Hello everybody, we are very excited, even STOKED to announce we have just released a MAJOR ART UPDATE for the AlterVerse Game Client!
A NEW BRIDGE, NEW TRAINING CENTER, NEW TREASURY HOLD ROOM AND GAUNTLET. NEW TELEPORT ROOM LOCATION AND TONS OF NEW OPTIONS FOR THE IN-GAME CUSTOMIZER ARE JUST A LITTLE BIT OF THE NEW CHANGES!
Along with all the above mentioned highlights included in this Major Art Update we have recreated all of the hallway models and several of the large room models so that you can now choose between 10 ceiling textures, 10 wall textures, 10 floor textures and 9 light colors. We have them in matching sets but you can also mix them up as desired. You might think Wall Option 1 looks better with Floor Option 5 for example. There are virtually thousands of different combinations now to personalize your Disrupter ship. We can’t possibly show them all here, you’ll have to launch your ship and play with the Customizer yourself to get a true feeling for the endless possibilities! We also updated the Crew Room model and color options. Plus we adjusted some oversized collision meshes on several models and added a few new types of barrels and crates. Basically this is a complete overhaul of the Disrupter ship!
WE HAVE A NEW BRIDGE!
The Disrupter ship’s Bridge is completly remodeled. A more open layout with a few chairs and holographic PC screens. We even have a new holographic map of the whole ship right on the Bridge now! No more getting lost. LOL
WE HAVE A NEW TRAINING CENTER!
Sharpen up your aim! Practice your shooting and dodging skills in the Brand New Training Center! Currently there are several targets and movable boxes for now. We can even use this room for practice battles. The Training Center is a work in progress project and just waiting for you all to check it out and share with us your ideas. We’ve replaced the Draftball Court with the new Training Center and will release the Draftball game in a future update.
THE TELEPORT CENTER HAS MOVED!
We have moved the Teleport Center to a more strategic location. This way you are not starting on the third floor when you arrive to Raid a ship! Your adversaries will no longer have the advantage of knowing you’re coming from the third floor. There’s also new holographic maps in the Teleport Center to help you on your way. Mama Bahamma’s Lounge is now in the old TP center location sporting a great view of the XR75 Ring Course! Make sure to check it out! You just may find a snack or two.
A REDESIGNED TREASURY HOLD AND GAUNTLET!
The Ship’s Treasury Hold room has a fresh new look, even the Droid Bots got a buffing and an upgrade to their weapons to better protect the treasury! The Gauntlet has been renamed more appropriately. It’s now the Utility Shaft and it is dark and spooky just like you’d think a utility shaft would be! Use at your own risk! You never know what may be lurking in the dark.
NEW CONTROL ROOM
The control room has a new look too! To see it though, you’ll have to aquire the “tool” to get through the doors! For a sneek peak pic of what’s behind the doors, Click here.

COMING SOON!
In the next update we’ll have some HUGE performance improvements. The devs are currently working on improvements and upgrades for the game engine code. Two of the many improvements that they are working on are adding multi-threading support which will increase the amount of actions the engine can do simultaneously and an upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit memory addressing. These two performance upgrades are much bigger and more important than they may sound. The new memory addressing alone is huge! Just to give you an idea of how big a difference it is, a 64 bit system is able to access over FOUR BILLION times the physical memory of a 32-bit system! Sure sounds impressive, eh? It is also a ton of work and takes a lot of time, but our Devs are up to it. It is well worth all it takes, because these upgrades will definitely give players a much better overall gameplay experience. And that is the whole idea! Am I right?
So, log in the AlterVerse now, check it all out, customize your ship or try to raid the Magellan. We are looking forward to seeing you there and hearing more of your great ideas and feedback.
We are happy to announce, we have completed our open beta testing phase! We will be pausing the Disruption Ops Events until after the next update.
Here's a big THANK YOU to everyone that participated in the testing. Everyone's time, feedback and awesome ideas are greatly appreciated.
All of us here are now currently working hard on the next big game update. Even though, as anxious as we are to tell you all about all the new changes coming, we still wish to keep things a bit secret. I can tell you though, there are some fantastic changes coming in this next version. Just about everything from more user friendly login screens, raiding and gameplay changes to better graphics rendering and performance enhancements in the game engine.
