"Previously, on the Dragons of Ashfall"
Watch the video for the story so far. At the heart of the volcano, sleeps a Great Dragon. It is more massive than any dragon you have seen in our world. Our enemy, Talyn, plans to awaken the beast and control it. To awaken the Great Dragon from it's slumber he must gather four tributes: food, gold, an army, and a magical artifact known as... the Fire Orb. As you read this, Talyn has already entered the volcano. He must be stopped...

DragonSlayers are the elite hunters of Dragons. Their skills are finely honed giving them bonuses when battling dragonkind. Now, ALL PLAYERS, can earn the DragonSlayer class by doing storyline and daily quests to earn DragonSlayer Tokens. Talk to Galanoth in Ashfall to get started!

Once you are a DragonSlayer, you can continue earning tokens to unlock exclusive class gear including Galanoth's helmet and yes... oh yes... the legendary Dragon's Blade. We built this shop like the collections we released in the holiday. Which means once you unlock an item, you will have permanent access and be able to re-get it whenever you want. for 0 gold-- saving you that precious inventory space.




In this epic finale to the Dragons of Ashfall Saga, you will battle alongside Galanoth, Kord, Senna and Gibbs. Each of these dragonslayers has a motivation for defeating Talyn, or the Great Dragon at the heart of the volcano.

Once you complete the story, you will unlock new craftable items. Be sure to check in with Senna, the DragonSlayer's Quartermaster to see all of the sets which include...

Reaching level 20 will unlock our first raid boss fight.


Bring your friends and prepare for the most challenging battle in AdventureQuest 3D yet. You will all need to be max level and fully decked out. Unlike the single player boss fight, the enemy will not telegraph their attacks. So be sure to practice. I wish I could show you a screenshot of the actual fight (The screenshot above is from the first room of the story).... but Cysero told me if I posted any spoilers he would re-arrange my DNA. Check back in a few days for a post on "DEATH".




It has taken nearly a year to create the tools, systems, and processes that allow us to create amazing adventures and stories like Ashfall Part III. This is a special release for both the players and the team. Thank you for your loyalty, encouragement, and passion for our world. This release marks the start of many new epic adventures together (...and ones that will come much faster, LOL!)




Next week we will release those two dungeons to the right and left at the top of Mount Ashfall. Then, it is time for Dage's birthday-- a gateway will open to new area of the Underworld. Heroes should be advised to be weary of signing any "contracts" in the underworld. Then the Shaman Forest and Dragon's Graveyard will quickly follow. Check our homepage daily for the newest design notes on our progress.... Oh! Every Monday we update the GAME PLAN. Feels pretty good that we knocked a few items off of that list already. It has only bee a week since it was posted.

Leader of the DragonSlayers
Everyone has heard of the DragonSlayer's iconic and heavily armored leader, Galanoth. He wields the legendary sword, the Dragon Blade. However, no one has ever seen his face*. Stoic and obsessed with eliminating the the threat of dragons, he is a man of a single purpose. Now, Galanoth prepares to lead the DragonSlayers on the ultimate hunt, deep in the heart of Ashfall's volcano. Want to join them?


Evil Lord of Dragons
Legend says there are amulets that grant the power to control dragons. Talyn possesses such an amulet. How he got it is a mystery. However, what he intends to do with it has become horrifyingly clear. See, a DragonAmulet does far more than just allow someone to control dragons. Its ultimate ability allows you to bind yourself to a dragon. This bond is for life. It grants both the owner of the amulet, and their dragon, incredible powers and abilities. Talyn used his amulet to do this once... but his dragon has been slain*. He is clearly seeking a new dragon, but not just any dragon. At the heart of Ashfall's volcano sleeps an Great Dragon. It is MASSIVE. It is SMART. It is... well, best left asleep. Few people in the world have ever laid eyes on a Great Dragon and lived to tell the tale. Galanoth and his second in command, Kord, have. A Great Fire Dragon. The same one Talyn is going to try to awaken and bind himself to in the volcano...


2nd in Command of the DragonSlayers
Kord is strong, loyal, and charismatic commander. He is the glue which keeps the order of DragonSlayers together. He would have to be, because Galanoth can really come off as a dragon obsessed jerk. You could make a strong argument that there would not even be an Order of DragonSlayers without Kord. As new recruits flock to the iconic Galanoth because of his fame and legend-- Kord is the one who finds them a place within the DragonSlayer's ranks. Perhaps you had a similar experience when joining the DragonSlayers? Kord is one of the original members. Why is he so loyal to Galanoth? Well, Galanoth saved him when a Great Fire Dragon destroyed his home town, leaving him orphaned. Kord was just a boy back then-- and despite Galanoth's repeated attempts to shoo him away, Kord refused to leave his side. He became an expert at slaying dragons... and Galanoth's trusted, right hand man.


DragonSlayer Quartermaster
Senna is no stranger to a weapon, but her resourcefulness and charm made her a natural at trading with locals for food, supplies, armor and weapons. A Quartermaster's job is to keep the troops equipped for combat. Whatever she cannot buy, she can craft. If she secretly has a thing with Kord, they are doing a pretty freaking good job of keeping it secret.


Demolitions "Expert"... and Brother
"I make things go boom!" Gibbs and his sister Essa are both skilled DragonSlayers. Both came to the DragonSlayer Order after, like Kord, a dragon destroyed their town and left them without parents. Since then they have done what they can to support an orphanage for victims of dragon attacks. Normally they are assigned together, but during the Ashfall campaign they were split up. His sister, Essa, was assigned to protect the people of Brimston village*.


Galanoth is preparing his speech to boost the morale of of the DragonSlayers before entering the volcano, Mount Ashfall. We will fight side by side and emerge victorious, or fall, as one!

Did you ever notice that little mouse hole in Yulgar’s Inn? What if you could find a way to shrink down to a tiny size and go in there? Well now you can. What could you possibly find? Parkour… strange loot... a Badge? Log in and find out!



Keep your eyes open, and you will find a secret parkour course hidden in this new adventure. The prize for reaching the top of the course? An exploration achievement badge! But... BE CAREFUL! When designing the course, Yergen deviously add some MwP “Mess with Players” mechanics. This will allow you to do terrible things to your fellow micro-ninja-warriors.

New Feature! You can now craft a piece of cheese that will transform you into, um, something... “Squeek!” This is a consumable “single use” item. And yes, everyone is able to make some cheese through regular game play in this adventure.



The Vurrmen are a race of giant rat monsters that first appeared in our 2D web game, DragonFable. Who would have believed back in 2007 as artist/ninja Thyton was drawing it, that he would be involved in creating a 3D version of it today! Granted, the Vurrmen are still small and rat sized at this point in the game’s story. But if you can become small… what is stopping them from finding a way to become big? Beware the Vurrmenator.



The wait is nearly over. Korin is finishing the last 2 incredible, fully animated cutscenes. Until then, here is a sneak peek of the Dragon Beserker armor sets that you will earn from battling the Great Dragon at the heart of Ashfall’s volcano. Yes, these armors will use your skin color.'



Over 2,000 players gave their deepest thoughts about AdventureQuest 3D to a survey that deep down inside they figured no one would read. SURPRISE! We did. All of them O_O. Read everything we learned and our new game plan.

The mouse hole was a fan favorite adventure from the original 2D AdventureQuest. It was one of those strange and memorable things that gave the game its charm. We are excited to see if you can find the way into our re-imagined adventure… maybe the Warlic in the magic shop can help? The Mouse Hole is available now, and it is the first of several adventures coming to new Yulgar’s Inn.
