Hello Furi players,

We're released today a new game on Steam: Squids Odyssey. Squids Odyssey is actually our first game! It's a tactical RPG with little Squids wearing hats.

Of course it's very different from Furi, but still it shares with Furi some of our DNA as game creators.

Don't be fooled by its colourful and joyful style, it can also get tough and it requires skills and strategy to beat the murky crustaceans. And there's a completely redesigned Pro Mode for the more hardcore players.

Different versions of the game have been enjoyed on different platforms by many players, but here we are bringing on Steam the deluxe version, with all content ever created and tons of improvements. Plus great controls on PC, especially with a pad.

We are happy to bring an update to Furi on Steam: the Invincible mode

In the vein of Soma‘s Safe mode or Celeste’s Assist mode, the Invincible mode is great for players who want to overcome a challenging fight to enjoy the audiovisual and narrative experience that is Furi.
But it’s also perfect for gamers who want to practice their fight, in particular speedrunners looking to improve their record!

We’ve also added a new control scheme that was directly inspired by discussions with gamers from this community.

The update is free, and a Steam Daily Deal is bringing the game at 7,99 $ / € (-60%) starting at10AM PST / 19h CET today.

• The Invincible mode: a set of commands that can be used to become invincible, skip a fight, skip or lock a certain phase in a fight, or weaken a boss. The feature can be used in Story mode by players who want to focus on the narrative and audio visual experience without worrying about the challenging fights. It enables players to skip completely a boss or just a difficult phase. But it can also be used by experienced players to practice their skills, in particular by speedrunners looking to improve their time on specific combat phases.
  
  
• Control Scheme D: an alternate control scheme, that helps dodging or parrying while shooting/slashing, and was designed based on discussion with the game community.

Since Furi’s release, we have wanted to share with fans and videogame lovers the amazing work done by the Furi art team over the two years of development. We are happy to announce we have gathered it all in a beautiful artbook.

In Furi Complete Artworks you will find the ultra-detailed characters sketches by Takashi Okazaki – renowned mangaka and the game character artist – but also work by the whole of Furi Art team: the environments concept art, cutscenes storyboards or even research drawings for combat moves.

Notes from the dev team help understand the creative process behind the guardians, their worlds and Rider, as well as the nurturing back and forth between game design and art. There is also a Bonus section that includes artworks for characters or scenes that didn’t make it into the game.

Furi Complete Artworks comes as a softcover book of 144 pages, on art-quality paper, measuring 255 x 180 mm (10 x 7 inches) with dust jacket.

It is priced at 30 € / 30$ and is available now.

We have released an update (v.1.4.94) with simplified Chinese and Polish languages support. A big thank you to Furi awesome fan Bartek that made the Polish version happen.

We also made sure the game was playable with the Switch Pro Controller (when you activate Steam’s assistance for controllers).

We still have a to-do list for Furi updates as well as maintenance. Next will probably be the Furier Speedrun in the main branch. Should be pretty soon.

That’s it, the race for the best score at Speedrunning Furi in Furier difficulty is open!

For the Speedrunners looking for the extra challenge, we have released just now the Beta version of Furi with the Speedrun mode in Furier difficulty.
The One More Fight DLC bosses The Flame and Bernard are included for the complete challenge.

HOW TO:

• If you own the game on Steam you can get the Beta
  
• In Steam, do “Properties” on Furi in your library. The Beta tab will appear, enter the password: FurierSpeedrun.
  
• Then selecting the Beta FurierSpeedrun in the list will download the patch.
  
• If ever you would like to return to the original Furi game, you can chose “none” in the same property list.

As a reminder the Furi secret TGB code is a cheat code on Furi’s main screen that unlocks the Speedrun mode and the Furier difficulty from a fresh save. Check it here: https://youtu.be/zdbDZMkfl7E