When it's ready we'll test this new version and if all goes well, we'll make an official update release announcement! So in the meantime, launch a Disrupter ship or raid the Magellan and keep checking your inbox for the announcement!
Hi everybody, we just released a HUGE update to the AlterVerse Game client! It's so huge in fact, we're calling it a Monster Game Update! This Monster Game Update is filled with many exciting new features, several gameplay changes for Metagaming, plus tons of performance improvements and bug fixes! Here’s some of the more exciting highlights below!
NEW FEATURES!
Multiple Hitboxes For The Player Models!
That’s right, now you can aim for the head and get rewarded for a successful headshot! There are now four seperate hitbox areas, the head and neck, the torso, arms and legs. Weapon damage amounts are multiplied depending on where you hit your target. A headshot is worth 1.5 times the damage of the weapon being used, the body is 1 times, arms are set at 0.5 times and legs are 0.7 times the damage amount of the weapon being used. No weapons will cause a one hit headshot kill on a player with FULL health. However, do keep this in mind, if you're a little low on health it'd be best to eat!
Photon Shield!
Now you can get yourself a little more protection with a Photon Shield. This new shield is made from a specialy crafted plasma material that adds an extra 300 HP to your health. Designed to mitigate any damage received till the 300 HP wears out, then it collapses and disappears. But, if you're lucky enough to get another one before the first one wears out, the current Photon Shield refills back up to the max! When the Photon Shield is active you'll see a Photon Shield HP level bar right above your Health Bar.
Coloured Player Name Tags!
Team killing just got a bit harder! LOL If you have ever had problems distinguishing a friend from a foe, don't worry the player name tags are now coloured accordingly, GREEN for Alliance members and friends, BLUE for NPC's and RED for enemies or foes!
GAMEPLAY CHANGES!
No more flinching when shot! Not much else to say here except, YAHOO! YIPPEE! KYUOO!
The Yuls, the Disrupter ship's AI Defenders now grant items upon death! It can be a very long and dangerous trip to the Treasury Hold of a Disrupter ship during a Raid. You need to be prepared and ready for combat. We want to help! So to help you on your way, the Yul's will now grant you ammo or a Photon Shield. A randon type of ammo pack or a Photon Shield will automatically be placed into your inventory and you will get a HUD message announcing your reward with every successful take down of an enemy Yul! The chances of getting any one specific item is as follows, Photon Shield 20% chance, Plasma Blaster rings 20%, Intimidator Shotgun shells 30% and Enforcer Pistol bullets 30%. Of course there's always a twist! Only Raiders can be granted the rewards from the Yuls.
You no longer need to manually change weapons when you run out of ammo. When your active pouch slot or your currently equipped item is emptied, either from running out of ammo or dropping, throwing or eating, the next available slot becomes active and ready to use! While preparing for battle, remember this when organizing your pouches and have your backup weapon or food set and ready to go!
Yul kill messages are now broadcast to everyone on the server. Now you'll know when an enemy is killing your ship's AI defence Yuls.
To help you protect the Disrupter's Treasury, the damage and firing rate for the big Droid's weapons have been increased. At the same time we reduced their range, so they can't shoot down the Gauntlet.
Now you can see a health bar above your reticle when aiming at the Yuls, so you can see their HP and know that you are indeed hitting them while firing.
The distance we can see the player name tags is set to 100 meters. This is to help us get a little bit closer to the enemy without our name tags giving away our position!
Gave feet the ability to trigger hitbox detection. Now a kick in the head is worth more than a kick in the butt!
PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES!
The Apple Fix for the inventory bug when a player dies. When you die with apples they won't multiply or get placed in your pouch anymore.
Used up food items will no longer remain in your active slot.
Adjusted weapon timing to prevent miss fires when clicking too fast.
New easier to find and easier to see Health bar.
Changed the Gauntlet lasers to turn on only during a raid.
Added death triggers to the elevator floors in case someone falls through the edges to prevent exploiting.
Reduced pickup and interaction distance. You'll have to get much closer to things in order to interact with them. This is to help prevent a few issues like accidently sitting in a chair while gathering food in the Mess Hall.
