Hello everyone!

Just a quick news to give you some information about our progress, and what our teams are currently working on. Some of you are already following our roadmap so you’ll be aware of most of these points, but we wanted to share them through this news as well to share our progress with everyone.



Localization of Wolcen
First of all, we would like to thank our community member Felipe Vianna for his work on the Portuguese Brazilian localization of the game. We’re happy to announce to you that we will implement the selection of this language next week.
Know that we’re also making progress thanks to our community members for Hungarian(handled by Lostprophet.hu), Polish(handled by d4ntes and Noriaa) and Spanish(handled by Ashok) languages. Although the possibility to select these languages will also be implemented next week, you won’t be able to access them since it won’t be over yet. But as soon as they are ready, we will push a small hotfix to make them available to you.

Remember that if you’d like to contribute to the localization of Wolcen for the release, you’re welcome to join our team.
We use Crowdin for that purpose, which allows a smoother and clearer progression on localization and updates, and we’re working closely with our community members to ensure that they have everything they need to make an awesome localization for Wolcen in any language.

OST for Kickstarter backers
We received the keys from Steam and we will send them soon. We will give you more information about this early next week, but we can already tell you that you will receive the pack with the OST and the banner, badge, portrait, and frame for our Official forums!



Player character
All the attack combos for the male and female characters have been improved. Our programmers are also reimplementing the character creation system, including male and female character, beard, hair, and eyes.

Armors and Weapons
At the release of the game, 11 tiers of armors and weapons will be available during the character progression. At least 15 new Uniques will be added as well, and more will be progressively implemented through free gameplay patches following the release of the game.
Our teams are also currently working on the integration of the Cosmetic inventory, including armor skin swap and a very refined tinting interface, allowing players to apply a great variety of colors and tones to the materials of every armor.



Apocalyptic forms
4 Apocalyptic forms will be available at the release and each of them have unique skills and ultimates. We will share a few dedicated news later about apocalyptic forms to present each of them to you.

New player skills
16 skills will be added at the release including 4 summoning skills for Necromancer profiles. One section of the Gate of Fates’ 3rd ring will be dedicated to that specialization, granting exceptional bonuses to minions and their summoner. As we approach the release of the game, we will give you more information about all the skills and their modifiers.



Gate of Fates
The third ring of the Gate of Fates contains a total of 216 nodes, including 36 major nodes. 12 new sections are added to the Gate of Fates and each contains 18 nodes.

Skill Mastery System
Players will have the possibility to have several versions of the same skill in their skill bar, one obtainable during the campaign, and more during the endgame. Each version of the skill will have its own progression, allowing players to choose different modifiers for each skill. However, their cooldown will be shared.



Crafting
We will make more detailed news on crafting in the future, but for the moment, we can already share with you that crafting will imply the use of gems(whose values will be fixed at the release) and various quality of reagents, allowing players to secure and modify affixes on their items.


Of course, we’ve made progress on a lot of other topics, Acts II and III, secondary content, endgame, skills, Gate of Fates 3rd ring, area modifiers and so many other subjects, but these topics are the ones we chose to share today, and we will share more details about our progression in future news as we approach the release of the game, planned in January 2020.

In February 2019, we shared a video and information with you that the team was in Prague with the amazing City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, recording the Soundtrack of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, composed by Jean-Gabriel Raynaud and Cédric Baravaglio.

Today, we’re very happy to announce to you that the Original Soundtrack is now available on Amazon, iTunes, Bandcamp, and downloadable on Steam through the Standard Downloadable Soundtrack offer!

Our eligible Kickstarter backers(Knight+ rank) will receive an email next week with a downloadable link of Wolcen's Soundtrack. Please make sure that your email is up to date on your Kickstarter survey for Wolcen!

About the Soundtrack

Jean-Gabriel Raynaud and Cédric Baravaglio are wonderful composers, and it’s been an honor for us to work with such passionate musicians who understood all the importance music has for us in video games. We worked very closely with them to make sure that all the scenario, the atmosphere, and the epicness are beautifully reflected in the Soundtrack of Wolcen.
We’re proud of everything we’ve accomplished with them, and all this work led us to end up with one of the most epic and longest Soundtrack ever added into a video game, with a total of approximately 8 hours of music!

We’ve worked on the Official Forums and added some nice features to it, along with making it more good-looking!

Badges are up!
Tons of badges were added to the forum, including the Kickstarter badges for our backers! We’ve also added badges for our Alpha, Beta players, and another badge if you link your Twitch account to your Wolcen official website account.
You can accumulate up to 16 badges on the same profile.
This feature is available on your account profile of the Official website.

More badges will be available in the future, with several ways to unlock them. Badges eligible for unlocking will appear greyed out in the profile section, and the details to unlock them will be given on that same page.

I’m a backer
If you’ve already created an account on our website, by using Steam, Twitch, or from scratch using the subscription form, you can link your Kickstarter email to that account by just going into your profile section. If not, you have to create your account first, then go on this webpage.

