The next release is here with the biggest change being the addition of String Objects. I’ll be making a tutorial video on how this works soon, but until then be sure to read the brief notes in the Help file (F1) and maybe check out some old BTB youtube videos of what they provide.
For people familiar with String Objects from BTB you will already know what to expect. There have been some improvements with a couple of refinements on how objects and their vertices can be lowered to the ground. In addition I spent a couple of days working to make the code multi-threaded so they are a bit quicker to calculate.
The interface also updates really quickly so you can move the nodes around fast and the background, multithreaded task will recalculate the String Object. The function to align a string object with the track is not yet ready, but I didn’t want to hold up this release any longer – with Steam, updates are really simple so once it’s ready I’ll make that available too.
There will be more XPack content added over the coming weeks and I’ll be making several tutorial videos explaining XPacker in greater detail.
The official list of changes: - Added String Objects. - Improved texture of Rumble Strips. - FIX: Track export to AC now splits into multiple sub-objects if vertex count exceeds 65535. - FIX: AC export now flips the X value for the Normal to match flipping of Position X value. - FIX: Bump mapping on objects now displayed correctly.

v1.1.0.2 - FIX: Error when dragging a material from the toolbar to an empty area of a track (Thanks to Chris S. for reporting the bug in great detail).

I'm proud (and slightly sleepy) to announce that the latest update is ready. The BIGGEST change is the inclusion of OBJECTS - you can now start to decorate your tracks. More Expansion Packs (XPacks) will arrive in due course.
More changes will come over time to improve on this interface. More Gizmo's for resizing and scaling (instead of having to hold R or S) will be added as well as more Properties about the Objects themselves.
I've already begun work on the next big change; the inclusion of Complex Objects (Parent/Child relationships) and String Objects (Bendy curves of connected objects).
The official change log for this release ... v1.1.0.0 - Added Objects. - Load more XPacks via the Edit...XPacks menu. - Support for Assetto Corsa 3d Grass shader. - Added Assetto Corsa AlphaRef Material property. - XPacker: added ability to double-side an object. This is useful when converting Objects that were made in BTB that relied on using a double sided material. - XPacker: Cross-section now includes default Camber Strength and Panel Length. - Default Cross-sections for AC roads contain more detail. - FIX: Bug that caused a crash (sadface) when opening up a project of a particular type when one of another particular type was already loaded.

One minor fix ... - FIX: White border on AC tracks that were using Blended Alpha.
Note:
I had attempted to fix the high frame rate problem that is causing some cards to work hard producing very high frame rates, however it some systems didn't like this so I've produced a test version with more debug statements in order to find the cause of the problem.
If you'd like to try this version and give some feedback you'll find the test version in the folder
