Submit your levels by publishing them and sharing the level codes in the Steam comments or on the Ultimate Chicken Horse Discord by Feb 13th at 10 AM PST.
We’ll take up to 15 of the most heartwarming creations to feature in the game for Valentine's Day. Check out last year’s sweet picks:
How do I make a custom level?
While in-game, open the menu and select “Free Play Mode”. Then go down the well to the underground area. On the left, jump on the “Blank Level” to start building!
Share your level by opening the menu and pressing “Save and Share Level”. Save your level as Online, Party or Challenge, and Public, then press “Publish” to get your level code.
Hello, we wanted to extend a massive thank you to everyone who submitted their incredible art, it was such a pleasure to look through, and very difficult to decide who would win. While there were so many amazing pieces to pick from, we ultimately had to settle with a top three (and a phenomenal runner-up).
Here are our three winners and two runner-ups for our Pet Art Competition. Presented in no particular order we have...
This is PuppetSquid's Storm! Storm spends his time at Alfie's Island (a dog cafe) where he is gradually learning to be less anxious.
This is Googly's Dalmata. Dalmata is a friend's pet who recently passed away. What a beautiful tribute❤️
This is Lemon the Dart Frog by StrayGalaxy. We are positively obsessed with that little outfit 🌺😭 And our runner-up:
This is RitzRaspa’s Max—affectionately described as “doofy”, and we could not agree more.
Again, thank you so much to each and every one of you for your work—your love for UCH sustains us and is what makes this community so great.
Hope the holiday season treats you all wonderfully, we can't wait to share with you more things in the new year!
Well, now's your chance to show off your art chops for a chance to win some sweet, sweet merch. Submit your work to pets@clevendeav.com. Check out the terms and conditions {LINK REMOVED}here.
Secondly, I'm excited to share with you the winners of our Halloween Featured Levels. Here they are...
Thanks to all who submitted--I hope you'll also submit to our pet competition, we're itching to see what cool stuff people create :)
Ultimate Chicken Horse version 1.9.02 is now Live!
Here's a reminder of what to expect:
Both of the services that the game uses for all of the online content and online multiplayer had to be replaced. The game should work exactly as it did before, but you may notice some strangeness in this transitional period:
Extremely new content (levels, votes, challenge times) may be lost if they were posted between the last time we grabbed data and now. We'll work to retrieve that if we can. We should be able to at least retrieve the newest levels in the coming days.
Many older uploaded levels will be missing. Due to technical constraints, we weren't able to migrate every single level that had ever been uploaded. We've managed to migrate over 200,000 levels that were either popular or created in the last year. You can use the "My Levels" filter to see which of your published levels made it over. If any of your levels seem to be missing but you still have a local copy saved, feel free to publish it again!
Almost all of the data besides uploaded levels should be present and visible. This includes level statistics, high scores and your personal bests. Note that in places where a username is shown, if the associated user comes from data that was migrated the display name will be whatever it was at that time and may not update if that same user changes their display name in the future.
Patch Notes
Features:
Added crossplay with Xbox. All platforms can now play together!
Replaced the GameSparks server solution with BrainCloud, this now handles all player authentication, level uploads, level bans, challenge times, user bans, etc.
Added "Tournament" as a preset. These rules were suggested to us by the community.
Added new Farmhands, Syd (community manager) and SuperNimbus (team we worked with for server changes) to the credits
Bug Fixes:
Fixed animal icons navigating inventory sometimes lose their costumes
Characters dance sound continues when jumping directly from dance
Lots of bug fixes involving the changes that were made to the servers
Our patch is coming out shortly (this Tuesday) and we have lots of info to throw your way!
The patch’s purpose is to move servers and tweak some bugs. However, we're also not solidly sure what issues may appear while the levels are porting from new users from one server to the next, so we would advise the following during this transition period of 48 hours:
- Don’t make any new levels during this transition period!
- Don’t try to beat any high scores!
- Don’t upvote/downvote anything!
In short: save your creativity/speedruns for two days later!
Now, for the GOOD stuff:
- Did someone ask for Xbox cross-play? Well, we heard you! Everyone is now able to play with everyone! But…
- It should be known that Xbox Gamertags are displayed as anonymous in leaderboards and results screens, this is normal and expected. This is due to Xbox’s legal standards and set-up, not something on our end.
Thank you to everyone who submitted levels for the summer event!

Enjoy, happy gaming and have a wonderful summer <3
Summer? Sure, it’s cool. But in all honestly, I’m mostly excited for the beautiful UCH summer-inspired levels that are coming our way. Make sure to submit them by June 30th, 10:00 am EST.
Here are a couple of prompts for your levels:
Ice cream on the beach
Festivals and fireflies
Picnic and Poolside parties
BBQs and Camping
Road trips to the countryside
To publish a custom level, go into Free Play mode and make your level. Then open the Menu, go to Save and Share Level, save your level Online as a Public level, and Publish to get the shareable level code.
There are two types of levels you can submit: a party level or a challenge level.
A good feature party level:
Has a good balance of aesthetics/theme and gameplay
Has the flag visible and easy to access
[OPTIONAL] Can be completed in challenge mode for our speedrunners
Examples of party levels that are good for feature: KVYX-7MM2, VXUB-M8F0
A good feature challenge level:
Isn’t too easy, it should have some level of challenge to it (so it’s not just run straight to the right for an automatic goal)
Isn’t too difficult either. It shouldn’t include difficult techniques, require every move to be precise,
Includes our level submission theme!
Examples of good challenge levels for feature: VWXZ-EWJA, WRJB-NFMV
Submit your level codes below in the comments or under any one of our social platforms.
