Enter the Gungeon - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (John Walker)

One of my favourite things about end of year lists on RPS is they never match the personal list of any individual writer. They’re a compromise between us all, an erratic, uncoordinated vote where consensus sees games of real worth rising to the top and filling our annual advent calendar. It makes for a list that’s far more broad and useful to the largest number of readers. And because it’s driven by nothing other than what we’ve all enjoyed that year is equally likely to be filled with the tripliest of As and the most obscure of indies. Still though, it leaves me wanting to say, “But! But there are THESE games too!” So below is my list of >my favourite games of 2016, far less useful to far fewer readers, but goodness me, a collection of games that deserve adulation.> … [visit site to read more]

We pushed a patch today to take care of a few issues:

-improved performance on some barrens maps, namely the Dormitories map
-gave Documents higher text contrast to make them easier to read
-replaced "SomeplaceIKnow" with new version (this had to be done)
-minor typo fix
-out of bounds fix in the Glen
-minor tile issues in the cliffs and the forest map
-fixed map transition on "start point" map
-fixed animation issues with lamplighter if you did a very specific set of actions
-can no longer open inventory and fast travel at the same time from the Menu
-fixed the bug when using fast travel on the observation deck

If you find any more bugs, please report them here in the bugs subforum, as we're still working on fixing all of them: http://steamcommunity.com/app/420530/discussions/1/

So we finally have the Windows 7 crash resolved, I believe (at least that's what testers have reported). We still have a number of other bugs we're working on but this was a big one that we really wanted to get done asap. Here's a more detailed list of what was changed:

-Win7 crash fixed (had to rework how we were doing popups for this one)
-Various typos fixed (I'm sure there's still more of these)
-Page explaining fast travel
-Additional page saying "game was designed for windowed"
-Niko no longer grows human ears at chess or pancakes
-Clock hacker
-Photos
-Penguin

Thank you for being patient, and please report any more bugs that you discover in the bugs forum: http://steamcommunity.com/app/420530/discussions/1/

I’ve never played a game like OneShot [official site]. I’ve played rather a lot of games, too. It’s also been a really long time since I’ve cared about a game’s main character quite so much, to the point where decisions really mattered to me. Which is rather a lot to say of a game made in RPGMaker. But then this is a game that does stuff with that cutesy engine that I would never have thought possible. It does stuff with my PC> that I didn’t know games could do. This is quite the thing. Here’s wot I think: … [visit site to read more]