You can acquire banners in different ways; just by login on the website; by logging in with Steam if you own the game, by linking a Twitch account to your profile, or by watching a Wolcen stream on Twitch.

Banners are surrounding your avatar and give you a very cool visual on the forums.

We were not really satisfied with the font and layout of our forums and we brought some changes to make it more friendly to use and read.

We’re pushing another hotfix today to fix a few crashes and review the Wrath of Sarisel behavior in solo games.


  • The invulnerability phase of the Sarisel monsters is removed: once they spawn next to the players, they don't disappear anymore and can be killed.

    Untainted Shadowblade
  • HP reduced by 50%.
  • Doesn’t use its impale skill against solo players anymore.

    Untainted Mindsealer
  • HP reduced by 50%.

    Untainted Zealot
  • No longer invulnerable: it is now possible to directly deal damage to him.
  • Destroying one of its clones still removes 10% of its total HP.



  • Fixed several crashes
  • Candidate fix for missing equipment on characters' skin. Please let us know if this happens again.
  • Server optimization.


  • Fixed some ailment gameplay particules not being applied to monsters anymore (including Sacred and Shadow)


  • Fixed a few missing strings in the English localization, if you see any of them left, please let us know!
  • Updated German localization thanks to CoTTo!

Hello everyone!

We’re applying a very short but meaningful patch today to improve loading times, CPU usage, and memory allocation crash at launch.
Take note that the loading time improvement requires a short manipulation detailed just below.


  • Fixed a memory issue that led the game to crash, close, or affect other applications at launch. If you performed the page file manipulation to make the game launch properly, you can now restore your initial parameters in Windows, it’s no longer required. Please refer to this topic in “Memory allocation errors” to reverse the manipulation done.

  • Improved CPU usage for the game, please let us know if you see improvements or not.

  • Improved loading times(up to 50% better on SSD): since this option presents some risks for the game stability, it is optional and you will have to activate it following these steps:
    1. In your game Library, right-click on Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem and choose "Properties"



    2. In the General tab, click on “Set Launch Options” and type “-PLL” in the field



    3. Press “OK”, launch the game, enjoy fast loading times!


  • The English files have been cleaned up from old keys now unused in the game. If you see any key missing(showing as @ui…), please let us know so we can fix this as soon as possible.
  • Russian localization has been updated thanks to Andrey "@lk0z@uru$" Chertkov
    Tsyganova Olesya Viktorovna and Evgeny "Autentist" Kuznetsov. There is still some work that needs to be done and we will continue to update the Russian localization in the next few weeks with micro patches.
  • German localization has been updated thanks to CoTTo.
  • The message asking you to reboot your game when you switch language has been restored in English for Russian and Simplified Chinese so it’s properly displayed. The English font didn’t allow these characters to show if the message was translated.

Hello everyone,

Here is the patch note for today's hotfix, including Simplified Chinese localization back in the game, and updates for various localization along with some bug fixing!



  • Using right-click on a skill in the action bar opens the ASM details for selected skills.
  • Bows damage has been globally increased.


  • Characters should no longer be stuck under the ground after being grabbed by the Untainted Mindsealer or Untainted Zealot.
  • The Untainted Mindsealer selection capsule has been reduced.


  • Drinking potions now counts as a movement for all skills interruption.
  • Active Dodge now counts as a movement for all skills interruption.
  • All skills are now working properly with the Animation cancel feature. Performing a movement or an action counting as a movement will now interrupt the skills correctly.
  • Bladestorm responsiveness has been increased.
  • Wrath of Baäpheth “Stolen Light” node should now have the proper VFX for sacred damage.
  • Consuming Embers “Object of Desire” node should now affect allies properly.


  • Fixed an issue with the music state for Vhegguad boss fight.


  • Added Simplified Chinese localization thanks to Wshepherd(传说娘), Spendaem(夜紫尘) and MshKai(陌上花开).
  • German localization improvements thanks to CoTTo.
  • Russian localization has been updated thanks to Andrey "@lk0z@uru$" Chertkov, Tsyganova Olesya Viktorovna, and Evgeny "Autentist" Kuznetsov.
  • Updated missing strings for English localization.

Hello everyone!

We would like to inform you that a hotfix is planned for next week. In addition to bringing improvements to Bladestorm and fixing a few bugs like the Consuming Embers buff, the hotfix will also contain:

Animation cancel improvement: The setup for this system was not optimal in the latest version for certain skills(Consuming Embers for example). With the next hotfix, all skills will be properly set up with the animation cancel system when the character performs a “movement”. Potions and dodge roll will also count as “movements”, therefore have a higher priority over skills when they are used. This will drastically improve the fluidity of actions in-game and survivability in dangerous situations.

Simplified Chinese localization: Thanks to Wshepherd(传说娘), Spendaem(夜紫尘) and MshKai(陌上花开), we will be able to restore the Simplified Chinese localization in the game. We want to thank these awesome members of our community for their help, they’ve done a great job and we’re more than happy to reintroduce Chinese in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem.

