In the Kelly update, there were some items and ideas that never saw the light of day. These are some images of such things that were taken out from the official release of the update.

The Vault Doors Carried More Labor
In the beginning of development for Kelly, there were single gold bars that players had to bring to the escape trucks. It was also very tedious in which the escape/loot trucks were further out than what the release version has it.

This seriously could have been a merge of gold rush and forest convoy... mein gott.

Cleaning Haus With A Whole Party Here
When we first got our hands on the Welrod for the first time... it was interesting to say the least. One of us tested out the new guard spawn system for Kelly. What we found out is that the guard in the bank, if dead, will always respawn another guard from the door to the right inside the bank. This is the aftermath after a minute from the Welrod.

How many guards does it take to make a bad pun about this body count? Nein.

Driving Inside A Bank Is Borderline Insanity
In the early days of Kelly, there use to be transportation to help carry the extra gold out. That proved to be pointless in the long game since a loot truck could arrive closer to the bank than further away that halts the pacing of the level.

It was good cover, but it would be impossible to get it out the bank in time.

Thank you all for reporting issues, and we have taken note, and here is a patch update!
Next week we will add the respawn system to more levels!


Patch notes:
General:
  • Added missing strings in languages that didn’t have them
  • Coin holding pose has been updated
Rogues Gallery:
  • Fixed issue where players can hide in desks preventing enemies to shoot them
Countdown:
  • Fixed an area where players can get stuck on fuel tank
Kelly:
  • Fixed some props in the air
  • "Safe Guard" Achievement fixed
  • "… Heroes" Achievement fixed
  • Fixed collision on sidewalks where players could get stuck
  • Fixed a timing issue for the open the vault objective
  • Fixed crowbar positions
  • Fixed missing window textures on some of the buildings
  • Fixed missing floor textures on one of the back-alley areas
  • Fixed missing wall textures on one of the back-alley areas
  • Fixed some Z-fighting on some of the soldier spawns

Raiders! Time has come, Update 19 is here! We really hope that you enjoy the new additions, changes and fixes to the game. Remember to keep us posted on any feedback or issues that you find in the forums, or come join us on our discord for good chats with helpful people.

We have been working really hard on this, and we really hope that you like it. Below is the change log for the 19:th Update of RAID. Enjoy!


Update 19 change log:

Additions
  • Added the "Kelly" raid into the game
  • Added the "Decoy coin" as a new throwable ( Unlocks: Recon: 7, Assault: 12, Insurgent: 11, Demolition: 15 )
  • Added the "Welrod" as a new secondary ( Unlocks: Recon: 19, Assault: 22, Insurgent: 20, Demolition: 23 )
  • All classes can now unlock all tier 4 weapon upgrades ( No longer locked by class )
  • Added Mrs White lines to the "Countdown" raid
  • Added Briefings and intel VO for the "Countdown" raid
  • Added buckets to practice coin throws in the camp
  • Added Jeff to credits ( Hi Jeff! )

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where notification in the inventory screen for secondaries would stay permanent
  • Enemies no longer alert enemies around them if they die while suspicious ( Yellow icon )
  • Fixed some VO related issues on "Countdown"
  • Fixed Lee Enfield reload speed to better fit the reload animation
  • Fixed a crash that could happen in online play
  • Fixed some models that had issues with their LOD
  • Fixed fences that AI could not see through before
  • Multiple collision fixes across multiple levels
  • Multiple navigation fixes across multiple levels (mostly for optimization)

Tweaks
  • Enemy guard now spot dead bodies easier
  • Health pickups now drop more often from dead enemies on higher difficulties
  • The damage from the Kar98 enemies has been lowered
  • Commander spawn rate on Hard and Very hard is lowered
  • Lowered the amount of enemies across all difficulties slightly
  • Lowered amount of enemies per wave slightly ( more noticable on higher difficulties)
  • Flamer health slightly increased ( From 2000 to 2250 )
  • Enemies will now try to keep a longer distance and not rush the players as much
  • Changed the launch speed of the M24 ( to 350 )

Welcome to announcement day 3!
You have seen the Decoy Coin to lure guards away and improve your stealth gameplay, the new Kelly level which is playable in both loud and stealth, and now... it is time for the addition many of you have requested!



Introducing: Welrod!
Introducing the Welrod! This British bolt action, magazine fed suppression pistol was developed during World War II, and the epitome of suppression guns. It was used by the regular forces and the resistance against the Nazi regime, and now the RAID Gang have them!

Since we are looking at Stealth as a key gameplay element we want to improve in RAID, there is no better weapon to introduce then the Welrod.
Since we also made adjustments to the guards so that they don’t instantly go into an alert, using the Welrod will allow you to sneak up and take out patrols without being seen if timed correctly. Then all you have to do is clean up the bodies and dump them in places the enemy can’t see!



Changes in stealth:
Some levels will now have respawning guards, and their ability to see and find dead bodies is better. So hiding dead Nazi corpses is more important than ever. Remember, Killing Nazis is fun! But you need to clean up after yourself.

The respawn guards system is something that we want to go over all levels and add. But this will happen through patches down the line after we get some more feedback from you guys.

