can reforge a powerful magic weapon, and not just anyone will do. He might know where to find that someone… In the Wasteland where the ruins of a world long forgotten are scattered in the orange sands. It’s a vast and dangerous place, and Victor is getting impatient.



Meet Crag and Bamboozle
Crag is the Rock Friend, Bamboozle is the Sneevil in goggles
You might have seen them in the Nulgath Part 2 Collection, and now they are in-game to help. Crag and Bamboozle are happy to point you in the right direction... for a price. But don't worry - their help will only cost you some rare and valuable items. Not your soul. Why would you even think that?
If you're feeling bold, they have a few extra tasks you can do for a very special reward.

BONUS
The Nulgath Part 2 collection "Crag" has new functionality added to it. In addition to opening your collection when you click on it, it now also opens a large array of side-quests on the go, from the wasteland. Only the collection Pet opens the Quests. You must have finished Nulgath Part 2 for in order for you to access it.

Secret....
During this story you will meet a Blacksmith. He has a side quest for you to find the Pickaxe of Destiny... and become the Lord of Hard Rocks and Heavy Metals!



What Lies Ahead...
Victor is certain that he will be able to defeat Dage with the full power of the reforged sword, but you’re uncertain. Dage has a whole undead army and Victor only has a few Paladins. Is the sword really that powerful? What is the true source of the power in the sword? And what does any of this have to do with Nulgath??

Helpful Hints
  • Most of the catacombs allow up to 5 players per instance during the storyline, even in the boss fight. If you can’t defeat a monster alone, bring your party.
  • Interact with any NPC you come across in the Catacombs and Wasteland. They may have side quests OR they may have helpful hints on how best to engage in combat in that area. Or they may have a bit of lore to share.
  • Holy Spit Seed quest is now also on Paladin Everett Sunguard in Seleden Forest.

We really hope you enjoy this new story release. It is unquestionably the darkest release we have added to the game. The team worked really hard on it.  Jongaar wrote new music for each area. There are new items from Thyton, Winnie, Dage, Xero. Korin created the cinematics for the climatic ending cutscene. Oh, once you have completed the main story, it will unlock challenging bonus side quests created by Sir Fainal, Clarion, and Memet.

We have more coming for you. As I write this we are currently working on side-quests and bonus challenge content for the newly released areas. Also we are getting close Samuarai Class. We are building an entire island and story for it. Then... prepare for the Artix Entertainment 20th Anniversary! Written by Beleen, it will be an anything goes release featuring a lot of the friends we have made along the way and hosted by one of the most iconic and appropriately "Mogloween" guests ever.

Black Death Cutlass

Hungry for the lives of your enemies, this cutlass spreads its taint to every soul it touches.

The Black Death Cutlass is included with all packages from the Upgrade Shop, including Guardian and Lore Strider. Guardian packages also give an alternate version with glowing red eyes and emanating smoke called the "Burning Black Death Cutlass". Check your weapon inventory on your next log in after purchase.

Note: All accounts that had made a purchase from the Upgrade Shop prior to this update on September 1st, 2022, were retroactively awarded these items.

What if I'm already a Guardian?
Great! When you buy any package, you will get both versions of the Black Death Cutlass directly added to your inventory.

If you miss the promotional period, Guardians can still get the Burning Black Death Cutlass. Head to the Guardian Tower to talk to Fortes. He has a shop for "Special Guardian Rewards" where you can buy the Burning Black Death Cutlass and any other special items released through these special promotions with Guardian Class Tokens. Make sure you completed the Guardian Initiation to unlock class gear.

The Dragon Archer

Find Arjyn
A merchant in the Trade District, Duthos, is looking for his brother. Young Arjyn wants to join the DragonSlayers. Make sure he made it to Mount Ashfall safely.
Note: This questline is best played with Ashfall Saga 100% complete



Arjyn
Arjyn really wants to be a DragonSlayer... but as an Archer. The others don't seem to be taking him seriously. Help him prove that archery can be useful and sway some recruits to join him.



Archer Training
Robina is happy to help spread the joy of archery. She knows which creatures give the best branches to craft starter bows in Greenguard Forest. Then help Arjyn improve his archery skills to impress Galanoth and the DragonSlayers.

Bow Crafting
Arjyn is inspired to create more bows to entice recruits to join him. Help him figure out where to gather materials for bow strings, fletching, and arrows by teaming up with the AQ3D community to find the locations of these items.



Dragon Striker
Help Arjyn convince DragonSlayer recruits to join his group and prove their mettle against Akriloth. That should show Galanoth how useful archers can be and you'll earn the title "Dragon Striker".



The Heartseeker
As a reward for his bravery and prowess, Senna has provided Arjyn blueprints for bow improvements. It'll take quite some time to gather the necessary materials to make these improvements to all of the Striker Bows, but Arjyn is determined. For your help, you get one of the first Dragon's Heartseeker bows!

Rowdy Barbarian Boys
A band of rowdy barbarians laid waste to a small town with their rough-housing. Guardian Gardenia could use a hand in taming them. Power up with a potion from Warlic to give you an extra fighting edge to take on these rowdy boys.



Shop of Rough-Housing
All of the barbarians have a chance to drop a Coin of Rough-Housing. This coin can be used at the Shop of Rough-Housing to obtain one of three weapons.
