Ever wonder why AdventureQuest 3D versions have so many numbers and periods? Me too. But this update is definitely the most "point five-iest" of them all.

• New Random Adventures!
  
• New Craft-able items (Use the battle gems you get from random adventures)
  
• Fixed that issue where your Daily Chest would not load properly (It was leaving the Chest unopened and still in your inventory.)
  
• Fixed that issue where fishing nodes could get stuck and stop working. (Go fish?)
  
• Fixed fullscreen images on certain resolutions where the close button was cut off.
  
• The item panel on a Dungeon Load screen will no longer be duplicated by triggering it multiple times.
  
• Gravity should now apply immediately on moving platforms (again).

Also, you can now craft these item's at Cyseros Forge from doing the random adventures.

My favorite new random adventure is the bar fight in yulgar's inn. Technically you can just stand back and let them punch each other to victory.


We were able to bring back a lot of our previous "orphaned" areas in this release. Places like Dragonwatch Keep that are no longer in the game will appear in the random rotation.

Introducing Darkon-- former hero turned artifact collector. It has become a yearly tradition to sell off the dregs of his immense collection to make room for more valuable pieces. Good new for you. Until you look at the price tag at least. What the heck is Darkon thinking? ...and something feels "unusual" about these items he is peddling.



Do you wish you could look more warrior-y, or mage-y, or rogue-y? Well now you can! Visit the class trainer shop and take on some quests to earn new class specific armor. Disclaimer: Side effects may include: big mage hat, masked rogue hood, winged warrior helm, and a rash in the armpits and unspeakable places. Check with your healer if trainer class quests are right for you.



Dage is famous for his dark and evil items... but it turns out he's not too shabby at making elegant & deadly things too. You will be able to craft these in next week's release-- which will add new random adventures to the travel crystal. Which is also, let's face it, is a filler quest week while the team participates in next week's game jam. #transparency

You can collect and switch between classes in AdventureQuest 3D. In testing now, is the system that will allow you to rank your class up. When you hit rank 10, you will unlock a "Cross Skill". This is a special skill that you can equip to any class. Read more about it at...

This year, we will be building a much bigger world of Lore together in AdventureQuest 3D.



In our previous games, the Town of Battleon has been a small town near a cross roads. How about an upgrade?



There are two notable things about our home town. First, Heroes seeking adventure, fame, and fortune are drawn to it... mostly because it is located smack dab in middle of our worlds most monster turbulent areas. Second, it is home to the Guardians... the sworn defenders of our world. The Guardian Tower has always been the central focal point of our town.



Llusion created concept drawings of our town as a Kingdom. A massive upgrade bringing stone roads, new shops, and even protective bridges leading outside of town.



The town square is re-imagined around the travel crystal (we actually have a different one not pictured here for spoiler reasons). The town would be split into several sections allowing it to be more dense with activity... npcs walking the streeths, outside seating like in Lolosia, and easier to access shops. And a lot.. more shops.



2019 is going to be a very interesting year. Battleon is the central hub of a large number of new areas (and revamped existing areas) coming in AdventureQuest 3D. Along with this we are designing our world map and re-doing how familiar areas are connected.

Here is an earlier concept without the town walls... which is decidedly less kingdom-like. In posting these screen shots it may appear that we have everything completely figured out. But other than creating assets we have not laid any bricks yet so if you have great ideas for what you really want in town (you know, when you come home from your adventures), this is a great place to let us know.

• Should the Kingdom of Battleon to have have a Castle and King? (Separate from Guardian Tower)
• Should you be able to enter every building you can walk to?
• What shops are the MOST vital -- the ones that should be in town square (Bank, Forge, Petshop, etc?)

Firework monsters are in town for a limit time which drop... fireworks!




There are barrels of fireworks walking around town... actually, they are Party Sneevils. Wack the barrel to unleash the chaos! They drop fireworks and defenders medals.




It is also Artix's birthday... so you know what he will be doing on his special day off. Logging into AdventureQuest 3D every few hours to do spontaneous live events to bring in the New Year of course!




Be sure to grab your daily Treasure Chest reward when you log in. You might get one of the new items we added including Thor's hammer, the Holly Knight set, and more.

You have two full months to get any of the new seasonal items out of your Daily Login Reward Treasure Chests with a better chance at the end of 7 days and your best chance at the end of a 28 day login streak. You can also use your Treasure Shards to buy specific items in that time.

If you don't get what you want, don't sweat it. These seasonals will be returning next year and every Frostval season from here on out.

Battleon is getting ready to blow you away with an explosive end of the year party.

Around New Years Eve, the Party Sneevil will arrive in Battleon and shoot of a massive fireworks show every time you defeat him. He will also drop a number of consumable fireworks that you can shoot off or save up for your own celebration!

Happy Frostval! The time has once again arrived for heroes and frost moglins alike to crowd close around the hearth, sing merry Frostval tunes, and mercilessly slaughter snow monsters.

Travel to Frostvale and explore the new town. While you're there, throw some snowballs at other heroes, quest through the holiday releases, and be sure to get that free ugly sweater armor for free... because it's free.



You will find snowballs on the ground in Frostvale. Yup, you can throw them! Monsters also have a chance of dropping Sniper Snowballs. These have a 100% chance irritating the player you want to annoy the most. Just equip them to your skill bar and let 'er rip.



"Icy what you did there..." There are about 25 Glacial items you can craft in Frostvale.



Play through the events of Frostval past. The Yettun is an abominable snow monster which attacked the Frost Moglins and took control of their lands. Only the little Frost Moglin, Blizzy, was brave enough to stand up to him... but Blizzy is going to need your help.



Battle the three leaders of the army attacking our home town. Faustbite, Phrozen and Sleet hail from that massive castle you will see in the distance, looming over Frostvale. But this week, you can gather friends to take all three of them on and craft awesome gear. Next week... we will enter their castle!



Uh. Yes. This actually happened. Players battled a single festively decorated holiday bush for 5+ hours in Yulgars Inn. It had over 9,500,000 HP. AdventureQuest 3D may have some of the craziest gamers in the world.



So, to honor them, we have released an Ugly Bush Sweater Armor for all players. You can get it from Blizzy in Frostvale, but beware, rumors are spreading that the bushes are quietly plotting (potting?) their revenge.

Since you've already seen this promo a few times, instead about talking about it, I will talk about how this may be our most blue-themed news upset ever! So much blue! Seriously, scroll through and just feast your eyes on all of the blue. Also, Cysero is sitting beside me endlessly humming Frostval music. I might have to hurt him soon.



Get ready to enter the Frostlorn Castle next week. Be warned, the Frostlorn itself is HUGE. The boss fight will be special much like the Braken and Fire Dragon battles. You can see video clips of both of these fights in the new AdventureQuest 3D which just dropped. Going to add it here to Steam shortly. Meanwhile, if you have been opening your free daily treasure chests, you should have your first rare Warlord chest by now. Hope you got (or are about to get) something awesome. See you in Frostvale!