German localization improvement: CoTTo has also provided us with the latest files of the German localization and we will update it with the hotfix planned next week. Many thanks to him as well!

On a side note concerning localization, we will now be using the Crowdin website for future localizations of the game. We find it to be quite user-friendly and practical for our use, so any member of the community from any language can participate in making the game available in tons of languages at the release.

Here is another update that fixes many issues you encountered, and we are still working to fix few other ones for you to have the best experience possible.


  • fixed several client and server crashes
  • fixed PST node "Immortal Offering" and added visual feedback through icons
  • fixed the Zapstick status effect conversion not behaving correctly
  • fixed Sarisel Tracker's projectile pathing in slopes
  • fixed a bug causing the AST UI to be empty
  • fixed several issues on the Wrath of Sarisel victory screen UI
  • fixed adventure mode quest UI when joining an existing game
  • Fixed a bug where chest didn't drop items in higher difficulties.


  • Multiple Untainted monsters can now be active at the same time.

    Untainted Shadowblade:
  • The damage of all his attacks are increased by 100%.

    Untainted Zealot:
  • The damage of its melee attack are increased by 50%.
  • The damage of its clones are increased by 100%.

    Untainted Mindsealer:
  • HP reduced by 15%.
  • The damage of both Melee Attack are increased by 100%.


  • Increased the passive node "gods amongst men" from +30% material damage to +80% material damage.
  • Bladestorm now hits faster after his activation.
  • Increased bladestorm base damage from 75%-85% to 90%-100%.



We are still actively investigating the following issues, and will hotfix them as soon as possible:
  • Skills sometimes not doing damage
  • Chinese OS language causing the game to crash at launch
  • Butcher hook sometimes freezing the game
  • Ally players appearing without their equipment when joining a game

Hello everyone!

Here is another hotfix for Wrath of Sarisel Content Patch. We’re still working on some issues including some spells not working properly, and some other crash reports. Another hotfix is planned for the end of the week or early next week.


  • Improved the Trading window to behave like the other inventories
  • “Lure Untainteds” now costs the displayed price instead of costing twice that price.


  • Fixed an issue breaking the navmesh generation in dungeons.
  • Altars should not show a minimap icon if they’re not there anymore.
  • Altars’ tooltip should now appear at the correct location on 1080p monitors.


  • Cursed chest should not fly and be impossible to interact with anymore.
  • The mouse scroll should not be unresponsive on the details section of the Sarisel Victory screen.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed to Lure Untainteds with only 3 Area Modifiers.


  • The Nemesis VFX for the Untainted Zealot has been improved to make it more visible.
  • Attacking the Zealot when he’s invincible now displays an invulnerability text.


  • Gunslinger’s Brand can now benefit from pierce effect and projectile speed.
  • ‘Avenger’ Autoturret can now benefit from pierce effect and projectile speed.
  • Bladestorm’s responsiveness with Voknafein’s Conviction has been improved.


  • Zapstick Unique item now works properly.
  • Genesis item (legacy and latest drop) now all work properly.
  • Item comparison should now work properly when pressing shift.


  • Sounds have been added for Area modifiers.


  • German localization had been updated. Many thanks to CoTTo!


  • Fixed several crashes.
  • The issue with Russian localization preventing players to use the Active Skills Modifiers panel properly should now be fixed.

  • Shrines buff distance upon completion is increased from 25m to 35m
  • Shrines buffs values have been reviewed:
    - Movement speed bonus is decreased from +100% to +70%.
    - Life Leech bonus is decreased from +20% to +15%.
    - Critical Chance Score bonus is increased from +20% to +50%.
    - Critical Damage bonus is increased from 20% to 50%.
    - Health bonus is increased from +20% to +25%.
    - Force Shield bonus is increased from +20% to +35%.
    - Status Ailment Score bonus is increased from 20% to 50%.
    - Attribute bonus is increased from 20 to 25.


  • Genesis Unique item shoudn't cast 100 spells anymore.
  • Sea Tamer now indicates that you can proc lightning instead of "cast Thunderstrike" since it doesn't cast the spell itself.
  • Damaskus final legendary chest reward disappeared for players connected since the update. It should not be the case anymore.


  • The Untainted Mindsealer selection capsule has been improved to fit the creature's shape.
  • While fighting an Untainted Shadowblade in solo, you should not have a warning message dedicated to Multiplayer anymore.
  • Expedition rewards should not provide white quality items anymore.


  • All skills with less than 1 second cooldown now have a 0.1 second cooldown.
  • 'Avenger' Autoturret range has been reduced.


  • Update on various lines and typo corrections.
  • Russian localization has been updated and is now available. Many thanks to our community member Alk0zAuruS for the job he made on 90% of the Russian translation.

  • Some skills getting stuck until the resource is depleted are fixed, we're still working on the remaining skills.
  • Characters should no longer be stuck after finishing the campaign.
  • Several candidate fix for various client crashes.
