The release of this island comes along with three brand new cards for everyone to use, along with Goki - Fugoro's helpful mining cousin. Goki is a card designed specifically for co-op missions that can add treasures only to your ally's hand!






Win the loyalty of the Oversky's greatest shaman, Ulani, by completing a series of difficult trials. This island contains 7 new Oversky cards and a unique ally to help you on future co-op adventures.



We'd like to make note that Azure Skywhale has indeed changed since its reveal along with the Swallow mechanic a few weeks ago. It is now a 6/8 and no longer gains life when swallowing. It's still quite the beast!

During the Monthly Cup stream this Saturday, we'll be revealing six new cards that are coming with the islands of the Oversky!



In addition to the reveals, we'll be airing the first ever Oversky showmatch before the Grand Finals of the cup, featuring cards from the Oversky! Make sure to tune in - see more about the Monthly Cup and how to win prizes below.


As mentioned a few times before, we are continually testing and balancing Oversky content up until the time it is released, and sometimes it may result in larger design changes. Even though the content isn't released, we like to keep you updated on what we're doing with it.

We have made a distinct change to the Swallow mechanic, which will be available starting Tuesday of next week. The change to the keywording is as follows:

• " Swallow: Imprisons a creature inside this. When this dies, the creature is released (you can't swallow a creature which swallowed another one). "

This design change is meant to prevent what we tend to call "Swallowception," which is when something swallows a creature that had already swallowed something. Previously, you could do this with no limitation, meaning you could swallow a creature that swallowed another one, which swallowed something else, that swallowed Krog.

Not only does this increase the load of tracking complexity for the player (a game design term we use that roughly describes the amount of things a player needs to remember), it would also force us to create a UI that would become cluttered very quickly with all of this information. Swallowception also incentivizes deck-building styles that stack many cards that Swallow, an issue that will only become amplified in the future as we add more cards that swallow, therefore limiting our Swallow design space.

This is the reason we're no longer allowing things to swallow creatures that already have something in their belly.

As with every other Monthly Cup, Eggs will be hatching the entire weekend.

There are 8 total hatchlings you can potentially get. After that, your Eggs won't hatch. It's possible to hatch more than one Egg in the same weekend. If you're logged into Faeria during the hatching period, your Eggs are even more likely to hatch.

We have just pushed a server and client update to fix a number of bugs that had been reported to us since yesterday.

• Fixed a bug which caused the game to crash when clicking the back arrow out of a lobby
  
• Fixed a bug in Pandora which caused the “treasure found” to not work
  
• When a player disconnects while a game is launching from a lobby, other players in the lobby will no longer be frozen
  
• Changes applied to Jalmyr’s puzzles #25 and #27 following recent card balance changes
  
• Fixed a bug where using a mythic card to create a mythic card (cards such as Battle Toads) would cause a client crash
  
• Fixed a bug which caused some players to crash when returning to the world map after completing a mission.
  
• Fixed a bug caused when opening the Adventure Pouch with language set to Korean
  
• Improvements made to the diversity of Wild Mission Packs

How does Co-op mode work?



When you enter co-op mode you will see a new board layout with three orbs on the field. You and your ally will be on the bottom of the field. Hover over your ally’s orb at any time to see their current Faeria, hand size, and land amounts.

You and your ally share a life total! Any damage you or your ally takes is delivered to both of you at the same time, so make sure to protect your friends.

Each player takes one turn as normal. You will notice that your ally’s lands have a new shade of color applied to them. You may not place units on your ally’s lands or build off of them.

For the Emperor’s Challenge, you must invite a friend to participate. Further adventures in the Oversky will allow you to choose an NPC ally.

Where can I get my Adventure Pouch: Oversky?

If you’ve pre-ordered it already, you’ll find it waiting for you on the main menu next to Sharra. Otherwise you have the option to purchase it in gems as part of the Pioneer or Supporter bundle.

What does the Adventure Pouch do?

The Adventure Pouch is a special item you can obtain to help you explore the Oversky, of which the islands will become available starting next week. It will level up based on daily activities you participate in, and award you various special cosmetics, gold, gems, and chests.

We’ve had our eyes on the current state of the game after the last set of balance changes, and believe it’s important for us to step in and correct a problem that has emerged with decks that tend to buff haste creatures in hand and win in one single, explosive turn.

We recognize there are a few ways to approach a solution to this problem and appreciate everyone’s feedback on the matter. We believe targeting Oakling with this change will still allow it to be a very powerful card with Feed the Forest, but not necessarily in a deck stacked with Haste creatures generally found outside of Green, and give us more comfortable room in our design space.


All of today’s coincides with this month’s season reset, meaning the next Monthly Cup is this coming weekend.

• Fixed some instances where the craft and disenchant buttons that could sometimes craft and disenchant multiple cards when buttons were double clicked rapidly
• After editing a deck, it is now automatically selected as the deck you'll play with
• Hoaka cosmetic set is now available for purchase
• Reduced the size of Hoaka's orb to make it more inline with other orbs
• The behavior of the "bump" animation playing on all creatures with taunt whenever the player wants to move, attack or summon something has been improved. It will now execute the "bump" only on relevant taunting creatures instead of all of them.
• Fixed instances where the Pandora tutorial was being played repeatedly on each new Pandora run
• Fixed occurrences of a bug leading the in-game camera to be misplaced after several turns
• Fixed a bug sometimes making the game quit unexpectedly if the steam client was not running

It's time you meet the Rakoa, a race native to the islands of the Oversky. Don't forget - season reset is this coming Monday! Also, we give a fond farewell to Dan.




You may have noticed a recurring theme in several of the previously revealed cards from the Oversky. Who are all those furry little creatures in the background? It's probably time that you meet the Rakoa.



The Rakoa are a peaceful collection of various tribes, reveling in the wonder of the Oversky and exploring its shifting islands. They have a unique affinity with the elements, which is why you can find Rakoa in any color. While they do hunt and herd, the Oversky's abundance and ever-shifting geography has made conflict over territory pointless. As such, the Rakoa have no real concept of war and focus instead on exploration to bring wondrous stories and treasure home to their tribes.

You'll become quite familiar with them as you journey into the Oversky this summer, including the new Rakoan Reveller and Rakoan Chieftain.

We'd like to wish a fond farewell to one of our game designers who will be leaving us next week.

Dan Felder has been with Abrakam for more than 2 years now, and has helped shaped much of the world in Faeria that you have come to know and love. Not only has he designed many of the cards you're familiar with, but he's constructed many of Jalmyr's puzzles, World Bosses, characters, and other quests. Dan will be moving back to America to work on Hearthstone with Blizzard, and we wish him the very best - we know he'll be a fantastic addition to their team!

Dan wanted to share a few words with the community on his departure and time with Abrakam:

"Hello fellow yak-lovers. Three years ago I met the lead designers on Faeria at a game developer’s conference in California. After bonding over our shared love of card games, they offered me a key to Faeria’s beta. I immediately fell in love with the game, and started sending endless suggestions for tweaking the card base and mechanics. Not ready to wait for digital updates, I cut out a paper prototype and printed the new designs on cards for physical playtesting. Here’s a picture of a few cards from those early prototypes...."
