Do you prefer your meat pristine and untouched or vigorously beaten? Symbiote Studios has you covered either way with a pair of limited edition Super Meat Boy vinyl figures, just in time to preorder for the holidays.
Symbiote Studios, the creators behind the silly anime-styled Jessica Chobot figures, has teamed up with Team Meat to forever immortalize Super Meat Boy in vinyl. Meat Boy's charm shines through, whether you prefer the normal figure or the one painted to look like it's been mugged.
Both figures stand eight inches tall and will set you back $39.95. I hope you like your meat rare; both versions are limited to 250 pieces.
Hit up the link to preorder one for yourself or someone you love. The figures aren't shipping until April, but the promise of a big slab of fake meat is almost as sweet as the real thing.

RPS reader (not making this up) Fuggles the Lightfuggly One sends word that PETA, aka People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has published a parody of Super Meat Boy. You can play Super Tofu Boy here. Is it still a parody if it’s just kind of… Super Meat Boy, again? There’s not much ridicule going on here, except for Bandage Girl two-timing Meat Boy. But you know, I always suspected she was bad news.
Which brings us to an interesting point. While Super Tofu Boy is a hundred miles away from the 24 carat running and jumping of SMB, it does use the same running and walljumping mechanics. For a quick & dirty look at the mechanics of Super Meat Boy, Super Tofu Boy can provide.
EDIT: Brave RPS commenter Terry points out that you could just play the Flash version of Meat Boy. So, I suppose this doesn’t need to exist after all.
Any flesh-shy vegetarian gamers who fell for Super Meat Boy's perfect platforming but balked at all the gore sloshing about might welcome news that US animal rights group PETA has just launched its own food-based jumper: Super Tofu Boy.
Rather than take control of a cube of raw steak as you did in Team Meat's Xbox Live Arcade hit, PETA's effort sees the titular lump of bean curd trying to save Bandage Girl from the clutches of jilted ex-boyfriend Meat Boy.
Have a go - it's not half bad actually.
When Eurogamer spoke to Team Meat prior to the game's release, co-CEO Edmund McMillen told us he was disappointed that the game hadn't already attracted PETA's attention.
"I kind of wish that PETA had flipped out over it so that we could get some crazy press out of it," he said,
"but no, they don't seem to care at all."
A post on Team Meat's Twitter feed today reads "Holy sh*t, Peta made a Tofu parody game of Super Meat Boy... my dreams have come through!"
In other Super Meat Boy news, the brilliant indie platformer just launched on PC. There have been a few bugs reported though, and Team Meat are currently hard at work on a patch.

EDIT: The following is based on extensive time spent with the 360 version of SMB, and we’re hearing reports that the PC version currently has memory leak and gamepad support issues. We’ll be posting a full review of the PC version very soon.
EDIT 2: We’ve spoken to Team Meat, and they tell us they’re working hard on an update to fix issues right now, which will be out today.
EDIT 3: Pow! Team Meat slurp into action.>
Super Meat Boy is OUT, you know. You could be buying it over at Steam right the hell now with £11.99 of your (let’s face it) ill-gotten money. The only problem is, there’s no demo. This is me letting out a sigh like a shot from an air rifle.
Super Meat Boy is a steaming steak of brilliance, served with a rich, leathery wine with a label that reads Chateau Just One More Go. A demo will unquestionably result in Team Meat selling more copies, and the sooner it arrives the better. Until then, I suppose I’ll have to sell you this game with my trademark hyperbole. You got a minute? If so, let’s do this. You need Super Meat Boy in your life because… (more…)
The first in a series of free level packs has just gone live for vicious Xbox Live Arcade jumper Super Meat Boy.
Exclusive to Xbox 360, The Sewers of Dross pack adds 20 new levels, though the game's titular hero cedes the limelight to Gish, a 12lb lump of tar moonlighting from the 2004 PC indie platformer of the same name.
"This setup allows us to make chapters that no other character could beat except the one in question, a very fun restriction that allows us to make totally fresh levels that almost make the game feel like a whole new platformer," explained developer Team Meat on its blog.
The DLC will be free, though you'll need to have unlocked the 'Teh Internets' area in the game by collecting at least 20 bandages.
Team Meat also lifted the lid on future DLC plans for the game, posting the following schedule:
Can't wait for I Meat Boy. It's not as if the game was hard enough already.
Super Meat Boy launched on Xbox Live Arcade last month, winning a 9/10 from Eurogamer's Tom Bramwell.
A PC version is due on 30th November, with a WiiWare take to hopefully follow next year.