We tried to get it out today, however you will have to wait until tomorrow ( Friday ) for the update since we and the testers need some more time for the final checks. Until then, stay safe, kill Nazis, and Blammo!

Day 2 has come, hopefully you are looking forward to the new Decoy coin! Now if only there were more stealth levels in RAID to use the coin in you say?



Introducing the new Raid "Kelly"!
"Kelly" is the newest raid added for the greediest of players.

Kelly can be completed fully in stealth, and there are a couple of new things that we haven't done before here. For example, the weather and time of day are randomized. The level can be played during the day, night, and in heavy fog/rain. This is a new thing that we want to try. We hope to hear your thoughts on wanting to see this more in the future.



Story
Mrs. White and the RAID gang got wind of the Nazis taking a large amount of stolen gold from France into Germany. They are tasked with intercepting and stealing the gold from a temporary Nazi bank. Make sure you steal the gold before it's transported out of Berlin!


But, I like to blow shit up..
Do not worry! If the alarm goes off, ( or you simply wish to go loud from the start ) The vault will lock, and the gang will as always use some drastic measure to get into it. A tank is called in and, after you clean the path to the bank for it, the gang uses it together with some cable to simply pull the doors off the hinges.

Hey Raiders!

This update will come in three phases, we will announce something for every day up until the launch ( We are planning to launch Thursday 17:th )

The update is focused on some new stealth mechanics and some minor changes to how stealth works.

Full patch notes with bug fixes and tweaks etc will be posted on the last day before the update goes live. We also want to give a huge thanks to the community members who helped out with the testing, as well as the competition winners that got to try an early beta version, and gave us some feedback.

Update 19 Day 1:
Welcome to the day 1 reveal of Update 19!



Introducing the "Decoy coin"
The Decoy coin can be equipped in the grenade slot, and the player will start with 15 of them in the inventory. They can be replenished by picking up the grenade pickups from dead enemies, or crates around the levels.

The coin is used to distract enemies, and if used correctly ( Thrown in a place that a guard can reach ) an enemy will hear the coin hit the ground and walk over to the location to inspect. This gives you the time to sneak around them.

The coin can also be used to lure enemies into less visible areas for easier kill targets, where another enemy has less chance to see the dead body.

For this week’s newsletter has some exciting announcement!
We are looking to launch the Kelly level next week! We are working to debug the level now and it’s all taking shape nicely.

Our community moderators will reach out to the previous competition winner and a few select beta testers who may want to take part in testing the level before its live.

Next week we will also do daily announcements leading up to the Kelly level launch showcasing all the other features and content updates as part of the patch!
We don’t want to give too much away but stay tuned for a cool new level and some exciting new content!

Welcome to this week’s update!

On our newsletter this week we let you know what the bug fixes were, but we wanted to add a little surprise also.

For this week you also get the Browning Auto 5!





Designed as a rapid-fire weapon, it adds extra “blammo” fire power to the Demolition and Insurgent classes. To compensate for the rapid fire, the weapon holds 5 shells but with a starting total held ammo count of 20.

Of course, through using the Proficiencies and Weapon Upgrades you will be able to increase and find the combination that works for you!

The Browning Auto 5 unlocks for the following classes:

• Demolition at Level 33
• Insurgent at Level 40

Other bug fixes:

• Added Controller key binds for weapon skills, and toggling weapon cosmetics
• Fixed a bug where enemies health was inflating every time a level was loaded
• Fixed team AI being stun locked
• Changed all clothing customization to be also purchasable with gold (except items that came as special content)
• Changed multiplier for proficiency respec cost so it’s cheaper and cost scales lower

We wanted to get an update out in the interim while we are preparing to get the Kelly update ready!

We just finished the VO recording for for Kelly and pick ups for the Countdown levels (and some other secrets).

In the meantime we hope to have the following update out THIS WEEK!

- Added Controller key binds for weapon skills, and toggling weapon cosmetics

- Fixed a bug where enemies health was inflating every time a level was loaded

- Fixed team AI being stun locked

- Changed all clothing customization to be also purchasable with gold

- Changed multiplier for proficiency respec cost so its cheaper and cost scales lower

Raiders!

Hope you all had a fantastic Easter and some quality time with your families!
We wanted to give you a little update on what is happening in the production for RAID, and give a status update on first of all the "Kelly RAID" but also some things that we are working on for future updates.

KELLY RAID

This is what is taking most of our time, we are mostly finishing up the visible bugs and ironing out some pacing issues that we have had with the level. The main thing with the pacing is to get a nice balance between the stealth and loud versions of the level feel good.
What is taking the most time now is the VO, and we are recording that at the end of this week. We are also using the opportunity to record VO for a couple of other things while we have all the actors in one place, these are:
  • Filling holes on previous content where we felt there is VO missing.
  • Adding some lines to the stealth game play and making that more immersive.
  • Recording lines for a future update that we will talk about, very soon.






And off course the content that will come with the updates ( that we are not yet ready to reveal ) is something that we are hard at work on.


FUTURE CONTENT
The next thing we want to mention that we are working on besides "Kelly" is a daily mission system. Which will give you some extra cool new game play additions to all the current levels, and another way to get some more of that juicy gold.

More details on this will come in future newsletters however. Now stop eating Easter eggs and other delicious foods, and get back to killing some Nazis!
