It's been a while!

Hello! Sorry for the lack of communication recently, we've been out and about showing Super Arcade and giving a couple of talks about it too:


But, fear not, we've also been working on it A LOT, and are happy to have another update.

What's new:
  • Added Localisation!
    Mamma Mia! We've translated the full game to Italiano, and also layed the foundations for many more languages. We're at a point where we are going to be adding a lot more UI and text, so we decided to handle different languages earlier rather than later.

  • Randomised teams in preset tournaments!
    Thanks to your suggestions, you will have different teams in your groups when you play the World Cup and the Euros.

  • Added Morocco!
    Because, we love Morocco.

  • Improved Frame Rate!
    Those of you with beastly PCs may not notice this, but those on the lower end should see a massive improvement.

  • Bug Fixes!
    Lots of bug fixes in this one (mainly UI)

    We're working on lots of things behind the scenes, and working towards more features and content, can't wait to share those with you soon, and release them in the game!

Another update for you all!


What's new:
  • Referee!
    We've now made the referee a lot smarter and consistent, he looks forward to you all yelling and hurling abuse at him.

  • Injury Time Added!
    The match won't stop dead on 45/90 mins anymore, a combination of fouls and match breaks are taken into consideration when deciding how much time to add on to each half.

  • Bug Fixes!
    Some of you have pointed out some real horrible UI menu bugs, (thanks!). They have now been squashed and more will be fixed within the oncoming updates.

    We've also synced our Steam announcement numbers with our version numbers too, which I'm sure everyone is pleased about the most.

Hello once again!

Another update for you all!

What's New?
  • Throw-Ins!
    Finally our players have learnt the art of throwing a ball! We may tweak the physics of this, as at the moment it seems they can throw like olympic shot putters.
  • Customise controls!
    PC and Gamepad users can now assign your own custom controls (these will be saved for keyboard and first gamepad)
  • Keyboard is now separate from the other controllers
    If you have one keyboard and one gamepad, you can now play 2 player (previous versions treated keyboard and gamepad 1 as the same )
  • PS4 controller users no longer have to see xbox ui buttons everywhere
  • Other small bug fixes

The referee is still going through extensive training, he is our next priority to get fixed!

We're back again with a new update!



What's New:
  • Settings Menu
    There are lots of settings to be added to it, but we've included the basic orientation and audio settings.
  • Custom GameModes
    You can now create your own custom game mode! Choose how long each match is, pitch type, game type, score limit and add...
  • MODIFIERS
    Add crazy gameplay modifiers to your custom match:
    Sleepy Keeper
    Loose Ball
    No Fouls
    and MORE!
    (lots more to be added, oh yes)
  • Bug Fixes
  • Auto Load/Save of settings and custom match
  • New Zealand added

Hope you all like this update, we've been playing a lot with some really fun custom settings.




*PLEASE NOTE* Our graphic designer has been selfishly enjoying a holiday whilst we've been working on this update, so the look of the new menus are nowhere near final, he will most likely vomit change them once he sees them!

We've just updated a new version of SAF for you all to enjoy. It's a lot more balanced we thinks, you can really struggle as Tahiti vs Germany.

What's new?

  • Skip Replay (If you scored the goal or if it's an AI Goal)
  • Fixed kick off bug
  • Tweaked Player Physics
  • Fixed wrong corners / Throw ins
  • Auto resize resolutions
  • Much better difference between teams/players
  • Icey Mode improved
  • AI Teams now try and defend / tackle!
  • Removed dead times (when waiting for players to get the ball)
  • General Bug Fixes

Please let us know your thoughts on these changes. Big thank you to the guys who spotted the wrong corner bugs and also the resolution bugs, would have been hard to spot them!

We're working hard and fast on the next update (we're trying to get one out once a week, and currently seem to be on track). The next update we hope to include the much desired Settings Menu, Load and Save and a more logical referee!

Eurogamer REZZED
In other news, we had an absolute blast at EGX Rezzed! Not sure how many people played SAF (definitely over 1,000!), but they all seemed to really enjoy themselves, and many of them came back for more quick matches; (we even lost a few times to some absolute beasts).



Watching such a wide range of people play the game was really beneficial for us, we noticed lots of common things that we can work on to make the game even better (good and bad), and we received some more great feedback and ideas for the game.



DEMO
In even more other news...
We have made a demo for Super Arcade Football. It's downloadable through itchio and from here on steam soon (takes a few days for it to appear). So if you know anyone on the fence about getting SAF, point them to the demo. It's limited in terms of features, team's,game types and number of matches, but we hope can provide a good demonstration of the game.

Oi Oiiii!

We've been on Early Access for about 3 days and are super happy with the response, we know the game has a long way to go but are pleased to see so many of you enjoying it (and coming up with great suggestions)

Today we have updated the version on steam, we've been jotting down EVERYTHING said on here (good and bad) and are working on making this game great.

What's new in this version?

  • Added a button (LB) for switching player
  • Revised the Auto Switch
  • Added better keyboard support (showing the controls on the controller screen)
  • Improved the(Local)multiplayer experience
  • Fixed some bugs

With the revised auto switching + manual switch button, hopefully you will feel more in control of your team, especially when in defense.

For the remainder of this week, we will be at EGX Rezzed showing SAF to lots and lots of people. We'll still be keeping up to date with your feedback and comments on here and all the other social media stuff, but if you are in London this week, come down to EGX and say hi, and try and beat us at our own game!

How exciting!

First off, a massive thank you to our testers, you've all been fab and given us some great great feedback, we'll still be updating the test build every now and then, and will be sending out a feedback questionnaire soon!

The journey starts today (...well, April 4th) and we are super excited to make this game with you lot!

I'll start a discussions page (similar to the one in our greenlight) for you to post your ideas and feedback.