Increased the velocity on projectiles - Enforcer Pistol from 200 to 300, the Plasma Blaster from 150 to 300 and Intimidator Shotgun from 150 to 200.
The flying Defence Drones have been made into AI and now have an attack animation. Plus they have been completly overhauled to keep them from moving out of their hitbox and to improve performance.

We’ve just released another AlterVerse game update!
In this update we have added more AI Defenders and adjusted some of the weapons and made a few more changes!
There are now a maximum of 20 AI defenders in total. This makes it much more challenging to raid a ship!
The AI Defenders now have a proper name. We call them all, Yul.
The Yul's detection range distance has been adjusted down a bit so they can't shoot you before you can see them.
We lowered the amount of damage weapons cause to make the time-to-kill a bit longer and help make shootouts more fun. Hit damage is now 100-DP for the Plamsa Blaster, 85-DP for the Intimidater ShotGun and 70-DP for the Enforcer Pistol.
Bullet drop on the Intimidater ShotGun has been reduced to make it a bit more accurate.
We lowered the impact force of weapons to help reduce the amount of fliching when getting shot.
Also we added some sound effects for when a raid begins or ends and for the Air Raid system that will be coming out soon.
The AI defenders will not be able to shoot through the walls and floors any more.

Don't like leaving your ship unattended while you're out pillaging other ships? Well fret no more, you can now feel and be confident your Treasury Loot is safe!
We now have AI Defenders built into the Disrupter Ship's Automatic Defence System. As soon as a Raid is launched on your ship and the Raid Warning sounds, AI Defenders will automatically spawn in strategically selected areas around the ship and will fiercely attack any enemies they encounter!
There are a maximum of 10 AI defenders in total. Your ship will start with 10 AI defenders and then remove one for every Alliance member that joins the ship as a member. So there will always be at least 10 defenders on your ship.
There are 42 different spawn locations, for now they are randomly selected. Since there are only 10 AI Defenders, they use less than 1/4 of the posible locations, so they'll be in different places for every raid.
Beware, if you attempt to raid a ship now! These AI Defenders are highly trained and do their job well!
While flying around in an XR75 you'll notice some numbered rings floating in space near the Aft section of the ship. This is a work in progress race course for the XR75 Fighter ships. Hop in an XR75 and give it a try and let us know your ideas on how we can make it an exciting addition to the game!
Also we fixed a couple bugs, you can now raise your weapons to aim down site while running without having to stop.
When dismounting chairs or other static objects, players are returned to the position they mounted from instead of outside the ship or in a wall!
This update brings us to Game version 0.0.9.2. View all the new changes on the AlterVerse changelog here.

We've released another exciting game update! First one for 2018!
We've made some big changes to the weapons characteristics. We've added scripting to allow us to adjust the projectile velocity, the gravity, also known as bullet drop, the direct damage and the impact forces of all the weapons with projectiles. We are also currently working on the hip-firing and aim-down-site mechanics for a more realistic shooting experience.
We'll be tweaking the above settings using player feedback we receive while testing during Raid Events, so make sure you log on during a Raid Event, play around with the weapons, shoot a bunch of enemies and let us know your ideas.
We removed the lazers from the Treasury Hold doorways and replaced the back ones with two new lazers that you do not have to jump over. However, they still zap a bit and reduce your health level, so you better have some food with you if you're looking to make a fast escape with the loot through the Gauntlet. In the front entrance hallway we placed a few crates for cover.
Now you'll be able to identify everyone who's aboard the Disrupter Ships, we've added player-identifiers also known as player-tags or simply, names above the player's heads. Just in case you don't want to see the names, there's a new option to turn the name feature on or off and can be found on the Game Settings general page.
A new Cargo Bay! In preparation for the forthcoming Air Raid feature, a cargo bay has been built into the underbelly of the Disrupter ships. When completed you'll be able to fly your XR75 fighter ship into the Cargo Bay, jump out and retrieve the treasury loot, then hop back in your XR75 and fly out into the openness of space with your newly acquired riches!
Some quality of life bug fixes and performance improvements have also been included. You can see all the new changes on the official AlterVerse changelog here.
